We present an explicit solution of the problem of optimal linear filtering: the recovery of the useful signal(s) at the instantt+, (>0,<0, or=0) from known values of the received signal(s)=(s)+(s) in the past, i.e., at the instantts, s0. We shall give a further application of Hermite-Mahler polynomials to the consideration ofp-adic exponential function. An effective lower bound is obtained for max {| – | p ,P(e )| p }, where is an algebraic number satisfying || p <p –/(p–1), and 0 is ap-adic number with | | p depending on the degree of the polynomialPZ[y]. The bound obtained implies the transcendence ofe if ap-adic number satisfying 0 < || p <p –/(p–1) is algebraic or can be well approximated by algebraic numbers.This work was carried out while the author was a research fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.  相似文献

The difference sequence spaces (), c(), and c 0() were studied by Kzmaz. The main purpose of the present paper is to introduce the space bv p consisting of all sequences whose differences are in the space p , and to fill up the gap in the existing literature. Moreover, it is proved that the space bv p is the BK-space including the space p . We also show that the spaces bv p and p are linearly isomorphic for 1 p . Furthermore, the basis and the -, -, and -duals of the space bv p are determined and some inclusion relations are given. The last section of the paper is devoted to theorems on the characterization of the matrix classes (bv p : ), (bv : p ), and (bv p : 1), and the characterizations of some other matrix classes are obtained by means of a suitable relation.  相似文献

Using a capacity approach, we prove in this article that it is always possible to define a realization of the Laplacian on L 2() with generalized Robin boundary conditions where is an arbitrary open subset of R n and is a Borel measure on the boundary of . This operator generates a sub-Markovian C 0-semigroup on L 2(). If d=d where is a strictly positive bounded Borel measurable function defined on the boundary and the (n–1)-dimensional Hausdorff measure on , we show that the semigroup generated by the Laplacian with Robin boundary conditions has always Gaussian estimates with modified exponents. We also obtain that the spectrum of the Laplacian with Robin boundary conditions in L p () is independent of p[1,). Our approach constitutes an alternative way to Daners who considers the (n–1)-dimensional Hausdorff measure on the boundary. In particular, it allows us to construct a conterexample disproving Daners' closability conjecture.  相似文献

An invariant based on orderedK-theory with coefficients in n>1 /n and an infinite number of natural transformations has proved to be necessary and sufficient to classify a large class of nonsimple C* -algebras. In this paper, we expose and explain the relations between the order structure and the ideals of the C* -algebras in question.As an application, we give a new complete invariant for a large class of approximately subhomogeneous C*-algebras. The invariant is based on ordered K-theory with coefficients in /. This invariant is more compact (hence, easier to compute) than the invariant mentioned above, and its use requires computation of only four natural transformations.  相似文献

Let X/Fp be an Artin–Schreier curve defined by the affine equation y p y=f(x) where f(x)Fp[x] is monic of degree d. In this paper we develop a method for estimating the first slope of the Newton polygon of X. Denote this first slope by NP1(X/Fp). We use our method to prove that if p>d2 then NP1(X/Fp)(p–1)/d/(p–1). The case where the queue length first attains the level r m+ 1 during a busy period is called the refusal of the system. C. Hightower found two infinite sequences of gaps in the Markov spectrum, ( n , n ) and ( n , n ) with n and n both Markov elements, converging to . This paper exhibits Markov elements n * and n * such that, for alln 1, ( n * , n ) and ( n n * ) are gaps in the Markov spectrum. Two algebras of global pseudo-differential operators over n are investigated, with corresponding classes of symbols A0=CB (all (x, )-derivatives bounded over 2n), and A1 (all finite applications of xj, j, and pq=pqpxp on the symbol are in A0). The class A1 consists of classical symbols, i.e., x a= 0((1+||)–||) for x Kc ;n, K, compact. It is shown that a bounded operator A of 210C=L2(Rn) is a pseudo-differential operator with symbol aAj if and only if the map AG–1AG, G gj is infinitely differentiable, from a certain Lie-group gj c GL(210C) to (210C) with operator norm. g0 is the Weyl (or Heisenberg) group.
