The inflation mechanism is examined for a composite cylindrical tube composed of two incompressible rubber materials, and the inner surface of the tube is subjected to a suddenly applied radial pressure. The mathematical model of the problem is formulated, and the corresponding governing equation is reduced to a second-order ordinary differential equation by means of the incompressible condition of the material, the boundary conditions, and the continuity conditions of the radial displacement and the radial stress of the cylindrical tube. Moreover, the first integral of the equation is obtained. The qualitative analyses of static inflation and dynamic inflation of the tube are presented. Particularly, the effects of material parameters, structure parameters, and the radial pressure on radial inflation and nonlinearly periodic oscillation of the tube are discussed by combining numerical examples. 相似文献

In this paper the effect of random geometric imperfections on the limit loads of isotropic, thin-walled, cylindrical shells under deterministic axial compression is presented. Therefore, a concept for the numerical prediction of the large scatter in the limit load observed in experiments using direct Monte Carlo simulation technique in context with the Finite Element method is introduced. Geometric imperfections are modeled as a two dimensional, Gaussian stochastic process with prescribed second moment characteristics based on a data bank of measured imperfections. (The initial imperfection data bank at the Delft University of Technology, Part 1. Technical Report LR-290, Department of Aerospace Engineering, Delft University of Technology). In order to generate realizations of geometric imperfections, the estimated covariance kernel is decomposed into an orthogonal series in terms of eigenfunctions with corresponding uncorrelated Gaussian random variables, known as the Karhunen-Loéve expansion. For the determination of the limit load a geometrically non-linear static analysis is carried out using the general purpose code STAGS (STructural Analysis of General Shells, user manual, LMSC P032594, version 3.0, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space Co., Inc., Palo Alto, CA, USA). As a result of the direct Monte Carlo simulation, second moment characteristics of the limit load are presented. The numerically predicted statistics of the limit load coincide reasonably well with the actual observations, particularly in view of the limited data available, which is reflected in the statistical estimators. 相似文献

Circular cylindrical shells conveying incompressible flow are addressed in this study; they lose stability by divergence when the flow velocity reaches a critical value. The divergence is strongly subcritical, becoming supercritical for larger amplitudes. Therefore the shell, if perturbed from the initial configuration, has severe deformations causing failure much before the critical velocity predicted by the linear threshold. Both Donnell's non-linear theory retaining in-plane displacements and the Sanders-Koiter non-linear theory are used for the shell. The fluid is modelled by potential flow theory but the effect of steady viscous forces is taken into account. Geometric imperfections are introduced and fully studied. Non-classical boundary conditions are used to simulate the conditions of experimental tests in a water tunnel. Comparison of numerical and experimental results is performed. 相似文献

On the basis of nonlinear strain component formulations of three-dimensional continuum, this paper has derived the nonlinear strain component formulations of shells with initial geometric imperfections. The derivation is not confined to a special shell, therefore they possess general properties. Shells of revolution made of a granular composite material with microdamageable components are studied. Microdamages are simulated by spheroidal pores filled with a damaged material. The concentration of pores increases with increasing load. The problem is formulated using the concept of continuous load and the Kirchhoff-Love hypotheses. 几何缺陷浅拱的动力稳定性分析 总被引:2,自引:1,他引:2
研究了几何缺陷对粘弹性铰支浅拱动力稳定性能的影响。从达朗贝尔原理和欧拉-贝努利假定出发推导了粘弹性铰支浅拱在正弦分布突加荷载作用下的动力学控制方程,并采用Galerkin截断法得到了可用龙格-库塔法求解的无量纲化非线性微分方程组。同时引入能有效追踪结构动力后屈曲路径的广义位移控制法,对含几何缺陷浅拱的响应曲线进行几何、材料双重非线性有限元分析。用这两种方法分析了前三阶谐波缺陷对浅拱动力稳定性能的影响,其中动力临界荷载由B-R准则判定。主要结论有:材料粘弹性使浅拱动力临界荷载增大且结构响应曲线与弹性情况差别很大;二阶谐波缺陷影响显著,它使动力临界荷载明显下降且使得浅拱粘弹性动力临界荷载可能低于弹性动力临界荷载。 相似文献

In this paper,based on the theory of Donnell-type shallow shell,a new displacement-type stability equations is first developed for laminated composite circular conical shellswith triangular grid stiffeners by using the variational calculus and generalized smeared-stiffener theory.The most general bending stretching couplings,the effect of eccentricity ofstiffeners are considered.Then,for general stability of composite triangular grid stiffenedconical shells without twist coupling terms,the approximate formulas are obtained forcritical external pressure by using Galerkin‘s procedure.Numerical examples for a certainC/E composite conical shells with inside triangular grid stiffeners are calculated and theresults are in good agreement with the experimental data.Finally,the influence of someparameters on critical external pressure is studied.The stability equations developed andthe formulas for critical external pressure obtained in this paper should be very useful in theastronautical engineering design. 相似文献

针对植入Z-pin后碳纤维增强复合材料的微观结构,通过施加Z-pin周期性边界约束条件,建立了Z-pin复合材料单层板单胞细观模型.考虑固化过程中树脂体积收缩、弹性模量随固化度变化和纤维因Z-pin进入偏转因素,运用有限单元法计算了单胞结构在固化成型工艺过程中树脂和纤维应力发展和分布,并研究了Z-pin直径和分布密度对单层板面内残余应力的影响.结果表明:凝胶点之前,树脂模量和残余应力很小,凝胶点之后,树脂模量和残余应力增加较快;残余应力分布与纤维偏转有关;Z-pin直径和分布密度增加会使固化残余应力增大. 相似文献
