Let \(G\) be a connected Lie group and \(S\) a generating Lie semigroup. An important fact is that generating Lie semigroups admit simply connected covering semigroups. Denote by \(\widetilde{S}\) the simply connected universal covering semigroup of \(S\) . In connection with the problem of identifying the semigroup \(\Gamma (S)\) of monotonic homotopy with a certain subsemigroup of the simply connected covering semigroup \(\widetilde{S}\) we consider in this paper the following subsemigroup $$\begin{aligned} \widetilde{S}_{L}=\overline{\left\langle \mathrm {Exp}(\mathbb {L} (S))\right\rangle } \subset \widetilde{S}, \end{aligned}$$ where \(\mathrm {Exp}:\mathbb {L}(S)\rightarrow S\) is the lifting to \( \widetilde{S}\) of the exponential mapping \(\exp :\mathbb {L}(S)\rightarrow S\) . We prove that \(\widetilde{S}_{L}\) is also simply connected under the assumption that the Lie semigroup \(S\) is right reversible. We further comment how this result should be related to the identification problem mentioned above.  相似文献

Yu, Wang, Wu and Ye call a semigroup \(S\) \(\tau \) -congruence-free, where \(\tau \) is an equivalence relation on \(S\) , if any congruence \(\rho \) on \(S\) is either disjoint from \(\tau \) or contains \(\tau \) . A congruence-free semigroup is then just an \(\omega \) -congruence-free semigroup, where \(\omega \) is the universal relation. They determined the completely regular semigroups that are \(\tau \) -congruence-free with respect to each of the Green’s relations. The goal of this paper is to extend their results to all regular semigroups. Such a semigroup is \(\mathrel {\mathcal {J}}\) -congruence-free if and only if it is either a semilattice or has a single nontrivial \(\mathrel {\mathcal {J}}\) -class, \(J\) , say, and either \(J\) is a subsemigroup, in which case it is congruence-free, or otherwise its principal factor is congruence-free. Given the current knowledge of congruence-free regular semigroups, this result is probably best possible. When specialized to completely semisimple semigroups, however, a complete answer is obtained, one that specializes to that of Yu et al. A similar outcome is obtained for \(\mathrel {\mathcal {L}}\) and \(\mathrel {\mathcal {R}}\) . In the case of \(\mathrel {\mathcal {H}}\) , only the completely semisimple case is fully resolved, again specializing to those of Yu et al.  相似文献

We introduce and characterize two types of interpolating sequences in the unit disc \(\mathbb {D}\) of the complex plane for the class of all functions being the product of two analytic functions in \(\mathbb {D}\) , one bounded and another regular up to the boundary of \(\mathbb {D}\) , concretely in the Lipschitz class, and at least one of them vanishing at some point of \(\overline {\mathbb {D}}\) .  相似文献

Let \({\mathcal {C}}\) be a class of finite groups. We study some sufficient conditions for the pro- \({\mathcal {C}}\) completion of an orientable \(\text{ PD }^3\) -pair over \(\mathbb {Z}\) to be an orientable profinite \(\text{ PD }^3\) -pair over \(\mathbb {F}_p\) . More results are proven for the pro- \(p\) completion of \(\text{ PD }^3\) -pairs.  相似文献

Let \(X\) be a Hermitian complex space of pure dimension with only isolated singularities and \(\pi : M\rightarrow X\) a resolution of singularities. Let \(\Omega \subset \subset X\) be a domain with no singularities in the boundary, \(\Omega ^*=\Omega {\setminus }\!{{\mathrm{Sing}}}X\) and \(\Omega '=\pi ^{-1}(\Omega )\) . We relate \(L^2\) -properties of the \(\overline{\partial }\) and the \(\overline{\partial }\) -Neumann operator on \(\Omega ^*\) to properties of the corresponding operators on \(\Omega '\) (where the situation is classically well understood). Outside some middle degrees, there are compact solution operators for the \(\overline{\partial }\) -equation on \(\Omega ^*\) exactly if there are such operators on the resolution \(\Omega '\) , and the \(\overline{\partial }\) -Neumann operator is compact on \(\Omega ^*\) exactly if it is compact on \(\Omega '\) .  相似文献

We use certain strong Q-reducibilities, and their corresponding strong positive reducibilities, to characterize the hyperimmune sets and the hyperhyperimmune sets: if A is any infinite set then A is hyperimmune (respectively, hyperhyperimmune) if and only if for every infinite subset B of A, one has ${\overline{K}\not\le_{\rm ss} B}$ (respectively, ${\overline{K}\not\le_{\overline{\rm s}} B}$ ): here ${\le_{\overline{\rm s}}}$ is the finite-branch version of s-reducibility, ??ss is the computably bounded version of ${\le_{\overline{\rm s}}}$ , and ${\overline{K}}$ is the complement of the halting set. Restriction to ${\Sigma^0_2}$ sets provides a similar characterization of the ${\Sigma^0_2}$ hyperhyperimmune sets in terms of s-reducibility. We also show that no ${A \geq_{\overline{\rm s}}\overline{K}}$ is hyperhyperimmune. As a consequence, ${\deg_{\rm s}(\overline{K})}$ is hyperhyperimmune-free, showing that the hyperhyperimmune s-degrees are not upwards closed.  相似文献

For a graph G and a set \({\mathcal{F}}\) of connected graphs, G is said be \({\mathcal{F}}\) -free if G does not contain any member of \({\mathcal{F}}\) as an induced subgraph. We let \({\mathcal{G} _{3}(\mathcal{F})}\) denote the set of all 3-connected \({\mathcal{F}}\) -free graphs. This paper is concerned with sets \({\mathcal{F}}\) of connected graphs such that \({\mathcal{F}}\) contains no star, \({|\mathcal{F}|=3}\) and \({\mathcal{G}_{3}(\mathcal{F})}\) is finite. Among other results, we show that for a connected graph T( ≠ K 1) which is not a star, \({\mathcal{G}_{3}(\{K_{4},K_{2,2},T\})}\) is finite if and only if T is a path of order at most 6.  相似文献

Let \(\mathcal{{A}}\) be a Banach algebra and let \(\mathcal{{X}}\) be an introverted closed subspace of \(\mathcal{{A}}^*\) . Here, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for that the dual algebra \(\mathcal{{X}}^*\) of \(\mathcal{{X}}\) or the topological centers \({\mathfrak {Z}}_t^{(1)}(\mathcal{{X}}^{*})\) and \({\mathfrak {Z}}_t^{(2)}(\mathcal{{X}}^{*})\) of \(\mathcal{{X}}^*\) are Banach \(*\) -algebras. We finally apply these results to the Banach space \(L_0^\infty (G)\) of all equivalence classes of essentially bounded functions vanishing at infinity on a locally compact group \(G\) .  相似文献

The purpose of this article is to generalize some results of Vatsal on the special values of Rankin–Selberg L-functions in an anticyclotomic \({\mathbb{Z}_{p}}\) -extension. Let g be a cuspidal Hilbert modular newform of parallel weight \({(2,\ldots,2)}\) and level \({\mathcal{N}}\) over a totally real field F, and let K/F be a totally imaginary quadratic extension of relative discriminant \({\mathcal{D}}\) . We study the l-adic valuation of the special values \({L(g,\chi,\frac{1}{2})}\) as \({\chi}\) varies over the ring class characters of K of \({\mathcal{P}}\) -power conductor, for some fixed prime ideal \({\mathcal{P}}\) . We prove our results under the only assumption that the prime to \({\mathcal{P}}\) part of \({\mathcal{N}}\) is relatively prime to \({\mathcal{D}}\) .  相似文献

Let p 1p 2 ≡ 1 (mod 8) be primes such that \(\left( {\tfrac{{p_1 }} {{p_2 }}} \right) = - 1\) and \(\left( {\tfrac{2} {{a + b}}} \right) = - 1\) , where p 1 p 2 = a 2+b 2. Let \(i = \sqrt { - 1} \) , d = p 1 p 2, \(\Bbbk = \mathbb{Q}(\sqrt {d,} i),\Bbbk _2^{(1)} \) be the Hilbert 2-class field and \(\Bbbk ^{(*)} = \mathbb{Q}(\sqrt {p_1 } ,\sqrt {p_2 } ,i)\) be the genus field of \(\Bbbk \) . The 2-part \(C_{\Bbbk ,2} \) of the class group of \(\Bbbk \) is of type (2, 2, 2), so \(\Bbbk _2^{(1)} \) contains seven unramified quadratic extensions \(\mathbb{K}_j /\Bbbk \) and seven unramified biquadratic extensions \(\mathbb{L}_j /\Bbbk \) . Our goal is to determine the fourteen extensions, the group \(C_{\Bbbk ,2} \) and to study the capitulation problem of the 2-classes of \(\Bbbk \) .  相似文献

Let \({\mathcal {A}}\subseteq {\mathbb {N}}^n\) be a finite set, and \(K\subseteq {\mathbb {R}}^n\) be a compact semialgebraic set. An \({\mathcal {A}}\) -truncated multisequence ( \({\mathcal {A}}\) -tms) is a vector \(y=(y_{\alpha })\) indexed by elements in \({\mathcal {A}}\) . The \({\mathcal {A}}\) -truncated \(K\) -moment problem ( \({\mathcal {A}}\) -TKMP) concerns whether or not a given \({\mathcal {A}}\) -tms \(y\) admits a \(K\) -measure \(\mu \) , i.e., \(\mu \) is a nonnegative Borel measure supported in \(K\) such that \(y_\alpha = \int _K x^\alpha \mathtt {d}\mu \) for all \(\alpha \in {\mathcal {A}}\) . This paper proposes a numerical algorithm for solving \({\mathcal {A}}\) -TKMPs. It aims at finding a flat extension of \(y\) by solving a hierarchy of semidefinite relaxations \(\{(\mathtt {SDR})_k\}_{k=1}^\infty \) for a moment optimization problem, whose objective \(R\) is generated in a certain randomized way. If \(y\) admits no \(K\) -measures and \({\mathbb {R}}[x]_{{\mathcal {A}}}\) is \(K\) -full (there exists \(p \in {\mathbb {R}}[x]_{{\mathcal {A}}}\) that is positive on \(K\) ), then \((\mathtt {SDR})_k\) is infeasible for all \(k\) big enough, which gives a certificate for the nonexistence of representing measures. If \(y\) admits a \(K\) -measure, then for almost all generated \(R\) , this algorithm has the following properties: i) we can asymptotically get a flat extension of \(y\) by solving the hierarchy \(\{(\mathtt {SDR})_k\}_{k=1}^\infty \) ; ii) under a general condition that is almost sufficient and necessary, we can get a flat extension of \(y\) by solving \((\mathtt {SDR})_k\) for some \(k\) ; iii) the obtained flat extensions admit a \(r\) -atomic \(K\) -measure with \(r\le |{\mathcal {A}}|\) . The decomposition problems for completely positive matrices and sums of even powers of real linear forms, and the standard truncated \(K\) -moment problems, are special cases of \({\mathcal {A}}\) -TKMPs. They can be solved numerically by this algorithm.  相似文献

For a given class \({\mathcal{G}}\) of groups, a 3-manifold M is of \({\mathcal{G}}\) -category \({\leq k}\) if it can be covered by k open subsets such that for each path-component W of the subsets the image of its fundamental group \({ \pi_1(W) \rightarrow \pi(M )}\) belongs to \({\mathcal{G}}\) . The smallest number k such that M admits such a covering is the \({\mathcal{G}}\) -category, \({cat_{\mathcal{G}}(M)}\) . If M is closed, it has \({\mathcal{G}}\) -category between 1 and 4. We characterize all closed 3-manifolds of \({\mathcal{G}}\) -category 1, 2, and 3 for various classes \({\mathcal{G}}\) .  相似文献

It is a classical fact that the cotangent bundle \(T^* {\mathcal {M}}\) of a differentiable manifold \({\mathcal {M}}\) enjoys a canonical symplectic form \(\Omega ^*\) . If \(({\mathcal {M}},\mathrm{J} ,g,\omega )\) is a pseudo-Kähler or para-Kähler \(2n\) -dimensional manifold, we prove that the tangent bundle \(T{\mathcal {M}}\) also enjoys a natural pseudo-Kähler or para-Kähler structure \(({\tilde{\hbox {J}}},\tilde{g},\Omega )\) , where \(\Omega \) is the pull-back by \(g\) of \(\Omega ^*\) and \(\tilde{g}\) is a pseudo-Riemannian metric with neutral signature \((2n,2n)\) . We investigate the curvature properties of the pair \(({\tilde{\hbox {J}}},\tilde{g})\) and prove that: \(\tilde{g}\) is scalar-flat, is not Einstein unless \(g\) is flat, has nonpositive (resp. nonnegative) Ricci curvature if and only if \(g\) has nonpositive (resp. nonnegative) Ricci curvature as well, and is locally conformally flat if and only if \(n=1\) and \(g\) has constant curvature, or \(n>2\) and \(g\) is flat. We also check that (i) the holomorphic sectional curvature of \(({\tilde{\hbox {J}}},\tilde{g})\) is not constant unless \(g\) is flat, and (ii) in \(n=1\) case, that \(\tilde{g}\) is never anti-self-dual, unless conformally flat.  相似文献

Let \({\mathcal{M}}\) be a fine structural mouse. Let \({\mathbb{D}}\) be a fully backgrounded \({L[\mathbb{E}]}\) -construction computed inside an iterable coarse premouse S. We describe a process comparing \({\mathcal{M}}\) with \({\mathbb{D}}\) , through forming iteration trees on \({\mathcal{M}}\) and on S. We then prove that this process succeeds.  相似文献

For any positive integer r, denote by \({\mathcal{P}_{r}}\) the set of all integers \({\gamma \in \mathbb{Z}}\) having at most r prime divisors. We show that \({C_{\mathcal{P}_{r}}(\mathbb{T})}\) , the space of all continuous functions on the circle \({\mathbb{T}}\) whose Fourier spectrum lies in \({\mathcal{P}_{r}}\) , contains a complemented copy of \({\ell^{1}}\) . In particular, \({C_{\mathcal{P}_{r}}(\mathbb{T})}\) is not isomorphic to \({C(\mathbb{T})}\) , nor to the disc algebra \({A(\mathbb{D})}\) . A similar result holds in the L 1 setting.  相似文献

Let \({\mathbb{D}}\) be an arbitrary division ring and \({{\rm M_{n}}(\mathbb{D})}\) be the set of all n × n matrices over \({\mathbb{D}}\) . We define the rank subtractivity or minus partial order on \({{\rm M_{n}}(\mathbb{D})}\) as defined on \({{\rm M_{n}}(\mathbb{C})}\) , i.e., \({A \leqslant B}\) iff rank(B) = rank(A) + rank(B?A). We describe the structure of maps Φ on \({{\rm M_{n}}(\mathbb{D})}\) such that \({A\leqslant B}\) iff \({\Phi(A)\leqslant \Phi(B) (A, B\in {\rm M_{n}}(\mathbb{D}) )}\) .  相似文献

Fix \(b\in \mathbb R _+\) and \(p\in (1,\infty )\) . Let \(\phi \) be a positive measurable function on \(I_b:=(0,b)\) . Define the Lorentz Gamma norm, \(\rho _{p,\phi }\) , at the measurable function \(f:\mathbb R _+\rightarrow \mathbb R _+\) by \(\rho _{{}_{p,\phi }}(f):=\left[ \int _0^bf^{**}(t)^p\phi (t)\,dt\right] ^{\frac{1}{p}}\) , in which \(f^{**}(t):=t^{-1}\int _0^tf^{*}(s)\,ds\) , where \(f^*(t):=\mu _f^{-1}(t)\) , with \(\mu _f(s):=|\{ x\in I_b: |f(x)|>s\}|\) . Our aim in this paper is to study the rearrangement-invariant space determined by \(\rho _{{}_{p,\phi }}\) . In particular, we determine its Köthe dual and its Boyd indices. Using the latter a sufficient condition is given for a Caldéron–Zygmund operator to map such a space into itself.  相似文献
