The effect of a resonance radiation pulse on the gas parameters is investigated. It is assumed that the pulse duration is large enough for the diffusion and heat conduction to be taken into account. The hydrodynamics and diffusion of an admixture near an isolated bubble, which simulates the rise of either a chain of identical bubbles or a system of regularly arranged bubbles of the same volume, are analyzed by solving the Navier-Stokes equations numerically. Data are presented for a specific liquid. It is shown that in both cases the maximum flow velocity on the surface of identical bubbles is practically the same, although in the former case the ascent velocity is considerably higher. The stationary admixture diffusion from a bubble also proves to be nearly the same.In relation to the bubbling of a gas through a liquid layer, it is shown that the total admixture diffusion is maximum for regularly arranged bubbles whose diameter is comparable with the liquids capillary constant. Although the flow past the bubble remains continuous, the values of the hydrodynamic parameters are no longer small.Novosibirsk. The plane one-dimensional problem of the diffusion of a megagauss field into a metal wall is solved taking into account heat conduction and radiation transfer. At the interface, the magnetic field is assumed to be constant, and in this sense, the problem is close to the self-similar diffusion problem with parameters dependent on the self-similar variable x/ . It is shown that if heat conduction and radiation transfer are taken into account, in megagauss fields (in the examined formulation for fields B > 1.6 MGs) there is no loss of conductivity of the material evaporated by the magnetic field because of the formation of a plasma layer at the interface with a temperature in the electronvolt range. The stability of thermocapillary two-component liquid flow is studied taking into account thermal diffusion. An explicit expression is obtained to construct neutral Marangoni numbers under the assumption of monotonicity of perturbations. The thermocapillary and hydrodynamic instability mechanisms are considered. In a theoretical study of turbulent burning it is usually assumed that the average rate of the chemical reaction (heat release) is determined only by the average temperature. Ya. B. Zel'dovich [1] and later T. Karman [2] noted the necessity of taking into account the effect of temperature pulsations on the reaction rate. A quantitative estimate of this effect on the reaction rate constant is given in [3]. A critical analysis of various approaches to the theoretical study of turbulent flames is given in the reviews [4, 5]. In the present article, it is shown that, taking the pulsation component of the temperature and concentration into account, the average rate of the chemical reaction depends on the gradient of the mean temperature and the scale of the turbulent pulsations. The case, where a first-order reaction takes place in the flame is studied in detail. Existence and uniqueness theorems which determine the limits of the propagation of flames are proven. Quantitative rules for the propagation rate, limit, and structure of a turbulent flame front are analyzed with respect to the results of a numerical calculation of a series of variants. A statistical formulation is proposed for determining the bounds of elastic macrocharacteristics of a composite material by using classical variational theorems of the elasticity theory. Modifications are considered of the mean Planck absorption coefficient for a section of an absorbing medium adjacent to a source section, taking into account temperature inequalities of blackbody radiation and the absorption cross section of the medium, as well as the effect of the length of the section, which is small. Nonlinear Tolmin-Schlichting waves are studied [1–8]. The investigation is carried out by means of a modified Stuart-Watson method [1–3]. The calculation of the transport coefficients of a dissociating gas involves fundamental difficulties which arise when the internal degrees of freedom of the molecules are taken strictly into account. In practical calculations extensive use is made of the approximation proposed in [1], in the context of which the dependence of the diffusion velocity of the molecule on its internal state is totally neglected. In this case the expressions for the stress tensor and the diffusion velocities coincide with the corresponding expressions for a mixture of structureless particles; in the expression for the heat flux the diffusion transport of internal energy is taken only approximately into account. Here, analytic expressions for the diffusion velocities, heat flux and stress tensor are obtained without introducing simplifying assumptions. The calculation method is based on the results of [2], in which an approximate method of calculating the transport coefficients of a multicomponent mixture of structureless particles was proposed, and [3], in which the transport coefficients of a rotationally excited gas were calculated. The relations obtained are analyzed and compared with the existing results; their accuracy is estimated. The dynamics of a spherical cavity in a non-Newtonian fluid, described by the Reiner-Rivlin rheological equation [1], is investigated. The equation of radial cavity motion is obtained, where the gas in the cavity is subject to a polytropic law and surface tension is taken into account. The equation of cavity motion is solved numerically for a number of values of the transverse viscosity coefficient. The influence of the transverse viscosity on the collapse process of vapor and gas-filled cavities is shown. The nonequilibrium effects in the kinetics of the thermal dissociation which occurs in a streaming gas of diatomic molecules are investigated. Expressions are obtained for the macroscopic reaction rate and the vibrational energy distribution of the molecules, taking into account the influence of the gas motion. A poromechanical model is presented for estimating swelling of nano-porous media fully saturated with a fluid phase. From the Gibbs adsorption isotherm, the effective pore pressure and the volumetric strain are estimated incrementally taking into account the variations of porosity upon swelling and therefore the variations of the poromechanical properties (apparent modulus, Biot coefficient, Biot modulus). Moreover, the interaction between swelling and the adsorption isotherms are examined by proposing a correction to the Gibbs formalism by taking into account the pore volume variation upon swelling. First, comparisons with experimental data found in the literature are performed, and a fair agreement is observed.  相似文献

The hypersonic nonequilibrium rarefied gas flow is investigated in the neighborhood of the stagnation streamline ahead of a blunt body by taking into account nonequilibrium radiation due to electron excitation for air and carbon dioxide. The analysis is on the basis of a numerical solution of the Navier—Stokes equations simplified under the assumption of local self-similarity of the flow with the Shockwave structure taken into account. It is shown that at low densities, when the shock wave and shock layer thicknesses are of the same order of magnitudes, the two-layer Cheng model becomes inapplicable in the presence of radiation. In this case, the governing process is diffusion of the electronically excited molecules from the shock layer into the forward part of the shock front. The mechanism of the formation of a second luminous plateau on the diagram of the nonequilibrium radiation intensity density is discussed. A boundary-value problem in the theory of propagation of a fine-scale turbulent flame is investigated, taking into account the influence of temperature and concentration pulsations on the magnitude of the heat liberation rate. In contrast to [1], the case when a second-order reaction proceeds in the flame is examined in detail. Conditions are found for the existence of a turbulent flame; the structure of the flame front is studied by a computational method. A study was made of conditions at the front of a strong shock wave taking account of the absorption of leading radiation. Emphasis is laid on the role of the dimensionless parameters which arise under these circumstances, and an evaluation is made of the values of these parameters for a number of practically important cases involving the entry of blunt bodies into dense layers of the Earth's atmosphere. Calculations are carried out to determine the composition and the parameters of the flow of molecular nitrogen entering into the shock wave, and conclusions are drawn with respect to the general problem of hypersonic flow around a blunt body, taking radiation into account. In an investigation of the flow of a hypersonic stream of air around a blunt body, taking account of radiation, it is necessary to have some idea of how the radiation leaving the zone of the shock wave reacts with the oncoming flow of cold air. The importance of taking this reaction into account is indicated by the results of observation of the reentry of spacecraft into dense layers of the atmosphere [1], and by existing experimental data on strong shock waves [2]. This reaction is bound up with the fact that the absorption of intense short-wave radiation from the shock wave in cold air leads to photodissociation and photoionization of the molecules of air, i.e., to an actual increase in the enthalpy of the air. Various methods of taking the mobility anisotropy into account in modeling of the behavior of polymer fluids in a simple shear flow are compared. Both the qualitative coincidence of the results of the analysis and the difficulties of quantitatively estimating the anisotropy microparameters on the basis of the available data concerning steady shear are noted. For axial tension the dependence of steady viscosity on tensile stress is considered. Summary The gas centrifuges which were used for isotope separation 1,2) have cylindrical rotors. In consequence of the equality of the relaxation times for diffusion and gas motion, and taking into account the pressure-dependence of the diffusion constant, the time-dependent equation for a cylindrical centrifuge is rather complicated 3). Therefore a simple centrifuge-model where gas motion does not need to be considered is of interest. Though the theoretical maximum peripheral velocity for this model is up to 2-times higher than for a cylindrical rotor 1), this interest is only mathematical.  相似文献
