A basis analog of theH-function of several variables

Estimates of the number of zeros of some functions with algebraic Taylor coefficients

We prove two theorems about the number of zeros of analytic functions from certain classes that include the SiegelE-andG-functions. By using these theorems, we arrive at a new proof of the Gel'fond-Schneider theorem and improve the result that the numerical determinant does not vanish in the proof of the Shidlovskii theorem. A multidimensional analog of a theorem due to zygmund

Zygmund proved an inequality describing the dependence of the modulus of continuity of the adjoint function on that of the original function lying in the space of 2π-periodic continuous functions. On the best linear approximation methods and the widths of certain classes of analytic functions

We discuss the best linear approximation methods in the Hardy spaceH _q q≥1, for classes of analytic functions studied by N. Ainulloev; these are generalizations (in a certain sense) of function sets introduced by L. V. Taikov. The exact values of their linear and Gelfandn-widths are obtained. The exact values of the Kolmogorov and Bernsteinn-widths of classes of analytic (in |z|<1) functions whose boundaryK-functionals are majorized by a prescribed functions are also obtained. Right closure of martingale sequences in the sense of theA-integral

In this paper new sufficient (necessary and sufficient for martingales of special form) conditions for the martingale closure from the right in the sense of theA-integral are given. These results follow from the theorem about passing to the limit under theA-integral. The theorem is established using the criterion for transposing iterated limits with respect to the base. Recurrence of the integral of an odd conditionally periodic function

Layer-projective lattices. I

The class of layer-projective lattices is singled out. For example, it contains the lattices of subgroups of finite Abelianp-groups, finite modular lattices of centralizers that are indecomposable into a finite sum, and lattices of subspaces of a finite-dimensional linear space over a finite field that are invariant with respect to a linear operator with zero eigenvalues. In the class of layer-projective lattices, the notion of type (of a lattice) is naturally introduced and the isomorphism problem for lattices of the same type is posed. This problem is positively solved for some special types of layer-projective lattices. The main method is the layer-wise lifting of the coordinates. Congruences Concerning Values of the Modular Functions <Emphasis Type="Italic">j</Emphasis><Subscript><Emphasis Type="Italic">n</Emphasis></Subscript>

The j-function j(z) = q⁻¹+ 744 + 196884q + ⋅s plays an important role in many problems. In [7], Zagier, presented an interesting series of functions obtained from the j-function: j_m(ζ) = (j(ζ) – 744)∨T₀(m), where T₀(m) is the usual m′th normalized weight 0 Hecke operator. In [3], Bruinier et al. show how this series of functions can be used to describe all meromorphic modular forms on SL₂(ℤ). Convergence of a sequence of weakly regular set functions

The present paper is devoted to generalizations of the Dieudonné theorem claiming that the convergence of sequences of regular Borelian measures is preserved under the passage from a system of open subsets of a compact metric space to the class of all Borelian subsets of this space. The Dieudonné theorem is proved in the case for which the set functions are weakly regular, nonadditive, defined on an algebra of sets that contains the class of open subsets of an arbitrary σ-topological space, and take values in a uniform space.
