A common nonionic surfactant Triton X-100 was dissolved in a commercial ionic liquid (IL) 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (bmimBF4). The surface tension of the bmimBF4 solution was decreased with increasing the content of surfactant Triton X-100, a similar phenomenon with aqueous solution systems. Dynamic surface properties of Triton X-100 in bmimBF4 were measured. It was found that pure IL solvents need rearrangement at the air-bmimBF4 interface during the beginning stage of absorption. Moreover, the adsorption model was found to be in accord with the diffusion-controlled adsorption mechanism, and further, the dilute bmimBF4 solutions are close to the diffusion-controlled adsorption.  相似文献

The effect of a common polymer, polyethylene glycol with molecular weight of 400 (PEG-400) on the microstructure of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (bmimBF4)/Triton X-100/cyclohexane ionic liquid (IL) reverse microemulsion has been investigated. The addition of PEG-400 leaded to the linear increase of the microemulsion droplet size, in accordance with the observation of dispersed phase, showing that PEG-400 was only solubilized into the polar interior of the IL microemulsions. FTIR spectroscopic analysis indicated that the addition of PEG-400 decreased the electrostatic interaction between the oxygen atoms of OE units and the positive electrical charged imidazolium cation of bmimBF4. At the same time, the oxygen atoms of PEG-400 can also interact with the imidazolium cation. These results suggested that small amounts of PEG-400 entered the palisade layers of the IL microemulsion. The conductivity of the IL reverse microemulsions was decreased owing to the dilution of conducting polar cores by the addition of insulative PEG-400, indicating that PEG-400 was only solubilized into the reverse IL microemulsion interior. The conclusion was further supported by viscosity measurement.  相似文献

A common ionic liquid (IL), 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (bmimBF4), is used as polar solvent to induce the formation of a reverse bmimBF4‐in‐toluene IL microemulsion with the aid of the nonionic surfactant Triton X‐100. The swelling process of the microemulsion droplets by increasing bmimBF4 content is detected by dynamic light scattering (DLS), conductivity, UV/Vis spectroscopy, and freeze‐fracture transmission electron microscopy (FF–TEM). The results show that the microemulsion droplets initially formed are enlarged by the addition of bmimBF4. However, successive addition of bmimBF4 lead to the appearance of large‐sized microemulsion droplet clusters (200–400 nm). NMR spectroscopic analysis reveal that the special structures and properties of bmimBF4 and Triton X‐100 together with the polar nature of toluene contribute to the formation of such self‐assemblies. These unique self‐assembled structures of IL‐based microemulsion droplet clusters may have some unusual and unique properties with a number of interesting possibilities for potential applications.  相似文献

Mechanisms of the formation and stabilization of gold nanoparticles in reverse micelles of micro-emulsions based on Triton X-100 (TX-100) and Aerosol OT (AOT) are studied. The instability of AOT-based microemulsions is shown to be caused by the oxidative degradation of gold nanoparticles in micelle water pools. Methods are proposed for the stabilization of these microemulsions. It is revealed that the mean size of gold nanoparticles synthesized in TX-100 reverse micelles in the presence of sodium sulfite is markedly smaller than that of particles prepared in AOT reverse micelles. This is explained by the fact that gold clusters are formed in the micelle shell rather than in the water pool. 采用聚乙二醇辛基苯基醚(TritonX-100)和二(2-乙基己基)琥珀酸磺酸钠(AOT)双表面活性剂,与正己烷、正己醇和水构成混合反胶束体系;研究了表面活性剂质量比、助表面活性剂含量、水油体积比和温度等因素对反胶束体系导电性能的影响,同时采用循环伏安法研究了K3Fe(CN)6/K4Fe(CN)6在该体系中的电化学行为.结果表明:由两种表面活性剂构成的反胶束体系电导率σ明显大于单一表面活性剂反胶束体系电导率;体系电导率随AOT与TritonX-100的质量比w(w=mAOT∶mTritonX-100)的变化而变化,w为0-0.4时,电导率随w增大而线性增大,之后增加趋势变缓;w=0.96时,σ达到稳定值576μS·cm-1.混合体系电导率随溶水量的增大及温度的上升而提高;而增加助表面活性剂可显著降低体系的电导率.在所研究体系中,Fe(CN)36-/Fe(CN)46-电化学反应对的氧化还原峰电位几乎不随扫描速率变化,峰电位差约为75mV,峰电流的比值约为1,氧化峰电流与扫描速率的平方根成正比,说明K3Fe(CN)6/K4Fe(CN)6在混合反胶束体系中显示出良好的氧化还原可逆性,反应由扩散步骤控制.  相似文献

Abstract

The diffusion coefficients of Triton X-100 micelles with different shape are determined by cyclic voltammetry without any probe. The first CMC (3.2 × 10?4 mol-Lminus;1) and the second CMC (1.3 × 10minus;3 mol-Lminus;1) of Triton X-100 micelles arc obtained, and the mechanism of electrochemical reaction for Triton X-100 is deduced, When n-hexanol is added, the diffusion coefficient of Triton X-100 micelles with different shape increases, but the solubilization fraction of n-hexanol decreases in spherical micelles and is almost constant in rodlike ones. However, the micropolarity of micelles decreases in both spherical and rodlike micelles. Furthermore, the diffusion coefficient of Triton X-100 micelles with different shape increases with temperature and the diffusion activation energy increases with n-hexanol content.  相似文献

The influence of UV-irradiation on the interaction of hemoglobin (Hb) with Triton X-100 is investigated by UV–Vis absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy and freeze-fractured transmission electron microscopy. It is found that in Triton X-100/H2O systems Hb can convert to hemichrome but heme is not present, whereas in Triton X-100/n-C5H11OH/H2O microemulsion Hb can convert to hemichrome and then induce the heme monomer to leave the hydrophobic cavity of Hb. UV-irradiation can also convert Hb to hemichrome, and subsequently make heme to be photodegraded, in which the conversion rate depends on the structure of the surfactant aggregates. Furthermore, in order to understand the mechanism of photostabilization of Hb in Triton X-100 systems, the photostabilization of heme in the Triton X-100 aqueous solutions and Triton X-100/n-C5H11OH/H2O microemulsions has been studied.  相似文献

α-amylase (3.2.1.1) was solubilized in reverse micelles formed by Triton X-100 in xylene. Although the enzyme shows decrease in specific activity in reverse micellar medium, it possesses significantly high stability in comparison to bulk aqueous medium. Water/Surfactant ratio (Wo) was found to play a crucial role in both activity and stability of the enzyme. The optimum water/surfactant ratio for the catalytic function of an enzyme in reverse micelles is 36, while the enzyme is stable at Wo 12 for a considerably long period, and at Wo above 20 the enzyme gets inactivated within a day. Glycerol and CaCl2 improve the stability in both aqueous and reverse micellar medium. Thus the interior of the reverse micelles acts as a microreactor and provides favorable environment for the enzyme activity and stability.  相似文献

Different from organic solvent, self-assemblies are environment friendly media, and moreover, if they are used as micro-reactor, many meaningful and exciting results may be obtained. In this paper, we investigated the photoisomerization of trans-stilbene in Triton X-100/n-C5H11OH/H2O microemulsions (a kind of self-assemblies) with different compositions and structures to establish the relationship between the reaction yields and the compositions and structures of microemulsions. The results show that the yield of cis-stilbene is increased with the increase of water content or with the decrease of Triton X-100 content, and oil in water (O/W) structure is the best structure for this reaction, which makes it possible to decrease the pollution of environment by organic solvent always used in organic reactions.  相似文献

The nonaqueous ionic liquid (IL) microemulsions composed of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate, Triton X-100, and toluene were prepared and the electrochemical properties of the nonaqueous IL microemulsions were investigated in this paper. It is shown that characteristics of the nonaqueous IL microemulsions such as electrical conductivity, electrochemical window, and solubility are good, which indicate that the nonaqueous IL microemulsions can be used as electrolyte for electrochemical research. The electrochemical properties of the nonaqueous IL microemulsions were researched by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy methods using potassium ferricyanide as electroactive probe. It was found that the reversibility was better and the peak current densities of CV were higher for the [Fe(CN)6]3−/[Fe(CN)6]4− electrode reaction in the nonaqueous IL microemulsions than those in IL. However, the electrochemical behavior of the probe in the nonaqueous IL microemulsions with different microenvironments (oil-in-IL, IL-in-oil, and bicontinuous) was different. The electrochemical property of the probe in the oil-in-IL microemulsion was the best, which was studied in detail.  相似文献

Fe(III) and PAN form Fe(PAN),OH complex in CHCl3 extract which shows absorption maxima at 550 nm and 775 nm (log ε550,= 4.06, log ε775 = 4.08). In the Fc(III)-PAN-Triton X-100 system, two complex species Fe(PAN)2+ and/or Fe(PAN)2OH may be formed. Fe(PAN)2+ possesses a strongly absorbing peak at 550 nm (log ε550 = 4.36). In this paper the effect of Triton X-100 micelles on the Fe(III)-PAN color reaction has been investigated in detail. We consider that the high density of ether linkages in Triton X-100 micelles concentrate hydrous Fe(III) ions and change their existing state. Moreover, the micelles not only raise the reactivity of Fe(III), but also enhance the rate of the color reaction.  相似文献

In this work, we report on the phase behavior of 1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium-ethylsulfate ([emim][etSO(4)])/limonene/polyethylene glycol tert-octylphenyl ether (Triton X-114 or TX-114) microemulsions as a function of ionic liquid (IL) content and temperature. Phase diagrams, conductivity measurements, and small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) experiments will be presented. A hydrophilic IL, instead of water is used with the goal to enlarge the temperature range on which stable microemulsions can be formed. Indeed, the system shows remarkably large temperature stability, in particular down to -35 °C. We will emphasize on a comparison with a recently published work about microemulsions composed of [emim][etSO(4)], limonene, and Triton X-100 that to some extent are stable at temperatures well below the freezing point of water. The key parameter responsible for the difference in phase behavior, microstructure, and temperature stability is the average repeating number of ethylene oxide units in the surfactant head group, which is smaller for Triton X-114 compared to Triton X-100. Among the fundamental interest, how the amphiphilicity of the surfactant influences the phase diagram and phase behavior of IL-based microemulsions, the exchange of Triton X-100 by Triton X-114 results in one main advantage: along the experimental path the temperature where phase segregation occurs is significantly lowered leading to single phase microemulsions that exist at temperatures beneath 0 °C.  相似文献

The phase behavior of toluene/Triton X-100 (TX-100)/1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate([bmim][PF6]) was studied. It was demonstrated that the single-phase microemulsion area covered about 75% of the phase diagram at 25 °C. Electrical conductivities of the system with different w ([bmim][PF6]-to-TX-100 molar ratio) values were determined, and the results were used to locate the sub-regions of the single-phase microemulsion. The results showed that a transform from [bmim][PF6]-in-oil ([bmim][PF6]/O) microstructure via a bicontinuous region to an oil-in-[bmim][PF6] (O/[bmim][PF6]) microstructure occurred with the increase of Φ (weight fraction of TX-100 and [bmim][PF6] in the system). The aggregate size of the reverse microemulsions of [bmim][PF6]/O was determined using small-angle X-ray scattering. The results showed that the size of the reverse microemulsions depended markedly on the w values.  相似文献

Excited-state proton transfer (ESPT) of 2-(2'-pyridyl)benzimidazole (2PBI) in reverse micelles has been studied by steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy. The nanometer sized water pool in the n-heptane/Aerosol OT (AOT)/water microemulsion is found to promote tautomer emission of this probe, as is evident from the emergence of a Stokes shifted band at 450 nm at the expense of the normal emission band on increasing the water content of the system. In the nonaquous microemulsion with a methanol core, the normal emission is quenched but no tautomer emission is obtained. With an acetonitrile core, there is no change in emission properties. Similarly, there is no evidence of ESPT in Triton X-100 reverse micelles. This indicates the requirement of ESPT to occur in microheterogeneous media; the medium should be a ternary system comprised of water and a hydrophobic phase separated by a negatively charged interface. In the microemulsions with an aqueous core, the fluorescence decays of 2PBI at the red end exhibit rise times of 0.8 ns and the time-resolved area-normalized emission spectra (TRANES) exhibit an isoemissive point, indicating slow dynamics of the two-state ESPT of 2PBI in aqueous AOT reverse micelles. The origin of the selective enhancement in AOT microemulsions as well as the slow dynamics is explored using fluorescence spectroscopic techniques, with support from quantum chemical calculation.  相似文献

The effects of phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), sphingomyelin (SM), and cholesterol on the activity of phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C (PI-PLC) from Bacillus thuringiensis were studied in detail in phosphatidylinositol (PI)/detergent mixed micelles. By addition of PC, the enzymatic hydrolysis of PI was significantly stimulated in PI/Triton X-100 as well as PI/sodium deoxycholate (SDC) mixed micelles. SM stimulated enzyme activity toward PI/Triton X-100 micelles at a lower molar ratio of SM to PI, but was rather inhibitory at a ratio higher than 2.0. The enzyme activity became significantly lower with an increase of PE or cholesterol in PI/Triton X-100 micelles. Actually, both PE and cholesterol were intensively inhibitory when added at a higher molar ratio to PI in Triton X-100-containing micelles. In the system of PI/SDC mixed micelles, not only PC but also SM, PE and cholesterol enhanced the enzymatic hydrolysis of PI. The difference between PI/Triton X-100 and PI/SDC micelles regarding the effects of these lipids on PI-PLC action, must be dependent on the physical state of micelles formed by these detergents and lipids.  相似文献

The cloud point extraction behavior of iron(III) and vanadium(V) using 8-quinolinol derivatives (HA) such as 8-quinolinol (HQ), 2-methyl-8-quinolinol (HMQ), 5-butyloxymethyl-8-quinolinol (HO4Q), 5-hexyloxymethyl-8-quinolinol (HO6Q), and 2-methyl-5-octyloxymethyl-8-quinolinol (HMO8Q) and Triton X-100 solution was investigated. Iron(III) was extracted with HA and 4% (v/v) Triton X-100 in the pH range of 1.70-5.44. Above pH 4.0, more than 95% of iron(III) was extracted with HQ, HMQ, and HMO8Q. Vanadium(V) was also extracted with HA and 4% (v/v) Triton X-100 in the pH range of 2.07-5.00, and the extractability increased in the following order of HMQ < HQ < HO4Q < HO6Q. The cloud point extraction was applied to the determination of iron(III) in the riverine water reference by a graphite furnace atomic absorption spectroscopy. When 1.25 × 10−3 M HMQ and 1% (v/v) Triton X-100 were used, the found values showed a good agreement with the certified ones within the 2% of the R.S.D. Moreover, the effect of an alkyl group on the solubility of 5-alkyloxymethyl-8-quinolinol and 2-methyl-5-alkyloxymethyl-8-quinolinol in 4% (v/v) Triton X-100 at 25 °C was also investigated.  相似文献

Suitability of reverse micelles of anionic surfactant sodium bis(2-ethyl hexyl) sulfosuccinate (AOT) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), cationic surfactant hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) and nonionic surfactant polyoxyethylene p-t-octylphenol (TritonX-100) in organic solvent isooctane for extraction of soy isoflavone-enriching proteins was investigated. The results showed that the order of combined isoflavone contents was SDS>CTAB>Triton X-100>AOT, while the order of protein recovery was SDS>AOT>TritonX-100>CTAB. As compared with ACN-HCl extraction, the total amount of isoflavones was lower than reverse micellar extraction. Ion strength was one of the important conditions to control extraction of isoflavone-enriching proteins with AOT reversed micelles. For the six salt systems, KNO3, KCl, MgCl2, CaCl2, NaCl, and Na2SO4, extracted fraction of isoflavone-enriching proteins was measured. Salt solutions greatly influenced the extraction efficiency of isoflavones in an order of KNO3>MgCl2>CaCl2>KCl>NaCl>Na2SO4, while protein in an order of MgCl2>CaCl2>NaCl>KNO3>Na2SO4>KCl.  相似文献

The effect of micelles of different surfactants (cationic, anionic, and neutral) on the kinetics of the glucose oxidase-catalyzed reduction of ferrocenium cations RFc+ (R=H, Bun) byd-glucose was studied by spectrophotometry. In micellar media of Triton X-100 and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), the Michaelis dependence of the reaction rate on the HFc+ concentration is observed, while this dependence has an extreme character in cationic micelles of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB). The nature and concentration of surfactants of all types have a slight effect on the rate of reduction of HFc+. The level of enzymatic activity is approximately equal in the case of Triton X-100 and CTAB and is considerably lower in the SDS micelles. On going from HFc+ to BunFc+, the reaction rate is maximum in the cationic CTAB micelles, the anionic SDS micelles exhibit almost no activity, and the activity has an intermediate value in neutral micelles of Triton X-100. Regularities of solubilization of calix[4]resorcinarenes (H8L) with the variable length of hydrophobic radicals (R = CH3, C3H7, C5H11, C7H15, C8H17, C9H19, C11H23) by the micelles of nonionic surfactants Triton X-100 and Triton X-405 in aqueous solutions were studied using solubility measurements. It was found that the solubilization capacity of surfactant micelles with respect to H8L and [H4L]4– depends on the extension (thickness) of their polar layers. It was shown by means of potentiometric titration that, in solutions of nonionic surfactants, the constants of the interaction between tetraanions [H4L]4– and tetrametylammonium ions depend on the structure and concentration of nonionic surfactants and the hydrophobicity of H8L molecules. A change in the affinity of the [H4L]4– anions for protons and tetramethylammonium cations in nonionic surfactant solutions was revealed in relation to the length of substituents R and reagent concentrations.  相似文献
