Let K be the familiar class of normalized convex functions in the unit disk. Keogh and Merkes proved the well-known result that max?fK|a3λa22|max?{1/3,|λ1|},λ?, and the estimate is sharp for each λ. We investigate the corresponding problem for a subclass of quasi-convex mappings of type B defined on the unit ball in a complex Banach space or on the unit polydisk in ?n. The proofs of these results use some restrictive assumptions, which in the case of one complex variable are automatically satisfied.  相似文献

In this note, we point out and correct some errors in Ref. 1. Another type of pointwise well-posedness and strong pointwise well-posedness of vector optimization problems is introduced. Sufficient conditions to guarantee this type of well-posedness are provided for perturbed vector optimization problems in connection with the vector-valued Ekeland variational principle.  相似文献

We consider a multicriteria combinatorial problem with majority optimality principle whose particular criteria are of the form MINSUM, MINMAX, and MINMIN. We obtain a lower attainable bound for the radius of quasistability of such a problem in the case of the Chebyshev norm on the space of perturbing parameters of the vector criterion. We give sufficient conditions for the quasistability of the problem; these are also necessary in the case of linear special criteria.  相似文献

For estimation algorithms, the problem of building correct algorithms by modifying weights of features and weights of objects is examined. Criteria for the possibility to build a correct algorithm are obtained for certain cases. Conditions of the possibility to build a correct algorithm are obtained in terms of solving a constrained optimization problem. An optimization method is proposed. Under these conditions, the proposed method significantly reduces the computational complexity of synthesizing a correct algorithm.  相似文献

A general primal—dual algorithm for linearly constrained optimization problems is formulated in which the dual variables are updated by a dual algorithmic operator. Convergence is proved under the assumption that the dual algorithmic operator implies asymptotic feasibility of the primal iterates with respect to the linear constraints. A general result relating the minimal values of an infinite sequence of constrained problems to the minimal value of a limiting problem (constrained by the limit of the sequence of constraints sets) is established and invoked. The applicability of the general theory is demonstrated by analyzing a specific dual algorithmic operator. This leads to the MART algorithm for constrained entropy maximization used in image reconstruction from projections.  相似文献

The asymptotic expansion for small |t| of the trace of the wave kernel ∧↑μ(t) =∑v=1^∞exp(-it μv^1/2), where i= √-1 and {μv}v=1^∞ are the eigenvalues of the negative Laplacian -△=-∑β=1^2(δ/δx^β)^2 in the (x^1, x^2)-plane, is studied for a multi-connected vibrating membrane Ω in R^2 surrounded by simply connected bounded domains Ωj with smooth boundaries δΩj(j=1,...,n), where a finite number of piecewise smooth Robin boundary conditions on the piecewise smooth components Гi(i=1 κj-1,...,κj) of the boundaries δΩj are considered, such that δΩj=∪i=1 κj-1^κj Гi and κ0=0. The basic problem is to extract information on the geometry of Ω using the wave equation approach. Some geometric quantities of Ω (e.g. the area of Ω, the total lengths of its boundary, the curvature of its boundary, the number of the holes of Ω, etc.) are determined from the asymptotic expansion of the trace of the wave kernel ∧↑μ(t) for small |t|.  相似文献

Mixed finite element methods are applied to a fourth order reaction diffusion equation with different types of boundary conditions. Some a priori bounds are established with the help of Lyapunov functional. The semidiscrete schemes are derived using C0‐piecewise linear finite elements in spatial direction and error estimates are obtained. The semidiscrete problem is then discretized in the temporal direction using backward Euler method and the wellposedness of the completely discrete scheme is discussed. Finally, a priori error estimates are established. While deriving a priori error estimates, Gronwall's lemma is applied and the constants involved in the error bounds do not depend exponentially on $\frac{1}{\gamma}$, where γ is a parameter appeared in the fourth order derivative. © 2011Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
