The ionic liquid 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate [BMIm][BF4] has demonstrated high efficiency when applied as a solvent in the oxidative nitro‐Mannich carbon? carbon bond formation. The copper‐catalyzed cross‐dehydrogenative coupling (CDC) between N‐phenyltetrahydroisoquinoline and nitromethane in [BMIm][BF4] occurred with high yield under the described reaction conditions. Both the ionic liquid and copper catalyst were recycled nine times with almost no lost of activity. The electrochemical behavior of the tertiary amine substrate and β‐nitroamine product was investigated employing [BMIm][BF4] as electrolyte solvent. The potentiostatic electrolysis in ionic liquid afforded the desired product with a high yield. This result and the cyclic voltammetric investigation provide a better understanding of the reaction mechanism, which involves radical and iminium cation intermediates.  相似文献

A novel 8‐hydroxyquinoline functionalized PEG‐1000 bridged dicationic ionic liquid ([HQ‐PEG1000‐DIL][BF4]) was synthesized and characterized. It was applied as an efficiently recyclable ligand for copper‐catalyzed N‐arylation of nitrogen‐containing heterocycles with aryl halides. The catalytic system could be easily recovered and reused for at least five runs without obvious loss of catalytic activity.  相似文献

Treatment of N‐aryl‐2‐(benzylthio)benzamides with phenyliodine(III) bis(trifluoroacetate) containing trifluoroacetic acid resulted in an interrupted Pummerer‐type reaction in ionic liquid 1‐n‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate, [bmim][PF6] to give 2‐aryl‐1,2‐benzisothiazol‐3(2H)‐ones rather than the normal Pummerer‐type products.  相似文献

In continuation of research to explore the applied potential of DMF‐like ionic liquid, the ionic liquid version of N,N‐dimethyliminiumchloride (Vilsmier reagent) has been synthesized from DMF‐like ionic liquid and tested effectively for its capacity to achieve more useful organic transformations. The results show that DMF‐like ionic liquid is world's first task specific ionic liquid which has catalyzed numerous diverse type of reaction and is multipurpose in its application. Thus a new term for this DMF‐like ionic liquid has been coined that is DMF‐like "multipurpose" ionic liquid.  相似文献

Synthesis and physicochemical properties of four pyridinium‐based ionic liquids (ILs), N‐propylpyridinium bromide [N‐propylPyr]+[Br], N‐isopropylpyridinium bromide [N‐isopropylPyr]+[Br], N‐propylpyridinium hexafluorophosphate [N‐propylPyr]+[PF6], and N‐isopropylpyridinium hexafluorophosphate [N‐isopropylPyr]+[PF6] are reported. The molecular structures of these compounds were characterized by FT‐IR, 1H, 19F, and 31P NMR, spectroscopy. The thermal properties, conductivity, and solubility of these ionic liquids were also investigated. The effects of propyl and isopropyl alkyl lateral chain at the N‐position of pyridinium cation on the thermal stability, conductivity, and solubility of ionic liquids are discussed. The results obtained confirmed that the ionic liquids based on pyridinium cations exhibit higher decomposition temperature, low melting points, immiscible with water, and their conductivities are mainly influenced by mobility of ions.  相似文献

Summary: Bacterial cellulose (BC), a unique type of cellulose, with high degree of polymerization of 6 500 could be dissolved easily in the ionic liquid 1‐N‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium chloride. For the first time, well‐soluble BC acetates and carbanilates of high degree of substitution (up to a complete modification of all hydroxyl groups) were accessible under homogeneous and mild reaction conditions. Characterization of the new BC derivatives by NMR and FTIR spectroscopy shows an unexpected distribution of the acetyl moieties in the order O‐6 > O‐3 > O‐2.

Unconventional ionic liquid crystals in which the liquid crystallinity is enabled by halogen‐bonded supramolecular anions [CnF2 n+1‐I⋅⋅⋅I⋅⋅⋅I‐CnF2 n+1] are reported. The material system is unique in many ways, demonstrating for the first time 1) ionic, halogen‐bonded liquid crystals, and 2) imidazolium‐based ionic liquid crystals in which the occurrence of liquid crystallinity is not driven by the alkyl chains of the cation.  相似文献

In this paper two kinds of ionic liquids (ILs) were used for the construction of a myoglobin (Mb) electrochemical biosensor. Firstly a hydrophilic ionic liquid of 1‐ethyl‐3‐methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (EMIMBF4) was used as binder to prepare a carbon ionic liquid electrode (CILE), then a Nafion and hydrophobic ionic liquid of 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (BMIMPF6) composite film was applied on the surface of the CILE. The direct electrochemistry of Mb in the Nafion‐BMIMPF6/CILE was achieved with the cathodic and anodic peak potentials located at ?0.345 V and ?0.213 V (vs. SCE). The formal potential (E°′) was located at ?0.279 V, which was the characteristic of Mb FeIII/FeII redox couples. The electrochemical behaviors of Mb in the Nafion‐ionic liquid composite film modified CILE were carefully investigated. The Mb modified electrode showed good electrocatalytic behaviors to the reduction of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and NaNO2. Based on the Nafion‐BMIMPF6/Mb/CILE, a new third generation reagentless biosensor was constructed.  相似文献

Summary: Radiation‐induced polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) in ethanol (EtOH) and N,N‐dimethylformamide (DMF) in the presence of ionic liquid [Me3NC2H4OH]+[ZnCl3] is reported. A substantial increase in monomer conversion and molecular weight is observed at room‐temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) >60 vol.‐%, and the resulting PMMA has a broad multimodal MWD. A clear difference in the MWD pattern is noted between EtOH/RTIL and DMF/RTIL systems, probably due to the complicated interactions between the solvent and ionic liquid.

A medium consisting of K2CO3 and H2O in [omim][BF4] ionic liquid (IL) was used to synthesize N‐substituted 2H‐benzo[b][1,4]oxazin‐3(4H)‐one derivatives from their corresponding o‐aminophenols and 2‐bromoalkanoates. As a result, chemoselective formation of benzoxazinones in high yields has been observed at room temperature. After the reactions and separation of the products, the IL was recovered and successfully reused in subsequent reactions without significant loss of activity.  相似文献

The atom transfer radical copolymerization of N‐substituted maleimides such as N‐phenylmaleimide (PhMI), N‐cyclohexylmaleimide (ChMI), and N‐butylmaleimide (NBMI) with styrene initiated with dendritic polyarylether 2‐bromoisobutyrates in an ionic liquid, 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim][PF6]), at room temperature and anisole at 110 °C was investigated. The dendritic‐linear block copolymers obtained in ionic liquid possessed well‐defined molecular weight and low polydispersity (1.05 < Mw/Mn < 1.32) and could be used as a macroinitiator for chain‐extension polymerization, suggesting the living nature of the reaction system. The ionic liquids containing catalyst could be recycled in the atom transfer radical polymerization systems without further treatment. Compared with polymerization conducted in anisole, the polymerization in ionic liquid had a stronger tendency for alternation. The tendency for alternation decreased in the order PhMI > NBMI > ChMI in [bmim][PF6] and PhMI > ChMI > NBMI in anisole. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 2,2,6,6‐Tetramethylpiperidine‐1‐yloxyl derivatives substituted with either hydrogen bonding [‐OH, ‐OSO3H] or ionic [‐OSO3?Na+, ‐OSO3?K+, N+(CH3)3I?, N+(CH3)3 N?(SO2‐CF3)2] substituents are investigated in 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate over a wide temperature range covering both glassy and viscous states. The Vogel–Fulcher–Tammann equation describes the temperature dependence of the ionic liquid viscosity. Quantum chemical calculations of the spin probes at the UB3LYP/6‐311(2d,p++) level are done to describe the dependence of the spin density on nitrogen on the substitution pattern of the 4‐position of the probe. The results of these calculations are also used to understand the experimental results obtained by applying the Spernol–Gierer–Wirtz theory to analyze the viscosity dependence of the rotational correlation time of the spin probes. Significant differences are found between 2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidine‐1‐yloxyl and its derivatives containing substituents that are able to form hydrogen bonds with the ionic liquid. Moreover, derivatives substituted with ionic groups at the 4‐position have a large effect on temperature‐induced solvent viscosity, as this is particularly dependent on the nature of the substituent at the 4‐position. These dependencies include the temperature region that can be used to describe interactions between the spin probes and the ionic liquid, diffusion into the free volume during non‐activated (neutral spin probes) and activated (charged spin probes) processes. Additional parameters are the radii of the ionic liquid and the spin probes, which are calculated and measured approximately. In addition, the temperature dependence of the isotropic hyperfine coupling constants of the spin probes results in information about the micropolarity of the ionic liquid. At room temperature, this is comparable to that of the solvent dimethylsulfoxide.  相似文献

Room temperature ionic liquid (bmim)PF6 was evaluated for recycling an organocatalyst (4S)-phenoxy-(S)-proline for direct asymmetric aldol reactions. The desired aldol products were obtained with good yields up to 93.2% and enantioselectivities up to 88.5%, and isolation of the products by simple extraction allowed recycling the ionic liquid containing the immobilized catalyst in subsequent reactions without significant decrease of yields and enantioselectivities.  相似文献

A regioselective 1,3‐dipolar cycloadditions of ionic liquid‐supported vinyl ethers, derived from ionic liquid‐supported α‐phenylselenomethyl ether, with ethyl cyanoformate N‐oxide gave supported isoxazoline derivatives, which were then cleaved from the ionic liquid support under mild acidic conditions to afford ethyl isoxazole‐3‐carboxylates. This new synthetic method is simple and efficient and the products are obtained in good yields.  相似文献

The stable 2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidine‐1‐yloxyl and its derivatives with hydrogen‐bond‐forming (‐OH, ‐OSO3H), anionic (‐OSO3? bearing K+ or [K(18‐crown‐6)]+ as counter ion), or cationic (‐N+(CH3)3 bearing I?, BF4?, PF6? or N?(SO2CF3)2 as counter ion) substituents are investigated in 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide over a wide temperature range. The temperature dependence of the viscosity of the ionic liquid is well described by the Vogel–Fulcher–Tammann equation. Interestingly, the temperature dependence of the rotational correlation time of the spin probes substituted with either a hydrogen‐bond‐forming group or an ionic substituent can be described using the Stokes–Einstein equation. In contrast, the temperature dependence of the rotational correlation time of the spin probe without an additional substituent at the 4‐position to the nitroxyl group does not follow this trend. The activation energy for the mobility of the unsubstituted spin probe, determined from an Arrhenius plot of the spin‐probe mobility in the ionic liquid above the melting temperature, is comparable with the activation energy for the viscous flow of the ionic liquid, but is higher for spin probes bearing an additional substituent at the 4‐position. Quantum chemical calculations of the spin probes using the 6‐31G+d method give information about the rotational volume of the spin probes and the spin density at the nitrogen atom of the radical structure as a function of the substituent at the spin probes in the presence and absence of a counter ion. The results of these calculations help in understanding the effect of the additional substituent on the experimentally determined isotropic hyperfine coupling constant.  相似文献

Aqueous–ionic liquid (A–IL) biphasic systems have been examined in terms of deuterated water, acid, and IL cation and anion mutual solubilities in the upper (water‐rich, in mole fraction) and lower phase of aqueous/IL biphasic systems at ambient temperature. The biphasic mixtures were composed of deuterated acids of various concentrations (mainly DCl, DNO3, and DClO4 from 10?2 to 10?4 M ) and five ionic liquids of the imidazolium family with a hydrophobic anion (CF3SO2)2N?, that is, [C1Cnim][Tf2N], (n=2, 4, 6, 8 and 10). The analytical techniques applied were 1H NMR, 19F NMR, Karl–Fischer titration, pH potentiometry for IL cations and anions, and water and acid determination. The effects of the ionic strength (μ=0.1 M NaCl and NaNO3 as well as μ=0.1 M , 0.2 M and 0.4 M NaClO4, according to the investigated acid), the nature of the IL cation, and the nature of the mineral acid on the solubilities of the (D2O, D+, Tf2N?, C1Cnim+) entities in the lower or upper phases were determined. The addition of sodium perchlorate was found to enhance the Tf2N? solubility while inhibiting the solubility of the ionic liquid cation. Differences in IL cation and anion solubilities of up to 42 mM were evidenced. The consequences for the characterization of the aqueous biphasic system, the solvent extraction process of the metal ions, and the ecological impact of the ILs are discussed.  相似文献
