In this paper, we investigate a generalized two-dimensional Lotka-Volterra system which has a center. We give an inductive algorithm to compute polynomials of periodic coefficients, find structures of solutions for systems of algebraic equation corresponding to isochronous centers and weak centers of finite order, and derive conditions on parameters under which the considered equilibrium is an isochronous center or a weak center of finite order. We show that with appropriate perturbations at most two critical periods bifurcate from the center.  相似文献

This paper considers weak Galerkin finite element approximations on polygonal/polyhedral meshes for a quasistatic Maxwell viscoelastic model. The spatial discretization uses piecewise polynomials of degree $k (k ≥ 1)$ for the stress approximation, degree $k+1$ for the velocity approximation, and degree $k$ for the numerical trace of velocity on the inter-element boundaries. The temporal discretization in the fully discrete method adopts a backward Euler difference scheme. We show the existence and uniqueness of the semi-discrete and fully discrete solutions, and derive optimal a priori error estimates. Numerical examples are provided to support the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

Continuing Chicone and Jacobs’ work for planar Hamiltonian systems of Newton’s type, in this paper we study the local bifurcation of critical periods near a nondegenerate center of the cubic Liénard equation with cubic damping and prove that at most 2 local critical periods can be produced from either a weak center of finite order or the linear isochronous center and that at most 1 local critical period can be produced from nonlinear isochronous centers.  相似文献

We propose a new family of finite element methods for the Naghdi shell model, one method associated with each nonnegative integer . The methods are based on a nonstandard mixed formulation, and the th method employs triangular Lagrange finite elements of degree augmented by bubble functions of degree for both the displacement and rotation variables, and discontinuous piecewise polynomials of degree for the shear and membrane stresses. This method can be implemented in terms of the displacement and rotation variables alone, as the minimization of an altered energy functional over the space mentioned. The alteration consists of the introduction of a weighted local projection into part, but not all, of the shear and membrane energy terms of the usual Naghdi energy. The relative error in the method, measured in a norm which combines the norm of the displacement and rotation fields and an appropriate norm of the shear and membrane stress fields, converges to zero with order uniformly with respect to the shell thickness for smooth solutions, at least under the assumption that certain geometrical coefficients in the Nagdhi model are replaced by piecewise constants.

Let k, s be integers with k ≥ 2 and s ≥ 4, G be a graph of order n sufficiently large compared with s and k. We show that if σ2(G) ≥ n + k- 1, then for any set of k independent vertices v1,..., vk, G has k vertex-disjoint cycles C1,..., Ck such that |Ci| ≤ s and vi ∈ V(Ci) for all 1 ≤ i ≤ k.

In this paper, we consider the limit cycles of a class of polynomial differential systems of the form $\dot{x}=-y, \hspace{0.2cm} \dot{y}=x-f(x)-g(x)y-h(x)y^{2}-l(x)y^{3},$ where $f(x)=\epsilon f_{1}(x)+\epsilon^{2}f_{2}(x),$ $g(x)=\epsilon g_{1}(x)+\epsilon^{2}g_{2}(x),$ $h(x)=\epsilon h_{1}(x)+\epsilon^{2}h_{2}(x)$ and $l(x)=\epsilon l_{1}(x)+\epsilon^{2}l_{2}(x)$ where $f_{k}(x),$ $g_{k}(x),$ $h_{k}(x)$ and $l_{k}(x)$ have degree $n_{1},$ $n_{2},$ $n_{3}$ and $n_{4},$ respectively for each $k=1,2,$ and $\varepsilon$ is a small parameter. We obtain the maximum number of limit cycles that bifurcate from the periodic orbits of the linear center $\dot{x}=-y,$ $\dot{y}=x$ using the averaging theory of first and second order.  相似文献

The second order elliptic equation, which is also know as the diffusion-convection equation, is of great interest in many branches of physics and industry. In this paper, we use the weak Galerkin finite element method to study the general second order elliptic equation. A weak Galerkin finite element method is proposed and analyzed. This scheme features piecewise polynomials of degree $k\geq 1$ on each element and piecewise polynomials of degree $k-1\geq 0$ on each edge or face of the element. Error estimates of optimal order of convergence rate are established in both discrete $H^1$ and standard $L^2$ norm. The paper also presents some numerical experiments to verify the efficiency of the method.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the bifurcation of limit cycles for system $\dot{x}=-y(x^2+a^2)^m,~\dot{y}=x(x^2+a^2)^m$ under perturbations of polynomials with degree n, where $a\neq0$, $m\in \mathbb{N}$. By using the averaging method of first order, we bound the number of limit cycles that can bifurcate from periodic orbits of the center of the unperturbed system. The design of mixed finite element methods in linear elasticity with symmetric stress approximations has been a longstanding open problem until Arnold and Winther designed the first family of mixed finite elements where the discrete stress space is the space of $H(div, Ω\;\mathbb{S}) — P_{k+1}$ tensors whose divergence is a $P_{k-1}$ polynomial on each triangle for $k$ ≥ 2. Such a two dimensional family was extended, by Arnold, Awanou and Winther, to a three dimensional family of mixed elements where the discrete stress space is the space of $H(div, Ω\;\mathbb{S}) — P_{k+2}$ tensors, whose divergence is a $P_{k-1}$ polynomial on each tetrahedron for $k$ ≥ 2. In this paper, we are able to construct, in a unified fashion, mixed finite element methods with symmetric stress approximations on an arbitrary simplex in $\mathbb{R}^n$ for any space dimension. On the contrary, the discrete stress space here is the space of $H(div, Ω\;\mathbb{S}) — P_k$ tensors, and the discrete displacement space here is the space of $L²(Ω ; \mathbb{R}^n) — P_{k-1}$ vectors for $k ≥ n$+1. These finite element spaces are defined with respect to an arbitrary simplicial triangulation of the domain, and can be regarded as extensions to any dimension of those in two and three dimensions by Hu and Zhang.  相似文献

本文针对Brinkman方程引入了一种修正弱Galerkin(MWG)有限元方法.我们通过具有两个离散弱梯度算子的变分形式来逼近模型. 在MWG方法中, 分别用次数为$k$和$k-1$的不连续分段多项式来近似速度函数$u$和压力函数$p$. MWG方法的主要思想是用内部函数的平均值代替边界函数. 因此, 与WG方法相比, MWG方法在不降低准确性的同时, 具有更少的自由度, 对于任意次数不超过$k-1$ 的多项式,MWG方法均可以满足稳定性条件. MWG 方法具有高度的灵活性, 它允许在具有一定形状正则性的任意多边形或多面体上使用不连续函数. 针对$H^1$和$L^22$范数下的速度和压力近似解, 建立了最优阶误差估计. 数值算例表明了该方法的准确性, 收敛性和稳定性.  相似文献
