We studyT-odd triple momentum correlations in exclusive semileptonic -decays into three pseudoscalar mesons. We define asymmetry ratios that measure theseT-odd correlations and show how to separate the unitarity contribution from the trueCP-violating contributions. TheCP-violating contributions to the asymmetry ratios would have to come from new non-Standard Model sources as theCP-violating Standard Model contributions to the asymmetry ratios are zero. We discuss two extensions of the Standard Model that give rise to nonvanishingCP-violating triple momentum correlations, namely a left-right symmetric model and a multi Higgs boson model. Numerical results on triple momentum correlations are given for the three-pseudoscalar meson final statesK

We calculate the D→η transition form factor in light-cone sum rules by taking improved current correlators to avoid the pollution from the twist-3 wave function. We get consistent results of the D<'+> →η<'(')> l<'+>ν<,l> decays with the experimental data. By comparing the difference between the results of the branching ratios of D+ →η<'(')>l<'+>ν<,l> from a two-pole parameterization model and from a BZ parameterization model, we find that the two-pole model and the BZ model are comparably believable. One way is supposed for the determination of the η-η' mixing angle from the dependence of the branching ratios of D<'+> →η<'(')>l<'+>ν<,l> decays on the η-η' mixing angle. 相似文献

Using the helicity formalism, we calculate the combined angular distribution functions of the polarized gamma photons and electron in the triple cascade process $\bar{\mathrm{p}}\mathrm{p}\to{}^{3}\mathrm{D}_{\mathrm{2}}\to\chi_{\mathrm{\mathrm{{J}}}}+\gamma_{\mathrm{1}}\to(\psi +\gamma_{\mathrm{2}})+\gamma_{\mathrm{1}}\to(\mathrm{e}^{+}+\mathrm{e}^{-})+\gamma_{\mathrm{1}}+\gamma_{\mathrm{2}}\ (\mathrm{{J}}=0,1,2)$ , when $\bar{\mathrm{p}}$ and p are unpolarized. We also present the partially integrated angular distribution functions in different cases. Our results show that by measuring the two-particle angular distribution of γ 1 and γ 2 and that of γ 2 and e? with the polarization of either one of the two particles, one can determine the relative magnitudes as well as the relative phases of all the helicity amplitudes in the two radiative decay processes 3D2→χ J+γ 1 and χ J→ψ+γ 2. 相似文献

We report an indirect search for nonstandard model physics using the flavor-changing neutral current decays B→K(*)μ(+)μ(-). We reconstruct the decays and measure their angular distributions, as a function of q(2)=M(μμ)(2)c(2), where M(μμ) is the dimuon mass, in ppˉ collisions at √s=1.96 TeV using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.8 fb(-1). The transverse polarization asymmetry A(T)(2) and the time-reversal-odd charge-and-parity asymmetry A(im) are measured for the first time, together with the K* longitudinal polarization fraction F(L) and the muon forward-backward asymmetry A(FB) for the decays B(0)→K(*0)μ(+)μ(-) and B(+)→K(*+)μ(+)μ(-). The B→K*μ(+)μ(-) forward-backward asymmetry in the most sensitive kinematic regime, 1≤q(2)<6 GeV(2)/c(2), is measured to be A(FB)=0.29(-0.23)(+0.20)(stat)±0.07(syst), the most precise result to date. No deviations from the standard model predictions are observed. 相似文献

We analyze the effects of hyperfine mixing in b → c semileptonic decays of doubly heavy baryons. We qualitatively confirm the results by W.Roberts and M.Pervin in Int.J.Mod.Phys.A,2009,24: 2401– 2413,finding that mixing has a great impact on those transitions. However, predictions without mixing differ by a factor of 2 and this discrepancy translates to the mixed case where large differences in decay widths are observed between the two calculations. 相似文献

We calculate distributions for τ+τ?γ production at LEP 1 taking into account a potentially existing anomalous magnetic moment a τ of the τ lepton. The existing upper limits for ¦a τ¦ are known from the dependence of the decay Z 0 → τ+τ?γ on a τ 2 and are of the order of (1–5)%. We show that such limits are also sensitive to linear terms in a τ, which are of equal importance at ¦a τ¦ ~ (1–2)% and dominate below this value. Contributions from an electric dipole moment dτ do not interfere with the electromagnetic vertex or with the anomalous magnetic moment. Appropriate formulae are derived. 相似文献

The angular distributions of muons from Υ(1S,2S,3S) → μ+ μ- decays are measured using data from pp collisions at sqrt[s] = 1.96 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.7 fb(-1) and collected with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. This analysis is the first to report the full angular distributions as functions of transverse momentum p(T) for Υ mesons in both the Collins-Soper and s-channel helicity frames. This is also the first measurement of the spin alignment of Υ(3S) mesons. Within the kinematic range of Υ rapidity |y|<0.6 and p(T) up to 40 GeV/c, the angular distributions are found to be nearly isotropic. 相似文献

The final states for the processb??sy have been extensively discussed in the literature. Similarly-detailed analyses for the caseb??s gluon have not been performed. Generally this process is searched for in 2-body decays such as B0??K+ ?? ?. We present simple arguments to suggest that most of the time the quark-level process will give rise to final states with rather high multiplicities. Comments are made about the applicability of these results tob??d gluon and hadronicb??u decays. 相似文献

The energy and angular distributions of deuterons from the D + D → p + n + d reaction are experimentally and theoretically studied. The experiment is conducted on the U-240 cyclotron at the Institute for Nuclear Research in an extracted beam of deuterons with energy E D = 36.9 MeV. A theoretical analysis has been performed using the microscopic diffraction nuclear model, within which the final-state interaction is considered and simple expressions for internal wave functions and approximations that include quasibinary mechanisms are employed. 相似文献

Knowing the mass of the b -quark is essential to the study of the structure and decays of B -mesons as well as to future tests of the Higgs mechanism of mass generation. We present recent preliminary measurements
of the b -quark mass and related nonperturbative parameters from moments of kinematic distributions in charmed and charmless semileptonic
B -meson decays. Their determination from charmless semileptonic B -meson decays is the first measurement in this mode. The data were collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy

While the standard model is the most successful theory to describe all the interactions and constituents of elementary particle physics,it has been constantly scrutinized for over four decades.Weak decays of charm quarks can be used to measure the coupling strength between quarks in different families and serve as an ideal probe for CP violation. As the lowest charm-strange baryons with three different flavors,Ξ;baryons(composed of csu or csd)have been extensively studied in experiments. In this study,we use state-of-the-art lattice QCD techniques to generate 2+1 clover fermion ensembles with two lattice spacings,a=(0.108,0.080 fm). Then,we present the first ab-initio lattice QCD calculation of the Ξ;→Ξ form factors. Our theoretical results for the Ξc→Ξl;v;decay widths are consistent with and approximately two times more precise than the latest measurements by the ALICE and Belle collaborations.Based on the latest experimental measurements,we independently obtain the quark-mixing matrix element |V;|,which is in good agreement with results from other theoretical approaches. 相似文献

During the past few years, signs of lepton flavor universality(LFU)violation have been observed in b→cτ■ and b→sl+l-transitions.Recently,the D* and τ polarization fractions P_L~D* and P_L~τ in B→D*τ■decay were likewise measured by the Belle collaboration.Motivated by these intriguing results,we revisit the RD(*)and RK(*) anomalies in a scalar leptoquark(LQ)model, where two scalar LQs,one of which is a S U(2)L singlet and the other a S U(2)L triplet, are introduced simultaneously. We consider five b→ cτ■ mediated decays,B→D(*)τ■,B_c→ηcτ■,Bc→J/ψt■,and ∧_b→∧_cτ■,and focus on the LQ effects on the q~2 distributions of the branching fractions,LFU ratios, and various angular observables in these decays.Under the combined constraints of the available data on RD(*),RJ/ψ,P_L~τ(D*),and pLD*,we perform scans for the LQ couplings and make predictions for a number of observables.Numerically it is found that both the differential branching fractions and LFU ratios are largely enhanced by the LQ effects, with the latter expected to provide testable signatures at the SuperKEKB and High-Luminosity LHC experiments. 相似文献

The angular correlation of two monochromatic photons produced ine
+e– collision (annihilation), defined as the average of the cosine of the angle of separation between their outgoing momenta, is studied completely in momentum space to lowest order in the fine structure constant in QED. This is done from the expression of thee
+e–-momentum-spin,-polarization-averaged conditional probability density for the angular distributions of the photons, given that the process has occurred. Although the density is in general nonvanishing for less than as well as greater than/2, the angular correlation is found to be strictly negative for all energies, indicating that the photons tend to travel in opposing directions in a statistical sense. The back-to-back motion, however, is very quickly unfavored as we move to higher energies. 相似文献
