A theoretical study of the temperature dependent noise effects of praseodymium-doped fiber amplifiers (PEDFAs) has been examined. The Pr3+-doped ZBLAN fiber amplifier pumped at 1017 nm and Pr3+-doped GeGa-sulfied fiber amplifier pumped at 1028 nm are chosen. The temperature-dependent rate and propagation equation related to four-level system consideration which is based on the population difference among amplification levels has been used. The population difference depends on pump and signal powers, Boltzman factor KB, cross-sections, noise figure (NF) and Pr3+ concentration. The numerical results obtained over the temperature range from −20 °C to + 60 °C are used to present an analytical expression for the signal gain and noise figure effects in PDFAs length and noise figure with input pump power. The amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) has been taken into account. 相似文献

In this paper, we compare the Gain and Noise figure characteristics of physical EDFAs and Compact EDFAs in an optical system consisting of cascade of both the amplifiers. We demonstrate the gain, noise figure variations of a forward pumped EDFA and Compact EDFAs as functions of Er3+ fiber length, injected pump power and up-conversion co-efficient. It is observed that the gain becomes constant when the length of both the amplifiers reaches above 20 m. The comparison shows that the higher gain with flatter output is obtained in case of Compact EDFAs than Physical EDFAs in a system consisting of chain of both the amplifiers. It is further investigated that the agreement between the Compact and Physical EDFA models is good up to 10 m with the no up-conversion co-efficient. Also, the noise figure obtained in case of Physical EDFA is higher than Compact EDFAs when same amplifier length is more than 20 m and then becomes constant for both the amplifiers. 相似文献

基于小型射频线圈的核磁共振检测探头在波谱分析和成像研究中具有广泛的应用,如化学位移波谱分析、磁共振成像和勘探测井等技术领域。但是,由于外加静磁场作用下,自旋体系发生塞曼能级分裂后,高低能态之间的核自旋数量之差很小,普遍存在检测信噪比很低的问题,而且初级磁共振接收信号的质量受所用探头线圈电气参数的影响较大。研究结果表明,在特定的被测样品和接收线圈占空比以及静磁场等条件不变的情况下,检测信噪比与单位电流产生的射频磁场成正比,而与线圈高频电阻的平方根成反比。在永磁0.39Tesla主磁场条件下,研究了趋肤效应影响下小型螺线管线圈几何参数的优化设计方法。理论仿真和实际的测量结果表明,几何参数为线径0.5 mm、直径5.5 mm的10匝微螺线管线圈,在16.9 MHz谐振频率上,相对信噪比取得一个极大值点,对应的Q值约为199.8,与阻抗分析仪测得结果有较好的吻合,验证了该核磁共振检测线圈设计新方法是合理的。本文提出的基于线圈电磁特性的高信噪比检测探头设计方法,可推广到目前的质子密度成像、岩心弛豫谱分析等应用中。 相似文献

采用色抽运噪声和实虚部间关联的量子噪声驱动的单模激光损失模型,运用线性化近似方法计算了周期性信号加性输入时激光系统的输出光强信噪比,发现用信噪比与量子噪声实虚部间关联系数的关系曲线描述的随机共振现象.在抽运噪声自关联为短时关联情况下,当信号振幅增大和频率增快、抽运噪声色关联时间增大时,系统的随机共振加强;而噪声强度的增加会削弱系统的随机共振.在抽运噪声自关联为长时关联情况下,当信号振幅增大和量子噪声强度减弱时,系统的随机共振加强;而信号频率、抽运噪声强度、抽运噪声色关联时间的变化对系统随机共振的影响很小. 相似文献

声光可调谐滤波器(AOTF)成像光谱仪是一种新型高光谱成像系统。针对系统存在的波段间辐射灵敏度差异较大,低照度条件下部分波段信噪较低的问题,引入了电子倍增CCD(EMCCD)作为感光器件。对该原理仪器在普通和电子倍增两种工作模式下的噪声进行了分析,推导了信噪比模型,并利用研制的原理样机进行了实验验证。在此基础上,提出了电子倍增模式下系统动态范围的评价方法,给出了以入瞳光谱辐亮度为判据的工作模式选择方法。结果表明,信噪比模型与实测结果吻合,电子倍增模式的合理选择有效提高了低照度条件下的信噪比,改善波段间辐射灵敏度的非一致性。 相似文献

We present detailed multi-channel experimental characterization of different configurations of single pump hybrid Raman-erbium doped fiber (EDF) amplifiers. The incorporation of an EDF section in a dispersion compensating Raman amplifier is demonstrated to provide superior performance than Raman only system. It is shown that the multi-channel gain spectrum is quite different form the single-channel case. We have also measured the polarization dependent gain (PDG) of the hybrid amplifier configurations and results show that different configurations of hybrid amplifiers have different PDG effects on long-haul optically amplified link. 相似文献

Under small-signal assumption, equivalent noise figure normalized by fiber nonlinearities (NENF) of bi-directionally pumped distributed fiber Raman amplifiers (BiDFRA) is derived. Amplified spontaneous Raman scattering noise and double Rayleigh scattering noise are both included. The relation between NENF and Raman gain, forward Raman gain percentage is investigated under different polarization factor and Rayleigh scattering coefficient. It agrees well with numerical simulation results. Based on the analytical expression, the optical signal-to-nose ratio (OSNR) improvement of hybrid pre-BiDFRA/erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) compared with sole EDFA is studied. It is shown that there is an optimum Raman gain and forward Raman gain percentage to maximize the OSNR improvement. Finally, some guidelines on BiDFRA design are proposed. 相似文献

We present a systematic study of proton linewidths in rigid solids as a function of sample spinning frequency and proton density, with the latter controlled by the ratio of protonated and perdeuterated model compounds. We find that the linewidth correlates more closely with the overall proton density (rho(H)) than the size of local clusters of (1)H spins. At relatively high magic-angle spinning (MAS) rates, the linewidth depends linearly upon the inverse MAS rate. In the limit of infinite spinning rate and/or zero proton concentration, the linewidth extrapolates to a non-zero value, owing to contributions from scalar couplings, chemical shift dispersion, and B(0) field inhomogeneity. The slope of this line depends on the overall concentration of unexchangeable protons in the sample and the spinning rate. At up to 30% protonation levels ( approximately 2 (1)H/100A(3)), proton detection experiments are demonstrated to have a substantial (2- to 3-fold) sensitivity gain over corresponding (13)C-detected experiments. Within this range, the absolute sensitivity increases with protonation level; the optimal compromise between sensitivity and resolution is in the range of 20-30% protonation. We illustrate the use of dilute protons for polarization transfer to and from low-gamma spins within 5A, and to be utilized as both magnetization source and detection spins. The intermediate protonation regime enhances relaxation properties, which we expect will enable new types of (1)H correlation pulse sequences to be implemented with improved resolution and sensitivity. 相似文献

In economically developing countries such as Brazil, India and China, rising levels of noise pollution are associated with the accelerated growth of cities and the increasing circulation of automotive vehicles. This paper presents the results of an acoustic evaluation conducted in areas adjacent to federal highway BR-116, part of which lies within the urban limits of the city of Curitiba in southern Brazil. In situ measurements were taken of the noise levels, from which noise maps were drawn in different stages of the implementation of the road restructuring project called the Green Line. After calibration, a computational model was used to evaluate an operational scenario of the highway in the future. The results of the mappings were compared with reference noise emission values established by municipal legislation. The maps revealed the existence of noise pollution in the urban stretch of the federal highway in all the scenarios [LAeq > 65 dB(A)]. Efforts to control environmental noise in cities are aided by computational models for urban planning. These models are extremely helpful for environmental management and decision-making by public authorities for solutions to potential environmental risks, as is the case of urban noise. 相似文献

为增加动态光谱数据的信噪比,提高预测模型稳定性和预测精度,提出将多次谐波分量计入动态光谱数据频域数据处理的改进方法。对110名志愿者进行临床采集,依据其脉搏波信号质量和谐波分布状况,确定其中60例样本为研究对象。在提取样本动态光谱时,以是否加入谐波分量为标准分成实验组和对照组。分别建立两组动态光谱和人体血红蛋白含量的BP神经网络模型,结果显示实验组预测集相关系数为0.91,远大于对照组预测集相关系数0.80,其余各项指标均有明显改善。实验证明利用谐波分量可提高动态光谱数据信噪比,有利于推动基于动态光谱的无创血液成分检测技术的进一步发展。 相似文献

针对空调压缩机辐射声场的不同场点噪声声品质的差异,采用心理学声品质参量即响度、尖锐度、总感觉噪度,对压缩机辐射声场的不同场点噪声进行声品质客观参量分析,研究压缩机场点噪声声品质客观参量值变化规律。通过特征响度研究各场点噪声响度在频域的分布,并得出压缩机各场点噪声特征响度峰值所在噪声频带。实验结果表明,对于处在压缩机不同方向上的场点,其噪声声品质客观参量值存在明显差异,但其噪声特征响度峰值却处在相同的噪声频带。研究工作为压缩机全方向降噪提供参考依据也为研究压缩机的噪声声品质探索了一种新思路。 相似文献

We present the results of an investigation of optical gain and noise figure for simultaneous multi-channel amplification of an erbium doped fibre amplifier (EDFA) under optimized pump condition. Different pump configurations with varying input signal levels show interesting features on gain flatness. In the experiment, population inversion along the fibre length which determines the gain-spectra and noise characteristics of the amplifier is adjusted through optimized fibre length and injected pump power in order to minimize the gain-tilt at C-band. It is observed that bi-directional pumping manifests the best combination of low noise and high gain of EDFA which are useful as in-line repeaters in WDM network. We obtain 30 ± 1.5 dB intrinsically flat small signal gain from 1538 nm to 1558 nm band of wavelength with noise figure <4 dB for 16-channel simultaneous amplification in a single stage EDFA without gain flattening filter. 相似文献
