流体在微流通道中形成剪切流场(低雷诺数).不同于宏观体系,由于剪切力和表面张力的竞争作用,产生的液滴在微尺度下的微流通道中形成特殊的排列现象---周期性类似“晶格”排列现象.设计了新型流动聚焦型微流控芯片,分析研究在微流体系中液滴周期性图案化排列和转变机理性,液滴排列模式受两方面因素影响:水油两相的流速比值和微通道尺寸.当微通道宽度为250或300 μm时,液滴形成单层分散,双层和单层挤压排列.当微通道宽度为350 μm 时,液滴会形成单层分散到三层排列到双层挤压最后到单层挤压排列.当出口通道宽度增加到400 μm时,甚至出现了液滴四层排列的现象.同时研究了各个液滴排列模式的“转变点”.  相似文献

液滴型微流控芯片表面性质是影响其性能的重要因素. 研究了不同键合方法对基于聚二甲基硅氧烷(PDMS)的液滴型微流控芯片微管道表面性质的影响, 并分别观察和评价了不同键合方法所制作液滴型微流控芯片应用于制备油包水和水包油两种液滴分散体系的效果. 结果显示热扩散键合方法适用于制作油包水型PDMS液滴型微流控芯片, 而等离子键合方法制作的PDMS芯片适于形成水包油型的液滴分散体系.  相似文献

A Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model was formulated for DC arc hydrogen/argon plasma jet re-actors used in the process of the thermal H2/Ar plasma pyrolysis of coal to acetylene. In this model, fluid flow, convective heat transfer and conjugate heat conductivity are considered simultaneously. The error caused by estimating the inner-wall temperature of a reactor is avoided. The thermodynamic and transport properties of the hydrogen/argon mixture plasma system, which are usually expressed by a set of discrete da-ta, are fitted into expressions that can be easily implemented in the program. The effects of the turbulence are modeled by two standard k-ε equations. The temperature field and velocity field in the plasma jet reactor were calculated by employing SIMPLEST algorithm. The knowledge and insight obtained are useful for the design improvement and scale-up of plasma reactors.  相似文献

Foam, as a non-Newtonian fluid, plays an important role in the underbalanced drilling technique in oil field development. The rheological properties of drilling fluids, such as foam, have a direct effect on flow characteristics and hydraulic performance. Two rheological models—the Herschel–Bulkley model and power law—were fitted to two foam systems in this study. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was used to simulate the effect of the rheological models on solid–liquid (cuttings transport) hydraulics in concentric and eccentric annulus during the foam drilling operation. The simulation results are compared to the experimental data from previous studies. The results of CFD using the power law model are in good agreement with experimental results in horizontal annulus with respect to the Herschel–Bulkley model with relative error less than 8%. Thus, for CFD cuttings transport for simulations in inclined and horizontal annulus, it is best to use the power law's rheological model parameters.  相似文献

A mechanical separation process in a de-oiling hydrocyclone is described in which disperse oil droplets are separated from a continuous water phase. This separation process is influenced by droplet breakage and coalescence. Based on experimental data and simulation results in a stirred tank, a modified breakage model, which can be applied to droplet breakage in the de-oiling hydrocyclone, is developed. Then, a simulation model is developed coupling the numerical solution of the flow field in the hydrocyclone based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with population balances. The homogenous discrete method and the inhomogeneous discrete method are applied for solving the population balance model (PBM). The investigations show that the numerical results obtained by the simulation model coupled with the modified PBM using the inhomogeneous discrete method are in good accordance with experimental data under a high flow rate. According to this simulation model, the effect of three different inlet designs on the separation efficiency of the de-oiling hydrocyclone has been discussed. The results indicate that the separation efficiency of the de-oiling hydrocyclone can be improved with an appropriate inlet design.  相似文献

Summary: The impact of a droplet on a solid surface, pre‐patterned with a barrier, was studied using a diffuse interface model. The effect of the wettability of the barrier material and the width of the barrier on droplet spreading was investigated. The results show that depending on the barrier wettability and width, the flow of the spreading droplet can be controlled and that the droplet may or may not overflow the barrier.

基于微流体脉冲驱动控制技术搭建了电化学微流控芯片的制备系统.首先将纳米银墨水和甘油溶液分别微喷射到玻璃基底表面形成微电极图形和微流道液体阳模图形;然后分别进行烧结和聚二甲基硅氧烷(PDMS)模塑工艺制得微电极和微流道;最后将微电极和微流道键合形成电化学微流控芯片.研究了系统参量对液滴产生的影响以及液滴直径和重叠率对液滴成线的影响,制得的微电极最小线宽为45 μm、厚度为2.2 μm、电阻率为5.2 μΩ·cm,制得的微流道最小线宽为35 μm,流道表面光滑.采用制得的电化学微流控芯片进行了葡萄糖浓度的电化学流动检测.结果表明,葡萄糖溶液的浓度与响应电流具有较高的线性关系,可对一定浓度范围内的葡萄糖溶液进行定量检测.基于微流体脉冲驱动控制技术的电化学微流控芯片制备方法具有微喷射精度高、重复性好,制备系统结构简单、成本低廉等优点,可用于生化分析、生物传感器等领域的芯片制备.  相似文献

Polymer microgels with sizes of some tens to hundreds of micrometers can be formed with exquisite control by droplet‐based microfluidic templating. This study presents a systematic assessment of the effect of the premicrogel droplet size on the ability of production of such microgels. The focus is on two popular acrylamide‐derivatives at a fixed monomer concentration and external polymerization temperature. An exponential dependence of the success of droplet gelation on the droplet size is found, which can be rationalized in view of the balance between production and transfer of heat within and from the droplets on basis of a simple Arrhenius argument.

For many food products emulsification processes play an important role. Examples are ice cream, spreads, sauces, etc. As is well known, droplet break-up and coalescence phenomena are the local processes underlying the control of particle size in an emulsion process. Quite a number of studies have generated scaling laws which can be easily applied and which are useful in the design of a process. However, the prediction of particle sizes in an inhomogeneous flow, where the flow velocity is changing spatially in strength and direction and with time, is not yet well established. For one-phase flows computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methodologies are in use to predict details on the flow with quite some success. This methodology has been extended to capture the dispersed phase in an efficient way. The essence is that break-up and coalescence processes determine source terms in a transport equation for the moments of the particle size distribution, while velocity vectors as obtained in the one-phase CFD simulation determine the convective term. This method allows particle size prediction in any equipment. The approach is illustrated for the particle size evolution of an oil-in-water emulsion, for a phase-separated biopolymeric mixture (a so-called water-in-water emulsion) and for the escape of the included oil droplets from a double emulsion of the type oil-in-water-in-oil. In all cases experimental results are compared with simulation results, which match very well. This shows the strength of the method.  相似文献

Quantitatively predicting the reactivity of dynamic covalent reaction is essential to understand and rationally design complex structures and reaction networks. Herein, the reactivity of aldehydes and amines in various rapid imine formation in aqueous solution by microfluidic NMR spectroscopy was quantified. Investigation of reaction kinetics allowed to quantify the forward rate constants k+ by an empirical equation, of which three independent parameters were introduced as reactivity parameters of aldehydes (SE, E) and amines (N). Furthermore, these reactivity parameters were successfully used to predict the unknown forward rate constants of imine formation. Finally, two competitive reaction networks were rationally designed based on the proposed reactivity parameters. Our work has demonstrated the capability of microfluidic NMR spectroscopy in quantifying the kinetics of label-free chemical reactions, especially rapid reactions that are complete in minutes.  相似文献

研制了一种适合普通厚度盖片的分析芯片的差示式非接触电导检测器。在芯片上制作分离通道和参比通道,并在独立的电极板上对应于两通道末端位置设置两对电极,分析芯片置于电极板上。信号发生器产生的高频信号分成两路,分别加至分离通道和参比通道对应的激发电极,两通道对应的接收电极的微弱信号经差示放大和整流。当组分经过分离通道电极间区域时,电导率与参比通道出现差异,获得检测信号。实验考察了激发频率、激发电压、电极间距等对检测性能的影响。在优化检测条件下,即检测频率100 kHz、检测电压10 V(Vp-p)、电极间距0.9 mm时,对K+的检出限达12μmol·L-1,相对标准偏差为1.1%,并成功用于Na+、K+离子的分离检测。该检测器适用于容易制作的普通厚度盖片的分析芯片的检测,且芯片与电极板相互独立,使用方便。  相似文献

Traditionally, as much as 80% or more of an ethanol fermentation broth is water that must be removed. This mixture is not only costly to separate but also produces a large aqueous stream that must then be disposed of or recycled. Integrative approaches to water reduction include increasing the biomass concentration during fermentation. In this paper, experimental results are presented for the rheological behavior of high-solids enzymatic cellulose hydrolysis and ethanol fermentation for biomass conversion using Solka Floc as the model feedstock. The experimental determination of the viscosity, shear stress, and shear rate relationships of the 10 to 20% slurry concentrations with constant enzyme concentrations are performed with a variable speed rotational viscometer (2.0 to 200 rpm) at 40 °C. The viscosities of enzymatic suspension observed were in range of 0.0418 to 0.0144, 0.233 to 0.0348, and 0.292 to 0.0447 Pa s for shear rates up to 100 reciprocal seconds at 10, 15, and 20% initial solids (w/v), respectively. Computational fluid dynamics analysis of bioreactor mixing demonstrates the change in bioreactor mixing with increasing biomass concentration. The portion-loading method is shown to be effective for processing high-solids slurries.  相似文献
