An asymmetric nonlinear oscillator representative of the finite forced dynamics of a structural system with initial curvature is used as a model system to show how the combined use of numerical and geometrical analysis allows deep insight into bifurcation phenomena and chaotic behaviour in the light of the system global dynamics.Numerical techniques are used to calculate fixed points of the response and bifurcation diagrams, to identify chaotic attractors, and to obtain basins of attraction of coexisting solutions. Geometrical analysis in control-phase portraits of the invariant manifolds of the direct and inverse saddles corresponding to unstable periodic motions is performed systematically in order to understand the global attractor structure and the attractor and basin bifurcations.  相似文献

In this paper, a new conception of composite cell coordinate system is presented by dividing the continuous state space into the cell state space with different scales. For a dynamical system, attractors, basins of attraction, basin boundaries, saddles, and invariant manifolds can be easily obtained, and any region of the state space can be refined by this method. The global bifurcations, such as crisis and metamorphosis, of the Rayleigh?CDuffing oscillator are studied by the composite cell coordinate system method. According to the sudden changes in shapes of the chaotic attractor and the chaotic saddle, we find that three types of crises can all occur, including boundary crisis, interior crisis, and attractor emerging crisis. In addition, the basin boundary metamorphoses, such as fractal-Wada, Wada-Wada, and Wada-fractal, are analyzed through observing the shapes of basin boundaries. These results demonstrate the efficiency and validity of this method in analyzing dynamical systems.  相似文献

In this paper we study the continuity of invariant sets for nonautonomous infinite-dimensional dynamical systems under singular perturbations. We extend the existing results on lower-semicontinuity of attractors of autonomous and nonautonomous dynamical systems. This is accomplished through a detailed analysis of the structure of the invariant sets and its behavior under perturbation. We prove that a bounded hyperbolic global solutions persists under singular perturbations and that their nonlinear unstable manifold behave continuously. To accomplish this, we need to establish results on roughness of exponential dichotomies under these singular perturbations. Our results imply that, if the limiting pullback attractor of a nonautonomous dynamical system is the closure of a countable union of unstable manifolds of global bounded hyperbolic solutions, then it behaves continuously (upper and lower) under singular perturbations.  相似文献

Although different hyperjerk systems have been discovered, a few hyperjerk systems can exhibit hyperchaotic behavior. In this work, we introduce a new hyperjerk system with hyperchaotic attractors. By investigating dynamics of the system, we have observed the different coexisting attractors such as coexistence of period-2 attractors, or coexistence of period-2 attractor and quasiperiodic attractor. It is worth noting that this striking phenomenon is rarely reported in a hyperjerk system. The proposed system has been realized with electronic components. The agreement between the simulation and experimental results indicates the feasibility of the hyperjerk system. Moreover, chaos control and synchronization of such hyperjerk system have been also reported.  相似文献

We consider discrete equivariant dynamical systems and obtain results about the structure of attractors for such systems. We show, for example, that the symmetry of an attractor cannot, in general, be an arbitrary subgroup of the group of symmetries. In addition, there are group-theoretic restrictions on the symmetry of connected components of a symmetric attractor. The symmetry of attractors has implications for a new type of pattern formation mechanism by which patterns appear in the time-average of a chaotic dynamical system.Our methods are topological in nature and exploit connectedness properties of the ambient space. In particular, we prove a general lemma about connected components of the complement of preimage sets and how they are permuted by the mapping.These methods do not themselves depend on equivariance. For example, we use them to prove that the presence of periodic points in the dynamics limits the number of connected components of an attractor, and, for one-dimensional mappings, to prove results on sensitive dependence and the density of periodic points.  相似文献

应用广义胞映射图论(Generalized Cell Mapping Digraph)方法,数值地研究Thompson的逃逸方程在最佳逃逸点附近的分岔。发现了嵌入在Wada分形吸引域边界上的混沌鞍,混沌鞍是状态空间不稳定(非吸引)的混沌不变集合。Wada分形吸引域边界是具有Wada性质的边界,即吸引域边界上的任意点也同时是至少两个其它吸引域的边界点,称为Wada域边界。我们证明Wada域边界上的混沌鞍导致局部鞍结分岔具有全局不确定性结局,研究了Wada域边界上混沌鞍的形成与演化,证明最终的逃逸分岔是混沌吸引子碰撞混沌鞍的边界激变。  相似文献

Some properties of hyperchaos are exploited by studying both uncoupled and coupled CML. In addition to usual properties of chaotic strange attractors, there are other interesting properties, such as: the number of unstable periodic points embedded in the strange attractor increases dramatically increasing and a large number of low-dimensional chaotic invariant sets are contained in the strange attractor. 大量的多吸引子共存是引起齿轮传动系统具有丰富动力学行为的一个重要因素.多吸引子共存时,运动工况的变化以及不可避免的扰动都可能导致齿轮传动系统在不同运动行为之间跳跃变换,对整个机器产生不良的影响.目前,一些隐藏的吸引子没有被发现,共存吸引子的分岔演化规律没有被完全揭示.考虑单自由度直齿圆柱齿轮传动系统,构建由局部映射复合的Poincaré映射,给出Jacobi矩阵特征值计算的半解析法.应用数值仿真、延拓打靶法和Floquet特征乘子求解共存吸引子的稳定性与分岔,应用胞映射法计算共存吸引子的吸引域,讨论啮合频率、阻尼比和时变激励幅值对系统动力学的影响,揭示齿轮传动系统倍周期型擦边分岔、亚临界倍周期分岔诱导的鞍结分岔和边界激变等不连续分岔行为.倍周期分岔诱导的鞍结分岔引起相邻周期吸引子相互转迁的跳跃与迟滞,使倍周期分岔呈现亚临界特性.鞍结分岔是共存周期吸引子出现或消失的主要原因.边界激变引起混沌吸引子及其吸引域突然消失,对应周期吸引子的分岔终止.  相似文献

In this paper, we generalize the notion of an attractor for the stochastic dynamical system introduced in [7]. We prove that the stochastic attractor satisfies most of the properties satisfied by the usual attractor in the theory of deterministic dynamical systems. We also show that our results apply to the stochastic Navier-Stokes equation, the white noise-driven Burgers equation, and a nonlinear stochastic wave equation.  相似文献

This paper focuses on thoroughly exploring the finite-time transient behaviors occurring in a periodically driven non-smooth dynamical system. Prior to settling down into a long-term behavior, such as a periodic forced oscillation, or a chaotic attractor, responses may exhibit a variety of transient behaviors involving regular dynamics, co-existing attractors, and super-persistent chaotic transients. A simple and fundamental impacting mechanical system is used to demonstrate generic transient behavior in an experimental setting for a single degree of freedom non-smooth mechanical oscillator. Specifically, we consider a horizontally driven rigid-arm pendulum system that impacts an inclined rigid barrier. The forcing frequency of the horizontal oscillations is used as a bifurcation parameter. An important feature of this study is the systematic generation of generic experimental initial conditions, allowing a more thorough investigation of basins of attraction when multiple attractors are present. This approach also yields a perspective on some sensitive features associated with grazing bifurcations. In particular, super-persistent chaotic transients lasting much longer than the conventional settling time (associated with linear viscous damping) are characterized and distinguished from regular dynamics for the first time in an experimental mechanical system.  相似文献

多时间尺度问题具有广泛的工程与科学研究背景,慢变参数则是多时间尺度问题的典型标志之一.然而现有文献所报道的慢变参数问题,其展现出的振荡形式及内部分岔结构,大多较为单一,此外少有文献涉及到混沌激变的现象.本文以含慢变周期激励的达芬映射为例,探讨了一类具有复杂分岔结构的张弛振荡.快子系统的分岔表现为S形不动点曲线,其上、下稳定支可经由倍周期分岔通向混沌.而在一定的参数条件下,存在着导致混沌吸引子突然消失的一对临界参数值.当分岔参数达到此临界值时,混沌吸引子可能与不稳定不动点相接触,也可能与之相距一定距离.对快子系统吸引域分布的模拟,表明存在着导致边界激变(boundary crisis)的临界值,在这些值附近,经由延迟倍周期分岔演化而来的混沌吸引子可与2n(n=0,1,2,…)周期轨道乃至混沌吸引子共存.当慢变量周期地穿过临界点后,双稳态的消失导致原本处于混沌轨道的轨线对称地向此前共存的吸引子转迁,从而使系统出现了不同吸引子之间的滞后行为,由此产生了由边界激变所诱发的多种对称式张弛振荡.本文的结果丰富了对离散系统的多时间尺度动力学机理的认识.  相似文献

We first present some sufficient conditions for the existence and the construction of a pullback exponential attractor for the continuous process (non-autonomous dynamical system) on Banach spaces and weighted spaces of infinite sequences. Then we apply our results to study the existence of pullback exponential attractors for first order non-autonomous differential equations and partly dissipative differential equations on infinite lattices with time-dependent coupled coefficients and time-dependent external terms in weighted spaces.  相似文献

In this paper a periodic parameter-switching scheme is applied to the Hindmarsh–Rose neuronal system to synthesize certain attractors. Results show numerically, via computer graphic simulations, that the obtained synthesized attractor belongs to the class of all admissible attractors for the Hindmarsh–Rose neuronal system and matches the averaged attractor obtained with the control parameter replaced with the averaged switched parameter values. This feature allows us to imagine that living beings are able to maintain vital behavior while the control parameter switches so that their dynamical behavior is suitable for the given environment.  相似文献

We have performed a numerical study of the dynamics of a harmonically forced sliding oscillator with two degrees of freedom and dry friction. The study of the four-dimensional dynamical system corresponding to the two non-linear motion equations can be reduced, in this case, to the study of a three-dimensional Poincaré map. The behaviour of the system has been investigated calculating bifurcation diagrams, time series, periodic and chaotic attractors and basins of attraction. Furthermore, a systematic study of the stability of periodic solutions and their bifurcations has been carried out applying the Floquet theory. The results show rich dynamics being very sensitive to the changes in forcing amplitudes (control parameter), where periodic and chaotic states alternatively appear. It is shown how the system exhibits different types of bifurcational phenomena (saddle-node, symmetry-breaking, period-doubling cascades and intermittent transitions to chaos) into relatively narrow intervals of the control parameter. Moreover, a collection of chaotic attractors was computed to show the evolution of the chaotic regime. Finally, basins of attraction were calculated. In all the cases studied, the basins exhibit fractal structure boundaries and, when more of two attractors are coexisting, we have found Wada basin boundaries.  相似文献
