For nonlinear hyperbloic problems,Conservation of the numerical scheme is important for convergence to the correct weak solutions.In this paper the the conservation of the well-known compact scheme up to fourth order of accuracy on a single and uniform grid is studied,and a conservative interface treatment is derived for compact schemes on patched grids .For a pure initial value problem,the compact scheme is shown to be equivalent to a scheme in the usual conservative form .For the case of a mixed initial boundary value problem,the compact scheme is conservative only if the rounding errors are small enough.For a pactched grid interface,a conservative interface condition useful for mesh fefiement and for parallel computation is derived and its order of local accuracy is analyzed.  相似文献

In this paper, we analyze a compact finite difference scheme for computing a coupled nonlinear SchrSdinger equation. The proposed scheme not only conserves the totM mass and energy in the discrete level but also is decoupled and linearized in practical computa- tion. Due to the difficulty caused by compact difference on the nonlinear term, it is very hard to obtain the optimal error estimate without any restriction on the grid ratio. In order to overcome the difficulty, we transform the compact difference scheme into a special and equivalent vector form, then use the energy method and some important lemmas to obtain the optimal convergent rate, without any restriction on the grid ratio, at the order of O(h4 +r2) in the discrete L∞ -norm with time step - and mesh size h. Finally, numerical results are reported to test our theoretical results of the proposed scheme.  相似文献

This paper presents a class of high resolution local time step schemes for nonlinear hyperbolic conservation laws and the closely related convection-diffusion equations, by projecting the solution increments of the underlying partial differential equations (PDE) at each local time step. The main advantages are that they are of good consistency, and it is convenient to implement them. The schemes are L^∞ stable, satisfy a cell entropy inequality, and may be extended to the initial boundary value problem of general unsteady PDEs with higher-order spatial derivatives. The high resolution schemes are given by combining the reconstruction technique with a second order TVD Runge-Kutta scheme or a Lax-Wendroff type method, respectively. The schemes are used to solve a linear convection-diffusion equation, the nonlinear inviscid Burgers' equation, the one- and two-dimensional compressible Euler equations, and the two-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. The numerical results show that the schemes are of higher-order accuracy, and efficient in saving computational cost, especially, for the case of combining the present schemes with the adaptive mesh method [15]. The correct locations of the slow moving or stronger discontinuities are also obtained, although the schemes are slightly nonconservative.  相似文献

Various compact difference schemes (both old and new, explicit and implicit, one-level and two-level), which approximate the diffusion equation and SchrSdinger equation with periodical boundary conditions are constructed by means of the general approach. The results of numerical experiments for various initial data and right hand side are presented. We evaluate the real order of their convergence, as well as their stability, effectiveness, and various kinds of monotony. The optimal Courant number depends on the number of grid knots and on the smoothness of solutions. The competition of various schemes should be organized for the fixed number of arithmetic operations, which are necessary for numerical integration of a given Cauchy problem. This approach to the construction of compact schemes can be developed for numerical solution of various problems of mathematical physics.  相似文献

s级p阶辛Runge-Kutta-Nystr\"om(R-K-N)方法的一种充要条件是用关于参数的非线性方程组来表示的,辛R-K-N格式的构造问题因而转化为该方程组的求解问题. 在一些特殊的限定条件下, 已有该方程组在s=3,p=4时的两组解,即得到了两个三级四阶显式辛格式. 对于s=3,p=4情形,基于吴方法,利用计算机代数系统Maple及软件包wsolve给出了对应的非线性方程组的全部解, 这样就构造了所有的三级四阶显式辛R-K-N格式, 并证明了三级四阶显式辛R-K-N方法所满足的条件方程有冗余. 数值实验结果显示出新的辛格式在一定的条件下有着较好的误差精度.  相似文献
