A Weak Property β Equals Reflexivity for a Banach Space

We introduce a weak property () in Aerms of the De Blasi measure of weak noncompactness and prove that this property characterizes the reflexivity.     

Korovkin-type approximation in spaces of vector-valued and set-valued functions

We consider some Korovkin-type approximation results for sequences of linear continuous operators in spaces of vector-valued and set-valued continuous functions without assuming the existence of the limit operator. Even in spaces of real continuous functions, where similar results have already been established, we replace the positivity assumption with a weaker condition. We also give some quantitative estimate of the convergence and some applications where previous results cannot be applied.

Numerical solution of volterra functional integral equation by using cubic B‐spline scaling functions

In this article, we consider a class of nonlinear functional integral equations which has rather general form and contains a lot of particular cases such as functional equations and nonlinear integral equations of Volterra type. We use a combination of a fixed point method and cubic semiorthogonal B‐spline scaling functions to solve the integral equation numerically. We provide an error analysis for the method which shows that the approximate solution converges to the exact solution. Some numerical results for several test problems are given to confirm the accuracy and the ease of implementation of the method. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Existence of Nondecreasing and Continuous Solutions of an Integral Equation with Linear Modification of the Argument

We use a technique associated with measures of noncompactness to prove the existence of nondecreasing solutions to an integral equation with linear modification of the argument in the space C[0, 1]. In the last thirty years there has been a great deal of work in the field of differential equations with a modified argument. A special class is represented by the differential equation with affine modification of the argument which can be delay differential equations or differential equations with linear modifications of the argument. In this case we study the following integral equation x（t） = a（t） ＋ （Tx）（t） ∫0^σ（t） u（t, s, x（s）, x（λs））ds 0 〈 λ 〈 1 which can be considered in connection with the following Cauchy problem x＇（t） = u（t, s, x（t）, x（λt））, t ∈ [0, 1], 0 〈 λ 〈 1 x（0） = u0.     

Lamperti-type operators on a weighted space of continuous functions

For a locally convex Hausdorff topological vector space and for a system of weights vanishing at infinity on a locally compact Hausdorff space , let be the weighted space of -valued continuous functions on with the locally convex topology derived from the seminorms which are weighted analogues of the supremum norm. A characterization of the orthogonality preserving (Lamperti-type) operators on is presented in this paper.

弱伪连续向量值函数及其在多目标博弈中的应用

基于对弱伪连续实值函数的研究, 提出向量值函数关于锥的弱伪连续定义, 并建立了向量值函数$R_+^k$弱伪连续与实值函数弱伪连续的对应关系. 作为弱伪连续向量值函数的应用, 给出了弱伪连续下的向量值Ky Fan点的存在性定理, 并通过该定理证明了伪连续向量值支付下的多目标博弈弱Pareto-Nash平衡点的存在性定理.     

向量值正交小波的构造与向量值小波包的特征

The notion of vector-valued multiresolution analysis is introduced and the concept of orthogonal vector-valued wavelets with 3-scale is proposed.A necessary and sufficient condition on the existence of orthogonal vector-valued wavelets is given by means of paraunitary vector filter bank theory.An algorithm for constructing a class of compactly supported orthogonal vector-valued wavelets is presented.Their characteristics is discussed by virtue of operator theory,time-frequency method.Moreover,it is shown how to design various orthonormal bases of space L2(R,Cn) from these wavelet packets.

Measure of Noncompactness of Linear Operators between Spaces of Sequences That Are (N,q) Summable or Bounded

In this paper we investigate linear operators between arbitrary BK spaces X and spaces Y of sequences that are summable or bounded. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for infinite matrices A to map X into Y. Further, the Hausdorff measure of noncompactness is applied to give necessary and sufficient conditions for A to be a compact operator.
