Very high efficiency of Raman scattering on samarium atoms in the process of three-photon ionization has been detected. An intense maximum attributed to the one-photon transition 4f 65d6s 9 H 2 → 4f 55d6s 2 7 D 3° between two excited states is observed in the dependence of the yield of Sm+ ions on the laser-radiation frequency. The 4f 65d6s 9 H 2 state is populated owing to the spontaneous Raman scattering 4f 66s 2 7 F 3 + ω ? ν → 4f 65d6s 9 H 2.  相似文献

It is shown how several discrepancies in the optical hfs of the Eu can be understood as consequences of the exchange polarization of the inner and outers-electrons by the spin of the half filled (4f 7)-subshell, an effect which should produce additional magnetic fields at the nucleus. Thus from the two different values of the electronic splitting constanta 6s in the two Eu-II ground states the polarization field from the 6s-shell (Δ H 6s ) is determined to be ca. +260 KG, and the formal splitting constantσ (??3 mK) of the (4f 7)-subshell yields ca. ?350 KG for the fieldΔ H (1?5) from the five innern s-shells (n=1?5) in good agreement with the strength of the inner field obtained from recent Mössbauer effect studies.Δ H (1?5) is deduced to be approximately equal in all sufficiently analysed ground and excited configurations of the neutral and ionised Eu atom ((4f 7) 6s, 6p, 5d, 6s 2 and 6s 6p). Other elements with half filled subshells (Am, Mn) show similar features in their optical hfs. For Am+ ((5f 7) 7s) ca. ?2200 KG are found for the inner field (Δ H (1?6)). For several 3d-elements it was found that the agreement between the calculated polarization fields and those following from experimental results is better than assumed so far.  相似文献

The manifestation of spontaneous Raman scattering upon the three-photon ionization of a samarium atom has been investigated. The dependence of the Sm+ yield on the laser frequency, along with the peaks due to the two-photon excitation of bound states from different levels of the 4f 66s 2 7 F ground term, exhibits a strong peak due to single-photon excitation of the 4f 55d6s 2 7 D°3 state from the 4f 65d6s 9 H 2 excited state. The 4f 65d6s 9 H 2 state was populated as a result of spontaneous Raman scattering. The large amplitude of the observed peak indicates a high efficiency of this process. The estimations performed indicate that the probability of resonant ionization through an excited state populated due to spontaneous Raman scattering can be comparable with the probability of three-photon ionization through the two-photon intermediate resonance. The necessary conditions for implementing this channel of resonant three-photon ionization are formulated.  相似文献

Analysis of the optical spectrum of Tb I confirms the conclusion reached byBender, Penselin andSchlüpmann from atomic beam magnetic resonance observations, that the lowest multiplet in the 4f 85d6s 2 configuration is8 G. The lowest level, however, is not8 G 15/2, but8 G 13/2, which is the true ground level of the Tb atom, provided the determination of the relative position of 4f 96s 2 6 H 15/2 with respect to 4f 85d6s 2 8 G 15/2 byBender c. s. is correct.  相似文献

Sensitivity to anomalous ZZγγ and Zγγγ couplings in Zγγ production was probed for the ATLAS experiment at Large Hadron Collider. Zγγ process with anomalous couplings simulation in ppcollisions with √ s = 13 TeV was performed using VBFNLO MC generator. The expected limits on the Effective Field Theory parameters f T0/Λ4, f T5/Λ4, f T9/Λ4, f M2/Λ4, f M3/Λ4 were extracted for 5 fb?1 integral luminosity using the distribution on the invariant mass of Zγγ from the combination of charged leptonic decay channels of Z boson (Zγγ → μ+μ?γγ and Zγγ → e+e?γγ).  相似文献

The method of extrapolation of the parameter of a model potential for states of one electron (4f, 5s, 5p, 5d, 5f) above the core 1s 22s 22p 63s 23p 63d 104s 24p 64d 10 and one vacancy (4d 9) in the same core is applied to calculate the energy levels in the silver and rhodium isoelectronic sequences with the maximum nuclear charge Z = 86. The energy levels of Ag-and Rh-like ions were used for the calculation of the energies of resonance transitions to the ground state 1 S 0 in Pd-like ions. Good agreement between the theoretical and calculated energies of the resonance transitions in Pd-like ions indicates the reliability of the results obtained.  相似文献

Polarization spectra of optical absorption of the 4f-4f transition 6 H 15/26 F 3/2 in the rare-earth orthoaluminate DyAlO3 are theoretically and experimentally studied at the temperature T=78 K. It is shown that the nontrivial character of the anisotropy of the polarization absorption spectra at low temperatures can be explained by the J-J mixing of excited multiplets of the 4f 9 configuration of Dy3+ ions in a low-symmetry crystal field of the orthoaluminate structure. The energy and wave functions of the Stark sublevels within the excited 6 F 5/2 multiplet in the 4f 9 configuration of the Dy3+ rare-earth ion in the crystal field of C s symmetry are numerically calculated.  相似文献

This work proposes a mechanism for the physical processes underlying the wide practical application of the unique properties of a substance in a critical state—critical fluid (CF)—in contemporary technologies. According to the fluctuation theory of phase transitions (FTPT), this mechanism may be due to the fluctuation and structural characteristics of a critical fluid, which determine its equilibrium and kinetic properties. Among such characteristics are the system correlation radius Rs, the number of order parameter fluctuations N f ~ R s -3 per mole of critical fluid, and the fluctuation component of the thermodynamic potential F*f = N f k T c/(P c V c) = C 0 R s -3 . These structural characteristics are studied with the use of experimental gravity effect data, such as the altitude and temperature dependencies of the scattered light intensity I(z, t) in a heterogeneous substance (n-pentane) near the critical vaporization temperature. Using these results and the literature data on the formation of Al2O3 nanoparticles with the use of SC-H2O, the propagation velocity of substance molecules v f ≈ 106 cm/s is estimated for the origination and decay of order parameter fluctuations. It has been concluded that just such high propagation velocities of substance molecules most likely cause the unique properties of a critical fluid during their practical application in a number of engineering processes.  相似文献

The excitation of even levels of erbium atoms by slow electrons that occurs without a change in the number of electrons in the 4f shell is experimentally studied. The levels investigated belong to the 4f 126s7s, 4f 125d6s, 4f 126s6d configurations. The cross sections measured at an electron energy of 30 eV lie within the range (0.2–18) × 10?18 cm2.  相似文献

A universal theory for calculating coherent population trapping resonances in multilevel atoms is suggested. The theory allows arbitrary schemes of multilevel atoms and their excitations to be calculated taking into account the influence of relaxation effects in atoms, applied magnetic field, and the Doppler effect. The experimental data obtained by high-precision diode spectroscopy of coherent dark resonances in samarium vapor are systematically analyzed using the suggested theory. In the absence of a magnetic field, the model of samarium is based on consideration of a degenerate Λ system of the 4f66s2(7F0) ? 4f6(7F)6s6p(3P0)9F 1 0 ?4f66s2(7F1) active transitions. If the fourth 4f66s2(7F2) level is taken into account, this Λ system becomes open. Numerical simulation of coherent population trapping resonances shows that the open character of the system decreases the contrast of resonance curves in absorption spectra without changing resonance widths. The system under applied external longitudinal and transverse magnetic fields is correctly described by 7-and 12-level models of atomic transitions, respectively.  相似文献

We calculate the processes \(D_s^ + \to \pi ^ + s\bar s\) and D s + π+resonance, respectively, in the spectator and W-annihilation mechanisms. The data on the reaction D s + π+ρ0, which is due to the W-annihilation mechanism only, point to a negligibly small contribution of the W annihilation to the production of scalar-isoscalar resonances D s + +f0. As to spectator mechanism, we evaluate the \(1^3 P_0 s\bar s\) component in the resonances f0(980), f0(1300), and f0(1500) and broad state f0(1200–1600) on the basis of data on the decay ratios D s + +f0/(D s + +θ). The data point to a large \(s\bar s\) component in the \(f_0 (980):40 \lesssim s\bar s \lesssim 70\% \). Nearly 30% of the \(1^3 P_0 s\bar s\) component flows to the mass region 1300–1500 MeV, being shared by f0(1300), f0(1500), and broad state f0(1200–1600): the interference of these states results in a peak near 1400 MeV with the width around 200 MeV. Our calculations show that the yield of the radial-excitation state\(2^3 P_0 s\bar s\)is relatively suppressed, \({{\Gamma (D_s^ + \to \pi ^ + (2^3 P_0 s\bar s))} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\Gamma (D_s^ + \to \pi ^ + (2^3 P_0 s\bar s))} {\Gamma (D_s^ + \to \pi ^ + (1^3 P_0 s\bar s))}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\Gamma (D_s^ + \to \pi ^ + (1^3 P_0 s\bar s))}} \lesssim 0.05\).  相似文献

The possibility of generating and detecting high-frequency gravitational waves based on nonlinear-optical processes in dielectric media at their excitation by intense laser radiation of visible or ultraviolet ranges is analyzed. The theory predicts the feasibility of the Hertz gravitational laboratory experiment in which the parametric conversion of intense laser radiation with frequency ω0 = 2πf0 (f0 = 1014 ? 1015 Hz) to a gravitational wave with frequency ω g = 2ω0 and the reverse process of gravitational radiation reconversion to optical radiation are implemented in the condensed dielectric medium.  相似文献

In an atomic beam magnetic resonance experiment on Tb159 ΔF=0 transitions in several hfs-levels of thermally excited fine structure states have been observed. Detailed analysis of data showed twoJ=15/2 states, oneJ=13/2, oneJ=11/2, and, probably, oneJ=9/2 state to be present. For these levelsg J-values are given. It was concluded that the ground state of neutral terbium is 4f 8 5d 6s 2 8 G 15/2. The 4f 9 6s 2 6 H 15/2-level lies not more than 1000 cm?1 higher.  相似文献

The results of isotope shift measurements for the gadolinium atom both in a hollow cathode lamp and in an atomic beam are described. Using laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy, the measurements were performed for four transitions, which are related to the configurations 4f75d6s29D to 4f75d6s6p9D and 4f75d6ss6p9FD.  相似文献

The systematic studies of the arrangement features of single-particle nucleon subshells in even-even 90,92,94,96Zr isotopes and behavior of some known “magicity parameters” in isotopes and isotones neighboring the 96Zr nucleus have led to the interpretation of 96Zr as a new doubly magic nucleus. Analysis of the structure of nucleon shells in the 96Zr nucleus revealed a feature, which consisted in that near the Fermi energy it had filled proton (π1f 5/2) and neutron (v2d 5/2) subshells with an identical and large total momentum j = 5/2, which was called the j-j coupling. Above the π1f 5/2 shell, there is another filled shell (π2p 1/2) with two j = 1/2 protons. Applied to other filled shells, this empirical rule allowed revealing several new nontraditional magic nuclei: 96Sr (Z = 38, N = 58), π1f 5/2, v2d 5/2, and v3s 1/2 subshells; 54Ca (Z = 20, N = 34), π2p 3/2, v1d 3/2, and v2p 1/2 subshells; a pair of 30Si (Z = 14, N = 16) and 30S (Z = 16, N = 14) nuclei, π1d 5/2, v1d 5/2, and (π/v)2s 1/2 subshells; and a pair of 14C (Z = 6, N = 8) and 14O (Z = 8, N = 6) nuclei, 1p 3/2, v1p 3/2, and v2p 1/2 subshells. The existence of the magic nuclei 52,54Ca is widely discussed in the literature, the possibility of the existence of the other nuclei found is confirmed by the systematics of the behavior of the “magicity” parameters. The fact that shells with some nucleon numbers different from the classical magic numbers are closed may be due to the manifestation of a new type of interaction between nuclear protons and neutrons occupying certain subshells.  相似文献

Recent experiment by A1 Collaboration at Mainz, namely identification of Λ 4H hyperfragment from primary Λ 9Li hypernucleus produced in reaction (e, eK +), stirred renewed interest in baryonic decay of hypernuclei. The important role of s ?1 s Λ excitation in p-shell hypernuclei as well as the existence of selection rules connected with [f] (Young diagram) was noted earlier within Translational Invariant Shell Model (TISM). The particular conditions of the present experiment (reaction is not selective and produces highly excited states) dictate extension of the simplest TISM: expansion of the harmonic oscillator basis space and compression of multiplets (to only (λμ) for L and [f] for S, T). Such modified TISM explains abundance production of Λ 4H hyperfragment and predicts production of another Hyper Hydrogen Λ 6H.  相似文献

The molecular mobility of nanocellulose hydrogels isolated from microcrystalline cellulose is evaluated using the spin probe method, from the correlation time τ (s) and rotational frequency ν = 1/τ(s–1) of stable nitroxyl radicals introduced into the medium under study. In an aqueous gel medium, the EPR spectrum of the probe features an anisotropic triplet of frozen particles over a temperature range of 77 to 265 K. In an aqueous–ethanolic gel solution, the temperature of onset of rotation of the radical is 85 K lower. The rotational correlation time is determined from the parameters of the EPR spectrum recorded in the temperature range of 180–290 K. The resulting Arrhenius temperature dependence logν = f(1/T) is used to evaluate the activation energy of rotation E of the radical and the preexponential factor ν0(s–1), the frequency of rotational vibrations of the particle around the equilibrium position. For the aqueous medium, E = 11.2 kcal/mol; in the presence of ethanol, E = 5.2 kcal/mol; the preexponential factors for the aqueous and aqueous–ethanolic media are ν0 = 7 × 1018 and 6 × 1014 s–1, respectively. The parameters E and ν0 measured in the pure solvents and in the samples containing nanocellulose differ little, which is indicative of a high hydrophobicity of the probe molecule (and hydrogel particles) and of their weak interaction with the environment. The high value (~1018 s–1) of the preexponential factor is explained in terms of the compensation effect of water.  相似文献

The hyperfine structure of the 4f 13 6s 2 2 F 7/2 ground state of Tm169 has been studied with the atomic beam magnetic resonance method. By measuring strongly field-dependent transitions in external magnetic fields between 2200 and 3000 Gauss the interaction between the nuclear magnetic dipole momentμ I and the external field was determined. These measurements yielded a direct value forμ I independent of the electronic properties of the Tm-atom. The results are:μ I=? 0.2310 (15)μ n (diamagnetically corrected), magnetic dipole interaction constanta=? 374.137661(3) Mc/sec andg J(4f 13 6s 2 2 F 7/2)=1.141189 (3).  相似文献

Time-resolved excitation and emission spectra of SrF2: Er3+ upon selective excitation with synchrotron radiation in the VUV and ultrasoft x-ray ranges at T = 8 K were studied. The VUV luminescence of SrF2: Er3+ derives from high-energy interconfiguration 4f105d-4f11 transitions in the Er3+ ion. The VUV emission spectrum revealed, in addition to the 164.5-nm band (millisecond-range kinetics), a band at 146.4 nm (with a decay time of less than 600 ps). The formation of excitation spectra for the f-f and f-d transitions in the Er3+ ion is discussed.  相似文献
