Arguments are given that support the interpretation of the lattice QCD glueball and gluelump spectra in terms of bound states
of massless constituent gluons with helicity 1. In this scheme, we show that the mass hierarchy of the currently known gluelumps
and glueballs is mainly due to the number of constituent gluons and can be understood within a simple flux tube model. It
is also argued that the lattice QCD 0+- glueball should be seen as a four-gluon bound state. We finally predict the mass of the 0- state, not yet computed in lattice QCD. 相似文献

A careful analysis of the available data on thef,f′ and θ mesons is carried out. It is shown that a coherent mixing scheme for these three mesons is not ruled out by the present data. Several consequences and predictions from this scheme are presented and, in particular, a new methodology for testing the validity of the flavour independence hypothesis for tensor glueball decays is discussed. The ambiguities left open by the present analysis call for better data in “conventional” spectroscopy. In particular, a better knowledge of the γγ, ππ and \(K\bar K\) decay modes of tensor mesons would help very much in clarifying the tensor glueball picture. 相似文献

After considering its mixing with the glueball, we give a new mass relation for the meson nonet. According to this mass relation and the predicted mass of the pseudoscalar glueball given by lattice calculations and the effective Hamiltonian, the expected mass of the mixed pseudoscalar glueball is about 1.7 GeV. This result is helpful in the experimental search for the mixed isoscalar pseudoscalar glueball. η(1760) is discussed as a possible candidate for this type of particle. 相似文献

The truncated eigenvalue equation of SU(N) lattice gauge theory is studied by using improved lattice gauge Hamiltonian with a proper truncation scheme that preserves the continuum limit. Glueball Spectrum is studied using an improved gluonic action on asymmetric lattices in the pure SU(3) gauge theory.The smallest spatial lattice spacing is about 0.08 fm which makes the extrapolation to the continuum limit more reliable.In particular.attention is paid to the scalar glueball mass which is known to have problems in the extrapolation.Converting our lattice results to physical units using the scale set by the static quark potential,we obtain the following results for the glueball masses:MG(0 )=1730(90)MeV for the scalar glueball mass and MG(2 )=2400(95)MeV for the tensor glueball. 相似文献

Confinement model for gluons using a ‘colour super current’ is formulated. An attempt has been made to derive a suitable dielectric
function corresponding to the current confinement. A simple inhomogeneous dielectric confinement model for gluons is studied
for comparison. The model Hamiltonians are second quantized and the glueball states are constructed. The spurious motion of
the centre of confinement is accounted for. The results of the current confinement scheme is found in good agreement with

A mixing scheme among three pseudoscalar mesons η, η′ and τ(1440) is proposed in order to analyze their \(q\bar q\) and gluonic components. Inequalities follow from requiring the consistency of the scheme and the range permitted for the mass of the pure gluonic state (glueball) turns out to be rather small. Lattice QCD predictions have motivated several recent studies of the mixing between the predicted glueball and a nonet in the GeV region. We show that results from apparently different approaches have some common features, explain why this is so and
abstract general conclusions. We place particular emphasis on the flavour dependent constraints imposed by decays of the , and to all pairs of pseudoscalar mesons. From these results we identify a systematic correlation between glueball mass, mixing,
and flavour symmetry breaking and conclude that the glueball may be rather lighter than some quenched lattice QCD computations
have suggested. We identify experimental tests that can determine the dynamics of a glueball in this mass region and discuss
quantitatively the feasibility of decoding glueball- mixing.

Ground-state scalar isoscalar mesons and a scalar glueball are described in a U(3)×U(3) chiral quark model of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) type with 't Hooft interaction. The latter interaction produces singlet-octet
mixing in the scalar and pseudoscalar sectors. The glueball is introduced into the effective meson Lagrangian as a dilaton
on the base of scale invariance. The mixing of the glueball with scalar isoscalar quarkonia and amplitudes of their decays
into two pseudoscalar mesons are shown to be proportional to current quark masses, vanishing in the chiral limit. Mass spectra
of the scalar mesons and the glueball and their main modes of strong decay are described.

An extended version of the AdS/QCD soft-wall model that incorporates QCD-like anomalous contributions to the dimensions of gauge theory operators is proposed. This exploratory approach leads to a relation between scalar glueball masses and beta functions. Using this relation, the properties of the glueball mass spectroscopy that emerge from phenomenological beta functions proposed in the literature are investigated. The reverse problem is also considered: starting from a linear Regge trajectory which fits the lattice glueball masses, beta functions with different asymptotic infrared behaviors are found. Remarkably, some of them present a fixed point at finite coupling. 相似文献
