一种可编程PMD模拟器   总被引:5,自引:3,他引:2  
为了研究光纤通信中的偏振模色散(PMD)及其对高速光通信系统的影响和补偿技术,研制了一种可编程控制的PMD模拟器,它由6组双折射晶体和磁光晶体组成,群时延差(DGD)变化范围为±(0.3~35) ps,可设为不同平均值的Maxwell统计分布随机变化,也可以设为其它要求的数学分布.实验证明,该模拟器测量值与理论符合得很好,且具有较高的重复性和稳定性,响应时间小于1 ms.这种模拟器可用于10 Gb/s和40 Gb/s光传输系统PMD问题的研究.  相似文献

通过对微分群时延差(DGD)统计特性和偏振模色散(PMD)矢量自相关函数的数值模拟,分析比较了目前常用的三种PMD模拟器的性能. 结果表明:在DGD分布方面,由DGD发生器构成的模拟器,一个DGD发生器就可与实际光纤PMD的统计特性相符合,而由保偏光纤和可旋转的连接器构成的模拟器则至少需要15段. 在自相关函数方面,基于保偏光纤的模拟器取决于各段光纤的延时量,而基于DGD发生器的模拟器在中心频带外的自相关值很平稳,可视为常数. 关键词: 光纤通信 偏振模色散 偏振模色散模拟器 自相关函数  相似文献

PMF级联模型是进行PMD研究广泛采用的模型.从PMD矢量在Stokes空间的运动入手,推导出了PMF级联模型的DGD的统计分布并给出了整体特性与局部特性之间的关系,所得结果用JME法验证是正确的.最后通过误差分析,提出了该模型的级联段数的选取原则.所得结论可为PMD的仿真提供理论依据.  相似文献

采用Agilent 81910A光子全参量测试仪,首次实验研究了InP/In1-xGaxAs1-yPy-MQW(Multiple-Quantum-Well,MQW)材料与衬底间因应力而产生的M-Z型光调制器的PDL影响以及由此引起的由差分群时延(Differential Group Delay,DGD)表征的偏振模色散(Polarization Mode Dispersion,PMD).研究结果表明,半导体MQW光调制器的PDL与DGD是一致的.因此在半导体光器件的制作过程中,应尽可能地减小衬底与波导芯层之间的因残存应力的存在造成对光器件的高速性能的不利影响.  相似文献

对于高速光传输,直接检测的光正交频分复用系统(direct detection optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing, DDO-OFDM)中的偏振相关损耗(polarization dependent loss, PDL)与偏振模色散相互作用,对系统传输带来较大影响。对DDO-OFDM系统中PDL与一阶PMD作用机理和数学模型进行了分析,并通过数字仿真加以验证。结果表明:在PDL与PMD联合作用下,对OFDM信号幅度及相位均产生影响,通过发送导频序列可有效实现信号均衡;由于输出偏振态随频率产生旋转,PMD效应一定程度上缓解PDL所致系统损伤,差分群时延为50 ps条件下,以10 Gb/s的速率在单模光纤传输480 km,DDO-OFDM系统Q值提高约0.8 dB。  相似文献

讨论了三阶偏振模色散(PMD)的统计特性及其对于高阶PMD补偿系统的影响.数值模拟结果表明,随着即时差分群时延(DGD)的增加,二阶PMD单位矢量旋转速率的统计覆盖范围的变化趋势与主偏振态(PSP)旋转斜率的相应变化正好相反.此外,随着即时DGD的增加,二阶PMD模值的统计覆盖范围不断增加,使得高速光通信系统中高阶PMD补偿的实现将更加困难.  相似文献

运用偏振度(DOP)椭球法从实验的有限样点数据中获得了差分群时延和偏振主态方向,这为前馈补偿实验提供了最关键的技术因素.在实验中获得了偏振主态方向和DGD,而且当DGD较小时,从实验所获得的DGD值与理论模拟的变化趋势基本一致.结果表明当DGD较小时,可以用偏振度椭球法从实验上得到正确的DGD和偏振主态方向.  相似文献

从分数傅里叶变换(FRFT)的定义出发,理论分析了联合分数变换相关器(JFRTC)的分数相关特性.从所得JFRTC的数学表达式中可以看出,将FRFT应用到联合变换相关器(JTC)中得到的JFRTC具有与传统JTC不同的性质.对于传统JTC,一旦输入平面上参考图像与目标图像之间的距离给定,相关输出峰的位置即确定,而JFRTC的相关输出峰的位置则可以由分数级次p1和p2来自由调节,这个特性在实际模式识别中非常有用.另一方面,JFRTC的相关输出峰值在大多数情况下低于传统JTC的相关峰值,却是JFRTC的一大缺点.最后,从FRFT的比例性质出发,给出了FRFT谱畸变不变的实现条件,并由此预言了JFRTC畸变不变模式识别的功能.  相似文献

对大直径重掺锑硅单晶中流动图形缺陷(FPDs)进行了研究.利用高温快速退火工艺(RTA) ,将重掺锑硅片在N2,Ar,H2三种不同气氛下进行热处理,对退 火前后FPDs的密度变化进行了研究,分析了重掺锑硅单晶中FPDs在不同高温RTA过程中的热 稳定性.并从重掺杂原子锑与间隙氧之间的关系,分析了重掺锑硅片中FPDs在高温快速退火 工艺下的消除机制,认为重掺锑硅单晶中大量的锑原子,影响了硅片中间隙氧的浓度分布, 进而影响了原生微缺陷的形成及热行为. 关键词: 重掺锑硅单晶 快速退火(RTA) 流动图形缺陷(FPDs) 空洞缺陷  相似文献

用琼斯矩阵本征分析法和邦加球法,分别测量了22 km和75 km G.652单模光纤中的二阶偏振模色散,并对其平行分量、垂直分量、PCD(Polarization dependent chromatic dispersion)、消偏振项、各个分量的统计特性及其影响进行了详细的分析,得到了二阶偏振模色散随波长的分布情况及统计特性. 从统计结果可以得到,与PCD项相比,消偏振项在二阶偏振模色散中起主要作用. 该研究对二阶偏振模色散的补偿有一定的指导意义.  相似文献

Abstract

The performance of a wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) system with optical cross-connects (OXCs) and in the presence of polarization and nonlinear effects was analyzed. We determined the effect of PMD and PDL; nonlinearity such as XPM, SPM, and FWM; and CD on the system performance. We found that the system outage probability is highest at DGD threshold for the respective maximum eye closure (EC). We showed that the allowable DGD depends on the time slot for one bit T, which is the inverse of the network bit rate. Wider T is more immune to large PMD with the EC still maintained at the same level since DGD/T is unchanged. Our analysis also indicated that as DGD increases, BER increases. The BER also increases with increase in PDL and further increases with the presence of XPM, SPM, FWM, and CD.  相似文献

Considering the presence of birefringence in Bragg gratings, the spectral polarization mode dispersion (PMD) and polarization dependent loss (PDL) induced power penalty of eye opening is examined for a network with cascaded Bragg gratings. It is shown that when the birefringence in the grating is less than 10−5, the induced power penalty is less than 0.1 dB for a network with up to 30 cascaded Bragg gratings. However, when the grating birefringence is on the order of 10−4, the induced power penalty can be as high as 5.6 dB for a network with 14 cascaded Bragg gratings.  相似文献

In this paper, we completely study the wavelength dependency of differential group delay (DGD) and polarization dependent loss (PDL) for Bragg gratings written in birefringent fibers. Based on the coupled mode theory, we present analytical expressions for the evolution with wavelength of the transmission coefficient, the DGD and the PDL. The wavelength dependencies of these evolutions on the birefringence are then discussed. Experimental results are finally presented for an apodized FBG written in a bow-tie fiber. A very good agreement between theory and experience is reported, confirming the validity of the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

A novel compact triplexer, which consists of series cascaded exponential-tapered multimode interference couplers, is introduced in this paper. General self-image properties of the exponential-tapered multimode interference couplers are investigated thoroughly to fulfill the compact integrated triplexer. By combining four exponential-tapered MMI couplers, a novel compact 0.6 cm-long triplexer that is with ITU standard wavelength of 1310 nm, 1490 nm and 1550 nm for FTTH is achieved without requiring complicated design. And it can be fabricated by common planar lightwave circuit (PLC) technology. From the simulation results for wavelength of 1310 nm, 1490 nm and 1550 nm, the insertion losses are 0.34 dB, 0.9 dB and 1.17 dB, with isolations for each output waveguide ranging from 12.74 dB to 37.15 dB. The 3 dB passband widths for 1310 nm, 1490 nm and 1550 nm are 112.39 nm, 29.44 nm and 26.7 nm.  相似文献
