We consider an elastic isotropic material containing a fibrous inclusion or a void subject to loads. We study the possibility of increasing the strength of the material using “control action.” As examples of such actions we consider an additional external load, application of pressure in the cavities (voids), and variation of the temperature of uniform heating of the medium with the inclusions. Studies are carried out for two-dimensional problems of linear elasticity theory. From the class of all possible actions we single out a subclass leading to states of equal strength along the phase interface. We study the efficiency of these types of action and show that in certain cases they lead to a manifold increase in the strength of the material. We give the results of numerical studies. In this study we formulate the mixed initial boundary value problem for a dipolar thermoelastic material whose micro-particles possess microtemperatures. Then this mixed problem is transformed in a Cauchy problem attached to a temporally equation of evolution on a specific Hilbert space, which will be suitably chosen. As such, we will be able to use certain results specific to the theory of the semigroups of contractions in order to obtain the existence and uniqueness of the solution for our problem. The theory of semigroups also facilitates our approach regarding the continuous dependence of the solution upon initial data and loads. Finally, we reduce our model to the isotropic case and perform numerical simulations for the corresponding system of partial differential equations by means of the finite element method.  相似文献

Microrotation effect of a load applied normal to the boundary and moving at a constant velocity along one of the co-ordinate axis in a generalized thermoelastic half-space is studied. The analytical expressions of the displacement component, force stress, couple stress and temperature field for two different theories i.e. Lord-Shulman (L-S) and Green-Lindsay (G-L) for supersonic, subsonic and transonic velocities in case of mechanical and thermal sources applied, are obtained by the use of Fourier transform technique. The integral transforms have been inverted by using a numerical technique and the numerical results are illustrated graphically for magnesium crystal-like material.  相似文献

A shape optimization problem concerned with thermal deformation of elastic bodies is considered. In this article, measure theory approach in function space is derived, resulting in an effective algorithm for the discretized optimization problem. First the problem is expressed as an optimal control problem governed by variational forms on a fixed domain. Then by using an embedding method, the class of admissible shapes is replaced by a class of positive Borel measures. The optimization problem in measure space is then approximated by a linear programming problem. The optimal measure representing optimal shape is approximated by the solution of this finite-dimensional linear programming problem. Numerical examples are also given.  相似文献

In this work, we consider a system of two identical beams of uniform thickness modeled as a Timoshenko system. The slip between the beams is taken into account, and the system is coupled with a heat equation. Moreover, the slip equation is subject to a distributed delay of neutral type. Delays are known to be of a destructive nature in general. Therefore, here, the delay will compete with a frictional damping and the dissipation produced by the heat equation. We provide sufficient conditions ensuring exponential and polynomial stability of the structure.  相似文献

We consider a plane viscoelastic body, composed of Maxwell material, with a crack and a thin rigid inclusion. The statement of the problem includes boundary conditions in the form of inequalities, together with an integral condition describing the equilibrium conditions of the inclusion. An equivalent variational statement is provided and used to prove the uniqueness of the problem’s solution. The analysis is carried out in respect of perfect and non-perfect bonding of the rigid inclusion. Additional smoothness properties of the solutions, namely the existence of the time derivative, are also established.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with two rearrangement optimization problems. These problems are motivated by two eigenvalue problems which depend nonlinearly on the eigenvalues. We consider a rational and a quadratic eigenvalue problem with Dirichlet’s boundary condition and investigate two related optimization problems where the goal function is the corresponding first eigenvalue. The first eigenvalue in the rational eigenvalue problem represents the ground state energy of a nanostructured quantum dot. Problems of determining the mechanical and electrical fields in a piezoelectric plate reinforced with an inclusion or in a half-space weakened by a cut are considered. Using the methods of the theory of analytic functions these problems are reduced to a system of singular integro-differential equations (for a plate) or to a singular integral equation with a fixed singularity (for a half-space).
