The competitive removal of Pb2+, Cu2+, and Cd2+ ions from aqueous solutions by the copolymer of 2‐acrylamido‐2‐methyl‐1‐propane sulfonic acid (AMPS) and itaconic acid (IA), P(AMPS‐co‐IA), was investigated. Homopolymer of AMPS (PAMPS) was also used to remove these ions from their aqueous solution. In the preparation of AMPS–IA copolymer, the molar percentages of AMPS and IA were 80 and 20, respectively. In order to observe the changes in the structures of polymers due to metal adsorption, FTIR spectra by attenuated total reflectancetechnique and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) pictures of the polymers were taken both before and after adsorption experiments. Total metal ion removal capacities of PAMPS and P(AMPS‐co‐IA) were 1.685 and 1.722 mmol Me2+/gpolymer, respectively. Experimental data were evaluated to determine the kinetic characteristics of the adsorption process. Competitive adsorption of Pb2+, Cu2+, and Cd2+ ions onto both PAMPS and P(AMPS‐co‐IA) was found to fit pseudo‐second‐order type kinetics. In addition, the removal orders in the competitive adsorption of these metal ions onto PAMPS and P(AMPS‐co‐IA) were found to be Cd2+ > Pb2+ > Cu2+ and Pb2+ > Cd2+ > Cu2+, respectively. The crystal structure of the title bifunctional silicon‐bridged compound, C35H31NSi, (I), has been determined. The compound crystallizes in the centrosymmetric space group P21/c. In the crystal structure, the pairs of aryl rings in the two different chromophores, i.e. 9‐phenyl‐9H‐carbazole and 9,9‐dimethyl‐9H‐fluorene, are positioned orthogonally. In the crystal packing, no classical hydrogen bonding is observed. UV–Vis absorption and fluorescence emission spectra show that the central Si atom successfully breaks the electronic conjugation between the two different chromophores, and this was further analysed by density functional theory (DFT) calculations.  相似文献

A metal‐organic framework (MOF ) formulated as [Cd23‐L)2(DMF )4]•H2O ( CdL ) [H2L =9‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)‐ 9H ‐carbazole‐3,6‐dicarboxylic acid, DMF =N ,N ‐dimethylformamide] was synthesized under solvothermal condition. Crystal structural analysis reveals that CdL features the layered 2D framework with L2 ligands as 3‐connected nodes. The compound CdL emits blue‐violet light with the narrow emission peak and the emission maximum at 414 nm upon excitation at the maximum excitation wavelength of 340 nm. The compound CdL has a similar emission spectrum curve to the free H2L ligand that indicates the emission of compound CdL should be originated from the coordinated L2 ligands.  相似文献

2‐(2‐Hydroxy‐phenyl)‐4(3H)‐quinazolinone (HPQ), an organic fluorescent material that exhibits fluorescence by the excited‐state intramolecular proton‐transfer (ESIPT) mechanism, forms two different polymorphs in tetrahydrofuran. The conformational twist between the phenyl and quinazolinone rings of HPQ leads to different molecular packing in the solid state, giving structures that show solid‐state fluorescence at 497 and 511 nm. HPQ also shows intense fluorescence in dimethyl formamide (DMF) solution and selectively detects Zn2+ and Cd2+ ions at micromolar concentrations in DMF. Importantly, HPQ not only detects Zn2+ and Cd2+ ions selectively, but it also distinguishes between the metal ions with a fluorescence λmax that is blue‐shifted from 497 to 420 and 426 nm for Zn2+ and Cd2+ ions, respectively. Hence, tunable solid‐state fluorescence and selective metal‐ion‐sensor properties were demonstrated in a single organic material.  相似文献

A water in soluble long‐chain crown ether alkyl (C18)‐benzo‐15‐crown‐5 was synthesized and applied as a coating material on quartz crystal membranes of a liquid flow piezo electric crystal sensor. The oscillating crown ether‐coated piezo electric (PZ) crystal with a home‐made computer inter face was prepared as a liquid chromato graphic (LC) detector for organic species and metal ions in aqueous solutions. The oscillating frequency of the quartz crystal decreased due to the adsorption of organic molecules or metal ions on crown ether molecules. Effects of functional group, molar mass, steric hindrance, and polarity of organic molecules on frequency responses of the crown ether coated PZ crystal detector were investigated. The frequency responses of the crown ether coated PZ crystal detector for various molecules were in the order: amines > carboxylic acids > alcohols > ketones. The crown ether PZ detector also exhibited good sensitivity for some heavy metal ions and the frequency shifts were in the order: Cr3+ » Pb2+ > Co2+ > Cd2+ > Ni2+ > Cu2+. The crown ether coated piezo electric crystal LC detector demonstrated low detection limits for various polar organic molecules, e.g., 6.0 × 10?5 M for propylamine, and metal ions, e.g., 2.9 × 10?5 M (1.8 ppm) for Cu2+; the crown ether PZ detector also gave good reproducibility when re used. A quite sensitive electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM) detection system was also set‐up for detecting trace heavy metal ions in solutions. The variation in frequency of the PZ crystal and the diffusion current were observed simultaneously after the reduction in heavy metal ions such as Cu2+ and Ni2+. The EQCM detection system exhibited fairly good sensitivity, e.g., 112 Hz/ppm for Cu2+ and a good detection limit, e.g., 0.13 ppm for Cu2+ ions. Comparison between EQCM and PZ detection systems was made and discussed.  相似文献

A series of novel, fluorene‐based conjugated copolymers, poly[(9,9‐bis{propenyl}‐9H‐fluorene)‐co‐(9,9‐dihexyl‐9H‐fluorene)] ( P1 ), poly[(9,9‐bis{carboxymethylsulfonyl‐propyl}fluorenyl‐2,7‐diyl)‐co‐(9,9‐dihexyl‐9H‐fluorene)] ( P2 ) and poly[(9,9‐dihexylfluorene)‐co‐alt‐(9,9‐bis‐(6‐azidohexyl)fluorene)] ( P3 ), are synthesized by Suzuki coupling reactions and their electrochemical properties, in the form of films, are investigated using cyclic voltammetry. The results reveal that the polymer films exhibit electrochromic properties with a pseudo‐reversible redox behavior; transparent in the neutral state and dark violet in the oxidized state. Among the three polymers, P2 possesses the shortest response time and the highest coloration efficiency value. These polymers emit blue light with a band gap value of around 2.9 eV and have high fluorescent quantum yields. Their metal ion sensory abilities are also investigated by titrating them with a number of different transition metal ions; all of these polymers exhibit a higher selectivity toward Fe3+ ions than the other ions tested with Stern–Volmer constants of 4.41 × 106M?1, 3.28 × 107M?1, 1.25 × 106M?1, and 6.56 × 106M?1 for P1 , P2 , water soluble version of P2 ( P2S ) and P3 , respectively. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The crystalline structure of mangiferin (=2‐β‐D ‐glucopyranosyl‐1,3,6,7‐tetrahydroxy‐9H‐xanthen‐9‐one; 1 ), a biologically active xanthenone C‐glycoside, isolated from the stem bark of Mangifera indica (Anacardiaceae), was unambiguously determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction (XRD). The crystal structure is summarized as follows: triclinic, P1, a=7.6575(5), b=11.2094(8), c=11.8749(8) Å, α=79.967(5), β=87.988(4), γ=72.164(4)°, V=955.3(1) Å3, and Z=2. The structure also shows two molecules in the asymmetric unit cell and five crystallization H2O molecules. The packing is stabilized by several intermolecular H‐bonds involving either the two symmetry‐independent mangiferin molecules 1a and 1b , or the H2O ones.  相似文献

The title compounds, the P(3)‐axially and P(3)‐equatorially substituted cis‐ and trans‐configured 9‐benzyl‐3‐fluoro‐2,4‐dioxa‐9‐aza‐3‐phosphadecalin 3‐oxides (=9‐benzyl‐3‐fluoro‐2,4‐dioxa‐9‐aza‐3‐phosphabicyclo[4.4.0]decane 3‐oxides=7‐benzyl‐2‐fluorohexahydro‐4H‐1,3,2‐dioxaphosphorino[4,5‐c]pyridine 2‐oxides) were prepared (ee >99%) and fully characterized (Schemes 2 and 4). The absolute configurations were deduced from that of their precursors, the enantiomerically pure ethyl 1‐benzyl‐3‐hydroxypiperidine‐4‐carboxylates and 1‐benzyl‐3‐hydroxypiperidine‐4‐methanols which were unambiguously assigned. Being configuratively fixed and conformationally constrained phosphorus analogues of acetylcholine, the title compounds represent acetylcholine mimetics and are suitable probes for the investigation of molecular interactions with acetylcholinesterase. As determined by kinetic methods, all of the compounds are moderate irreversible inhibitors of the enzyme.  相似文献

Novel PVC membrane (PME) and coated graphite (CGE) Cu2+‐selective electrodes based on 5,6,7,8,9,10‐hexahydro‐2H‐1,13,4,7,10‐benzodioxatriazacyclopentadecine‐3,11(4H,12H)‐dione are prepared. The electrodes reveal a Nernstian behavior over wide Cu2+ ion concentration ranges (1.0×10?7–1.0×10?1 M for PME and 1.0×10?8–1.0×10?1 M for CGE) with very low limits of detection (7.8×10?8 M for PME and 9.1×10?9 M for CGE). The potentiometric responses are independent of the pH of the test solutions in the pH range 2.7–6.2. The proposed electrodes possess very good selectivities for Cu2+ over a wide variety of the cations including alkali, alkaline earth, transitions and heavy metal ions. The practical utility of the proposed electrodes have been demonstrated by their use in the study of interactions between copper ions and human growth hormone (hGH) in biological systems, potentiometric titration of copper with EDTA and determination of copper content of a sheep blood serum sample and some other real samples.  相似文献

Methyl­ation of 9‐li­thia­ted ap‐9‐pivaloyl­fluorene, (I), as well as pivaloyl­ation of 9‐li­thia­ted 9‐methyl­fluorene provided rotationally stable sp‐9‐methyl‐9‐pivaloyl­fluorene, (III), C19H20O, which lies about a crystallographic mirror plane. Fluorene (I) exists exclusively in the ap configuration in solution (NMR) as well as in the crystalline state, reflecting the unfavorable interaction between the tert‐butyl and fluorene‐ring π electrons in the sp configuration. The existence of (III) exclusively in the sp configuration indicates that, in this case, the interaction between the tert‐butyl group and the fluorene‐ring π electrons provides relatively more thermodynamic stability than the steric interaction between the tert‐butyl and 9‐methyl groups (ap configuration).  相似文献

1,3‐Dichloro‐tetra‐n‐butyl‐distannoxane was firstly used to catalyze the direct substitution of 9H‐xanthen‐9‐ol with indoles at room temperature to afford a class of 3‐(9H‐xanthen‐9‐yl)‐1H‐indole derivatives in good to excellent isolating yield. We report on solution aggregates and backbone conformation of poly(9‐undecyl‐9‐methyl‐fluorene) (PF1‐11) and poly(9‐pentadecyl‐9‐methyl‐fluorene) (PF1‐15), having two different side chains compared with poly(9,9‐dihexylfluorene) (PF6) and poly(9,9‐dioctylfluorene) (PF8) with two identical side chains. In the poor solvent methylcyclohexane (MCH), X‐ray scattering indicates that PF1‐11 and PF1‐15 appear as three‐dimensional aggregates (5–10 nm wide and thick), forming ribbon‐like agglomerates (correlation lengths of 100 nm). PF6 and PF8 appear as two‐dimensional aggregates (>10 nm wide and 2–3 nm thick) involving ribbon‐like agglomerates (correlation lengths much greater than 100 nm). Upon heating, all aggregates undergo a gel–sol transition which occurs at lower temperatures for PF1‐11 and PF1‐15 (<60°C) than for PF6 and PF8 (>80°C). In the good solvent toluene, PF1‐11 and PF1‐15 form networks of cylindrical particles. The mesh size and the cylinder radius are smaller in 24°C toluene (60 nm, 0.5 nm) than in 60°C MCH (300 nm, 1–2 nm). Nuclear magnetic resonance spectra in toluene‐d8 together with density functional theory calculations suggest higher torsion angles between polymer repeat units for PF6, PF8, and PF1‐11 (less planar conformation) and a gauche arrangement of the dihedral angles between the bridge carbon atom and the side chain methylene groups in PF1‐15. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Novel 4‐hydroxyquinoline (4HQ) based tautomeric switches are reported. 4HQs equipped with coordinative side arms (8‐arylimino and 3‐piperidin‐1‐ylmethyl groups) were synthesized to access O or N‐selective chelation of Zn2+ and Cd2+ ions by 4HQ. In the case of the monodentate arylimino group, O chelation of metal ions induces concomitant switching of phenol tautomer to the keto form in nonpolar or aprotic media. This change is accompanied by selective and highly sensitive fluorometric sensing of Zn2+ ions. In the case of the bidentate 8‐(quinolin‐8‐ylimino)methyl side arm, NMR studies in CD3OD indicated that both Cd2+ and Zn2+ ions afford N chelation for 4HQ, coexisting with tautomeric switching from quinolin‐4(1H)‐one to quinolin‐4‐olate. In corroboration, UV/Vis‐monitored metal‐ion titrations in toluene and methanol implied similar structural changes. Additionally, fluorescence measurements indicated that the metal‐triggered tautomeric switching is associated with compound signaling properties. The results are supported by DFT calculations at the B3LYP 6‐31G* level. Several X‐ray structures of metal‐free and metal‐chelating 4HQ are presented to support the solution studies.  相似文献

Treatment of 9‐li­thia­ted fluorene with pivaloyl chloride provided ap‐9‐pivaloyl­fluorene, (1), the major product, and a minor product ultimately identified as the title compound, C23H26O2, (2). The latter was also formed directly, but slowly, from 9‐li­thia­ted‐(1) treated with pivaloyl chloride. Although (1) exists exclusively as its less sterically restricted ap rotamer, its sp2‐hybridized anion sterically impedes reaction at the 9‐position from either face. While 9‐li­thia­ted‐(1) is exclusively, but slowly, 9‐methyl­ated with methyl iodide, reaction with pivaloyl chloride, also slow, leads only to the O‐acyl­ated product, (2). The protons of the tert‐butyl‐C=C moiety approach a proton on the fluorene ring to well within the sum of their van der Waals radii, resulting in significant molecular compression, strain and distortion. For example, distortion in the moiety C=C(O)(C) is exhibited by the enlargement of C=C—C angle to 130.6 (2)° at the expense of the corresponding `equivalent' C=C—O angle, which is compressed to 116.46 (19)°.  相似文献

Studies of double‐stranded‐DNA binding have been performed with three isomeric bis(2‐(n‐pyridyl)‐1H‐benzimidazole)s (n=2, 3, 4). Like the well‐known Hoechst 33258, which is a bisbenzimidazole compound, these three isomers bind to the minor groove of duplex DNA. DNA binding by the three isomers was investigated in the presence of the divalent metal ions Mg2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, and Zn2+. Ligand–DNA interactions were probed with fluorescence and circular dichroism spectroscopy. These studies revealed that the binding of the 2‐pyridyl derivative to DNA is dramatically reduced in the presence of Co2+, Ni2+, and Cu2+ ions and is abolished completely at a ligand/metal‐cation ratio of 1:1. Control experiments done with the isomeric 3‐ and 4‐pyridyl derivatives showed that their binding to DNA is unaffected by the aforementioned transition‐metal ions. The ability of 2‐(2‐pyridyl)benzimidazole to chelate metal ions and the conformational changes of the ligand associated with ion chelation probably led to such unusual binding results for the ortho isomer. The addition of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) reversed the effects completely.  相似文献

In recent years, coordination polymers constructed from multidentate carboxylate ligands and N‐containing ligands have attracted much attention since these ligands can adopt a rich variety of coordination modes which can lead to crystalline products with intriguing structures and interesting properties. A new coordination polymer, namely poly[[diaqua[μ‐2,7‐bis(1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)fluorene‐κ2N3:N3′][μ‐5,5′‐methylenebis(3‐carboxy‐2,4,6‐trimethylbenzoato)‐κ2O1:O1′]zinc(II)] hemihydrate], {[Zn(C23H22O8)(C19H14N4)(H2O)2]·0.5H2O}n, 1 , was prepared by the self‐assembly of Zn(NO3)2·6H2O with 5,5′‐methylenebis(2,4,6‐trimethylisophthalic acid) (H4BTMIPA) and 2,7‐bis(1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)fluorene (BIF) under solvothermal conditions. The structure of 1 was determined by elemental analysis, single‐crystal X‐ray crystallography, powder X‐ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis. Each ZnII ion is six‐coordinated by two O atoms from two H2BTMIPA2? ligands, by two N atoms from two BIF ligands and by two water molecules, forming a distorted octahedral ZnN2O4 coordination geometry. Adjacent ZnII ions are linked by H2BTMIPA2? ligands and BIF ligands, leading to the formation of a two‐dimensional (2D) (4,4)‐ sql network, and intermolecular hydrogen‐bonding interactions connect the 2D layer structure into the three‐dimensional (3D) supramolecular structure. Each 2D layer contains two kinds of helices with the same direction, which are opposite in adjacent layers. The luminescence properties of complex 1 in the solid state have also been investigated.  相似文献

The 1H and 13C NMR resonances for 16 acridin‐9(10H)‐ones substituted with amino or (1,3‐benzothiazol‐2‐yl)amino groups were completely and unequivocally assigned by the concerted application of gs‐COSY, gs‐HMQC and gs‐HMBC experiments. Three 1‐methyl‐4,4′‐bipyridinium (MQ+)‐based complexes, {[Cd(MQ)(p‐BDC)Br]?H2O}n ( 1 ), {[Cd(MQ)(m‐BDC)(H2O)Br]?3H2O}n ( 2 ) and Cu(MQ)Br2 ( 3 ) (p‐H2BDC = 1,4‐benzenedicarboxylic acid, m‐H2BDC = 1,3‐benzenedicarboxylic acid), have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Compounds 1 and 2 are one‐dimensional coordination polymers constituted of one coordinated MQ+ cation, one coordinated Br? ion and chains of Cd2+ ions connected by deprotonated BDC2? units, which both have photochromism but different decolorization behaviors. The structures and photoresponsive behaviors controlled by auxiliary ligands have been explored. Compound 3 is constituted of one Cu+ center, one MQ+ ligand and two coordinated Br? ions in a ‘V’ configuration, exhibiting no photochromism.  相似文献

In a stirred batch experiment and under aerobic conditions, ferroin (Fe(phen)32+) behaves differently from Ce(III) or Mn(II) ion as a catalyst for the Belousov‐Zhabotinsky (BZ) reaction with allylmalonic acid (AMA). The effects of bromate ion, AMA, metal‐ion catalyst, and sulfuric acid on the oscillating pattern were investigated. The kinetics of the reaction of AMA with Ce(IV), Mn(III), or Fe(phen)33+ ion was studied under aerobic or anaerobic conditions. The order of reactivity of metal ions toward reaction with AMA is Fe(phen)33+ > Mn(III) > Ce(IV) under aerobic conditions whereas it is Mn(III) > Ce(IV) > Fe(phen)33+ under anaerobic conditions. Under aerobic or anaerobic conditions, the order of reactivity of RCH(CO2H)2 (R = H (MA), Me (MeMA), Et (EtMA), allyl (AMA), n‐Bu (BuMA), Ph (PhMA), and Br (BrMA)) is PhMA > MA > BrMA > AMA > MeMA > EtMA > BuMA toward reaction with Ce(IV) ion and it is MA > PhMA > BrMA > MeMA > AMA > EtMA > BuMA toward reaction with Mn(III) ion. Under aerobic conditions, the order of reactivity of RCH(CO2H)2 toward reaction with Fe(phen)33+ ion is PhMA > BrMA > (MeMA, AMA) > (BuMA, EtMA) > MA. The first preparation of acridin‐9(10H)‐ones carrying a tertiary thiocarbamoyl group at C(10), i.e., N,N‐dialkyl‐9‐oxoacridine‐10(9H)‐carbothioamides 9 , is described. The method is based on the reaction of (2‐halophenyl)(2‐isothiocyanatophenyl)methanones 7 , prepared from (2‐aminophenyl)(2‐halophenyl)methanones 5 by a convenient three‐step sequence, with secondary amines in DMF at room temperature to generate the corresponding thiourea derivatives 8 in situ, which are treated with NaH at 100–120° to provide the desired products in one‐pot reactions in generally good yields.  相似文献
