Single‐crystalline TiOF2 nanotubes were prepared by a one‐step solvothermal method. The nanotubes are rectangular in shape with a length of 2–3 μm, width of 200–300 nm, and wall thickness of 40–60 nm. The formation of TiOF2 nanotubes is directly driven by the interaction between TiF4 and oleic acid in octadecane to form the 1D nanorods, and this is followed by a mass diffusion process to form the hollow structures. The synthesis approach can be extended to grow TiOF2 nanoparticles and nanorods. Compared with TiO2, which is the more commonly considered anode material in lithium‐ion batteries, TiOF2 has the advantages of a lower Li‐intercalation voltage (e.g., to help increase the total voltage of the battery cell) and higher specific capacities. The TiOF2 nanotubes showed good Li‐storage properties with high specific capacities, stable cyclabilities, and good rate capabilities.  相似文献

Single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) covalently functionalized with redox‐active organo‐modified polyoxometalate (POM) clusters have been synthesized and employed as electrode materials in lithium ion batteries. The Anderson cluster [MnMo6O24]9? is functionalized with Tris (NH2C(CH2OH)3) moieties, giving the new organic–inorganic hybrid [N(nC4H9)4]3[MnMo6O18{(OCH2)3CNH2}2]. The compound is then covalently attached to carboxylic acid‐functionalized SWNTs by amide bond formation and the stability of this nanocomposite is confirmed by various spectroscopic methods. Electrochemical analyses show that the nanocomposite displays improved performance as an anode material in lithium ion batteries compared with the individual components, that is, SWNTs and/or Anderson clusters. High discharge capacities of up to 932 mAh g?1 at a current density of 0.5 mA cm?2 can be observed, together with high long‐term cycling stability and decreased electrochemical impedance. Chemisorption of the POM cluster on the SWNTs is shown to give better electrode performance than the purely physisorbed analogues.  相似文献

A solvent‐exchange approach for the preparation of solvated graphene frameworks as high‐performance anode materials for lithium‐ion batteries is reported. The mechanically strong graphene frameworks exhibit unique hierarchical solvated porous networks and can be directly used as electrodes with a significantly improved electrochemical performance compared to unsolvated graphene frameworks, including very high reversible capacities, excellent rate capabilities, and superior cycling stabilities.  相似文献

The preparation of novel one‐dimensional core–shell Fe/Fe2O3 nanowires as anodes for high‐performance lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) is reported. The nanowires are prepared in a facile synthetic process in aqueous solution under ambient conditions with subsequent annealing treatment that could tune the capacity for lithium storage. When this hybrid is used as an anode material for LIBs, the outer Fe2O3 shell can act as an electrochemically active material to store and release lithium ions, whereas the highly conductive and inactive Fe core functions as nothing more than an efficient electrical conducting pathway and a remarkable buffer to tolerate volume changes of the electrode materials during the insertion and extraction of lithium ions. The core–shell Fe/Fe2O3 nanowire maintains an excellent reversible capacity of over 767 mA h g?1 at 500 mA g?1 after 200 cycles with a high average Coulombic efficiency of 98.6 %. Even at 2000 mA g?1, a stable capacity as high as 538 mA h g?1 could be obtained. The unique composition and nanostructure of this electrode material contribute to this enhanced electrochemical performance. Due to the ease of large‐scale fabrication and superior electrochemical performance, these hybrid nanowires are promising anode materials for the next generation of high‐performance LIBs.  相似文献

Porous V2O5 nanotubes, hierarchical V2O5 nanofibers, and single‐crystalline V2O5 nanobelts were controllably synthesized by using a simple electrospinning technique and subsequent annealing. The mechanism for the formation of these controllable structures was investigated. When tested as the cathode materials in lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs), the as‐formed V2O5 nanostructures exhibited a highly reversible capacity, excellent cycling performance, and good rate capacity. In particular, the porous V2O5 nanotubes provided short distances for Li+‐ion diffusion and large electrode–electrolyte contact areas for high Li+‐ion flux across the interface; Moreover, these nanotubes delivered a high power density of 40.2 kW kg?1 whilst the energy density remained as high as 201 W h kg?1, which, as one of the highest values measured on V2O5‐based cathode materials, could bridge the performance gap between batteries and supercapacitors. Moreover, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first preparation of single‐crystalline V2O5 nanobelts by using electrospinning techniques. Interestingly, the beneficial crystal orientation provided improved cycling stability for lithium intercalation. These results demonstrate that further improvement or optimization of electrochemical performance in transition‐metal‐oxide‐based electrode materials could be realized by the design of 1D nanostructures with unique morphologies.  相似文献

Amorphous Si (a‐Si) shows potential advantages over crystalline Si (c‐Si) in lithium‐ion batteries, owing to its high lithiation potential and good tolerance to intrinsic strain/stress. Herein, porous a‐Si has been synthesized by a simple process, without the uses of dangerous or expensive reagents, sophisticated equipment, and strong acids that potential cause environment risks. These porous a‐Si particles exhibit excellent electrochemical performances, owing to their porous structure, amorphous nature, and surface modification. They deliver a capacity of 1025 mAh g?1 at 3 A g?1 after 700 cycles. Moreover, the reversible capacity after electrochemical activation, is quite stable throughout the cycling, resulting in a capacity retention about around 88 %. The direct comparison between a‐Si and c‐Si anodes clearly supports the advantages of a‐Si in lithium‐ion batteries.  相似文献

We report the first organically synthesized sp–sp3 hybridized porous carbon, OSPC‐1. This new carbon shows electron conductivity, high porosity, the highest uptake of lithium ions of any carbon material to‐date, and the ability to inhibit dangerous lithium dendrite formation. The new carbon exhibits exceptional potential as anode material for lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) with high capacity, excellent rate capability, long cycle life, and potential for improved safety performance.  相似文献

The long‐standing challenge associated with capacity fading of spinel LiMn2O4 cathode material for lithium‐ion batteries is investigated. Single‐crystalline spinel LiMn2O4 nanorods were successfully synthesized by a template‐engaged method. Porous Mn3O4 nanorods were used as self‐sacrificial templates, into which LiOH was infiltrated by a vacuum‐assisted impregnation route. When used as cathode materials for lithium‐ion batteries, the spinel LiMn2O4 nanorods exhibited superior long cycle life owing to the one‐dimensional nanorod structure, single‐crystallinity, and Li‐rich effect. LiMn2O4 nanorods retained 95.6 % of the initial capacity after 1000 cycles at 3C rate. In particular, the nanorod morphology of the spinel LiMn2O4 was well‐preserved after a long‐term cycling, suggesting the ultrahigh structural stability of the single crystalline spinel LiMn2O4 nanorods. This result shows the promising applications of single‐crystalline spinel LiMn2O4 nanorods as cathode materials for lithium‐ion batteries with high rate capability and long cycle life.  相似文献

Compositing amorphous TiO2 with nitrogen‐doped carbon through Ti? N bonding to form an amorphous TiO2/N‐doped carbon hybrid (denoted a‐TiO2/C? N) has been achieved by a two‐step hydrothermal–calcining method with hydrazine hydrate as an inhibitor and nitrogen source. The resultant a‐TiO2/C? N hybrid has a surface area as high as 108 m2 g?1 and, when used as an anode material, exhibits a capacity as high as 290.0 mA h g?1 at a current rate of 1 C and a reversible capacity over 156 mA h g?1 at a current rate of 10 C after 100 cycles; these results are better than those found in most reports on crystalline TiO2. This superior electrochemical performance could be ascribed to a combined effect of several factors, including the amorphous nature, porous structure, high surface area, and N‐doped carbon.  相似文献

Carbon nanomaterials, especially graphene and carbon nanotubes, are considered to be favorable alternatives to graphite‐based anodes in lithium‐ion batteries, owing to their high specific surface area, electrical conductivity, and excellent mechanical flexibility. However, the limited number of storage sites for lithium ions within the sp2‐carbon hexahedrons leads to the low storage capacity. Thus, rational structure design is essential for the preparation of high‐performance carbon‐based anode materials. Herein, we employed flexible single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) with ultrahigh electrical conductivity as a wrapper for 3D graphene foam (GF) by using a facile dip‐coating process to form a binary network structure. This structure, which offered high electrical conductivity, enlarged the electrode/electrolyte contact area, shortened the electron‐/ion‐transport pathways, and allowed for efficient utilization of the active material, which led to improved electrochemical performance. When used as an anode in lithium‐ion batteries, the SWCNT‐GF electrode delivered a specific capacity of 953 mA h g?1 at a current density of 0.1 A g?1 and a high reversible capacity of 606 mA h g?1 after 1000 cycles, with a capacity retention of 90 % over 1000 cycles at 1 A g?1 and 189 mA h g?1 after 2200 cycles at 5 A g?1.  相似文献

The fundamental understanding of the relationship between the nanostructure of an electrode and its electrochemical performance is crucial for achieving high‐performance lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs). In this work, the relationship between the nanotubular aspect ratio and electrochemical performance of LIBs is elucidated for the first time. The stirring hydrothermal method was used to control the aspect ratio of viscous titanate nanotubes, which were used to fabricate additive‐free TiO2‐based electrode materials. We found that the battery performance at high charging/discharging rates is dramatically boosted when the aspect ratio is increased, due to the optimization of electronic/ionic transport properties within the electrode materials. The proof‐of‐concept LIBs comprising nanotubes with an aspect ratio of 265 can retain more than 86 % of their initial capacity over 6000 cycles at a high rate of 30 C. Such devices with supercapacitor‐like rate performance and battery‐like capacity herald a new paradigm for energy storage systems.  相似文献

Despite the great advantages of hollow structures as electrodes for lithium‐ion batteries, one apparent common drawback which is often criticized is their compromised volumetric energy density due to the introduced hollow interior. Here, we design and synthesize bowl‐like SnO2@carbon hollow particles to reduce the excessive hollow interior space while retaining the general advantages of hollow structures. As a result, the tap density can be increased about 30 %. The as‐prepared bowl‐like SnO2@carbon hollow particles with conformal carbon support exhibit excellent lithium storage properties in terms of high capacity, stable cyclability and excellent rate capability.  相似文献

CoFe2O4/multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) hybrid materials were synthesized by a hydrothermal method. Field emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy analysis confirmed the morphology of the as‐prepared hybrid material resembling wintersweet flower “buds on branches”, in which CoFe2O4 nanoclusters, consisting of nanocrystals with a size of 5–10 nm, are anchored along carbon nanotubes. When applied as an anode material in lithium ion batteries, the CoFe2O4/MWCNTs hybrid material exhibited a high performance for reversible lithium storage. In particular, the hybrid anode material delivered reversible lithium storage capacities of 809, 765, 539, and 359 mA h g?1 at current densities of 180, 450, 900, and 1800 mA g?1, respectively. The superior performance of CoFe2O4/MWCNTs hybrid materials could be ascribed to the synergistic pinning effect of the wintersweet‐flower‐like nanoarchitecture. This strategy could also be applied to synthesize other metal oxide/CNTs hybrid materials as high‐capacity anode materials for lithium ion batteries.  相似文献

Polydopamine (PDA), which is biodegradable and is derived from naturally occurring products, can be employed as an electrode material, wherein controllable partial oxidization plays a key role in balancing the proportion of redox‐active carbonyl groups and the structural stability and conductivity. Unexpectedly, the optimized PDA derivative endows lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) or sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) with superior electrochemical performances, including high capacities (1818 mAh g?1 for LIBs and 500 mAh g?1 for SIBs) and good stable cyclabilities (93 % capacity retention after 580 cycles for LIBs; 100 % capacity retention after 1024 cycles for SIBs), which are much better than those of their counterparts with conventional binders.  相似文献

Na‐ion batteries are an attractive alternative to Li‐ion batteries for large‐scale energy storage systems because of their low cost and the abundant Na resources. This Review provides a comprehensive overview of selected anode materials with high reversible capacities that can increase the energy density of Na‐ion batteries. Moreover, we discuss the reaction and failure mechanisms of those anode materials with a view to suggesting promising strategies for improving their electrochemical performance.  相似文献
