A data-processing technique is proposed for use with conventional frequency-chirped absorption spectroscopy to ensure accurate mapping of spectral features into time-domain signatures with arbitrarily fast readout chirp rates. This technique recovers the spectrum from a signal that is distorted owing to the fast chirp rate and therefore facilitates fast measurement of the spectral features over a broad spectral range with high resolution. Both numerical simulations and experimental results are presented.  相似文献

The blue-shifted supercontinuum generation in a photonic crystal fiber pumped by high peak power femtosecond pulses with a wavelength located in the anomalous dispersion region is investigated experimentally and numerically.The formation of a blue-shifted enhanced supercontinuum due to the pulse collapse is demonstrated.The process of the pulse collapse is measured by using the grating-eliminated no-nonsense observation of ultrafast incident laser light e-fields technique(GRENOUILLE).Numerical simulations in spectral and temporal domains are conducted.The data from the numerical simulations are in good agreement with the experimental results.Our experimental results and numerical simulations show that pulse collapse is the determining factor in the generation of a blue-shifted supercontinuum.  相似文献

We report on processing the spectral interference signals by a new method based on a windowed Fourier transform applied in the wavelength domain. First, the numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate high precision of the phase retrieval from the spectral signal. Second, the feasibility of the method is confirmed in processing experimental data from a dispersive Michelson interferometer comprising a cube beamsplitter made of BK7 glass. From the retrieved spectral phase difference, the effective thickness of the beamsplitter is determined precisely.  相似文献

We report on a simple processing procedure to retrieve the phase from spectral interferograms including a stationary-phase point. First, the numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate high precision of the phase retrieval from the spectral interferogram. Second, the feasibility of the procedure is confirmed in processing the experimental data from a dispersive Michelson interferometer comprising a cube beam splitter and a plate made of BK7 optical glass. We report on the experimental observation of dip-type spectral sidebands on the soliton spectra of a passively mode locked fiber laser. We point out that the formation of the dip sidebands is due to a four-wave-mixing type of parametric process between the soliton and dispersive waves induced by the periodic soliton parameter variation in the laser cavity. Numerical simulations have well reproduced the experimental results.  相似文献

The limited bandwidths of volume selective RF pulses in localized in vivo MRS experiments introduce spatial artifacts that complicate spectral quantification of J-coupled metabolites. These effects are commonly referred to as a spatial interference or "four compartment" artifacts and are more pronounced at higher field strengths. The main focus of this study is to develop a generalized approach to numerical simulations that combines full density matrix calculations with 3D localization to investigate the spatial artifacts and to provide accurate prior knowledge for spectral fitting. Full density matrix calculations with 3D localization using experimental pulses were carried out for PRESS (TE=20, 70 ms), STEAM (TE=20, 70 ms) and LASER (TE=70 ms) pulse sequences and compared to non-localized simulations and to phantom solution data at 4 T. Additional simulations at 1.5 and 7 T were carried out for STEAM and PRESS (TE=20 ms). Four brain metabolites that represented a range from weak to strong J-coupling networks were included in the simulations (lactate, N-acetylaspartate, glutamate and myo-inositol). For longer TE, full 3D localization was necessary to achieve agreement between the simulations and phantom solution spectra for the majority of cases in all pulse sequence simulations. For short echo time (TE=20 ms), ideal pulses without localizing gradients gave results that were in agreement with phantom results at 4 T for STEAM, but not for PRESS (TE=20). Numerical simulations that incorporate volume localization using experimental RF pulses are shown to be a powerful tool for generation of accurate metabolic basis sets for spectral fitting and for optimization of experimental parameters.  相似文献

We carried out experimental and numerical study of the ultrafast supercontinuum generation by filamentation of 120 fs, 800 nm laser pulses in sapphire under variable focusing conditions. We demonstrate that the supercontinuum spectra produced in loose focusing conditions have much larger infrared extent, while the spectral blueshift remains fairly the same. Our numerical simulations reproduce the experimental results in great detail and disclose that the input beam focusing conditions affect only the nonlinear propagation of the leading sub-pulse, which emerges after the pulse splitting event, and which is responsible for the redshifted spectral broadening.  相似文献

利用1 064 nm波长Nd∶YAG脉冲激光诱导击穿合金钢产生激光等离子体光谱,采用高分辨率及门宽控制的ICCD探测LIBS信号光谱。选用铁元素原子谱线404.581,414.387,427.176和438.355 nm进行分析,研究了不同实验参数对LIBS光谱信号强度的影响结果。实验结果表明,激光脉冲能量、激光聚焦位置以及ICCD探测器的延时等实验参数对合金钢LIBS信号有较大影响。通过优化这些实验参数,获得高光谱强度和信背比的LIBS信号,确定了LIBS技术用于合金钢微量元素成分分析的最佳实验条件,从而开展合金钢样品成分分析。  相似文献

We report pulse trapping in passively mode-locked fiber lasers operating in a near-zero dispersion regime. Two polarization components of vector pulses have different central wavelengths while copropagating as a unit in fiber lasers. The vector pulses exhibit smooth Gaussian spectral profile without any sidebands, qualitatively distinct from those observed in net-anomalous and net-normal fiber lasers. Numerical simulations suggest that the pulse trapping depends not only on fiber birefringence and cavity dispersion but also on saturable absorption effect. The experimental observations are in good agreement with the numerical simulations.  相似文献

This paper presents experimental studies of the enhanced light transmission through metallic films pierced by subwavelength annular apertures. Two different methods (e-beam lithography and focused ion beam) have been used to build the nano-structures. We have experimentally recorded their far-field spectral response in the visible range and the optical near-field above the nano-structures when they are excited at 633 nm. The spectral response exhibits a transmission peak at 700 nm with maximum efficiency around 16%. The near-field exhibits a characteristic two-lobe structure just above the aperture. Finite difference time domain (FDTD) simulations reproduce quite well the experimental results.  相似文献

Second-order structure functions are widely used to characterize turbulence in the inertial range because they are simple to estimate, particularly in comparison to spectral density functions and wavelet variances. Structure function estimators, however, are highly autocorrelated and, as a result, no suitable theory has been established to provide confidence intervals for turbulence parameters when determined via regression fits in log/log space. Monte Carlo simulations were performed to compare the performance of structure function estimators of turbulence parameters with corresponding multitaper spectral and wavelet variance estimators. The simulations indicate that these latter estimators have smaller variances than estimators based upon the structure function. In contrast to structure function estimators, the statistical properties of the multitaper spectral and wavelet variance estimators allow for the construction of confidence intervals for turbulence parameters. The Monte Carlo simulations also confirm the validity of the statistical theory behind the multitaper spectral and wavelet variance estimators. The strengths and weaknesses of the various estimators are further illustrated by analyzing an atmospheric temperature time series.  相似文献

菲涅耳波带板直接成像,应用到激光等离子体或惯性约束聚变靶的X射线成像诊断,可实现μm甚至亚μm的空间分辨能力。在对成像进行数值模拟时,考虑到光源的光谱带宽和几何尺度对成像的影响,要进行菲涅耳-基尔霍夫衍射积分与卷积等数值计算,需占用大量计算机内存并且耗费运行机时。改进了数值计算方法,采用了蒙特卡罗积分法和新的卷积算法。模拟了菲涅耳波带板对大尺度多色X射线源的二维成像,新算法与以往算法相比,可显著减少运算机时,在台式机上实现模拟成像的快速计算。结果表明随着光源尺度增大、光谱带宽增加,像的背景增强,导致反衬度与成像质量下降。  相似文献

The spectral width of a Ni-like silver transient soft X-ray laser (4d-4p λ= 13.9 nm) was experimentally inferred from the measurement of its temporal coherence, performed with a novel wavefront division interferometer. The measured coherence time of 3 ps corresponds to a spectral linewidth of 0.7 m? which is narrow. We compare this experimental result to numerical simulations of the amplified line profile, performed along two different approaches. Both calculations predict a spectral linewidth that is about 3 times larger than the experimental value. We discuss several effects that might explain this discrepancy. We show that, due to the short duration of the X-ray laser pulse, the assumption of a stationary electromagnetic field used in both the experimental analysis and in the calculations need to be reconsidered.  相似文献

In this paper, a frequency-domain method to estimate modal parameters from short data records with known input (measured) forces and unknown input forces is presented. The method can be used for an experimental modal analysis, an operational modal analysis (output-only data) and the combination of both. A traditional experimental and operational modal analysis in the frequency domain starts respectively, from frequency response functions and spectral density functions. To estimate these functions accurately sufficient data have to be available. The technique developed in this paper estimates the modal parameters directly from the Fourier spectra of the outputs and the known input. Instead of using Hanning windows on these short data records the transient effects are estimated simultaneously with the modal parameters. The method is illustrated, tested and validated by Monte Carlo simulations and experiments. The presented method to process short data sequences leads to unbiased estimates with a small variance in comparison to the more traditional approaches.  相似文献

针对干涉型计算层析成像光谱仪(CTII)提出了一种光谱图像数据立方体的重建方法。干涉型计算层析成像光谱仪是一种将空间调制傅里叶变换成像光谱仪(FTIS)的原理与计算层析成像光谱仪(CTIS)的原理相结合的一种新型成像光谱仪,具有高通量、高光谱分辨力以及高空间分辨力的特点。分析和讨论了干涉型计算层析成像光谱仪的工作原理以及获取图像的特征,介绍了光谱图像数据立方体的重建方法。根据多角度投影数据的特点提出采用卷积反投影计算层析成像图像重建算法,给出了图像重建步骤以及相应的数学表达式。对D65光源照明条件下的396×396像素目标进行了仿真实验,投影角度为0~180°,步长为0.5°,列出了仿真实验部分结果。实验结果验证了干涉型计算层析成像光谱仪及其图像重建算法的可行性。  相似文献

Molecular dynamics simulations have been used to compute the surface tension of linear alkanes. The OPLS force field has been compared with the SKS force field for alkanes (n-hexane, n-decane and n-hexadecane) over two ranges of temperature: high temperatures where no experimental data are available for surface tension and lower temperatures where comparisons may be made with experiments. At high temperatures, for a given coexistence density, these two models predict a similar surface tension. For a given temperature the two models yield different surface tensions. However, these deviations can be attributed to differences in the prediction of the coexistence curves. For the SKS model the computed coexistence properties have been compared with experimental data. The simulation data are in reasonable agreement with the experimental data.  相似文献

介绍了高光谱分辨率光谱定标经常采用的几种技术手段,包括谱线灯法、单色准直光法、利用可调谐激光器和气体吸收池的方法等。通过对比几种国外高光谱分辨率大气痕量气体探测仪的光谱定标技术,阐述了不同光谱定标技术的原理、实施方法以及技术特点。针对大气痕量气体探测遥感器超高分辨率光谱定标的特点,指出定标设备的带宽应能达到0.001nm的水平,同时还应考虑采取优化定标算法、结合多种光谱定标方法等措施来满足高光谱分辨率大气痕量气体探测仪光谱定标的要求。  相似文献

An analytical solution to the Lipari-Szabo model is derived for isotropic overall tumbling. The parameters of the original Lipari-Szabo model, the order parameter S2 and the effective internal correlation time tau(e), are calculated from two values of the spectral density function. If additionally the spectral density value J(0) is known, the exchange contribution R(ex) term can also be determined. The overall tumbling time tau(c) must be determined in advance, for example, from T1/T2 ratios. The required spectral density values are obtained by reduced spectral density mapping from T1, T2, and NOE measurements. Our computer simulations show that the reduced spectral density mapping is a very good approximation in almost all cases in which the Lipari-Szabo model is applicable. The robustness of the analytical formula to experimental errors is also investigated by extensive computer simulations and is found to be similar to that of the fitting procedures. The derived formulas were applied to the experimental 15N relaxation data of ubiquitin. Our results agree well with the published parameter values of S2 and tau(e), which were obtained from standard fitting procedures. The analytical approach to extract parameters of molecular motions may be more robust than standard analyses and provides a safeguard against spurious fitting results, especially for determining the exchange contribution R(ex).  相似文献

Many theoretical and experimental studies have been developed to characterize the spectral response of an optical fiber Bragg grating (FBG) in axial strain fields in recent years. However, comparatively few works were devoted to the evolution of the spectrum when a FBG is subjected to non-uniform transverse load. In this paper, the effects of distributed birefringence on FBG under non-uniform transverse load are analyzed and a numerical simulation based on the piecewise-uniform approach is also discussed to simulate the responses of FBG under some typical non-uniform transverse strain fields. Experiment was carried out using different loads applied at different locations of the FBG. Good agreements between experimental results and numerical simulations have been obtained.  相似文献
