The influence of a modified spectrum of refractive-index fluctuations (that includes a high wavenumber rise as well as inner- and outer-scale parameters) on the backscatter amplification effect, arising from double passage of an optical wave through statistically dependent inhomogeneities of a random medium, is studied for the case of a Gaussian-beam wave reflected by a mirror of finite size. A formal expression is first developed for the mutual coherence function, which subsequently leads to tractable analytic models for the mean irradiance in the strictly backward direction. When the inner scale and Fresnel zone are of comparable size, the modified spectrum predicts significantly larger values of the enhancement factor than predicted by the Kolmogorov power-law spectrum. It is also shown in this analysis that by varying the focal length of the mirror the enhancement effects can be greater or less than those of a plane mirror, depending on focus adjustment. All calculations are based on weak irradiance fluctuations using complex ABCD ray-matrix representations for the propagation channel and a generalized spectral representation theory for the complex phase perturbations.  相似文献

地表热通量和水汽通量对全球气候变化和大气环流有着重要而广泛的影响,而Monin-Obukhov(M-O)相似性函数在计算近地层热通量和水汽通量的过程中扮演着重要的角色;同时M-O相似性函数是大气光学湍流估算模式中不可或缺的因子。通过对合肥西郊35 m铁塔上气象数据的分析,利用非线性最小二乘法拟合得到了一套全新的M-O相似性函数。将之与前人提出的相似性函数作对比,展现出了较好的一致性。同时,该函数大气光学湍流的估算模式中,估算值与实测值具有较好的吻合度。分析结果表明:在稳定条件和非常不稳定条件下,可以认为温度相似性函数等于湿度相似性函数,在弱不稳定条件下两者不再满足这种相似性。  相似文献

提出了抛物方程的多重非均匀网格模型,以准确求解三维空间存在多辐射源的电波传播问题。通过对不同辐射源建立不同的坐标系,并对其仿真空间采用不同的非均匀网格划分,构建了抛物方程的多重非均匀网格模型。在此基础上,实现了三维多辐射源问题的并行计算。实例仿真了空间存在四个辐射源的电波传播特性。结果表明,抛物方程的多重非均匀网格模型能够准确求解多源的空间电磁场分布特性,且在该算例中,并行技术使得抛物方程的计算速度提升了2.41倍,极大地提高了抛物方程对三维多源问题的求解效率。  相似文献

The coherence function of sound waves propagating through an intermittently turbulent atmosphere is calculated theoretically. Intermittency mechanisms due to both the turbulent energy cascade (intrinsic intermittency) and spatially uneven production (global intermittency) are modeled using ensembles of quasiwavelets (QWs), which are analogous to turbulent eddies. The intrinsic intermittency is associated with decreasing spatial density (packing fraction) of the QWs with decreasing size. Global intermittency is introduced by allowing the local strength of the turbulence, as manifested by the amplitudes of the QWs, to vary in space according to superimposed Markov processes. The resulting turbulence spectrum is then used to evaluate the coherence function of a plane sound wave undergoing line-of-sight propagation. Predictions are made by a general simulation method and by an analytical derivation valid in the limit of Gaussian fluctuations in signal phase. It is shown that the average coherence function increases as a result of both intrinsic and global intermittency. When global intermittency is very strong, signal phase fluctuations become highly non-Gaussian and the average coherence is dominated by episodes with weak turbulence.  相似文献

The present article is an analysis of the effect of atmospheric turbulence upon the spatial coherence of laser radiation. Young's experiment was used for an experimental study of the coherence of radiation traversing path lengths of 100 and 200 m in the atmosphere.The experimental measurements of the relation between the coherence function of the radiation and the temperature gradient are in strong agreement with the theoretical values. The relation between the coherence function and the distance between the field points considered disagrees with the theoretical values. The discrepancy can be explained by the limitations of the approximation of geometrical optics.  相似文献

The Galilei group is combined with two one-dimensional groups, to form a twelve-dimensional extended Galilei group. Irreducible representations of this group depend upon two indicesm, s that can, respectively, be interpreted as the mass and spin of a non-relativistic particle. With the aid of computerized symbolic computation, a new elliptic function rational expansion method is presented by means of a new general ansatz, in which periodic solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations that can be expressed as a finite Laurent series of some of 12 Jacobi elliptic functions, is more powerful than exiting Jacobi elliptic function methods and is very powerful to uniformly construct more new exact periodic solutions in terms of rational formal Jacobi elliptic function solution of nonlinear partial differential equations. As an application of the method, we choose a (2+1)-dimensional dispersive long wave equation to illustrate the method. As a result, we can successfully obtain the solutions found by most existing Jacobi elliptic function methods and find other new and more general solutions at the same time. Of course, more shock wave solutions or solitary wave solutions can be gotten at their limit condition.  相似文献

An arbitrary thickness phase screen model can describe scintillation index for Gaussian beam propagating through a phase screen more accurate than thin phase screen model. To describing actual scintillation index for Gaussian beam propagating through an extended medium using a phase screen in weak non-Kolmogorov turbulence, the scintillation index and Rytov variance for arbitrary thickness phase screen model are derived. Specially, the ratio of the Rytov variances for a phase screen and extended random media is found under the assumption of equivalence in scintillation index of the two cases. The theoretical results show that the normalized Rytov variance varies with the power law of the turbulence spectrum, the relative thickness of the phase screen, the position of the phase screen, the transmitter beam parameters and the radial position at output plane. The influences of these variables are also simulated. These results will be applied to simulation of adaptive optics and laser communication.  相似文献

In this paper, the spectral degree of coherence formula was derived by using the generalized Huygens–Fresnel principle and the method of Rytov phase structure function quadratic approximation. The spatial coherence of vortex Gaussian beams passed atmospheric turbulence was studied. It showed that the spatial coherence was mainly affected by the coherence of light source, the number of topological charges and the transmission distance. The distance of transmission was farther, the spatial coherence of beam was better. The number of topological charges were more, the spatial coherence of beam was better. In a certain transmission distance, the coherence of light source was better, the spatial coherence of beam was worse. In addition, there were coherent vortexes which spectral degree of coherence was zero after the partially coherent vortex beams getting through atmospheric turbulence transmission.  相似文献

文章分析了高斯-谢尔光束在大气湍流中传输时相干长度的变化, 并与真空传输做比较, 真空传输相干长度的变化只与光源参数有关, 大气湍流中传输相干长度的变化受光源参数和湍流的共同影响. 真空传输光束扩展造成相干长度增大; 大气湍流中, 传输距离较短时, 相干长度由于光源扩展而增加, 当传输距离较大时, 湍流效应增强引起相干长度下降. 因此, 单纯从相干长度方面分析大气湍流带来的影响不够完备. 为排除光源扩展影响, 利用相干长度与光斑尺度的比值进行分析, 发现大气湍流会造成比值的下降. 在数值仿真的基础上对上述结果给出了解释. 关键词: 部分相干 大气湍流 高斯-谢尔模 光束扩展  相似文献

Based on extended Huygens-Fresnel principle, analytical expressions of beam width and far-field angular spreading for electromagnetic Gaussian Schell-model (EGSM) beams propagating in atmospheric turbulence are obtained. The effects of coherence and polarization on beam spreading and directionality in atmospheric turbulence are investigated in detail. A condition is obtained under which beams with different degrees of spatial coherence and polarization will generate the same far-field angular spreading in atmospheric turbulence. Streamwise evolution of longitudinal and transverse velocity structure functions in a decaying homogeneous and nearly isotropic turbulence is reported for Reynolds numbers Reλ up to 720. First, two theoretical relations between longitudinal and transverse structure functions are examined in the light of recently derived relations and the results show that the low-order transverse structure functions can be well approximated by longitudinal ones within the sub-inertial range. Reconstruction of fourth-order transverse structure functions with a recently proposed relation by Grauer et al. is comparatively less valid than the relation already proposed by Antonia et al. Secondly, extended self-similarity methods are used to measure the scaling exponents up to order eight and the streamwise evolution of scaling exponents is explored. The scaling exponents of longitudinal structure functions are, at first location, close to Zybin’s model, and at the fourth location, close to She–Leveque model. No obvious trend is found for the streamwise evolution of longitudinal scaling exponents, whereas, on the contrary, transverse scaling exponents become slightly smaller with the development of a steamwise direction. Finally, the stremwise variation of the order-dependent isotropy ratio indicates the turbulence at the last location is closer to isotropic than the other three locations.  相似文献

为了评估大气湍流效应对激光照射器照射精度的影响,理论分析和数值计算了由于大气湍流引入的激光照射误差随着照射距离、大气湍流强度、激光光束半径的变化关系。结果表明:随着照射距离和湍流强度的增加,以及激光光束半径的减小,大气湍流引起的激光照射误差增大,大气湍流对现有机载光电稳瞄系统照射精度影响为10 rad~30 rad。  相似文献

We study the change in the degree of coherence of partially coherent electromagnetic beam (so called electromagnetic Gaussian Schell-model beam). It is shown analytically that with a fixed set of source parameters and under a particular atmospheric turbulence model, an electromagnetic Gaussian Schell-model beam propagating through atmospheric turbulence reaches its maximum value of coherence after the beam propagates a particular distance, and the effective width of the spectral degree of coherence also has its maximum value. This phenomenon is independent of the used turbulence model. The results are illustrated by numerical curves.  相似文献
