Delamination of a symmetric circular plate made of viscoelastic composite is studied. It is assumed that the plate has a penny-shaped crack whose edges have a minor axisymmetric imperfection. The lateral surface of the plate is clamped and is compressed by uniform radial normal forces through a rigid body. The studies are made using the exact geometrically nonlinear equations of the theory of viscoelasticity. The delamination criterion is assumed unrestrained growth of the initial imperfection. The Laplace transform and FEM are employed. In particular cases, the results are compared with those for elastic composites  相似文献

The conventional approach to analysis the buckling of rectangular laminates containing an embedded delamination subjected to the in-plane loading is to simplify the laminate as a beam-plate from which the predicted buckling load decreases as the length of the laminate increases. Two-dimensional analyses are employed in this paper by extending the one-dimensional model to take into consideration of the influence of the delamination width on the buckling performance of the laminates. The laminate is simply supported containing a through width delamination. A new parameter β defined as the ratio of delamination length to delamination width is introduced with an emphasis on the influence of the delamination size. It is found that (i) when the ratio β is greater than one snap-through buckling prevails, the buckling load is determined by the delamination size and depth only; (ii) as the ratio β continues to increase, the buckling load will approach to a constant value. Solutions are verified with the well established results and are found in good agreement with the latter.  相似文献

An analysis of the buckling and post-buckling of a delaminated composite strut is presented using a simple 4 degree of freedom nonlinear Rayleigh–Ritz formulation. Bifurcation analysis indicates that instability occurs in general at an asymmetric point of bifurcation. Depending on the depth of delamination both thin-film and overall buckling can occur in the post-buckling range, the transition being seen at a point of secondary bifurcation. For certain combinations of parameters this becomes a stellar bifurcation, associated with a double eigenvalue, where there are three possible subsequent routes for the post-buckling. The method used is fast and reliable and can be readily extended to modelling a composite with several layers.  相似文献

In order to effectively describe the progressively intralaminar and interlam- inar damage for composite laminates, a three dimensional progressive damage model for composite laminates to be used for low-velocity impact is presented. Being applied to three-dimensional (3D) solid elements and cohesive elements, the nonlinear damage model can be used to analyze the dynamic performance of composite structure and its failure be- havior. For the intralaminar damage, as a function of the energy release rate, the damage model in an exponential function can describe progressive development of the damage. For the interlaminar damage, the damage evolution is described by the framework of the continuum mechanics through cohesive elements. Coding the user subroutine VUMAT of the finite element software ABAQUS/Explicit, the model is applied to an example, i.e., carbon fiber reinforced epoxy composite laminates under low-velocity impact. It is shown that the prediction of damage and deformation agrees well with the experimental results.  相似文献

Investigations of viscoelastic composite materials and structural members carried out using the TDLTSDB and initial-imperfection method are reviewed. The investigations address the internal and surface loss of stability of layered and fibrous composites, the loss of stability of plates, and the delamination (buckling) of plates with cracks. Each of these problems is reviewed separately. New areas of further research are proposed. 本文研究了具有任意位置透型脱层的复合材料梁的屈曲问题。基于弹性理论建立了复合材料脱层梁的基本方程式。对脱层梁进行了分区处理,利用B样条函数作为位移型函数的基函数,方便地描述了脱层长度、脱层位置。考虑边界条件、区间位移连续性条件和弯矩剪力的平衡条件以及纵向内力的附加条件,对基本方程式进行了求解。得出了脱层位置不同,脱层长度不同的屈曲荷载的变化规律,并与轴对称脱层时的屈曲荷载进行了比较,认为层合梁考虑脱层对屈曲的影响是非常必要的。  相似文献

Free vibration analysis of composite laminates with delaminations is performed based on a three-dimensional semi-analytical model established by introducing the local radial point interpolation method (LRPIM) into a Hamilton system. The governing equation is derived with a transfer matrix technique and a spring layer model based on a local weak-form equivalent to the modified Hellinger-Reissner variational principle. Main superiority of the present model is that the scale of the governing equation involves only the so-called state variables at the top and bottom surfaces, and is insensitive to the thickness and the layer number of the composite laminates. Several numerical examples for analyzing the vibration frequencies and mode shapes of delaminated composite beams and plates are given to validate the model. The results are in good agreement with the pre-existing results.  相似文献

A macro-micro analytical approach for the anti-penetrating contact problem at the interfaces of the delamination in symmetrically cross-plied,fiber-reinforced rectangular laminates is presented in this paper.The laminate is simply supported and subjected to a uniform transverse load with a through-width delamination buried at the center position.A contact factor is defined to characterize the contact efect and determined using the micro-mechanics of composite material.By analyzing the kinematics of nonlinear deformation at the interfaces of the delamination,the contact force is derived.Asymptotic solutions from perturbation analysis are presented.It is found that the deformation of the laminate involves a global deflection and a local buckling.The antipenetrating contact efects are characterized by the local buckling and are intrinsic properties of the laminates,relying only on the geometries of the delamination and the material properties.Parametric analyses show that the location and size of the contact areas and the distribution of the contact force are hardly afected by the aspect ratio.  相似文献

The creep responses of simply-supported cross-ply and angle-ply viscoelastic laminates, having various magnitudes of imperfections, under in-plane compression are examined. The non-linear strain-displacement relation is based on the von Kármán assumption. The stress function is obtained by solving the compatibility equation by the use of the Laplace transform, and the deflection is calculated from the moment equation by the Galerkin method and a numerical integration scheme. The numerical results of deflection history and edge shortening for the glass/epoxy laminates are presented for illustrating the effect of imperfections and viscoelastic properties on the creep behavior. The solutions based on the quasi-elastic approach are also presented for comparison.  相似文献

用基于Mindlin板理论的有限元方法进行了带脱层损伤复合材料层板的屈曲载荷分析.为了处理在屈曲模态中上下脱层之间的接触问题,我们提出了一种有效的算法.在这种算法中,首先用一阶灵敏度分析和二次规划方法相结合的选代算法算出接触区域的虚拟力,然后将这种虚拟力转化成一些假想弹簧的刚度系数,并对原始刚度矩阵进行修正.数值算例表明本算法可以有效地克服屈曲模态中上下脱层之间的相互贯穿.同时,还对脱层的大小,形状和位置对屈曲载荷的影响进行了研究.  相似文献

复合材料层合板的各向异性及非均质,使得复合材料层合板内部的破坏形式非常复杂.在复合材料结构的设计中,为满足制造及使用功能上的需求,在复合材料层合板承力结构件上不可避免地需要设计各种开口.然而,含大开口复合材料层合板的强度破坏问题变得更为复杂,使得现有的强度理论面临新的挑战.针对碳纤维增强复合材料大开口层合板受单向拉伸载荷作用下的强度破坏问题进行了数值分析和实验研究.首先,根据Hashin准则和刚度退化模型,对含不同圆形开口尺寸的[0]_(10)单向铺层、[0/90]_5和[±45]_5正交铺层的层合板,进行了单向拉伸载荷作用下渐进失效的数值模拟分析,获得了对应结构的极限载荷和破坏模式.在此基础上,采用数字图像相关方法,进行复合材料大开口层合板强度破坏的实验研究.研究结果表明,大开口复合材料层合板在单向拉伸加载下主要呈现脆性破坏形式,破坏起始位置处于应力集中区.此外,破坏强度和失效模式与复合材料铺层方式和开口尺寸大小密切相关.其中[±45]_5铺层的开口层合板承载能力最弱,分层破坏最严重.开口尺寸越大,结构的极限载荷值越低.同实验测试结果相比,数值模拟对复合材料层合板的损伤失效分析略显不足,往往很难全面分析复合材料层合板破坏失效过程中的各种因素的影响.  相似文献

The paper studies the stress rupture behavior of a reinforced viscoelastic composite through which a penny-shaped mode I crack propagates under a constant load. The composite has hexagonal symmetry and consists of elastic isotropic fibers and viscoelastic isotropic matrix. The material is modeled as a transversely isotropic homogeneous viscoelastic medium with effective characteristics. The crack is in the isotropy plane. The ring-shaped fracture process zone at the crack front is modeled by a modified Dugdale zone with time-dependent stresses. The viscoelastic properties of the matrix are characterized using a resolvent integral operator. Use is made of Volterra's principle, the method of operator continued fractions, and the theory of precritical crack growth in viscoelastic bodies. The problem is reduced to nonlinear integral equations. 基于层合板壳理论,考虑反对称铺设层合板的拉弯耦合效应和后屈曲过程中的非线性几何变形,推导了由应力函数和挠度表示的复合材料层合板的后屈曲控制方程。引入无量纲参数对控制方程和边界条件进行无量纲化,以消除材料参数及几何尺寸对分析结果的影响。采用摄动法将无量纲的非线性控制方程及边界条件展开成一系列非齐次线性摄动方程组,分析各阶摄动方程的通解与特解的构造,并逐次求解,建立了反对称铺设复合材料层合板受单向均布压力作用的临界屈曲荷载及后屈曲平衡路径的理论解。进而运用ABAQUS软件对复合材料层合板在面内压缩载荷作用下的屈曲和后屈曲进行有限元分析,结果表明理论解与ABAQUS结果十分接近,验证了理论解的正确性。在此基础上进一步讨论了铺设角度、铺设层数和拉弯耦合效应等对层合板后屈曲性能的影响。研究发现层合板的屈曲载荷受铺设角度与层数的影响较为显著,而拉弯耦合效应使板的屈后强度大大降低。  相似文献

给出了基于一阶剪切变形理论的含分层损伤层合板有限元分析模型,将含分层损伤层合板在压缩载荷作用下的强度破坏分析和屈曲破坏分析统一起来,先区分其破坏形式,然后再进行具体破坏分析.在屈曲特性分析中考虑了铺层强度破坏引起的刚度折减的影响.数值结果表明, 该文给出的方法和结论对含分层损伤复合材料层合板的设计更具参考价值.  相似文献

在某些纤维增强复合材料(FRC)中使用金属或高分子聚合物作为基体材料.在高温等情况下,这类材料具有明显的粘弹性特性.本文采用Riemann-Liouville形式的分数阶导数模型描述基体的粘弹性特性.通过渐近均匀化方法给出了预测FRC整体三维本构关系的解析表达式.给出了应用于基体具有Makris粘弹性关系的具体形式.以圆截面纤维正方形排列的情形为例,给出了等效模量随纤维体积比的变化曲线.结果说明,这类复合材料仍具有粘弹性特性,其整体粘弹性本构关系的弹性部分综合了纤维弹性和基体弹性的贡献,粘性部分来自基体粘性的贡献,复合材料具有和基体相同的粘性系数和分数阶.为分析微结构特征对整体特性的贡献,须求解两类局部问题.可以看出,在整体的等效模量中包含了局部变形的贡献,局部变形增加了复合材料的耦合刚度.  相似文献

Summary A solution method is developed for a laminated spherical shell, subject to uniform normal tractions or constant radial displacements on the boundary. Displacements and stresses in the shell can be obtained from the solution formulas, which are as simple as those for homogeneous spherical shells. These formulas are accurate when the thicknesses of the constituent spherical layers are small in comparison with the radii of the shell, and become exact in case these thicknesses tend to zero under a fixed overall shell thickness. The solution is obtained mainly by exactly treating the product of an infinitely large number of matrices which link the displacements and stresses in different constituent spherical layers.
