A role of the axial-vector mesons, such as K1 and a1, on the emitted-photon spectrum in hot hadronic matter is studied through the channels πρ→a 1→πγ and Kρ→K 1Kγ. Both channels could be dominant over the region lower than E γ∼ 0.5 GeV, while the role of the K1 meson is diminished in the higher E γ region. This study is carried out with an SU L(3) ⊗SU R(3) effective chiral Lagrangian which includes vector and axial-vector mesons systematically and explains well their hadronic and radiative decays simultaneously. The anisotropy of the optical properties of a single crystal of the hexagonal manganite HoMnO3 has been investigated by spectroscopic ellipsometry in the spectral range 0.6–5.0 eV. It has been demonstrated that the optical absorption edge for the polarization Ec is determined by the intense narrow transition O(2p) → Mn(3d) centered at 1.5 eV, whereas this transition for the polarization Ec is strongly suppressed and shifted toward higher energies by 0.2 eV. It has been revealed that, at the temperature T = 293 K, the spectra for both polarizations Ec and Ec exhibit a broad absorption band centered at ∼2.4 eV, which was earlier observed in nonlinear spectra during optical second harmonic generation.  相似文献

The evidence of the change of the complex refractive index function E(m) of carbon and iron nanoparticles as a function of their size was found from two-color time-resolved laser-induced incandescence (TiRe-LII) measurements. Growing carbon particles were observed from acetylene pyrolysis behind a shock wave and iron particles were synthesized by pulse Kr–F excimer laser photo-dissociation of Fe(CO)5. The magnitudes of refractive index function were found through the fitting of two independently measured values of particle heat up temperature, determined by two-color pyrometry and from the known energy of the laser pulse and the E(m) variation. Small carbon particles of about 1–14 nm in diameter had a low value of E(m)∼0.05–0.07, which tends to increase up to a value of 0.2–0.25 during particle growth up to 20 nm. Similar behavior for iron particles resulted in E(m) rise from ∼0.1 for particles 1–3 nm in diameter up to ∼0.2 for particles >12 nm in diameter.  相似文献

This paper reports on a study of the low-temperature conductivity and parameters of the superconducting state, namely, the critical temperature T c and the second critical magnetic field Hc2, in the (Pb0.3Sn0.7)0.95In0.05Te solid solution under hydrostatic pressure P ≤ 9 kbar at T = 4.2 K. The choice of this material has been motivated by the fact that, according to earlier observations, it undergoes a superconducting transition at T c ∼ 2.3 K, i.e., close to the maximum value T c ∼ 2.9 K found for the (Pb z Sn1 − z )0.95In0.05Te solid solutions with a lead content z ∼ 0.15–0.25. It has been demonstrated that an increase in the pressure to P ≤ 9 kbar leads to a bell-shaped dependence T c (P). The observed dependences are assigned to the effect of hydrostatic compression on the band structure of the solid solution and indicate a shift in the position of the Fermi level E F with increasing pressure within the impurity band of the In quasi-local states. In this case, E F passes through a maximum in the density of impurity states at P = 3–5 kbar.  相似文献

The well-known Bragg-Kleeman rule R CSDA = AE has become a pioneer work in radiation physics of charged particles and is still a useful tool to estimate the range R CSDA of approximately monoenergetic protons with initial energy E 0 in a homogeneous medium. The rule is based on the continuous-slowing-down-approximation (CSDA). It results from a generalized (nonrelativistic) Langevin equation and a modification of the phenomenological friction term. The complete integration of this equation provides information about the residual energy E(z) and dE(z)/dz at each position z(0 ≦ zR CSDA). A relativistic extension of the generalized Langevin equation yields the formula R CSDA = A ⋅ (E 0 + E/2Mc 2)p. The initial energy of therapeutic protons satisfies E 0 ≪ 2Mc 2(Mc 2 = 938.276 MeV), which enables us to consider the relativistic contributions as correction terms. Besides this phenomenological starting-point, a complete integration of the Bethe-Bloch equation (BBE) is developed, which also provides the determination of R CSDA, E(z) and dE(z)/dz and uses only those parameters given by the BBE itself (i.e., without further empirical parameters like modification of friction). The results obtained in the context of the aforementioned methods are compared with Monte-Carlo calculations (GEANT4); this Monte-Carlo code is also used with regard to further topics such as lateral scatter, nuclear interactions, and buildup effects. In the framework of the CSDA, the energy transfer from protons to environmental atomic electrons does not account for local fluctuations. Based on statistical quantum mechanics, an analysis of the Gaussian convolution and the Landau-Vavilov distribution function is carried out to describe these fluctuations. The Landau tail is derived as Hermite polynomial corrections of a Gaussian convolution. It is experimentally confirmed that proton Bragg curves with E 0 ≧ 120 MeV show a buildup, which increases with the proton energy. This buildup is explained by a theoretical analysis of impinging proton beamlets. In order to obtain a complete dose calculation model for proton treatment planning, some further aspects have to be accounted for: the decrease of the fluence of the primary protons due to nuclear interactions, the transport of released secondary protons, the dose contribution of heavy recoil nuclei, the inclusion of lateral scatter of the primary and secondary protons based on Molière’s multiple-scatter theory, and the scatter contributions of collimators. This study also presents some results which go beyond proton dose calculation models; namely, the application of the relativistic generalization of the Bragg-Kleeman rule to electrons and, in an appendix, a method to determine inelastic cross-sections of therapeutic protons in media of therapeutic interest.  相似文献

High-quality YBaCuO films are used to sequentially prepare a 10-GHz disk resonator and a planar inductance coil. The Q factor of the planar inductance coil at its resonance frequency (64 MHz) is much higher than the values reported for analogous structures. The measurement results are used to estimate the surface resistance of the films at frequencies of 10 GHz and 64 MHz. The surface resistance measured at 64 MHz is more than fourfold of that calculated from the surface resistance measured at 10 GHz by the dependence R sur ∼ ω2. Our analysis demonstrates that extrinsic factors cannot substantially affect the measurement results; therefore, the deviation from the R sur ∼ ω2 dependence in the megahertz range is determined by the intrinsic properties of the superconducting strip.  相似文献

Deformation-produced deep levels, both of electron and hole traps, have been studied using deep level transient capacitance spectroscopy (DLTS) for an undopedn-type GaAs (HB grown) compressed at 440°C. Concentrations of two grown-in electron trap levels (E c −0.65eV andE c −0.74eV) and one grown-in hole trap level (E v +∼0.4eV) increase with plastic deformation, while that of a grown-in electron trap level (E c −∼0.3eV) decreases in an early stage of deformation. While no new peak appeared in the electron trap DLTS spectrum after plastic deformation, in the hole trap DLTS spectrum a broad spectrum, seemingly composed of many peaks, newly appeared in a middle temperature range, which may be attributed to electronic energy levels of dislocations with various characters.  相似文献

By manipulating the integral expression for the proper radius R e of the cosmological event horizon (CEH) in a Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) universe we obtain an analytical expression for the change δR e in response to a uniform fluctuation δρ in the average cosmic background density ρ. We stipulate that the fluctuation arises within a vanishing interval of proper time, during which the CEH is approximately stationary, and evolves subsequently such that δρ/ρ is constant. The respective variations 2πR e δR e and δE e in the horizon entropy S e and enclosed energy E e should be therefore related through the cosmological Clausius relation. In that manner we find that the temperature T e of the CEH at an arbitrary time in a flat FRW universe is E e /S e , which recovers asymptotically the usual static de Sitter temperature. Furthermore it is proven that during radiation-dominance and in late times the CEH conforms to the fully dynamical First Law T e dS e =PdV e −dE e , where V e is the enclosed volume and P is the average cosmic pressure.  相似文献

Abstact: The elastic scattering cross sections, σ (E,θ), for the systems He+Ta and He+W have been measured at θlab=165° and E lab=76.1 keV to 3.988 MeV using targets with a thickness of a few atomic layers. The results are smaller than the results given by the Rutherford scattering law, σR(E,θ), due to the effects of electron screening and can be described by σ(E,θ)/σR(E,θ)=(1+Ue/E)−1, where U e is an atomic screening potential energy. The deduced average value, U e=28 ± 3 keV, is consistent with the Moliére- and Lenz-Jensen-models as well as electron binding energies. Received: 25 May 1998  相似文献

Plasma parameters in the upgraded Trimyx-M Galathea   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Results are presented from measurements of the plasma parameters in the upgraded Trimyx-M Galathea. After the barrier magnetic field and the energy of the injected hydrogen plasma bunch were increased to B bar ∼ 0.1 T and W 0 ≈ 200 J, respectively, the following plasma parameters were achieved: the density n ∼ 5 × 1013 cm−3, the plasma confinement time τ* = 800–900 μs, the elergy of the confined plasma W 1 ∼ 100 J, the ratio of the plasma pressure to the barrier magnetic pressure β 0 ∼ 0.2, the electron temperature T e ∼ 20 eV, and the ion temperature T i ∼ 2T e . The maximum time during which the plasma density decreased e-fold, τ p , was found to be 300 μs at B bar = 0.1 T, which agrees with the classical transport model.  相似文献

Bianchi Type-I cosmological models containing perfect fluid with time varying G and Λ have been presented. The solutions obtained represent an expansion scalar θ bearing a constant ratio to the anisotropy in the direction of space-like unit vector λ i . Of the two models obtained, one has negative vacuum energy density, which decays numerically. In this model, we obtain Λ ∼ H 2, Λ ∼ R 44/R and Λ ∼ T −2 (T is the cosmic time) which is in accordance with the main dynamical laws for the decay of Λ. The second model reduces to a static solution with repulsive gravity.   相似文献

We present the recent experimental results on the 6He structure studied by the 6Li(t, 3He)6He reaction at 336 MeV. Above the conspicuous peaks for ground and first excited states for 6He, we have observed a broad structures at E x∼ 5 MeV, and E x∼ 15 MeV. The angular distribution of this structure exhibits the dominance of a ΔL = 1 transition, indicating the existence of intruder dipole states at low excitation energies in 6He. We present the first Chandra X-ray observations of the H2O megamaser galaxy Mrk1210 (UGC4203), a Seyfert 2 galaxy at an approximate distance of D ∼ 57.6 Mpc. The Chandra X-ray image, with by far the highest angular resolution (∼1″), displays an unresolved compact core toward the nuclear region of Mrk1210. Comparisons with the previous X-ray observations in the nuclear emission and the spectral shape indicate a fairly stable phase between 2001 (BeppoSAX and XMM-Newton) and 2004 (Chandra) after a dramatic variation since 1995 (ASCA). The best-fit model of Chandra X-ray spectrum consists of two components. The soft scattered component can be best fitted by a moderately absorbed power-law model adding a spectral line at ∼0.9 keV (possibly a Ne-Kα fluorescent line), while the hard nuclear component can be well reproduced by a heavily absorbed power-law model (N H ∼ 2×1023 cm−2) with an additional line at ∼6.19 keV (close to the Fe-Kα fluorescent line). The derived absorption-corrected X-ray luminosity implies that the dramatic variation of spectral properties is caused by significant changes of the absorbing column density along the line-of-sight, while the intrinsic nuclear X-ray luminosity remains stable. In this case, the absorbers should be anisotropic and its size can be constrained to be less than 0.0013 pc. In addition, we also estimate the mass of central engine, the disk radius and the accretion rate of the accretion disk to be 107.12±0.31 M , ∼1 pc and 0.006, respectively. Summary Recently it has been shown that an X-type magnetic neutral line may form in Jupiter's nightside magnetosphere as the result of the current flowing in the plasma disc. Still, a collisionless reconnection mechanism is required to tear up the magnetic field. Recently, Büchner and Zelenyi showed that the chaotization of the electron motion can lead to fast collisionless reconnection in the Earth's magnetotail. In their theory, enhanced pitch angle diffusion is obtained when the curvature parameter κe decreases to κe ≃ 1.6. We apply Büchner and Zelenyi's theory to Jupiter's magnetosphere. The curvature parameter is obtained from the measured plasma parameters and from a self-consistent equilibrium model of the magnetic field, and the results for κe show that the larger the assumed plasma disc, the larger is the range where κe is less than or equal to the stochasticity threshold 1.6. This indicates that chaotic magnetic-field line reconnection may occur in Jupiter's nightside magnetosphere around 60R J from the planet, and is consistent with thein situ magnetic-field observations, that show the signature of magnetic islands and of tearing-mode instability in the relevant region. Summary A large halo event, TADJIKISTAN, observed recently by the Pamir Collaboration, consists of a halo (diameter ∼2 cm) and of a large number (∼2000) of high-energy showers, distributed over an area ofR∼20 cm. The total observed energy in the halo is estimated to be 4.8·104 TeV. The characteristics of the event are compared with those of ANDROMEDA, another large event observed by the Chacaltaya Collaboration. The observed attenuation mean free path of hadrons, Λ/λp = 1.41 −0.32 +0.21 is compatible with that of pions, indicating that the hadrons in the event are not exotic on average. We have obtained IR absorption spectra of a C2F6 gas and a C2F6 cryosolution in Xe (T = 163 K) in the fundamental and overtone ranges. We have interpreted 28 bands of 12C12CF6 and three bands of 13C12CF6. In the spectral ranges that correspond to vibrations that are combinations with ν1, ν7, and ν5, we observe multiplets, which we attribute to interactions of the type of Fermi resonances between the states ν1(A 1g ) ∼ ν6(A 1g ), ν7(E g ) ∼ ν6 + ν11(E g ) ∼ 2ν8(E g ), ν5(A 2u ) ∼ ν8 + ν 11(A 2u ). We reveal an anomalous intensity distribution in the spectrum of an asymmetric isotopologue. For the basic and isotopic configurations of perfluoroethane, we calculate the coefficients of shapes of vibrations and the intensities of absorption bands. We reveal that the behavior of the groups 12CF3 and 13CF3 is indifferent to the excitation of doubly degenerate stretching vibrations ν7(E g ) and ν10(Eu).  相似文献

The transition from a stable orthorhombic structure to a hexagonal structure has been revealed in Tb1−x Y x MnO3 multiferroics at x = 0.2–0.4. It has been shown that almost single-phase crystals with an orthorhombic or hexagonal structure can be obtained by choosing the growth conditions. It has been found that the magnetic and dielectric properties of orthorhombic single crystals with x = 0.2–0.3 are similar to the properties of pure TbMnO3 and are characterized by a strong anisotropy of the magnetic susceptibility at low temperatures and by the presence of a number of magnetic phase transitions, including those to the ferroelectric state. New spontaneous (T ≤ 15 K) and magnetic-field induced (H | C 6) phase transitions accompanied by the appearance of an uncompensated rare-earth magnetic moment ∼1 μB/mole have been observed in hexagonal single crystals with x = 0.3–0.5.  相似文献

The total (p, n) reaction cross section for48Ca has been measured as a function of proton energy in the energy range 1.885 to 5.100 MeV with an overall resolution of ∼ 2 keV and in ∼ 5 keV energy steps. The fluctutions in fine resolution data have been analysed to determine the average coherence width 〈Γ〉. The excitation function averaged over large energy intervals has been analyzed in terms of the optical model. The isobaric analogue resonances atE p ∼ 1.95 and 4 MeV have been shape-analyzed to extract the proton partial width and the spectroscopic factorS n . A comparison of the gross structures observed in ∼ 55 keV averaged excitation function with the predictions of Izumo’s partial equilibrium model has also been made.  相似文献

The impurity photoconductivity spectra of uncompensated silicon at liquid-helium temperatures under conditions of strongly suppressed background radiation (background) are studied in different electric fields E. It is established that the delocalization arising in the D band as E increases is not associated with any changes of the fluctuation potential and is due to the direct action of the field E. A delocalization band of finite width appears abruptly at a critical value E c (∼100 V/cm) of E. The critical field E c increases with the density of charged centers in the sample. Pis’ma Zh. éksp. Investigations based on neutron monitor data show that two components of relativistic cosmic rays are generated by a solar flare. The so-called prompt component comes from a flare with flight times and is characterized by an exponential spectrum with a parameter of E 0 ≈ 0.5 Gev. Numerical simulation of the conditions in the flare current sheet of the Bastille flare demonstrated that such a spectrum is formed at a magnetic reconnection velocity of ∼107 cm s−1. The delayed component has a power law spectrum and is apparently formed during the diffusion of protons in the plasma of the interplanetary magnetic field.  相似文献
