Sub-manifold and traveling wave solutions of Ito's 5th-order mKdV equation

In this paper, we study Ito''s 5th-order mKdV equation with the aid of symbolic computation system and by qualitative analysis of planar dynamical systems. We show that the corresponding higher-order ordinary differential equation of Ito''s 5th-order mKdV equation, for some particular values of the parameter, possesses some sub-manifolds defined by planar dynamical systems. Some solitary wave solutions, kink and periodic wave solutions of the Ito''s 5th-order mKdV equation for these particular values of the parameter are obtained by studying the bifurcation and solutions of the corresponding planar dynamical systems.     

三调和三角B\'ezier曲面设计

偏微分方程曲面设计,是由给定边界条件出发构造满足偏微分方程的曲面.本文基于三调和方程,提出三类边界条件,分别通过求解线性方程组,给出三调和三角形B\''ezier曲面的设计方法.证明了在这些边界条件下,生成曲面的唯一性,并分别给出具体曲面设计算法.通过实例验证了本文结论的有效性,并对三种边界条件进行对比分析.     

Effective construction of Poincar\'e--Bendixson regions

This paper deals with the problem of location and existence of limit cycles for real planar polynomial differential systems. We provide a method to construct Poincar\''e--Bendixson regions by using transversal curves, that enables us to prove the existence of a limit cycle that has been numerically detected. We apply our results to several known systems, like the Brusselator one or some Li\''{e}nard systems, to prove the existence of the limit cycles and to locate them very precisely in the phase space. Our method, combined with some other classical tools can be applied to obtain sharp bounds for the bifurcation values of a saddle-node bifurcation of limit cycles, as we do for the Rychkov system.     

EXISTENCE OF PERIODIC SOLUTIONS OF A CLASS OF SECOND-ORDER NON-AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS

In this paper, we are concerned with the existence of periodic solutions of second-order non-autonomous systems. By applying the Schauder''s fixed point theorem and Miranda''s theorem, a new existence result of periodic solutions is established.     

Hopf Cyclicity of a Class of Li\'{e}nard-Type Systems

The Hopf cyclicities of some smooth polynomial, rational polynomial and piecewise smooth Li\''{e}nard systems are studied. For two Li\''{e}nard systems with the same damping term and different restoring (or potential) terms, we provide sufficient conditions that the two systems have the same Hopf cyclicity. Then, some examples are given to illustrate the efficiency and applicability of our results.     

On the Main Aspects of the Inverse Conductivity Problem

We consider a nonlinear inverse problem for an elliptic partial differential equation known as the Calder{\''o}n problem or the inverse conductivity problem. Based on several results, we briefly summarize them to motivate this research field. We give a general view of the problem by reviewing the available results for $C^2$ conductivities. After reducing the original problem to the inverse problem for a Schr\"odinger equation, we apply complex geometrical optics solutions to show its uniqueness. After extending the ideas of the uniqueness proof result, we establish a stable dependence between the conductivity and the boundary measurements. By using the Carleman estimate, we discuss the partial data problem, which deals with measurements that are taken only in a part of the boundary.

本文研究了商高数的Jemanowicz猜想的整数解问题.利用初等数论方法,获得了该猜想的两个新结果并给出证明,推广了文献[4–8]的结果.     

Note on Fractional Green's Function

In this paper, we modify some errors on the definition of fractional Green''s function in monograph [5], and give the solution of the inhomogenous equation which satisfies the given inhomogenous initial conditions by fractional Green''s function.     

Painlev\'{e} Analysis and Auto-B\"{a}cklund Transformation for a General Variable Coefficient Burgers Equation with Linear Damping Term

This paper investigates a general variable coefficient (gVC) Burgers equation with linear damping term. We derive the Painlev\''{e} property of the equation under certain constraint condition of the coefficients. Then we obtain an auto-B\"{a}cklund transformation of this equation in terms of the Painlev\''{e} property. Finally, we find a large number of new explicit exact solutions of the equation. Especially, infinite explicit exact singular wave solutions are obtained for the first time. It is worth noting that these singular wave solutions will blow up on some lines or curves in the $(x,t)$ plane. These facts reflect the complexity of the structure of the solution of the gVC Burgers equation with linear damping term. It also reflects the complexity of nonlinear wave propagation in fluid from one aspect.

We establish the existence of positive periodic solutions of the second-order singular coupled systems{x′′+ p_1(t)x′+ q_1(t)x = f_1(t, y(t)) + c_1(t),y′′+ p_2(t)y′+ q_2(t)y = f_2(t, x(t)) + c_2(t),where pi, qi, ci ∈ C(R/T Z; R), i = 1, 2; f_1, f_2 ∈ C(R/T Z ×(0, ∞), R) and may be singular near the zero. The proof relies on Schauder's fixed point theorem and anti-maximum principle.Our main results generalize and improve those available in the literature.     

Fej\'{e}r type inequalities for Harmonically-convex functions with applications

In this paper, a new weighted identity involving harmonically symmetric functions and differentiable functions is established. By using the notion of harmonic symmetricity, harmonic convexity and some auxiliary results, some new Fej\''{e}r type integral inequalities are presented. Applications to special means of positive real numbers are given as well.

本文研究了一般伪黎曼流形中的2-调和类空子流形的有关性质.利用活动标架法和Hopf原理,给出了2-调和子流形是极大的几个充分条件,得到一个Simons型积分不等式并推广了相关结果.     

THE IMPROVED FOURIER SPLITTING METHOD AND DECAY ESTIMATES OF THE GLOBAL SOLUTIONS OF THE CAUCHY PROBLEMS FOR NONLINEAR SYSTEMS OF FLUID DYNAMICS EQUATIONS

Consider the Cauchy problems for an n-dimensional nonlinear system of fluid dynamics equations. The main purpose of this paper is to improve the Fourier splitting method to accomplish the decay estimates with sharp rates of the global weak solutions of the Cauchy problems. We will couple together the elementary uniform energy estimates of the global weak solutions and a well known Gronwall''s inequality to improve the Fourier splitting method. This method was initiated by Maria Schonbek in the 1980''s to study the optimal long time asymptotic behaviours of the global weak solutions of the nonlinear system of fluid dynamics equations. As applications, the decay estimates with sharp rates of the global weak solutions of the Cauchy problems for $n$-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations, for the $n$-dimensional magnetohydrodynamics equations and for many other very interesting nonlinear evolution equations with dissipations can be established.

A NEW CLASS OF SOLUTIONS OF VACUUM EINSTEIN'S FIELD EQUATIONS WITH COSMOLOGICAL CONSTANT

In this paper, a new class of solutions of the vacuum Einstein''s field equations with cosmological constant is obtained. This class of solutions possesses the naked physical singularity. The norm of the Riemann curvature tensor of this class of solutions takes infinity at some points and the solutions do not have any event horizon around the singularity.     

Codiagonalization of Matrices and Existence of Multiple Homoclinic Solutions

The purpose of this paper is twofold. First, we use Lagrange''s method and the generalized eigenvalue problem to study systems of two quadratic equations. We find exact conditions so the system can be codiagonalized and can have up to $4$ solutions. Second, we use this result to study homoclinic bifurcations for a periodically perturbed system. The homoclinic bifurcation is determined by $3$ bifurcation equations. To the lowest order, they are $3$ quadratic equations, which can be simplified by the codiagonalization of quadratic forms. We find that up to $4$ transverse homoclinic orbits can be created near the degenerate homoclinic orbit.

The author investigates the relationships of some potential objects for a right Markov process and the same objects for the Girsanov transformed process induced byα-excessive function including Revuz measures, energy functionals, capacities and Lévy systems in this paper.     

Global stability of periodic solutions of predator-prey system with Holling type III functional response

This paper studied some properties of a predator-prey system with Holling type III functional response. Based on Mawhin''s Continuation Theorem, some sufficient conditions for the existence of periodic solutions are obtained. Moreover, the global stability of the periodic solution is built with the help of a suitable Lyapunov function.
