In this paper, we study Ito''s 5th-order mKdV equation with the aid of symbolic computation system and by qualitative analysis of planar dynamical systems. We show that the corresponding higher-order ordinary differential equation of Ito''s 5th-order mKdV equation, for some particular values of the parameter, possesses some sub-manifolds defined by planar dynamical systems. Some solitary wave solutions, kink and periodic wave solutions of the Ito''s 5th-order mKdV equation for these particular values of the parameter are obtained by studying the bifurcation and solutions of the corresponding planar dynamical systems. 相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of location and existence of limit cycles for real planar polynomial differential systems. We provide a method to construct Poincar\''e--Bendixson regions by using transversal curves, that enables us to prove the existence of a limit cycle that has been numerically detected. We apply our results to several known systems, like the Brusselator one or some Li\''{e}nard systems, to prove the existence of the limit cycles and to locate them very precisely in the phase space. Our method, combined with some other classical tools can be applied to obtain sharp bounds for the bifurcation values of a saddle-node bifurcation of limit cycles, as we do for the Rychkov system. 相似文献

The Hopf cyclicities of some smooth polynomial, rational polynomial and piecewise smooth Li\''{e}nard systems are studied. For two Li\''{e}nard systems with the same damping term and different restoring (or potential) terms, we provide sufficient conditions that the two systems have the same Hopf cyclicity. We consider a nonlinear inverse problem for an elliptic partial differential equation known as the Calder{\''o}n problem or the inverse conductivity problem. Based on several results, we briefly summarize them to motivate this research field. We give a general view of the problem by reviewing the available results for $C^2$ conductivities. After reducing the original problem to the inverse problem for a Schr\"odinger equation, we apply complex geometrical optics solutions to show its uniqueness. After extending the ideas of the uniqueness proof result, we establish a stable dependence between the conductivity and the boundary measurements. By using the Carleman estimate, we discuss the partial data problem, which deals with measurements that are taken only in a part of the boundary. 相似文献

This paper investigates a general variable coefficient (gVC) Burgers equation with linear damping term. We derive the Painlev\''{e} property of the equation under certain constraint condition of the coefficients. Then we obtain an auto-B\"{a}cklund transformation of this equation in terms of the Painlev\''{e} property. Finally, we find a large number of new explicit exact solutions of the equation. Especially, infinite explicit exact singular wave solutions are obtained for the first time. It is worth noting that these singular wave solutions will blow up on some lines or curves in the $(x,t)$ plane. These facts reflect the complexity of the structure of the solution of the gVC Burgers equation with linear damping term. It also reflects the complexity of nonlinear wave propagation in fluid from one aspect. 相似文献

Consider the Cauchy problems for an n-dimensional nonlinear system of fluid dynamics equations. The main purpose of this paper is to improve the Fourier splitting method to accomplish the decay estimates with sharp rates of the global weak solutions of the Cauchy problems. We will couple together the elementary uniform energy estimates of the global weak solutions and a well known Gronwall''s inequality to improve the Fourier splitting method. This method was initiated by Maria Schonbek in the 1980''s to study
the optimal long time asymptotic behaviours of the global weak solutions of the nonlinear system of fluid dynamics equations. As applications, the decay estimates with sharp rates of the global weak solutions of the Cauchy problems for $n$-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations, for the $n$-dimensional magnetohydrodynamics equations

In this paper, a new class of solutions of the vacuum Einstein''s field equations with cosmological constant is obtained. This class of solutions possesses the naked physical singularity. The purpose of this paper is twofold. First, we use Lagrange''s method and the generalized eigenvalue problem to study systems of two quadratic equations. We find exact conditions so the system can be codiagonalized and can have up to $4$ solutions. Second, we use this result to study homoclinic bifurcations for a periodically perturbed system. The homoclinic bifurcation is determined by $3$ bifurcation equations. To the lowest order, they are $3$ quadratic equations, which can be simplified by the codiagonalization of quadratic forms. We find that up to $4$ transverse homoclinic orbits can be created near the degenerate homoclinic orbit. 相似文献

Based on Mawhin''s Continuation Theorem, some sufficient conditions for the existence of periodic solutions are obtained.
