In this paper we prove a stochastic representation for solutions of the evolution equation
where L  ∗  is the formal adjoint of a second order elliptic differential operator L, with smooth coefficients, corresponding to the infinitesimal generator of a finite dimensional diffusion (X t ). Given ψ 0 = ψ, a distribution with compact support, this representation has the form ψ t  = E(Y t (ψ)) where the process (Y t (ψ)) is the solution of a stochastic partial differential equation connected with the stochastic differential equation for (X t ) via Ito’s formula.   相似文献

In this paper we give conditions under which the diophantine equation G n (x) = G m (P(x)) has at most exp(1018) many solutions (n, m) ε ℤ2, n, m ⩾ 0. The proof uses a very recent result on S-unit equations over fields of characteristic 0 due to Evertse, Schlickewei and Schmidt [14]. Under the same conditions we present also bounds for the cardinality of the set

We prove here that if d≥ 2, then ψ(x) := lim n →∞(−:1/n) logP{R n nx} exists for x≥ 0 and establish some convexity and monotonicity properties of ψ(x). The one-dimensional case will be treated in a separate paper. We also prove a similar result for the Wiener sausage (with drift). Let B(t) be a d-dimensional Brownian motion with constant drift, and for a bounded set A⊂ℝ d let Λ t = Λ t (A) be the d-dimensional Lebesgue measure of the `sausage' ∪0≤ s t (B(s) + A). Let ℐ(ℝn) be the Schwartz class on ℝn and ℐ(ℝn) be the collection of functions ϕ ∊ ℐ(ℝn) with additional property that
for all multiindices γ. Let (ℐ(ℝn))′ and (ℐ(ℝn))′ be their dual spaces, respectively. In this paper, it is proved that atomic Hardy spaces defined via (ℐ(ℝn))′ and (ℐ(ℝn))′ coincide with each other in some sense. As an application, we show that under the condition that the Littlewood-Paley function of f belongs to L p(ℝn) for some p ∊ (0,1], the condition f ∊ (ℐ(ℝn))′ is equivalent to that f ∊ (ℐ(ℝn))′ and f vanishes weakly at infinity. We further discuss some new classes of distributions defined via ℐ(ℝn) and ℐ(ℝn), also including their corresponding Hardy spaces.   相似文献

For r ≥ 2 and n > r we consider the finite dimensional k −algebra Λ(n,r) which is defined as the quotient algebra of Λ by the two sided ideal generated by all paths of length r. We will determine for which pairs (n,r) the algebra Λ(n,r) is piecewise hereditary, so the bounded derived category D b (Λ(n,r)) is equivalent to the bounded derived category of a hereditary abelian category H\mathcal H as triangulated category.  相似文献

For certain Cantor measures μ on ℝn, it was shown by Jorgensen and Pedersen that there exists an orthonormal basis of exponentialse 2πiγ·x for λεΛ. a discrete subset of ℝn called aspectrum for μ. Let K⊂ℝ d (d≥ 1) be a compact convex set and Λ a countable Abelian group. We study a stochastic process X in K Λ, equipped with the product topology, where each coordinate solves a SDE of the form dX i (t) = ∑ j a(ji) (X j (t) −X i (t))dt + σ (X i (t))dB i (t). Here a(·) is the kernel of a continuous-time random walk on Λ and σ is a continuous root of a diffusion matrix w on K. If X(t) converges in distribution to a limit X(∞) and the symmetrized random walk with kernel a S (i) = a(i) + a(−i) is recurrent, then each component X i (∞) is concentrated on {xK : σ(x) = 0 and the coordinates agree, i.e., the system clusters. Both these statements fail if a S is transient. Under the assumption that the class of harmonic functions of the diffusion matrix w is preserved under linear transformations of K, we show that the system clusters for all spatially ergodic initial conditions and we determine the limit distribution of the components. The stochastic equation dX t =dS t +a(t,X t )dt, t≥0, is considered where S is a one-dimensional Levy process with the characteristic exponent ψ(ξ),ξ∈ℝ. We prove the existence of (weak) solutions for a bounded, measurable coefficient a and any initial value X 0=x 0∈ℝ when (ℛeψ(ξ))−1=o(|ξ|−1) as |ξ|→∞. These conditions coincide with those found by Tanaka, Tsuchiya and Watanabe (J. Math. Kyoto Univ. 14(1), 73–92, 1974) in the case of a(t,x)=a(x). Our approach is based on Krylov’s estimates for Levy processes with time-dependent drift. Some variants of those estimates are derived in this note.  相似文献

Here ? is a H?lder or Sobolev class of functions, ϕ(f) is either the sup-norm of f or the value of f at a fixed point, C > 0 is a constant, ψɛ is the minimax rate of testing and ɛ→ 0 is the asymptotic parameter of the model. We find exact separation constants C * > 0 such that a test with the given summarized asymptotic errors of first and second type is possible for C > C * and is not possible for C < C *. It is studied the first-passage time (FPT) of a time homogeneous one-dimensional diffusion, driven by the stochastic differential equation dX(t) = μ(X(t))dt + σ(X(t)) dB t , X(0) = x 0, through b + Y(t), where b > x 0 and Y(t) is a compound Poisson process with rate λ > 0 starting at 0, which is independent of the Brownian motion B t . In particular, the FPT density is investigated, generalizing a previous result, already known in the case when X(t) = μt + B t , for which the FPT density is the solution of a certain integral equation. A numerical method is shown to calculate approximately the FPT density; some examples and numerical results are also reported.  相似文献

The paper continues the studies of the well-known class T of typically real functions f(z) in the disk U = {z:|z| < 1}. The region of values of the system {f(z 0), f(z 0), f(r 1), f(r 2),…, f(r n )} in the class T is investigated. Here, z 0 ∈ U, Im z 0 ≠ 0, 0 < r j  < 1 for j = 1,…, n, n ≥ 2. As a corollary, the region of values of f′(z 0) in the class of functions fT with fixed values f(z 0) and f(r j ) (j = 1,…, n) is determined. Given a uniformly elliptic second order operator on a possibly unbounded domain , let (T(t)) t≥0 be the semigroup generated by in L 1(Ω), under homogeneous co-normal boundary conditions on ∂Ω. We show that the limit as t → 0 of the L 1-norm of the spatial gradient D x T(t)u 0 tends to the total variation of the initial datum u 0, and in particular is finite if and only if u 0 belongs to BV(Ω).
