Zero product preserving maps of operator-valued functions

Let be locally compact Hausdorff spaces and , be Banach algebras. Let be a zero product preserving bounded linear map with dense range. We show that is given by a continuous field of algebra homomorphisms from into if is irreducible. As corollaries, such a surjective arises from an algebra homomorphism, provided that is a -algebra and is a semi-simple Banach algebra, or both and are -algebras.

     

Zero product preserving maps on Banach algebras of Lipschitz functions

Let (K,d) be a non-empty, compact metric space and α∈]0,1[. Let A be either lipα(K) or Lipα(K) and let B be a commutative unital Banach algebra. We show that every continuous linear map T:A→B with the property that T(f)T(g)=0 whenever f,g∈A are such that fg=0 is of the form T=wΦ for some invertible element w in B and some continuous epimorphism Φ:A→B.     

Zero product determined classical Lie algebras

We show that the Lie algebra ? of skew-symmetric matrices with respect to either transpose or symplectic involution is zero product determined. This means that every bilinear map {·,·} from ? × ? into a vector space X is of the form {x, y} = T ([x, y]) for some linear map T provided that the following condition is fulfilled: [x, y] = 0 implies {x, y} = 0.     

Commuting traces and commutativity preserving maps on triangular algebras

Let A be a triangular algebra. The problem of describing the form of a bilinear map satisfying B(x,x)x=xB(x,x) for all xA is considered. As an application, commutativity preserving maps and Lie isomorphisms of certain triangular algebras (e.g., upper triangular matrix algebras and nest algebras) are determined.     

Zero product determined Jordan algebras,I

We show that the Jordan algebra 𝒮 of symmetric matrices with respect to either transpose or symplectic involution is zero product determined. This means that if a bilinear map {.,?.} from 𝒮?×?𝒮 into a vector space X satisfies {x, y}?=?0 whenever x?○?y?=?0, then there exists a linear map T : 𝒮?→?X such that {x,?y}?=?T(x?○?y) for all x, y?∈?𝒮 (here, x?○?y?=?xy?+?yx).     

f-Harmonic maps of doubly warped product manifolds

In this paper, we study f-harmonicity of some special maps from or into a doubly warped product manifold. First we recall some properties of doubly twisted product manifolds. After showing that the inclusion maps from Riemannian manifolds M and N into the doubly warped product manifold M × _μ,λ N can not be proper f-harmonic maps, we use projection maps and product maps to construct nontrivial f-harmonic maps. Thus we obtain some similar results given in [21], such as the conditions for f-harmonicity of projection maps and some characterizations for non-trivial f-harmonicity of the special product maps. Furthermore, we investigate non-trivial f-harmonicity of the product of two harmonic maps.     

Convolution factorability of bilinear maps and integral representations

In this paper we consider a special class of continuous bilinear operators acting in a product of Banach algebras of integrable functions with convolution product. In the literature, these bilinear operators are called ‘zero product preserving’, and they may be considered as a generalization of Lamperti operators. We prove a factorization theorem for this class, which establishes that each zero product preserving bilinear operator factors through a subalgebra of absolutely integrable functions. We obtain also compactness and summability properties for these operators under the assumption of some classical properties for the range spaces, as the Dunford–Pettis property or the Schur property and we give integral representations by some concavity properties of operators. Finally, we give some applications for integral transforms, and an integral representation for Hilbert–Schmidt operators.     

Completely bounded disjointness preserving operators between Fourier algebras

In this paper, we characterize surjective completely bounded disjointness preserving linear operators on Fourier algebras of locally compact amenable groups. We show that such operators are given by weighted homomorphisms induced by piecewise affine proper maps.     

Multiplicative maps on ℬ(X)

A structural feature of multiplicative maps on ℬ(X) which sends some rank-1 operator to an operator of rank not greater than 1 is given, and based on it, some characterizations of automorphism of ℬ(X) are obtained and some multiplicative preserver problems are answered. 保体上上三角幂等矩阵的诱导映射

假设T_m(D)是体D上所有上三角m×m矩阵的集合.首先分别给出诱导映射和保幂等性的定义.然后为了刻画T_m(D)的保幂等的诱导映射,提出类序列的概念,同时描述类序列的性质.最后,使用矩阵技术和初等方法,借助于分类讨论得到了T_m(D)的保幂等的诱导映射的一般形式并且给出了某些例子,用以解释某些结果之间的关系.     

域上两类矩阵保逆的诱导映射

令F是一个域,S_n(F)是F上所有n×n上对称矩阵的集合.用T_n(F)记F上所有n阶上三角阵的集合.首先分别给出诱导映射和保逆性的定义.然后改进了关于复对称阵保逆的主要相关结果及其证明,得到了S_n(F)保逆诱导映射的一般形式,最后借助于类序列技术和初等方法刻画了T_n(F)保逆诱导映射.它推广和改进了带有附加条件(f_(ij)(x)=0x=0)的相关结果.
