本文研究4 维系统中一类具有轨道翻转和倾斜翻转的退化异维环分支问题. 通过在未扰异维环的小管状邻域内建立局部活动坐标系, 本文建立Poincaré 映射, 确定分支方程. 由对分支方程的分析,本文讨论在小扰动下, 异宿环、同宿环和周期轨的存在性、不存在性和共存性, 且给出它们的分支曲面以及共存区域, 推广了已有结果.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is twofold. First, we use Lagrange''s method and the generalized eigenvalue problem to study systems of two quadratic equations. We find exact conditions so the system can be codiagonalized and can have up to $4$ solutions. Second, we use this result to study homoclinic bifurcations for a periodically perturbed system. The homoclinic bifurcation is determined by $3$ bifurcation equations. To the lowest order, they are $3$ quadratic equations, which can be simplified by the codiagonalization of quadratic forms. We find that up to $4$ transverse homoclinic orbits can be created near the degenerate homoclinic orbit.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the behavior of the twist near low-order resonances of a periodic orbit or an equilibrium of a Hamiltonian system with two degrees of freedom. Namely, we analyze the case where the Hamiltonian has multiple eigenvalues (the Hamiltonian Hopf bifurcation) or a zero eigenvalue near the equilibrium and the case where the system has a periodic orbit whose multipliers are equal to 1 (the saddle-center bifurcation) or −1 (the period-doubling bifurcation). We show that the twist does not vanish at least in a small neighborhood of the period-doubling bifurcation. For the saddle-center bifurcation and the resonances of the equilibrium under consideration, we prove the existence of a “twistless” torus for sufficiently small values of the bifurcation parameter. An explicit dependence of the energy corresponding to the twistless torus on the bifurcation parameter is derived. Both discrete and distributed delays are considered in a two‐neuron system. We analyze the influence of interaction coefficient and time delay on the Hopf‐pitchfork bifurcation. First, we obtain the codimension‐2 unfolding with original parameters for Hopf‐pitchfork bifurcation by using the center manifold reduction and the normal form method. Next, through analyzing the unfolding structure, we give complete bifurcation diagrams and phase portraits, in which multistability and other dynamical behaviors of the original system are found, such as a stable periodic orbit, the coexistence of two stable nontrivial equilibria, and the coexistence of a stable periodic orbit and two stable equilibria. In addition, the obtained theoretical results are verified by numerical simulations. Finally, we perform the comparisons of the obtained results of Hopf‐pitchfork bifurcation with other Hopf‐fold bifurcation results in some biological neural systems and give the obtained mathematical results corresponding to the physical states of neurons. Summary We show that a one-step method as applied to a dynamical system with a hyperbolic periodic orbit, exhibits an invariant closed curve for sufficiently small step size. This invariant curve converges to the periodic orbit with the order of the method and it inherits the stability of the periodic orbit. The dynamics of the one-step method on the invariant curve can be described by the rotation number for which we derive an asymptotic expression. Our results complement those of [2, 3] where one-step methods were shown to create invariant curves if the dynamical system has a periodic orbit which is stable in either time direction or if the system undergoes a Hopf bifurcation.  相似文献

The paper studies a codimension-4 resonant homoclinic bifurcation with one orbit flip and two inclination flips, where the resonance takes place in the tangent direction of homoclinic orbit.Local active coordinate system is introduced to construct the Poincar′e returning map, and also the associated successor functions. We prove the existence of the saddle-node bifurcation, the perioddoubling bifurcation and the homoclinic-doubling bifurcation, and also locate the corresponding 1-periodic orbit, 1-homoclinic orbit, double periodic orbits and some 2n-homoclinic orbits.  相似文献

Duffing's equation with two external forcing terms have been discussed. The threshold values of chaotic motion under the periodic and quasi-periodic perturbations are obtained by using second-order averaging method and Melnikov's method. Numerical simulations not only show the consistence with the theoretical analysis but also exhibit the interesting bifurcation diagrams and the more new complex dynamical behaviors, including period-n (n=2,3,6,8) orbits, cascades of period-doubling and reverse period doubling bifurcations, quasi-periodic orbit, period windows, bubble from period-one to period-two, onset of chaos, hopping behavior of chaos, transient chaos, chaotic attractors and strange non-chaotic attractor, crisis which depends on the frequencies, amplitudes and damping. In particular, the second frequency plays a very important role for dynamics of the system, and the system can leave chaotic region to periodic motions by adjusting some parameter which can be considered as an control strategy of chaos. The computation of Lyapunov exponents confirm the dynamical behaviors.  相似文献

在参数激励与强迫激励联合作用下具有van der Pol阻尼的非线性振动系统,其动态行为是非常复杂的.本文利用Melnikov方法研究了这类系统的异宿轨道分叉、次谐分叉和混沌.对于各种不同的共振情况,系统将经过无限次奇阶次谐分叉产生Smale马蹄而进入混沌状态.最后我们利用数值计算方法研究了这类系统的混沌运动.所得结果揭示了一些新的现象.  相似文献

The physical pendulum equation with suspension axis vibrations is investigated. By using Melnikov's method, we prove the conditions for the existence of chaos under periodic perturbations. By using second-order averaging method and Melinikov's method, we give the conditions for the existence of chaos in an averaged system under quasi-periodic perturbations for Ω = nω + εv, n = 1 - 4, where ν is not rational to ω. We are not able to prove the existence of chaos for n = 5 - 15, but show the chaotic behavior for n = 5 by numerical simulation. By numerical simulation we check on our theoretical analysis and further exhibit the complex dynamical behavior, including the bifurcation and reverse bifurcation from period-one to period-two orbits; the onset of chaos, the entire chaotic region without periodic windows, chaotic regions with complex periodic windows or with complex quasi-periodic windows; chaotic behaviors suddenly disappearing, or converting to period-one orbit which means that the system can be stabilized to periodic motion by adjusting bifurcation parameters α, δ, f0 and Ω; and the onset of invariant torus or quasi-periodic behaviors, the entire invariant torus region or quasi-periodic region without periodic window, quasi-periodic behaviors or invariant torus behaviors suddenly disappearing or converting to periodic orbit; and the jumping behaviors which including from period- one orbit to anther period-one orbit, from quasi-periodic set to another quasi-periodic set; and the interleaving occurrence of chaotic behaviors and invariant torus behaviors or quasi-periodic behaviors; and the interior crisis; and the symmetry breaking of period-one orbit; and the different nice chaotic attractors. However, we haven't find the cascades of period-doubling bifurcations under the quasi-periodic perturbations and show the differences of dynamical behaviors and technics of research between the periodic perturbations and quasi-periodic perturbations.  相似文献

A high-codimension homoclinic bifurcation is considered with one orbit flip and two inclination flips accompanied by resonant principal eigenvalues. A local active coordinate system in a small neighborhood of homoclinic orbit is introduced. By analysis of the bifurcation equation, the authors obtain the conditions when the original flip homoclinic orbit is kept or broken. The existence and the existence regions of several double periodic orbits and one triple periodic orbit bifurcations are proved. Moreover, the complicated homoclinic-doubling bifurcations are found and expressed approximately.  相似文献

The present paper revisits a three dimensional (3D) autonomous chaotic system with four-wing occurring in the known literature [Nonlinear Dyn (2010) 60(3): 443--457] with the entitle ``A new type of four-wing chaotic attractors in 3-D quadratic autonomous systems'' and is devoted to discussing its complex dynamical behaviors, mainly for its non-isolated equilibria, Hopf bifurcation, heteroclinic orbit and singularly degenerate heteroclinic cycles, etc. Firstly, the detailed distribution of its equilibrium points is formulated. Secondly, the local behaviors of its equilibria, especially the Hopf bifurcation, are studied. Thirdly, its such singular orbits as the heteroclinic orbits and singularly degenerate heteroclinic cycles are exploited. In particular, numerical simulations demonstrate that this system not only has four heteroclinic orbits to the origin and other four symmetry equilibria, but also two different kinds of infinitely many singularly degenerate heteroclinic cycles with the corresponding two-wing and four-wing chaotic attractors nearby.  相似文献

The problem of homoclinic bifurcation is studied for a high dimensional system with nonhyperbolic equilibria. By constructing local coordinate systems near the unperturbed homoclinic orbit, Poincaré maps for the new system are established. Then the persistence of the homoclinic orbit and the bifurcation of the periodic orbit for the system accompanied with pitchfork bifurcation are obtained. Some known results are extended.  相似文献

The Melnikov criterion is used to examine a global homoclinic bifurcation and transition to chaos in the case of a quarter car model excited kinematically by the road surface profile. By analyzing the potential an analytic expression is found for the homoclinic orbit. By introducing an harmonic excitation term and damping as perturbations, the critical Melnikov amplitude of the road surface profile is found, above which the system can vibrate chaotically.  相似文献

The motion of an almost autonomous Hamiltonian system with two degrees of freedom, 2π-periodic in time, is considered. It is assumed that the origin is an equilibrium position of the system, the linearized unperturbed system is stable, and its characteristic exponents ±iωj (j = 1,2) are pure imaginary. In addition, it is assumed that the number 2ω1 is approximately an integer, that is, the system exhibits parametric resonance of the fundamental type. Using Poincaré's theory of periodic motion and KAM-theory, it is shown that 4π-periodic motions of the system exist in a fairly small neighbourhood of the origin, and their bifurcation and stability are investigated. As applications, periodic motions are constructed in cases of parametric resonance of the fundamental type in the following problems: the plane elliptical restricted three-body problem near triangular libration points, and the problem of the motion of a dynamically symmetrical artificial satellite near its cylindrical precession in an elliptical orbit of small eccentricity.  相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of location and existence of limit cycles for real planar polynomial differential systems. We provide a method to construct Poincar\''e--Bendixson regions by using transversal curves, that enables us to prove the existence of a limit cycle that has been numerically detected. We apply our results to several known systems, like the Brusselator one or some Li\''{e}nard systems, to prove the existence of the limit cycles and to locate them very precisely in the phase space. Our method, combined with some other classical tools can be applied to obtain sharp bounds for the bifurcation values of a saddle-node bifurcation of limit cycles, as we do for the Rychkov system.  相似文献

In this paper, the heteroclinic bifurcation problem with real eigenvalues and two inclination-flips is investigated in a four-dimensional reversible system. We perform a detailed study of this case by using the method originally established in the papers “Problems in Homoclinic Bifurcation with Higher Dimensions” and “Bifurcation of Heteroclinic Loops,” and obtain fruitful results, such as the existence and coexistence of R-symmetric homoclinic orbit and R-symmetric heteroclinic loops, R-symmetric homoclinic orbit and R-symmetric periodic orbit. The double R-symmetric homoclinic bifurcation (i.e., two-fold R-symmetric homoclinic bifurcation) for reversible heteroclinic loops is found, and the existence of infinitely many R-symmetric periodic orbits accumulating onto a homoclinic orbit is demonstrated. By analyzing the potential an analytic expression is found for the homoclinic orbit. The road profile excitation including harmonic and random characteristics as well as the damping are treated as perturbations of a Hamiltonian system. The critical Melnikov amplitude of the road surface profile is found, above which the system can vibrate chaotically. This transition is analyzed for different levels of noise and illustrated by numerical simulations.  相似文献

Creep groan of brake systems is a low frequency vibration phenomenon occurring at low speeds which can make passengers feel uncomfortable. This phenomenon is caused by the stick-slip-effect resulting in limit cycle oscillations with frequencies lower than 200 Hz. For the experimental investigation of this problem, an idealized brake test rig is designed concentrating on the investigation of the frictional contact by realizing low damping and small disturbances in the system. Different sensors are utilized in the test rig. Limit cycles and bifurcation effects can be observed in the experimental results. With respect to modeling, a one degree-of-freedom (DOF) model using Coulomb's friction law and a two DOF model using the bristle friction law are considered. In a comparative study of experimental and simulation results, the parameters of both friction laws can be identified from the dynamic experimental results, such as the static and dynamic friction coefficients, contact stiffness and Stribeck velocity.
