酚醛型吸附树脂对咖啡因吸附性能的研究   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
利用 3种自制吸附树脂JDW 1、JDW 2、JDW 3和DuoliteS 761对咖啡因进行了静态和动态吸附研究 .结果发现 3种自制树脂对咖啡因的吸附性能明显优于DuoliteS 761 ;在吸附咖啡因的初始阶段 ,即达到 3 2 %~5 1 %平衡吸附百分率时 ,吸附速率数据和半经验速率方程很吻合 ,证实吸附咖啡因是粒扩散控制过程 ;酚醛型吸附树脂等温吸附咖啡因的平衡吸附数据符合Langmuir方程 ,相关系数在 0 99以上 ,因此 ,酚醛型吸附树脂吸附咖啡因属单分子层吸附 ;用 1mol LHCl和 40 %的甲醇溶液复合使用 ,效果很好  相似文献

Effect of the granulation process onto the thermodynamic and kinetic sorption parameters of two basic dyes (Basic Yellow 28-BY 28 and Basic Green 4-BG 4) was evaluated in the present work. The charge surface properties of the surfactant-modified aluminium-pillared clay (CTAB-Al-Mont-PILC) particles were not modified, and the isoelectric point remains constant after high shear wet granulation. The Gibbs free energy of both BY 28 and BG 4 sorption was negative and decreased with the granulation; the endothermic nature of the sorption process was confirmed by the positive values of ΔH°. Adsorption kinetics of the two dyes, studied at pH 6 and 150 mg L(-1), follow the pseudo-first order kinetic model with observed rate constants of 2.5-4.2×10(-2) min(-1). The intraparticle diffusion model, proposed by Weber and Morris, was applied, and the intraparticle plots revealed three distinct sections representing external mass transfer, intraparticle diffusion and adsorption/desorption equilibrium. Diffusion coefficients, calculated from the Boyd kinetic equation, increased with the granulation and the particle size. Pseudo-first order kinetic constants, intraparticle diffusion rate constants and diffusion coefficients were determined for two other initial concentrations (50 and 100 mg L(-1)) and include in a statistical study to evaluate the impact of granulation and initial concentration on the kinetic parameters. Kruskal-Wallis tests, Spearman's rank order correlation and factor analysis revealed a correlation between (i) the diffusion coefficients and granulation, and between (ii) the intraparticle diffusion rate constants and initial concentration.  相似文献

The applicability of the pseudo-second order equation (PSOE) has been explained on the ground of the model assuming that the overall sorption rate is limited by the rate of sorbate diffusion in the pores of sorbent (intraparticle diffusion model). Mathematical expressions have been proposed in order to describe the dependence of the pseudo-second order constant on such parameters as the initial sorbate concentration, the progress of the sorption process and the solid/solution ratio. Further, it has been shown that equilibrium sorption capacities estimated by using PSOE may be much lower than the actual ones: it depends mainly on how the sorption system is close to equilibrium. The values of parameters applied in calculations were taken from the literature and correspond to the biosorption systems designed to remove the heavy metals from the aqueous solution.  相似文献

The sorption of 2.4-dichloro phenoxyacetic acid (2.4-D) on two different activated carbons was determined using the batch equilibration technique. The calculated slopes of the Freundlich sorption isotherms were significantly less than 1. The (K) values were higher for the activated carbon which has the higher specific surface, and increased with NaCl concentration. The rate of attaining equilibrium of 2.4-D increased with a decrease in absorbent concentration. Dynamic modelling of the adsorption showed that a first order reversible kinetic model was followed for the adsorption process. The overall rate constant K′, the adsorption rate K1, the desorption rate constant K2, and the equilibrium constant Kc for the adsorption process were calculated.  相似文献

The sorption of basic dyes (methylene blue, malachite green, rhodamine B, crystal violet) onto a nonconventional organomineral sorbent-iron humate-was examined in the presence of various kinds of surfactants. It was found that nonionic (Triton X-100) and cationic (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) surfactants exhibited a relatively small effect on the dye sorption. Anionic surfactants (sodium dodecyl sulfate), on the other hand, affected (in most cases) dramatically the sorption of basic (cationic) dyes. Typically, the dye sorption was enhanced in the presence of low concentrations of anionic surfactants. At high surfactant concentrations, a steep decrease in the dye sorption was observed in some systems, probably due to the formation of micelles that solubilize the dye molecules and prevent their sorption. A model describing these experimental dependencies was proposed. The sorption of basic dyes onto iron humate may be described by the pseudo-second-order kinetic equation. Diffusion processes were identified as the main mechanisms controlling the rate of the dye sorption.  相似文献

The sorption of Acid Blue 9 onto the mixture of activated clay and activated carbon has been studied in terms of pseudo-first order and pseudo-second order chemical sorption processes. The batch sorption model, based on the assumption of a pseudo-second order mechanism, has been developed to predict the rate constant of sorption and the equilibrium capacity with the effect of initial dye concentration, mass of mixed sorbent, temperature and initial solution pH. The rates of sorption were found to conform to pseudo-second order kinetics with good correlation. Batch isotherm studies showed that the sorption of Acid Blue 9 by the mixed sorbent from aqueous solution was described by the Langmuir isotherm equation. A comparison of the evaluated equilibrium capacity of sorption has been made by the pseudo-second order rate equation as well as by the Langmuir isotherm and operating line method. In addition, an activation energy of sorption has also been determined based on the pseudo-second order rate constants.  相似文献

研究了酚醛型吸附树脂在水体系中对吡啶和N,N-二甲基苯胺的静态和动态吸附行为.结果表明,在水中树脂对吡啶和N,N-二甲基苯胺的吸附主要以疏水吸附机理进行;吸附吡啶和N.N-二甲基苯胺的初始阶段,即达到38.3~48.9%平衡吸附时,吸附速率数据和半经验速率方程很吻合:酚醛型吸附树脂等温吸附吡啶和N,N-二甲基苯胺的平衡吸附数据符合Langmuir方程,相关系数在0.99以上,酚醛型吸附树脂吸附吡啶和N,N-二甲基苯胺属单分子层吸附:用80%的乙醇溶液作洗脱剂来洗脱吸附吡啶已达饱和的JDW-2树脂,效果是很理想的.在3.6个床体积内洗脱率达91.52%,4.8个床体积内洗脱率达到94.85%。表明酚醛型吸附树脂具有优良的洗脱性能.  相似文献

In this paper, adsorption equilibrium and kinetics of three reactive dyes from their single-component aqueous solutions onto activated carbon were studied in a batch reactor. Effects of the initial concentration and adsorbent particle size on adsorption rate were investigated Adsorption equilibrium data were then correlated with several well-known equilibrium isotherm models. The kinetic data were fitted using the pseudo-first-order equation, the pseudo-second-order equation, and the intraparticle diffusion model. The respective characteristic rate constants were presented. A new adsorption rate model based on the pseudo-first-order equation has been proposed to describe the experimental data over the whole adsorption process. The results show that the modified pseudo-first-order kinetic model generates the best agreement with the experimental data for the three single-component adsorption systems.  相似文献

The amounts of Cu(II), Zn(II), and phosphate sorbed from single- and binary-sorbate systems on goethite (alpha-FeOOH) were measured. Experiments were carried out as a function of equilibrium pH (2-7), sorbate concentration (0.21-1.57 mM), and temperature (15-35 degrees C). The aqueous phase contained 0.1 M NaNO3 to maintain ionic strength constant. A convenient method was used to obtain sorption isotherms of single Cu(II), Zn(II), and phosphate at a fixed equilibrium pH, which could be well described by the Langmuir equation. Thermodynamic parameters for the sorption of single Cu(II) and phosphate including the free energies, isosteric enthalpies, and entropies were determined. In contrast to the single-sorbate systems, the sorption of metals was inhibited in the binary Cu(II)-Zn(II) system, whereas the sorption of both sorbates was enhanced in the binary Cu(II)-phosphate system under the conditions studied. The validity of the Langmuir competitive model for the prediction of the sorption isotherms in a binary Cu(II)-Zn(II) system was also discussed.  相似文献

Degradation tests in a photocatalytic membrane system have been carried out using TiO2 (Degussa P25) as catalyst and humic acid, organic dyes, 4-nitrophenol as pollutants. The influence of UV radiation and initial concentration of pollutant on the photodegradation rate were investigated in discontinuous and continuous systems. Experimental results showed that it is possible to obtain an efficient photocatalytic membrane process, but various parameters (e.g. pH) should be optimised to obtain high reaction rate and high membrane rejection of pollutants and their by-products.  相似文献

To elucidate the roles of graphene in photoelectric events and mass transfer during photocatalytic process is important for engineering graphene-semiconductor hybrid photocatalyst. Here, we demonstrated reduced graphene oxide (RGO) capturing dyes and photoinduced electrons during photocatalytic degradation of organic dyes in water. It captures dyes from water through adsorption and desorption irreversible hysteresis, and captures photoinduced electrons from semiconductor through surface junction. The RGO was attached to the surface of TiO(2) in the form of surface wrapping. After one-step photocatalytic reduction of graphene oxide (GO) and TiO(2) in ethanol-water solvent under UV irradiation, the RGO wrapped TiO(2) hybrid (graphene-w-TiO(2)) photocatalyst was obtained. Using visible absorption spectroscopy, we also demonstrated these captured dyes were degraded during photocatalysis. The photocatalytic test showed the RGO significantly improved the photocatalytic activity of this hybrid photocatalyst.  相似文献

Batch experiments were carried out for the sorption of methylene blue onto rice husk particles. The operating variables studied were initial solution pH, initial dye concentration, adsorbent concentration, and contact time. Equilibrium data were fitted to the Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm equations and the equilibrium data were found to be well represented by the Langmuir isotherm equation. The monolayer sorption capacity of rice husks for methylene blue sorption was found to be 40.5833 mg/g at room temperature (32 degrees C). The sorption was analyzed using pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic models and the sorption kinetics was found to follow a pseudo-second-order kinetic model. Also the applicability of pseudo second order in modeling the kinetic data was also discussed. The sorption process was found to be controlled by both surface and pore diffusion with surface diffusion at the earlier stages followed by pore diffusion at the later stages. The average external mass transfer coefficient and intraparticle diffusion coefficient was found to be 0.01133 min(-1) and 0.695358 mg/g min0.5. Analysis of sorption data using a Boyd plot confirms that external mass transfer is the rate limiting step in the sorption process. The effective diffusion coefficient, Di was calculated using the Boyd constant and was found to be 5.05 x 10(-04) cm2/s for an initial dye concentration of 50 mg/L. A single-stage batch-adsorber design of the adsorption of methylene blue onto rice husk has been studied based on the Langmuir isotherm equation.  相似文献

The photocatalytic degradation of two commercial textile azo dyes, namely C.I Reactive Black 5 and C.I Reactive Red 239, has been studied. TiO(2) P25 Degussa was used as catalyst and photodegradation was carried out in aqueous solution under artificial irradiation with a 125 W mercury vapor lamp. The effects of the amount of TiO(2) used, UV-light irradiation time, pH of the solution under treatment, initial concentration of the azo dye and addition of different concentrations of hydrogen peroxide were investigated. The effect of the simultaneous photodegradation of the two azo dyes was also investigated and we observed that the degradation rates achieved in mono and bi-component systems were identical. The repeatability of photocatalytic activity of the photocatalyst was also tested. After five cycles of TiO(2) reuse the rate of colour lost was still 77% of the initial rate. The degradation was followed monitoring the change of azo dye concentration by UV-Vis spectroscopy. Results show that the use of an efficient photocatalyst and the adequate selection of optimal operational parameters may easily lead to a complete decolorization of the aqueous solutions of both azo dyes.  相似文献

Electronic absorption and emission spectral characteristics of two ketocyanine dyes have been studied in solution in the presence of alkaline earth metal ions. Absorption spectral studies indicate complex formation between the ions and the dyes in the ground state. Values of the equilibrium constant and the enthalpy change characterizing dye (S0)-metal ion interaction have been determined from the absorption spectral data. In the presence of the metal ions the fluorescence spectrum of the dyes shows two bands pointing to the existence of two emitting species, viz., the solvated and the complexed dye in solution. Time-resolved studies of the dyes in solution containing the metal ions can be explained by a two-state model and indicate the presence of two emitting species in equilibrium. Values of the equilibrium constant for the interaction of metal ion and the dyes in the S1 state have also been estimated.  相似文献

Azo dyes are one of the synthetic dyes that have been used in many textile industries. Azo dye and their intermediate products are toxic, carcinogenic, and mutagenic to aquatic life. Removal of azo dyes is one of the main challenges before releasing the wastes discharged by textile industries. Photocatalytic degradation of azo dyes by nanoparticles is one of the environment‐friendly methods used for the removal of dyes from textile effluents. Therefore, this study focused on degradation of azo dye, Direct Red 264. Photocatalytic degradation of DR 264 azo dye was investigated using CdS and Ag/CdS nanoparticles immobilized on a cement bed in a continuous‐flow photoreactor under UV‐C exposure. The effect of the parameters of type and mass of catalyst, temperature, flow rate, dye concentration, and light intensity were evaluated for azo dye removal. Under optimal conditions, photocatalytic degradation of DR 264 azo dye using Ag/CdS nanoparticles immobilized on a cement bed in a continuous‐flow photoreactor obtained an efficiency of 99.99%. A developed kinetic model was proposed based on the intrinsic elementary reactions. The proposed model is in a good agreement with the Langmuir–Hinshelwood (L–H) equation. The pseudo–steady‐state approximation has considered for the concentration of hydroxyl radicals associated with the L–H model under certain conditions and explains consistently the dependence of the apparent kinetic parameter, kobs (the reaction rate constant), and KR (the adsorption equilibrium constant) with the light intensity. Based on the model, kobs for Ag/CdS was greater than the CdS nanoparticles.  相似文献

Research on photocatalytic degradation rate of azo dyes using nano-strontium titanate in photocatalysis process was the main goal of present study. In this regard, the influence of the main operating parameters such a photocatalyst concentration, dye concentration, temperature, pH and the presence of hydrogen peroxide upon dye removal rate under UV irradiation was studied. The absorbance of samples was measured by a UV–Vis spectrophotometer. The structure and morphology of nano-powder were investigated using scanning electron microscopy and crystalline structure by X-ray diffraction spectroscopy. The results reveal that nano-strontium titanate has high and significant photocatalytic activity and in comparison with nano-titanium dioxide was superior photocatalyst.  相似文献

It is shown that the nonexchange sorption of phenylalanine on dissimilar anion exchangers occurs by the same mechanism, determined by the structure of the amino acid, while the absorbed amount of substance depends on the sorbent structure. It is established that the micelle formation and the phenylalanineanion exchanger sorption equilibrium depend on the amount and nature of functional groups in anion exchangers. It is shown that, in the systems under investigation, the nonexchange sorption constant is determined by the constant of phenylalanine micelle formation.  相似文献

The visible absorption spectra of two oxazine dyes, brilliant cresyl blue and nile blue, in aqueous and aqueous urea solutions (0.01-1 M) were studied as a function of the dye concentration. Due to structural similarity of the investigated dyes, their spectral features were compared. The dimerization behavior of the dyes in water with or without urea was analyzed in terms of monomer-dimer equilibrium. The nature and structure of the interacting pairs for these dyes were discussed using the exciton theory. The dimerization constant values of the dyes in aqueous and aqueous urea solutions were calculated. For both the dyes in aqueous urea solutions, a reduction in dimer formation was observed. The excitonic parameters were compared with those of oxazine-1, which is structurally similar to the investigated dyes.  相似文献

The knowledge of sorption processes of nonelectrolytes in solution by solid adsorbents implies the study of kinetics, equilibrium, and thermodynamic functions. However, quite frequently the equilibrium isotherms are studied by comparing them with those corresponding to the Giles et al. classification (1); these isotherms are also analyzed by fitting them to equations based on thermodynamic or kinetic criteria, and even to empirical equations. Nevertheless, information obtained is more coherent and satisfactory if the adsorption isotherms are fitted by using an equation describing the equilibrium isotherms according to the kinetic laws. These mentioned laws would determine each one of the unitary processes (one or more) which condition the global process. In this paper, an adsorption process of prednisolone in solution by six carbonaceous materials is explained according to a previously proposed single model, which allows to establish a kinetic law which fits satisfactorily most of C vs t isotherms (2). According to the above-mentioned kinetic law, equations describing sorption equilibrium processes have been deducted, and experimental data points have been fitted to these equations; such a fitting yields to different values of adsorption capacity and kinetic equilibrium constants for the different processes at several temperatures. However, in spite of their practical interest, these constants have no thermodynamic signification. Thus, the thermodynamic equilibrium constant (K) has been calculated by using a modified expression of the Gaines et al. equation (3). Global average values of the thermodynamic functions have also been calculated from the K values. Information related to variations of DeltaH and DeltaS with the surface coverage fraction was obtained by using the corresponding Clausius-Clapeyron equations.  相似文献

Mesoporous activated carbon has been prepared from coconut coir dust as support for adsorption of some model dye molecules from aqueous solutions. The methylene blue (MB) and remazol yellow (RY) molecules were chosen for study of the adsorption capacity of cationic and anionic dyes onto prepared activated carbon. The adsorption kinetics was studied with the Lagergren first- and pseudo-second-order kinetic models as well as the intraparticle diffusion model. The results for both dyes suggested a multimechanism sorption process. The adsorption mechanisms in the systems dyes/AC follow pseudo-second-order kinetics with a significant contribution of intraparticle diffusion. The samples simultaneously present acidic and basic sites able to act as anchoring sites for basic and acidic dyes, respectively. Calorimetric studies reveal that dyes/AC interaction forces are correlated with the pH of the solution, which can be related to the charge distribution on the AC surface. These AC samples also exhibited very short equilibrium times for the adsorption of both dyes, which is an economically favorable requisite for the activated carbon described in this work, in addition to the local abundance of the raw material.  相似文献
