The zinc hydrazide complexes [EtZn(N(SiMe(3))NMe(2))](2), [EtZn(N(Me)NMe(2))](4), and Zn(3)Et(4)(N(Et)NMe(2))(2) were synthesized by allowing excess hydrazine, HN(R)NMe(2), to react with diethyl zinc. The product of the reaction between ZnEt(2) and HN(i-Pr)NMe(2)ortho-metalated 4-(dimethylamino)pyridine (DMAP) at room temperature, producing the complex Zn[(NC(5)H(3)-p-NMe(2))ZnEt(N(i-Pr)NMe(2))](2). At elevated temperatures, Zn(3)Et(4)(N(Et)NMe(2))(2) also ortho-metalated DMAP, but [EtZn(N(Me)NMe(2))](4) did not. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies revealed that the hydrazide ligands in [EtZn(N(SiMe(3))NMe(2))](2) act as bridging mono-hapto amide ligands, and in Zn(3)Et(4)(N(Et)NMe(2))(2) and Zn[(NC(5)H(3)-p-NMe(2))ZnEt(N(i-Pr)NMe(2))](2) the hydrazide ligands are di-hapto.  相似文献

The reaction of [(3,5-Me(2)-C(5)H(3)N)(2)Zn(ESiMe(3))(2)] (E = Se, Te) with cadmium(II) acetate in the presence of PhESiMe(3) and P(n)Pr(3) at low temperature leads to the formation of single crystals of the ternary nanoclusters [Zn(x)()Cd(10)(-)(x)()E(4)-(EPh)(12)(P(n)()Pr(3))(4)] [E = Se, x = 1.8 (2a), 2.6 (2b); Te, x = 1.8 (3a), 2.6 (3b)] in good yield. The clusters [Zn(3)Hg(7)Se(4)(SePh)(12)(P(n)()Pr(3))(4)] (4) and [Cd(3.7)Hg(6.3)Se(4)(SePh)(12)(P(n)()Pr(3))(4)] (5) can be accessed by similar reactions involving [(3,5-Me(2)-C(5)H(3)N)(2)Zn(SeSiMe(3))(2)] or [(N,N'-tmeda)Cd(SeSiMe(3))(2)] (1) and mercury(II) chloride. The metal silylchalcogenolate reagents are efficient delivery sources of {ME(2)} in cluster synthesis, and thus, the metal ion content of these clusters can be readily moderated by controlling the reaction stoichiometry. The reaction of cadmium acetate with [(3,5-Me(2)-C(5)H(3)N)(2)Zn(SSiMe(3))(2)], PhSSiMe(3), and P(n)()Pr(3) affords the larger nanocluster [Zn(2.3)Cd(14.7)S(4)(SPh)(26)(P(n)()Pr(3))(2)] (6). The incorporation of Zn(II) into {Cd(10)E} (E = Se, Te) and Zn(II) or Cd(II) into {Hg(10)Se} nanoclusters results in a significant blue shift in the energy of the first "excitonic" transition. Solid-state thermolysis of complexes 2 and 3 reveals that these clusters can be used as single-source precursors to bulk ternary Zn(x)Cd(1)(-)(x)E materials as well as larger intermediate clusters and that the metal ion ratio is retained during these reactions.  相似文献

[Ag(UO(2))(3) (OAc)(9)][Zn(H(2)O)(4)(CH(3)CH(2)OH)(2)] (, OAc = CH(3)COO(-)) crystallized from an ethanol solution and its structure was determined by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, (1)H NMR, (13)C NMR and X-ray crystallography; it is composed of [Zn(H(2)O)(4)(CH(3)CH(2)OH)(2)](2+) cations and [Ag(UO(2))(3)(OAc)(9)](2-) anions in which triuranyl [(UO(2))(OAc)(3)](3) clusters are linked by the Ag ion.  相似文献

A new Zn(2+) fluorescent chemosensor N'-(3,5-di-tert-butylsalicylidene)-2-hydroxybenzoylhydrazine (H(3)L(1)) and its complexes [Zn(HL(1))C(2)H(5)OH](∞) (1) and [Cu(HL(1))(H(2)O)]CH(3)OH (2) have been synthesized and characterized in terms of their crystal structures, absorption and emission spectra. H(3)L(1) displays high selectivity for Zn(2+) over Na(+), K(+), Mg(2+), Ca(2+) and other transition metal ions in Tris-HCl buffer solution (pH = 7.13, EtOH-H(2)O = 8?:?2 v/v). To obtain insight into the relation between the structure and selectivity, a similar ligand 3,5-di-tert-butylsalicylidene benzoylhydrazine (H(2)L(2)), which lacks the hydroxyl group substituent in salicyloyl hydrazide compared with H(3)L(1), and its complex [Zn(2)(HL(2))(2)(CH(3)COO)(2)(C(2)H(5)OH)] (3), [Co(L(2))(2)][Co(DMF)(4)(C(2)H(5)OH)(H(2)O)] (4), [Fe(HL(2))(2)]Cl·2CH(3)OH (5), have also been investigated as a reference. H(3)L(1) exhibits improved selectivity for Zn(2+) compared to H(2)L(2). The findings indicate that the hydroxyl group substituent exerts an effect on the spectroscopic properties, complex structures and selectivity of the fluorescent sensor.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of the novel systems [Zn(2)(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(5)][(Zn(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(2))(2)V(18)O(42)(H(2)O)].9H(2)O (1), [Cd(2)(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(5)][(Cd(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(2))(2)V(18)O(42)(Br)].9H(2)O (2), and [Zn(2)(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(5)][(Zn(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(2))(2)V(18)O(42)(Cl)].9H(2)O (3) have been described. These materials represent a new class of solids that have been prepared by combining conventional coordination compounds with spherical polyoxovanadate clusters. The isomorphous structures of these hybrid solids consist of two-dimensional arrays of container cluster molecules [V(18)O(42)(X)] (X = H(2)O, Br-, Cl-) interlinked by the transition metal complex moieties [M(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(2)] (M = Zn, Cd). These compounds contain an unprecedented complex cation, [M(2)(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(5)](4+). The room-temperature crystallization of [C(6)N(2)H(18)][Zn(HPO(4))(H(2)PO(4))(2)], an organically templated zinc phosphate containing [Zn(2)(HPO(4))(2)(H(2)PO(4))(4)](4)(-) molecular anions, and its transformation to compounds containing either one- or two-dimensional inorganic components, [C(6)N(2)H(18)][Zn(3)(H(2)O)(4)(HPO(4))(4)], [C(4)N(2)H(12)][Zn(HPO(4))(2)(H(2)O)], or [C(3)N(2)H(6)][Zn(4)(OH)(PO(4))(3)], under hydrothermal conditions were studied in-situ using energy-dispersive X-ray diffraction. The ability to collect data during reactions in a large volume ( approximately 23 mL) Teflon-lined autoclave under real laboratory conditions has allowed for the elucidation of kinetic and mechanistic information. Kinetic data have been determined by monitoring changes in the integrated peak intensities of Bragg reflections and have been modeled using the Avrami-Erofe'ev expression. The crystallization of [C(6)N(2)H(18)][Zn(HPO(4))(H(2)PO(4))(2)] is a diffusion-controlled process, while nucleation is increasingly more important in determining the overall rate of the formation of [C(6)N(2)H(18)][Zn(3)(H(2)O)(4)(HPO(4))(4)], [C(4)N(2)H(12)][Zn(HPO(4))(2)(H(2)O)], and [C(3)N(2)H(6)][Zn(4)(OH)(PO(4))(3)]. The transformation of [C(6)N(2)H(18)][Zn(HPO(4))(H(2)PO(4))(2)] to [C(4)N(2)H(12)][Zn(HPO(4))(2)(H(2)O)] and [C(3)N(2)H(6)][Zn(4)(OH)(PO(4))(3)] occurs via a dissolution-reprecipitation mechanism, while the transformation to [C(6)N(2)H(18)][Zn(3)(H(2)O)(4)(HPO(4))(4)] may be the first observation of a direct topochemical conversion of one organically templated solid to another under hydrothermal conditions.  相似文献

The hydrolysis reaction of K(2)(MeZn)(2)(PSitBu(3))(2) in THF/toluene solution yields the [(MeZn)(4)Zn(2)(mu(3)-PSitBu(3))(4)(mu(4)-O)(2)](4-) anions independent of the applied stoichiometry. If the applied molar ratio resembles the composition of the anion, [(thf)K](2)[(eta(6)-toluene)K](2)[(MeZn)(4)Zn(2)(mu(3)-PSitBu(3))(4)(mu(4)-O)(2)] (1) crystallizes from a mixture of THF and toluene. In the case with less water, a phosphanediylzincate moiety is bonded to this anion, and [Zn(PSitBu(3))(2)K(4)(thf)(6)](2)[(MeZn)(4)Zn(2)(mu(3)-PSitBu(3))(4)(mu(4)-O)(2)] (2) crystallizes. However, again the major product is 1. The same anion is also observed with larger and softer cations, and [(thf)(3)Cs(2)](2)[(MeZn)(4)Zn(2)(mu(3)-PSitBu(3))(4)(mu(4)-O)(2)] (3) is obtained if the cesium zincate is used in this reaction. In all of these compounds, the anion is a slightly distorted Zn(6)O(2)P(4) double-heterocubane cage with a central Zn(2)O(2) ring having Zn-O bond lengths of approximately 207 pm.  相似文献

A 1D double-zigzag framework, {[Zn(paps)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2)}(n) (1; paps = N,N'-bis(pyridylcarbonyl)-4,4'-diaminodiphenyl thioether), was synthesized by the reaction of Zn(ClO(4))(2) with paps. However, a similar reaction, except that dry solvents were used, led to the formation of a novel 2D polyrotaxane framework, [Zn(paps)(2)(ClO(4))(2)](n) (2). This difference relies on the fact that water coordinates to the Zn(II) ion in 1, but ClO(4)(-) ion coordination is found in 2. Notably, the structures can be interconverted by heating and grinding in the presence of moisture, and such a structural transformation can also be proven experimentally by powder and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The related N,N'-bis- (pyridylcarbonyl)-4,4'-diaminodiphenyl ether (papo) and N,N'-(methylenedi-para-phenylene)bispyridine-4-carboxamide (papc) ligands were reacted with Zn(II) ions as well. When a similar reaction was performed with dry solvents, except that papo was used instead of paps, the product mixture contained mononuclear [Zn(papo)(CH(3)OH)(4)](ClO(4))(2) (5) and the polyrotaxane [Zn(papo)(2)(ClO(4))(2)](n) (4). From the powder XRD data, grinding this mixture in the presence of moisture resulted in total conversion to the pure double-zigzag {[Zn(papo)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2)}(n) (3) immediately. Upon heating 3, the polyrotaxane framework of 4 was recovered. The double-zigzag {[Zn(papc)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2)}(n) (6) and polyrotaxane [Zn(papc)(2)(ClO(4))(2)](n) (7) were synthesized in a similar reaction. Although upon heating the double-zigzag 6 undergoes structural transformation to give the polyrotaxane 7, grinding solid 7 in the presence of moisture does not lead to the formation of 6. Significantly, the bright emissions for double-zigzag frameworks of 1 and 3 and weak ones for polyrotaxane frameworks of 2 and 4 also show interesting mechanochromic luminescence.  相似文献

Starting from closely related metal-ligand combinations, completely different oligomeric metal clusters are synthesized. Whereas, picoline-tetrazolylamide HL(1) (1) and zinc or nickel acetate afforded [2x2] grids [M(4)(L(1))(8)] (2), slightly different N-(2-methylthiazole-5-yl)-thiazole-2-carboxamide HL(2) (5 a) and nickel acetate yielded the monometallic complex [Ni(L(2))(2)(OH(2))(2)] (6). In contrast, reaction of 5 a with zinc acetate produced the tetrametallic zinc cluster [Zn(4)O(L(2))(4)(OAc)(2)] (7). Even more surprising, when 3-methyl-substituted HL(3) (5 b) instead of 2-methyl-substituted HL(2) (5 a) was allowed to react under identical conditions with zinc acetate, the cluster [Zn(4)O(L(3))(4)Cl(2)] (8) crystallized from dichloromethane. Clusters 7 and 8 are isostructural. As for 7, in 8 two of the edges of the tetrahedron of zinc ions are doubly bridged, two are singly bridged, and the other two are nonbridged. On the other hand, when iron(II) acetate under aerobic conditions was allowed to react with 5 a, the unprecedented complex [[Fe(3)O(L(2))(2)(OAc)(4)](2)O] (9) was isolated. Cluster 9 is composed of two trimetallic, triangular mu(3)-O(2-)-centered [Fe(3)O(L(2))(2)(OAc)(4)](+) modules, linked by an almost linear mu(2)-O(2-) bridge. The M?ssbauer spectrum together with cyclic voltammetric and square-wave voltammetric measurements of 9 are reported, and 6-9 were characterized unequivocally by single-crystal X-ray structure analyses.  相似文献

Four new Th(IV), U(IV), and Np(IV) hexanuclear clusters with 1,2-phenylenediphosphonate as the bridging ligand have been prepared by self-assembly at room temperature. The structures of Th(6)Tl(3)[C(6)H(4)(PO(3))(PO(3)H)](6)(NO(3))(7)(H(2)O)(6)·(NO(3))(2)·4H(2)O (Th6-3), (NH(4))(8.11)Np(12)Rb(3.89)[C(6)H(4)(PO(3))(PO(3)H)](12)(NO(3))(24)·15H(2)O (Np6-1), (NH(4))(4)U(12)Cs(8)[C(6)H(4)(PO(3))(PO(3)H)](12)(NO(3))(24)·18H(2)O (U6-1), and (NH(4))(4)U(12)Cs(2)[C(6)H(4)(PO(3))(PO(3)H)](12)(NO(3))(18)·40H(2)O (U6-2) are described and compared with other clusters of containing An(IV) or Ce(IV). All of the clusters share the common formula M(6)(H(2)O)(m)[C(6)H(3)(PO(3))(PO(3)H)](6)(NO(3))(n)((6-n)) (M = Ce, Th, U, Np, Pu). The metal centers are normally nine-coordinate, with five oxygen atoms from the ligand and an additional four either occupied by NO(3)(-) or H(2)O. It was found that the Ce, U, and Pu clusters favor both C(3i) and C(i) point groups, while Th only yields in C(i), and Np only C(3i). In the C(3i) clusters, there are two NO(3)(-) anions bonded to the metal centers. In the C(i) clusters, the number of NO(3)(-) anions varies from 0 to 2. The change in the ionic radius of the actinide ions tunes the cavity size of the clusters. The thorium clusters were found to accept larger ions including Cs(+) and Tl(+), whereas with uranium and later elements, only NH(4)(+) and/or Rb(+) reside in the center of the clusters.  相似文献

A family of soluble, reduced iron-sulfur clusters with nuclearities 4, 8, and 16 having tertiary phosphine ligation and based on the Fe(4)S(4) cubane-type structural motif has been synthesized. The results of this investigation substantially extend and improve the results of our original work on iron-sulfur-phosphine clusters (Goh, C.; Segal, B. M.; Huang, J.; Long, J. R.; Holm, R. H. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 1996, 118, 11844). A general property of this cluster family is facile phosphine substitution. The clusters [Fe(4)S(4)(PR(3))(4)](+) are precursors to monosubstituted [Fe(4)S(4)(PR(3))(3)X] (X = Cl-, RS-), homoleptic [Fe(4)S(4)(SR)(4)](3-), and all-ferrous monocubanes [Fe(4)S(4)(PR(3))(4)] (R = Pr(i), Cy, Bu(t); generated in solution). In turn, [Fe(4)S(4)(PPr(i)()(3))(3)(SSiPh(3))] and [Fe(4)S(4)(PPr(i)(3))(4)] can be transformed into the dicubanes [Fe(8)S(8)(PPr(i)()(3))(4)(SSiPh(3))(2)] and [Fe(8)S(8)(PPr(i)((3))(6)], respectively. Further, the tetracubanes [Fe(16)S(16)(PR(3))(8)] are also accessible from [Fe(4)S(4)(PR(3))(4)] under different conditions. X-ray structures are described for [Fe(4)S(4)(PCy(3))(3)X] (X = Cl-, PhS-), [Fe(8)S(8)(PPr(i)(3))(4)(SSiPh(3))(2)], [Fe(8)S(8)(PPr(i)()(3))(6)], and [Fe(16)S(16)(PCy(3))(8)]. The monosubstituted clusters show different distortions of the [Fe(4)S(4)](+) cores from idealized cubic symmetry. The dicubanes possess edge-bridged double cubane structures with an Fe(2)(mu(4)-S)(2) bridge rhomb and idealized C(2)(h)() symmetry. The ready cleavage of these clusters into single cubanes is considered a probable consequence of strained bond angles at the mu(4)-S atoms. Tetracubanes contain four individual cubanes, each of which is implicated in two bridge rhombs so as to generate a cyclic structure of idealized D(4) symmetry. Redox properties and M?ssbauer spectroscopic parameters are reported. The species [Fe(4)S(4)(PR(3))(4)] (in solution), [Fe(8)S(8)(PR(3))(6)], and [Fe(16)S(16)(PR(3))(8)] are the only synthetic all-ferrous clusters with tetrahedral iron sites that have been isolated. Their utility as precursors to other highly reduced iron-sulfur clusters is under investigation.  相似文献

Slow evaporation of solutions prepared by adding either Cu(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O or Zn(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O to solutions containing appropriate proportions of Me(3)tacn (1,4,7-trimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane) and sodium phenyl phosphate (Na(2)PhOPO(3)) gave dark blue crystals of [Cu(3)(Me(3)tacn)(3)(PhOPO(3))(2)](ClO(4))(2).(1)/(2)H(2)O (1) and colorless crystals of [Zn(2)(Me(3)tacn)(2)(H(2)O)(4)(PhOPO(3))](ClO(4))(2).H(2)O (2), respectively. Blue crystals of [Cu(tacn)(2)](BNPP)(2) (3) formed in an aqueous solution of [Cu(tacn)Cl(2)], bis(p-nitrophenyl phosphate) (BNPP), and HEPES buffer (pH 7.4). Compound 1 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 (No. 2) with a = 9.8053(2) A, b = 12.9068(2) A, c = 22.1132(2) A, alpha = 98.636(1) degrees, beta = 99.546(1) degrees, gamma = 101.1733(8) degrees, and Z = 2 and exhibits trinuclear Cu(II) clusters in which square pyramidal metal centers are capped by two phosphate esters located above and below the plane of the metal centers. The trinuclear cluster is asymmetric having Cu...Cu distances of 4.14, 4.55, and 5.04 A. Compound 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c (No. 14) with a = 13.6248(2) A, b = 11.6002(2) A, c = 25.9681(4) A, beta = 102.0072(9) degrees, and Z = 4 and contains a dinuclear Zn(II) complex formed by linking two units of [Zn(Me(3)tacn)(OH(2))(2)](2+) by a single phosphate ester. Compound 3 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c (No. 15) with a = 24.7105(5) A, b = 12.8627(3) A, c = 14.0079(3) A, beta = 106.600(1) degrees, and Z = 4 and consists of mononuclear [Cu(tacn)(2)](2+) cations whose charge is balanced by the BNPP(-) anions.  相似文献

The reactions of zinc dialkyls, R(2)Zn (1a-d; R = Me (a), Et (b), iPr (c) and tBu (d)), with N,N-dialkylhydroxylamines, HO-NR'(2) (2a-c; R' = Me (a), Et (b) and iPr (c)), afford organozinc hydroxylamides under alkane extrusion. Species of different nuclearity are observed, depending on the hydroxylamine 2 employed. The smaller 2a and 2b give pentanuclear complexes of the general formula Zn(RZn)(4)O-NR'(2))(6) (R = Me, Et, iPr and tBu; R' = Me and Et), whereas the derivatives of 2c are tetramers of the general formula (RZn)(4)(O-NR'(2))(4) (R = Me, Et and iPr; R' = iPr) as governed by bulk issues about the N-donor. Due to the ability of the double-donor unit O-NR(2) to change its bridging mode, two coordination isomers exist for both types of compounds. The pentanuclear species crystallise either in a heterofenestrane or an octahedroid motif. For these species, the central Zn atom exhibits either coordination number 4 or 6; in solution, a rapid change between coordination isomers is observed. Due to the absence of a central Zn atom in the tetranuclear species, these aggregate in heterocubane geometries or such derived thereof. They display the O-N units in either κ(3)O or κ(2)O;κ(1)N mode. The tetranuclear species are also yielded with the less sterically encumbered precursors under thermodynamic conditions (i.e. reflux), as exemplified by the reaction of Me(2)Zn (1a) with HO-NEt(2) (2b). They are non-dynamic in solution, showing that a central cation is mandatory for the fluxional behaviour observed for the pentanuclear derivatives. DFT studies on the O-NMe(2) series reveal that the relative energies of the pentazinc isomers become more similar with increasing RZn group size; possible conversions of these to their tetrazinc counterparts were also scrutinised. Two κ(3)O-bridged degradation products of hydroxylamide complexes could be structurally characterised. They were formed either by partial product hydrolysis, or by in situ oxygenation of the starting zinc dialkyl.  相似文献

The binding of group 12 metal ions to bis(2-methylpyridyl) sulfide (1) was investigated by X-ray crystallography and NMR. Seven structures of the chloride and perchlorate salts of Hg(II), Cd(II), and Zn(II) with 1 are reported. Hg(1)(2)(ClO(4))(2), Cd(1)(2)(ClO(4))(2), and Zn(1)(2)(ClO(4))(2).CH(3)CN form mononuclear, six-coordinate species in the solid state with 1 binding in a tridentate coordination mode. Hg(1)(2)(ClO(4))(2) has a distorted trigonal prismatic coordination geometry while Cd(1)(2)(ClO(4))(2) and Zn(1)(2)(ClO(4))(2).CH(3)CN have distorted octahedral geometries. With chloride anions, the 1:1 metal to ligand complexes Hg(1)Cl(2), [Cd(1)Cl(2)](2), and Zn(1)Cl(2) are formed. A bidentate binding mode that lacks thioether coordination is observed for 1 in the four-coordinate, distorted tetrahedral complexes Zn(1)Cl(2) and Hg(1)Cl(2). [Cd(1)Cl(2)](2) is dimeric with a distorted octahedral coordination geometry and a tridentate 1. Hg(1)Cl(2) is comprised of pairs of loosely associated monomers and Zn(1)Cl(2) is monomeric. In addition, Hg(2)(1)Cl(4) is formed with alternating chloride and thioether bridges. The distorted square pyramidal Hg(II) centers result in a supramolecular zigzagging chain in the solid state. The solution (1)H NMR spectra of [Hg(1)(2)](2+) and [Hg(1)(NCCH(3))(x)()](2+) reveal (3)(-)(5)J((199)Hg(1)H) due to slow ligand exchange found in these thioether complexes. Implications for use of Hg(II) as a metallobioprobe are discussed.  相似文献

Two new noncentrosymmetric (NCS) polar oxide materials, Zn(2)(MoO(4))(AO(3)) (A = Se(4+) or Te(4+)), have been synthesized by hydrothermal and solid-state techniques. Their crystal structures have been determined, and characterization of their functional properties (second-harmonic generation, piezoelectricity, and polarization) has been performed. The isostructural materials exhibit a three-dimensional network consisting of ZnO(4), ZnO(6), MoO(4), and AO(3) polyhedra that share edges and corners. Powder second-harmonic generation (SHG) measurements using 1064 nm radiation indicate the materials exhibit moderate SHG efficiencies of 100 × and 80 × α-SiO(2) for Zn(2)(MoO(4))(SeO(3)) and Zn(2)(MoO(4))(TeO(3)), respectively. Particle size vs SHG efficiency measurements indicate the materials are type 1 non-phase-matchable. Converse piezoelectric measurements resulted in d(33) values of ~14 and ~30 pm/V for Zn(2)(MoO(4))(SeO(3)) and Zn(2)(MoO(4))(TeO(3)), respectively, whereas pyroelectric measurements revealed coefficients of -0.31 and -0.64 μC/m(2) K at 55 °C for Zn(2)(MoO(4))(SeO(3)) and Zn(2)(MoO(4))(TeO(3)), respectively. Frequency-dependent polarization measurements confirmed that all of the materials are nonferroelectric; that is, the macroscopic polarization is not reversible, or "switchable". Infrared, UV-vis, thermogravimetric, and differential thermal analysis measurements were also performed. First-principles density functional theory (DFT) electronic structure calculations were also done. A porous bilayered open coordination polymer [Zn(4,4'-bpy)(2)(FcphSO(3))(2)](n) (1; FcphSO(3)Na=m-ferrocenyl benzenesulfonate), has been assembled from Zn(NO(3))(2), m-ferrocenyl benzenesulfonate, and the bridging ligand 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bpy). Ion-exchange induced products [Cd(0.6)Zn(0.4)(4,4'-bpy)(2)(FcphSO(3))(2)](n) (2), [Zn(0.75)Pb(0.25)(4,4'-bpy)(2)(FcphSO(3))(2)](n) (3), and [Cu(0.5)Zn(0.5)(4,4'-bpy)(2)(FcphSO(3))(2)](n) (4) could be obtained directly by suspending a big single crystal of 1 into concentrated solutions of Cd(NO(3))(2), Pb(NO(3))(2), and Cu(NO(3))(2), respectively. Most importantly, the big single crystal of 1 could be partly regenerated after immersion into concentrated aqueous solutions of Zn(NO(3))(2). On the other hand, powdered 1 could also be used as a metal ion adsorbent because of the well-defined pore size and pore shape. Ion exchange takes place along with the process of ion sorption. The big single crystal of 1 removes harmful metal ions by means of ion exchange, whereas powdered 1 removes toxic metal ions mainly through ion sorption. Also, compound 1 could be employed as a multi-ion analysis fluorescent probe to detect dangerous metal ions, such as Pb(2+), Cd(2+), Ag(+), and Cu(2+). The compounds described in this study may have potential applications in the design of new molecular devices.  相似文献
