The deuteron structure functions for elastic electron scattering and the deuteron static properties have been calculated with the inclusion of isobar admixtures to the deuteron wave function and meson exchange currents. At higher momentum transfers the structure functions are increased significantly because of the strong enhancement of the deuteron magnetic dipole form factor. Roughly 15–35% of this enhancement depending on the momentum transfer arise from the meson exchange currents.  相似文献

电子与原子核碰撞实验是通过中高能探针探测原子核结构的方法。本文提供了一个高Q2单举准弹性电子原子核散射截面的计算方法,此方法是基于核子-核子短程关联的经验公式与弱束缚近似下的氘核散射截面模型。在弱束缚近似下,氘核可以看成是由近似自由质子与中子组成,质子与中子的短程关联可以忽略,氘核结构函数可以写成质子与中子结构函数线性组合,从而可以得到氘核的散射截面。根据氘核散射截面以及短程关联的经验公式,可以得到考虑短程关联的原子核A > 2的散射截面。我们将计算得到的散射截面与已有的实验和及Bosted拟合方法的结果比较,发现本文的方法在大xQ2 > 2 GeV2区域得到的结果与实验结果符合得较好并且对于一些重原子核,尤其是4He核,明显优于Bosted方法的结果。The electron nucleus collision experiments are approaches measuring the structure of nuclei by using intermediate and high energy probe. This paper shows a calculation method of inclusive electron nucleus quasielastic scattering cross section at high Q2 which based on a empirical formula of Nucleon-Nucleon Short Range Correlation (NN-SRC) and a model of electron deuteron quasi-elastic cross section in Weak-Binding Approximation (WBA). In WBA, the deuteron can be regarded as the combination of quasi-free proton and neutron and the short range correlation between them can be ignored. Therefore the structure function of deuteron can be written as the linear combination of that of proton and neutron, then one can get the cross section of deuteron. According to the cross section of deuteron and the empirical formula, one can obtain the cross section of nuclei A > 2 which considers NN-SRC effect. We compare our calculation results with existing experiments and the results calculated by Bosted' fit method, then find that our results match the experiments at high x and Q2 > 2 GeV2 and better significantly than the Bosted's results for some heavier nucleus, especially 4He.  相似文献

We have investigated the neutrino reactions via deuteron in the surface region of the supernova core. We present results for exclusive electron scattering from polarized and unpolarized deuteron. We employ the Gross equation to describe the deuteron ground state, and we use the SAID parametrization of the full NN scattering amplitude to describe the final state interactions. We discuss properties of various asymmetries accessible with a polarized deuteron target and/or a polarized beam.  相似文献

The vector and tensor polarization of the deuteron after scattering and the dependence of the cross section on the polarization before scattering are given for elastic electron deuteron scattering treating the deuteron as a spin 1 elementary particle characterized by three electromagnetic formfactors and describing the interaction by the first Born approximation. By using polarization measurements a separation of the charge and quadrupole formfactors may be accomplished, and thus the assumptions may be tested, which are necessary for the extraction of the isoscalar nucleon formfactors from the deuteron formfactors.  相似文献

Model-independent QED radiative corrections to polarization observables in the elastic scattering of unpolarized and longitudinally polarized electron beam by a deuteron target are calculated. Two experimental setups are considered: the deuteron target is arbitrarily polarized, or the vector and/or tensor polarization of the recoil deuteron is measured. The calculations are based on taking all essential Feynman diagrams into account and using the covariant parametrization of the deuteron polarization state. The radiative corrections are calculated for the hadronic variables using invariant integration of the leptonic tensor. Numerical estimates of the radiative corrections to the polarization observables are made for various values of the kinematical vari-ables.  相似文献

We study the effect of weak neutral currents in elastic electron deuteron scattering on both unpolarized and polarized deuteron targets. Theoretical expressions have been derived for the polarized electron asymmetry, polarized target asymmetry and recoil deuteron vector polarization within the framework of impulse approximation. We show that these polarization parameters can give vital information on the space-time and isospin structure of the hadronic weak neutral current. In particular, our numerical estimates show that a measurement of polarized target asymmetry is sensitive to the isoscalar axial vector piece in the hadronic neutral current which, though zero in the Weinberg-Salam model, is not completely ruled out by the data.  相似文献

Tensor polarization observables ( t(20), t(21), and t(22)) have been measured in elastic electron-deuteron scattering for six values of momentum transfer between 0.66 and 1.7 (GeV/c)(2). The experiment was performed at the Jefferson Laboratory in Hall C using the electron High Momentum Spectrometer, a specially designed deuteron magnetic channel and the recoil deuteron polarimeter POLDER. The new data determine to much larger Q2 the deuteron charge form factors G(C) and G(Q). They are in good agreement with relativistic calculations and disagree with perturbative QCD predictions.  相似文献

We consider the corrections to the deuterium hyperfine structure originating from the two-photon exchange between an electron and deuteron, with deuteron excitations in the intermediate states. In particular, the motion of the two intermediate nucleons as a whole is taken into account. The problem is solved in the zero-range approximation. The result is in good agreement with the experimental value of deuterium hyperfine splitting.  相似文献

The polarization of nucleons, which arises in deuteron electrodisintegration as a function of the angle between nucleon trajectories is considered. In electron scattering by large angles the polarization is affected by the interaction in the final state as well as by the presence of a D-wave component in the deuteron ground state. It is shown that the polarization degree of producing nucleons essentially depends on the choice of radial parts of the deuteron wave-function and the D-wave contribution in the deuteron ground state.  相似文献

A nonrelativistic calculation of the elastic electron deuteron scattering has been performed in which the effects arising from nucleon polarization have been systematically investigated. These effects have been taken into account by admixing isobar configurations into the deuteron wave function. Explicit expressions for the various contributions to the respective deuteron form factors have been given. At higher momentum transfers inclusion of the isobar configurations leads to a substantial increase in the form factors which qualitatively appears to account for at least some of the discrepancies between theory and experiment.  相似文献

The cross section for inelastic electron deuteron scattering at the quasielastic peak is calculated in the laboratory system, using complete relativistic kinematics. The difference between the exact cross section formula andDurand's simple sum rule expression is found to be approximately 1.2% for 4-momentum transfers of 2.5 to 4f?1 and the influence of the deuteron wave function on the final results to be smaller than 1% for reasonable deuteron models. Final state corrections are introduced through a simple correction term in the cross section formula.  相似文献

The D(d,p)T reaction in Be metal environments has been measured to investigate the electron screening effect in metals in an energy region of from 5.5 keV to 10 keV in a center of mass system(CMS)at a temperature of 121 K.The depth distribution of deuteron density in Be metals has an impact on the observed reaction yields.A model of deuteron density distribution in metal has been proposed to obtain the original yields.A screening energy of(116±46)eV has been obtained with the assumed deuteron density distribution model.  相似文献

Cross sections of the elastic scattering of electrons from the deuterons are calculated with the concept of primitive interaction, disregarding the form factors of the deuteron. Model-independent radiative corrections to deep inelastic scattering of an unpolarized electron beam off the tensor-polarized deuteron target are considered. The contribution to the radiative corrections due to the hard photon emission from the elastic electron-deuteron scattering (the so-called elastic radiative tail) is also investigated. The calculation is based on the covariant parametrization of the deuteron quadrupole polarization tensor. Radiative corrections to the polarization observables are estimated numerically for the kinematical conditions of the current experiment at HERA.  相似文献

After a short discussion of the formalism for electron scattering the information on the neutron charge form factor is extracted from the deuteron structure function. The tensor analyzing power components T20 and T21 have been measured in elastic electron-deuteron scattering at the 2 GeV electron storage ring VEPP-3, Novosibirsk, in a four-momentum transfer range from 8.4 to 21.6 fm(-2). A new polarized internal gas target with an intense cryogenic atomic beam source was used. The new data determine the deuteron form factors G(C) and G(Q) in an important range of momentum transfer where the first node of the deuteron monopole charge form factor is located. The new results are compared with previous data and with some theoretical predictions.  相似文献
