We prove the converse of the trace theorem for the functions of the Sobolev spaces W p l on a Carnot group on the regular closed subsets called Ahlfors d-sets (the direct trace theorem was obtained in one of our previous publications). The theorem generalizes Johnsson and Wallin’s results for Sobolev functions on the Euclidean space. As a consequence we give a theorem on the boundary values of Sobolev functions on a domain with smooth boundary in a two-step Carnot group. We consider an example of application of the theorems to solvability of the boundary value problem for one partial differential equation. 相似文献

We prove the direct theorem on the traces of the Bessel potentials L p α defined on a Carnot group, on the regular closed subsets called Ahlfors d-sets. The result is convertible for integer α, i.e., for the Sobolev spaces W p α (the converse trace theorem was proven in [24]). This theorem generalizes A. Johnsson and H. Wallin’s results [13] for Sobolev functions and Bessel potentials on the Euclidean space. 相似文献

Classes of ultradifferentiable functions are classically defined by imposing growth conditions on the derivatives of the functions. Following this approach we consider a Fréchet-Schwartz space of infinitely differentiable functions on a closure of a bounded convex domain of multidimensional real space with uniform bounds on their partial derivatives. We find an estimate of the order of growth of the N-function (defining the Orlicz space) and show that, under certain additional constraints on the weights, this estimate is sharp. The method of undetermined coefficients generates a set of fixed-order approximations of spatial derivatives on an irregular stencil. An additional condition is proposed that singles out a unique scheme from this set. The resulting second-to-fourth order accurate approximations are applied to solving Poisson’s and the biharmonic equations. The bending of a plate supported by an edge, the nonlinear bending of a circular plate, and two-dimensional problems in solid mechanics are discussed.
