The polarizing properties of the Compton effect in the field of a circularly polarized laser wave are considered. The behavior of the electron spin has been analyzed for the case of a nonlinear Compton effect. The transition from longitudinal to transverse polarization has been demonstrated. The effect of spectral broadening of electromagnetic radiation propagating in a four-dimensional space-time with fluctuations in the space curvature caused by relict gravitational radiation is predicted. It is demonstrated that distortion of spectral line profiles of electromagnetic radiation caused by the fluctuating metric is at the level of resolution of the available spectral instrumentation. 相似文献

The phase and group velocity of the laser pulse propagation as well as the three general expressions governing the nonlinear optic behavior, based on the photon number conservation, are obtained by considering the partially stripped plasma as a nonlinear optic medium. A set of moment relations, which can describe the charged fluids response to an intense pump laser, and a linearization substitution relation, which is more appropriate as compared with the past treatment, are given by theoretical analyses. The relevant equations of state (adiabatic and isothermal), momentum and energy equations are derived self-consistently.The dispersion relations of the electron plasma wave and the ion acoustic wave driven by an intense pump laser field are-obtained. The results show that the frequencies of both the excited electron plasma wave and the excited ion acoustic wave have a great modification in the case of strong pump. The former bears out the theoretical result obtained from Vlasov equation and the later is consistent with experimental observations. It is proved that the zero-frequency component of the laser light wave contribution to the plasma pressure tensor is un-neglected,which implies a greatly change to the wave excitation properties, particularly in the direction of parallel or approximately parallel to the laser field vector. 相似文献

The spectral probability densities of the spontaneous emission and the generation of harmonics by a hydrogen atom in the field of intense laser pulse are calculated. A previously proposed approach is used, which is based on the Kramers?Henneberger transformation for the wave function of time-dependent Schrödinger equation and expansion in the unperturbed atomic eigenstates and the photon states. We study an intense beam propagating through the double periodic focusing channel by the particle-core model, and obtain the beam envelope equation. According to the Poincare-Lyapunov theorem, we analyze the stability of beam envelope equation and find the beam halo. The soliton control method for controlling the beam halo-chaos is put forward based on mechanism of halo formation and strategy of controlling beam halo-chaos, and we also prove the validity of the control method, and furthermore, the feasible experimental project is given. We perform multiparticle simulation to control the halo by using the soliton controller. It is shown that our control method is effective. We also find the radial ion density changes when the ion beam is in the channel, not only the halo-chaos and its regeneration can be eliminated by using the nonlinear control method, but also the density uniformity can be found at beam's centre as long as an appropriate control method is chosen. 相似文献

The horizontally polarized ultrasonic shear wave field emitted by an electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) is studied by the surface force distribution on the EMAT approximately described as an inhomogeneous horizontal shear force. The shear wave directivity pattern is plotted by numerical calculations based on our strictly analytic solutions of the wave field we presented previously. An experimental system of EMAT generation and piezoelectric transducer reception is set up to check the predictions of the theoretical wave field by measuring the ultrasonic signals through aluminium block. The directivity pattern of the wave field obtained from the experimental results conforms the theoretical prediction, which lays a foundation for engineering applications of EMATs. 相似文献

In this paper we present an example of a specific metric which geometrizes explicitly a light-like four-vector potential field (Evans-Vigier field). We define the concepts of semilocal and complete geometrization and show that a light-like vector field has the same geometrical structure as a gravitational Kerr field. With this background in mind we discuss a theoretical proposition that a rotating body generates, besides a special gravitational field, a magnetic-type gauge field which might be identified with a geometrized Evans-Vigier field. We finally present a discussion which inform us that a classical Evans-Vigier field represents a novel type of field because we cannot identify it with any of the known electromagnetic fields. 相似文献

In a recent experimental work on the excess photon detachment (EPD) of H^- ions [Phys. Rev. Lett. 87 (2001) 243001] it has been found that the ponderomotive shift of each EPD peak increases with the order of the EPD channel. By using a nonperturbative quantum scattering theory, we obtain the kinetic energy spectra for the differential detachment rate Mong the laser polarization for several laser intensities. It is demonstrated that higher order EPD peaks are produced mainly at relatively higher laser intensities. By calculating the overall EPD spectra with varying laser intensities, it is found that the ponderomotive shift of each EPD peak increases with the order of the EPD channel Our calculations are in good agreement with the experimental observation. It is found that different EPD channels occur mainly when the laser field reaches some values, thus the intensity distribution of the laser field is responsible for the varying ponderomotive shifts. 相似文献

Nondipole Effects in Atomic Ionization Induced by an Intense Counter-Rotating Bicircular Laser Field

Nondipole effects occurring in the process of atomic ionization by an intense, mid-infrared, counter-rotating bicircular laser field are investigated using the strong-field approximation with leading-order nondipole corrections. The time integrals appearing in the expression for the differential ionization rate are computed in two ways: numerically, and by applying the saddle-point approximation. The nondipole corrections introduce an asymmetry in the photoelectron momentum distribution along the field propagation direction. The asymmetry is quantified by the partial average value of the propagation-direction momentum component of the photoelectrons and by the normalized difference of the differential ionization rates computed including and excluding the nondipole corrections. Using the saddle-point approximation, it is investigated how the nondipole corrections change the solutions for direct photoelectrons and how this affects the momentum spectra. The impact of nondipole corrections increases with increasing photoelectron energy. Analysis of the complete photoelectron spectra including both direct and rescattered photoelectrons shows that, in the low-energy region, a shift against the propagation direction occurs. The partial average of the propagation–direction momentum component in the rescattering region exhibits a plateau structure and also a local minimum structure that was recently observed in an experiment with a linearly polarized laser field (Lin et al., Phys Rev. The momentum of the electron as well as that of the positron depends on the relative direction with respect to the laser propagation.
