An intracavity laser spectrometer has been used to study the laser-spark absorption spectrum of C2 radicals near 1.06 μm. The spectra recorded have been assigned, and the rotational lines of the transitions 3-0, 4-1, and 5-2 b 3Σ g ? -a 3Π u and 2-1 and 1-0 A 1Π u -X 1Σ g + have been identified. The vibrational and rotational temperatures have been determined.  相似文献

An approximate N2O spectroscopic database suitable for high temperature and medium resolution applications has been created in the 4.5 μm region. Intensities of 14N2 16O hot bands have been extrapolated pragmatically from the v3 band intensity and energies of vibrational levels have been computed by diagonalization of the effective Hamiltonian. The new parameters have been merged with the data available in the HITRAN database and in the recent experimental work of Toth. The entire list has then been used to generate individual line parameters. Pure N2O spectra have been recorded with a Fourier Transform spectrometer up to 900 K and with 1 cm−1 resolution. A good agreement between these spectra and line-by-line calculations using the new database is obtained while the use of HITRAN greatly underestimates absorption at high temperature.  相似文献

The picosecond degenerate four-wave mixing reflectivity of semi-insulating gallium arsenide at 1.06 m is calculated in this paper. The dependence of the reflectivity on the pump and signal fluences is measured. Reflectivities of more than one are possible. The Fourier components of the excited-carrier densities are calculated as a function of the pump fluence. The wavefront-correction property of this reflectivity is demonstrated with a lens group in the signal beam.  相似文献

The thermal lensing, output characteristics of an end-pumped NYAB laser with high pump power levels and operated at the fundamental wavelength, and the manner of self-frequency-doubling, have been investigated. The thermal lensing in the NYAB crystal was found to be significantly stronger than that in Nd:YVO4 crystal. A maximum output of 3.2 W at 1.06 μm was achieved with an optical conversion efficiency of 29.1% and an average slope efficiency of 37.5%. These results were found to be slightly inferior to those of Nd:YVO4 crystal. When operated in the fashion of selffrequency-doubling, 23 mW green output was obtained at the incident pump power of 5 W, such inefficient operation was attributed to the large mode size in the NYAB crystal.  相似文献

This paper presents a study of the spectroscopy of 11BCl3 using the Doppler-free saturated absorption technique. Many lines in the degenerate ν3 fundamental of this molecule have been recorded using the 10P branch of a carbon dioxide laser. The absolute frequencies of the linecentres of these absorptions have been measured to an accuracy of better than 10 kHz, using frequencies calibrated against transitions in SF6 and OsO4. Hyperfine structure due to the Cl nuclei was easily resolved, and more detailed structure, which may be attributed to the 11B quadrupole interaction, was also seen. The splittings between individual quadrupole components were measured to an accuracy of better than 2 kHz where SF6 references were used, and to about 8 kHz in the case of OsO4. Peak-to-peak linewidths as low as 22 kHz have been recorded, representing the highest resolution data yet obtained for this molecule.  相似文献

Laser beams from a 15 ns pulsed Nd: YAG laser are defocused after passing silicon crystals with 400 m thickness. The beam profile changes into a ring structure at incident laser energies up to 30 mJ and energy densities of 440 mJ/cm2. The experimental deflection angles agree with calculations assuming refractive index changes due to electronhole pairs produced by interband absorption.  相似文献

The refractivity of the CO2 gas is measured with an experimental error of 2% in the 10-m region, using 10.4-m band CO2 laser line. The frequency of the CO2 laser is swept through the Doppler profile of the laser line. The experiment is achieved using a 0.63-m He–Ne/10.6-m CO2-laser interferometer with a 2-m long vacuum cell. From the result, it is found that the Koch's formula also holds for the wavelengths in the 10-m region within an accuracy of 2%.  相似文献

In spite of its low isotopic abundance in methane (about 5×10−4), CH3D contributes greatly to the very weak absorption in the 1.58 μm methane transparency window. This methane window deserves to be characterized in details because it is important for planetary applications in particular for Titan and the giant planets. In this work, we recorded the CH3D spectrum by high sensitivity differential absorption spectroscopy (αmin≈5×10−8 cm−1) both at room temperature and at 81 K. A list of more than 9000 lines was constructed from the 81 K spectrum for the 6099–6530 cm−1 region. In order to get the temperature dependence of the line intensities, the low energy values have to be determined. The rovibrational assignments available in the literature provide low energy values for about 380 strong transitions of the region. This is insufficient to characterize the temperature dependence of the CH3D absorption between 6200 and 6400 cm−1. In this interval, a list of 5500 lines was constructed from the room temperature spectrum. The empirical energy values of the transitions were derived from the ratio of the intensities at 81 K and 294 K. The exact and empirical lower state energies included in the final line lists provided as Supplementary Material, allow for accounting for the temperature dependence of the CH3D spectrum in the entire 6099–6530 cm−1 region.Our measurements have been compared to the spectroscopic parameters and assignments available in the literature in particular those adopted in the HITRAN database. Improvements and corrections are proposed for the wavenumber calibration and for some lower state energies.  相似文献

The shift coefficients for the lines of the ν1 + ν2 + ν3 and ν2 + 2ν3 bands of H2O in the region from 9403 to 9413 cm?1 are measured and calculated. The measurements are performed using an intracavity laser spectrometer based on a neodymium laser with a determination error of the line center of 0.003–0.004 cm?1. The Ar, Kr, and Xe noble gases, as well as nitrogen, oxygen, and hydrogen were used as buffer gases. The coefficients of shifts in eight H2O absorption lines induced by oxygen, nitrogen, and atmospheric air pressures fall into the region from ?0.004 to ?0.069 cm?1/bar. The calculations are performed by a semiempirical method using variational wave functions, which, in contrast to other studies, correctly takes into account intramolecular interactions. The calculated values agree satisfactorily with experimental data.  相似文献

The phase-conjugate reflectivity obtainable by degenerate four-wave mixing in silicon at a 1.06 m is calculated including free-carrier absorption. A maximum reflectivity of more than 100% is possible. The dependence of the reflectivity on the signal and pump energy densities up to 70 mJ/cm2 is measured and found to agree with theory. The wave-front-correction property of DFWM is demonstrated with a lens in the signal beam.  相似文献

Output performances of Nd-vanadate lasers with simultaneous dual-wavelength emission on the 1.06-μm 4 F 3/24 I 11/2 transition and the 4 F 3/24 I 13/2 transition at 1.34 μm are discussed. The design uses a linear resonator for emission at 1.06 μm and an L-type folded resonator for the 1.34-μm wavelength, and the ratio between the power of a single wavelength and the total power is adjusted by the choice of the output mirror transmissions. A continuous-wave (CW) Nd:GdVO4 laser with total output power in the range of 3.9 to 6.8 W and the corresponding ratio of the output power at 1.06 μm to the total output power between 0.26 and 0.97 is realized. It is also shown that in comparison with the pump at 808 nm, the pump directly into the 4 F 3/2 emitting level at 879 nm improves the total output power. Furthermore, a Nd:GdVO4 laser with simultaneous emission at 1.06 and 1.34 μm and that generates also green light at 0.53 μm by intracavity frequency-doubling with LiB3O5 (LBO) nonlinear crystal is demonstrated.  相似文献

An experimental study of single shot damage to monocrystal GaAs by a free running laser pulse of 1.06 μm wavelength is described. In order to see the role of surface effects on laser induced damage, samples of different surface finish were prepared. The laser induced damage threshold (LIDT) of lapped GaAs samples is considerably lower than that of the mirror polished samples (ratio ). Damage threshold results are analysed in terms of a thermal model incorporating the temperature dependent thermal and optical parameters of GaAs. The combined effect of the enhanced surface absorption and high surface recombination velocity of photo-excited carriers significantly enhances the surface temperature rise and reduces the damage threshold value of GaAs. The evolution of damage morphology is governed by the mechanical damage caused due to the polishing process.  相似文献

High-resolution Fourier transform spectra of 6LiCl and 7LiCl have been recorded at 830°C. A total of 2522 lines have been measured at 0.006 cm−1 resolution in the 500- to 730-cm−1 region. The data for all four isotopic species have been fit with a standard deviation of 0.00027 cm−1 using 19 isotopically invariant rovibrational constants including five Δij correction terms to the usual Dunham Yij terms. Comparison is made with the constants derived from a direct fit of the observed transitions to a Dunham potential function with only 13 coefficients including for Δ correction terms. The gas phase band center for the v = 1–0 transition of 7Li35Cl is 634.0753(7) cm−1.  相似文献

A single Xe gas filled flash lamp has been used to pump a Nd-doped SGGM rod 5 mm in diameter and 80 mm in length. Laser emission has been observed at 1.06 m in the free running mode of operation in the input energy range of 1–25 J. The laser performance has been evaluated using two different diffuse/filter combinations to block the ultraviolet radiation from the Xe lamp and the results have been compared. The intrinsic slope efficiency was determined to be approximately 1.5% with an 80% output coupler and a spectralon diffuser.  相似文献

Superfluorescence has been demonstrated for the first time at 3.9m in holmium-doped fluoride glass optical fiber. Fluorescence measurements were possible at room temperature while pumping around 650 nm. Cooled to 173 K superfluorescence was obtained.  相似文献

Direct absorption spectra of the 2ν 3 band of methane (CH4) from 6038 to 6050 cm~(-1) were studied at different low temperatures using a newly developed cryogenic cell in combination with a distributed feedback (DFB) diode laser.The cryogenic cell can operate at any stabilized temperature ranging from room temperature down to 100 K with temperature fluctuation less than ±1 K within 1 hour.In the present work,the CH 4 spectra in the range of 6038-6050 cm~(-1) were recorded at 296,266,248,223,198,and 176 K.The lower state energy E and the rotational assignment of the angular momentum J were determined by a "2-low-temperature spectra method" using the spectra recorded at 198 and 176 K.The results were compared with the data from the GOSAT and the recently reported results from Campargue and co-workers using two spectra measured at room temperature and 81 K.We demonstrated that the use of a 2-low-temperature spectra method permits one to complete the E and J values missed in the previous studies.  相似文献
