Inelastic collisions of MnBr2 molecules with a beam of monoenergetic electrons with the formation of the single-charged atomic manganese ion and the MnBr molecule in excited states were studied experimentally. The cross sections of the dissociative excitation of MnII in electron-MnBr2 collisions and direct excitation in electron-Mn collisions were compared. Possible channels of the reaction of Mn+* formation are discussed.  相似文献

Inelastic collisions of slow electrons with cobalt dichloride molecules, leading to the formation of excited cobalt atoms in odd sextet states, are experimentally studied. At an incident electron energy of 100 eV, thirty six dissociative excitation cross sections are measured for levels belonging to the z6D°, z6F°, and z6G° terms. In the electron energy range of 0–100 eV, ten optical excitation functions are recorded. The full cross sections for the dissociative excitation of the cobalt atom levels and the contribution of cascade transitions to their population are determined. The cross sections for electron–molecule and electron–atom collisions are compared.  相似文献

Dissociative excitation of even quartet and sextet levels of the manganese atom by electron collisions with manganese diiodide molecules was studied experimentally. Twelve excitation cross-sections for transitions from quartet levels and 23 cross-sections for transitions from sextet levels were measured at an incident electron energy of 100 eV. The optical excitation function (OEF) was recorded in the range of electron energies 0?100 eV for transitions originating at the 3d54s4de6DJ levels. The potential channels of dissociative excitation in the range of low electron energies (E < 22 eV) were discussed.  相似文献

We present our latest results on recombination of electrons with ions at very low energies obtained at the CRYRING heavy-ion storage ring. New data on the enhanced rate coefficient are shown. Then we concentrate on recent measurements of dielectronic recombination resonances with Li-like, Na-like, and Cu-like ions, where from the spectra of resonances very accurate values for energy splittings are derived for crucial tests of relativistic, correlation, and QED effects.  相似文献

Polarization of the fluorescence of the vapors of anthracene, perylene, 1,4-di(2,5-phenyloxazolyl)benzene (POPOP), and 2-phenyl-5-(4-biphenylyl)oxazole (BPO) upon excitation by a beam of monokinetic electrons with energy varying in the 5–300-eV range has been found. The electrical vector of radiation has a higher value in the direction perpendicular to the direction of the electron beam. For the substances studied, maxima of fluorescence polarization are observed that approximately coincide in position with the maxima of the excitation function. The maximum value of the fluorescence polarization degree of POPOP does not exceed 3.8%.  相似文献

We propose a novel mirror for cold molecules with a blue-detuned semi-Gaussian beam and study the dynamic reflection process of cold molecules by Monte Carlo simulation. Our study shows that this mirror can realize a specular reflection of cold iodine molecular beam with a temperature of 30mK by a reflectivity of 58.2% when the semi-Gaussian laser power is 1.0 kW. When a semi-Gaussian CO2 laser beam with a power of 5.8 kW is used, the reflectivity of this mirror can reach about 100%.  相似文献

We report a new experimental method to study reactive ion-molecule collisions at very low temperatures. A source of laser-cooled ions in a linear Paul trap has been combined with a quadrupole-guide velocity selector to investigate the reaction of Ca+ with CH3F at collision energies E[over](coll)/k(B)> or =1 K with single-particle sensitivity. The technique represents a general approach to study reactive collisions between ions and polar molecules over a wide temperature range down to the cold regime.  相似文献

It is tested the applicability of formulae for atomic ionization to molecules. The best fit between theoretical and experimental values is given by the formula of Gryzinski. The calculations require the knowledge of the orbital structure. If no detailed information on electronic molecular structure is available, then approximation is attained using the Lotz formula with three fitting parameters. Results are given especially for organic molecules and Cl and F contaning etching gases.  相似文献

The close-coupling method is utilized to calculate partial cross sections for elastic and inelastic scattering of He atoms with HX (X=F, Cl, Br) molecule based on the CCSD (T) potential energy surfaces obtained in the previous research. The calculation is performed at the incident energy of 200 me V. The rationality of our results has been confirmed by comparison with the available theoretical results. The tendency of the elastic and inelastic rotational excitation partial wave cross sections varying with the reduced mass of the three systems is obtained.  相似文献

在气体样品池条件下,研究了Rb(5PJ) (He,N2)碰撞能量转移过程.用调频半导体激光器激发Rb原子至Rb(5P3/2)态,在不同的He或N2气压下,测量了直接5P3/2→5S1/2荧光和转移5P1/2→5S1/2荧光.对于Rb(5PJ)与He的碰撞,只发生精细结构转移(略去碰撞猝灭效应),电子态能量仅能转移为He原子的平动能.在与N2的碰撞中,向分子振转态的转移是重要的.本实验中,Rb的密度为4.5×1011 cm-3,由辐射陷获理论得到5P1/2→5S1/2的有效辐射率为2.47×107 s-1.利用速率方程分析,可以得到碰撞转移速率系数,对于He,5P3/2→5S1/2转移速率系数kHe21=2.61×10 12 cm3·s.对于N2,测量5PJ He和5PJ N2两种情况下直接荧光与敏化荧光的相对强度比,利用最小二乘法确定5Pa/2→5S1/2转移速率系数kN212=2.36×10-11 cm3·s,5PJ态猝灭速率系数kN2=1.44×10-11 cm3·s-1.由实验结果证实了Cs-N2主要是直线式碰撞传能机制,与其他实验结果进行了比较.  相似文献

We propose a novel scheme to trap cold polar molecules on the surface of an insulating substrate (i.e. a chip) by using an inhomogeneous electrostatic field, which is generated by the combination of a circular charged wire (a ring electrode) and a grounded metal plate. The spatial distributions of the electrostatic field from the above charged wire layout and its Stark potentials for CO molecules are calculated. Our study shows that when the voltage applied to the wire is U = 15 kV, a ring radius is R = 5 mm, the thickness of the insulating substrate is b = 5 mm, and a wire radius is r = 1mm, the maximum efficient trapping potential (i.e., as equivalent temperature) for CO molecules is greater than 141.7mK, which is high enough to trap cold polar molecules with a temperature of 50 mK in the low-field-seeking states.  相似文献

激光双光子激发K2至1Λg高位态,利用分子荧光光谱方法,研究了1Λg-3Λg间的碰撞转移截面。在纯K实验中,池温控制在553至603 K之间,K原子密度由光学吸收法测量得到。探测1Λg-11Σu+的直接时间分辨荧光的光强,它是一条纯指数衰减曲线,由此得到1Λg+态的有效寿命,有效寿命的倒数与K密度成线性关系,从直线的斜率得到1Λg态的猝灭截面为(2.5±0.3)×10-14cm2,从截距得到辐射寿命为(20±2)ns。由3Λg→13Σu+转移荧光的时间分辨谱,用类似的方法得到3Λg的猝灭截面为(2.5±0.6)×10-14cm2,辐射寿命为(16.0±3.2)ns。由1Λg→11Σu+与3Λg→13Σu+的时间积分强度比得到K2(1Λg)+K→K2(3Λg)+K的转移截面为(1.1±0.3)×10-14cm2。在K2-H2碰撞实验中,池温保持在553 K,K密度为5×1015cm-3,H2气压在40~400 Pa之间,其中K2-K碰撞效应是不能略去的,但可以用纯K结果扣除,得到K2(1Λg)+H2→K2(3Λg)+H2的碰撞转移截面为(2.7±1.1)×10-15cm2。K2(3Λg)+H2→K2(3Λg)以外态+H2的猝灭截面为(6.8±2.7)×10-15cm2。  相似文献

Radiative emission of fast electrons in collision with an “ion‐sphere” electron distribution in dense plasmas is under consideration. The electron structure of the ion sphere is calculated ab initio using self‐consistent solution of both bound and free electron distribution inside the sphere. Two radiation channels are included: emission of the colliding electron itself in static potential (conventional or static Bremsstrahlung) and the emission of “ion sphere” medium due to its polarization by the colliding electron (polarization Bremsstrahlung). The last one is calculated in the frame of local plasma density approximation. Interference between conventional and polarization Bremsstrahlung is taken into account. It is shown that spectral cross section of the process has characteristic features depending on plasma density and ionization stage of plasma ions. (© 2013 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
