Hausdorff Dimension of Invariant Sets for Random Dynamical Systems   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Suppose X() is a compact random set, invariant with respect to a continuously differentiable random dynamical system (RDS) on a separable Hilbert space. It is shown that the Hausdorff dimension dim H (X()) is an invariant random variable, and it is bounded by d, provided the RDS contracts d-dimensional volumes exponentially fast. Both exponential decrease of d-volumes as well as the approximation of the RDS by its linearization are assumed to hold uniformly in . The results are applied to reaction diffusion equations with additive noise and to two-dimensional Navier–Stokes equations with bounded real noise.  相似文献

All invariant and partially invariant solutions of the Green-Naghdi equations are obtained that describe the second approximation of shallow water theory. It is proved that all nontrivial invariant solutions belong to one of the following types: Galilean-invariant, stationary, and self-similar solutions. The Galilean-invariant solutions are described by the solutions of the second Painleve equation, the stationary solutions by elliptic functions, and the self-similar solutions by the solutions of the system of ordinary differential equations of the fourth order. We study the asymptotic diagonalization of a system consisting of an -matrix plus a finite number of -perturbations on an interval I 0=[t 0, ), where p, m i[1, ). Using linear skew-product flows and spectral theory, we show that if the unperturbed system has full spectrum over its omega-limit set, then the entire system is asymptotically diagonalizable almost everywhere.  相似文献

In this paper we study the -limit sets of semiflows generated by systems of autonomous parabolic systems under Neumann boundary conditions. Under weaker assumptions than previous works, we show the -limit sets consist of space independent solutions. We also prove similar results for shadow systems and some systems with periodic time dependence and calculate the Conley indices of invariant sets.  相似文献

The stability analysis of linear multistep methods for the numerical solutions of the systems of generalized neutral delay differential equations is discussed. The stability behaviour of linear multistep methods was analysed for the solution of the generalized system of linear neutral test equations. After the establishment of a sufficient condition for asymptotic stability of the solutions of the generalized system, it is shown that a linear multistep method is NGP G -stable if and only if it is A-stable.  相似文献

In this paper, an invariant manifold approach is introduced for the generationof reduced-order models for nonlinear vibrations of multi-degrees-of-freedomsystems. In particular, the invariant manifold approach for defining andconstructing nonlinear normal modes of vibration is extended to the case ofmulti-mode manifolds. The dynamic models obtained from this technique capture the essential coupling between modes of interest, while avoiding coupling fromother modes. Such an approach is useful for modeling complex systemresponses, and is essential when internal resonances exist between modes.The basic theory and a general, constructive methodology for the method arepresented. It is then applied to two example problems, one analytical andthe other finite-element based. Numerical simulation results are obtainedfor the full model and various types of reduced-order models, including theusual projection onto a set of linear modes, and the invariant manifoldapproach developed herein. The results show that the method is capable ofaccurately representing the nonlinear system dynamics with relatively fewdegrees of freedom over a range of vibration amplitudes.  相似文献

A study is made of systems of weakly coupled, semilinear, parabolic equations, namely reaction-diffusion systems, subject to the homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions in parametrized nonconvex domains inR 2. It is assumed that the domain approaches a union of two disjoint domains as the parameter varies. Under some conditions the long-time behavior of bounded solutions is discussed and the existence of a finite-dimensional invariant manifold is shown, together with its attractivity. This manifold is represented by a graph of some function defined in a possibly large bounded region of the phase space, and the original system is reduced to an ODE system on it. Since an explicit form of the reduced ODE system is given, its dynamics can be studied in detail, which in turn reveals the global dynamics of the original reaction-diffusion system. One can thereby prove, among other things, the existence of asymptotically stable equilibrium solutions of the original system having large spatial inhomogeneity. The existence and stability of a spatially inhomogeneous periodic solution of large amplitude are also discussed.  相似文献

For any sufficiently small perturbation of a nonuniform exponential dichotomy, we show that there exist invariant stable manifolds as regular as the dynamics. We also consider the general case of a nonautonomous dynamics defined by the composition of a sequence of maps. The proof is based on a geometric argument that avoids any lengthy computations involving the higher order derivatives. In addition, we describe how the invariant manifolds vary with the dynamics.   相似文献

A method to construct the normal modes for a class of piecewise linear vibratory systems is developed in this study. The approach utilizes the concepts of Poincaré maps and invariant manifolds from the theory of dynamical systems. In contrast to conventional methods for smooth systems, which expand normal modes in a series form around an equilibrium point of interest, the present method expands the normal modes in a series form of polar coordinates in a neighborhood of an invariant disk of the system. It is found that the normal modes, modal dynamics and frequency-amplitude dependence relationship are all of piecewise type. In this paper it is shown that a class ofn-dimensional nonholonomic chained systems can bestabilized using the invariant manifold approach. First, we derive aninvariant manifold for this class of systems and we show that, once onit, all the closed-loop trajectories tend to the origin under a linearsmooth time-invariant state feedback. Thereafter, it is shown that thismanifold can be made attractive by means of a discontinuoustime-invariant state feedback. 导出了一类非线性振动系统的改进状态空间模型,提出了相应的数值计算方法,并利用迭代法有效地提高了计算精度。该数值方法与传统的Houbolt、Wilson-θ、Newmark-β法以及连续线性化模型及其Taylor变换法^[3,4]相比,具有更高的求解精度和效率。文末给出了非线性单摆、强迫Duffing方程、强迫Van Der Pol方程以及两自由度非线性弹簧摆这几类典型非线性方程的数值计算结果,并与文献[5-8]进行对比,进一步说明了该方法在计算精度和效率两方面的优越性。  相似文献

An algorithm is proposed to synthesize a reliable controller with a given stability margin for linear and periodic systems optimized with respect to a quadratic performance criterion. A reliable controller synthesized by the algorithm guarantees the stability margin and is close to the linear-quadratic requlator. The importance of ensuring the stability margin is demonstrated. The proposed algorithm is based on methods of linear matrix inequalities and can be implemented using standard MATLAB routines. A vector bundle morphism of a vector bundle with strongly ordered Banach spaces as fibers is studied. It is assumed that the fiber maps of this morphism are compact and strongly positive. The existence of two complementary, dimension-one and codimension-one, continuous subbundles invariant under the morphism is established. Each fiber of the first bundle is spanned by a positive vector (that is, a nonzero vector lying in the order cone), while the fibers of the other bundle do not contain a positive vector. Moreover, the ratio between the norms of the components (given by the splitting of the bundle) of iterated images of any vector in the bundle approaches zero exponentially (if the positive component is in the denominator). This is an extension of the Krein-Rutman theorem which deals with one compact strongly positive map only. The existence of invariant bundles with the above properties appears to be very useful in the investigation of asymptotic behavior of trajectories of strongly monotone discrete-time dynamical systems, as demonstrated by Poláik and Tereák (Arch. Ration. Math. Anal. 116, 339–360, 1991) and Hess and Poláik (preprint). The present paper also contains some new results on typical asymptotic behavior in scalar periodic parabolic equations.  相似文献
