We consider the Cauchy problem for the system of semilinear damped wave equations with small initial data:
We show that a critical exponent which classifies the global existence and the finite time blow up of solutions indeed coincides with the one to a corresponding semilinear heat systems with small data. The proof of the global existence is based on the LpLq estimates of fundamental solutions for linear damped wave equations [K. The initial-boundary value problem for semilinear wave equation systems with a strong dissipative term in bounded domain is studied. The existence of global solutions for this problem is proved by using potential well method, and the exponential decay of global solutions is given through introducing an appropriate Lyapunov function. Meanwhile, blow-up of solutions in the unstable set is also obtained.  相似文献

This article studies the Cauchy problem for the damped wave equation with nonlinear memory. For a noncompactly supported initial data with small energy, global existence and asymptotic behaviour of solutions are obtained when 1?≤?n?≤?3. This result generalized the previous result by Fino [Critical exponent for damped wave equations with nonlinear memory, Nonlinear Anal. 74 (2011), pp. 5495–5505], which dealt with the solution with compactly supported initial data.  相似文献

This paper deals with the existence and nonexistence of global positive solutions for two evolution P-Laplacian equations in exterior domains with inhomogeneous boundary conditions. We demonstrate that qc=n(p−1)/(n−p)qc=n(p1)/(np) is its critical exponent provided 2n/(n+1)<p<n2n/(n+1)<p<n. Furthermore, we prove that if max{1,p−1}<q≤qcmax{1,p1}<qqc, then every positive solution of the equations blows up in finite time; whereas for q>qcq>qc, the equations admit the global positive solutions for some boundary value f(x)f(x) and some initial data u0(x)u0(x). We also demonstrate that every positive solution of the equations blows up in finite time provided n≤pnp.  相似文献

Consider the initial boundary value problem for the linear dissipative wave equation (□+t)u=0 in an exterior domain . Using the so-called cut-off method together with local energy decay and L2 decays in the whole space, we study decay estimates of the solutions. In particular, when N?3, we derive Lp decays with p?1 of the solutions. Next, as an application of the decay estimates for the linear equation, we consider the global solvability problem for the semilinear dissipative wave equations (□+t)u=f(u) with f(u)=|u|α+1,|u|αu in an exterior domain.  相似文献

We show that the energy of solutions to the initial boundary value problem for the wave equation in exterior domains with a dissipation which is localized only near infinity tends to zero as the time goes to infinity. We present new decay estimates of solutions for the mixed problem of the equation vtt?vxx+vt=0, which has the weighted initial data [v0,v1]∈(H10(0,∞) ∩L1,γ(0,∞)) × (L2(0,∞)∩L1,γ(0,∞)) (for definition of L1,γ(0,∞), see below) satisfying γ∈[0,1]. Similar decay estimates are also derived to the Cauchy problem in ?N for uttu+ut=0 with the weighted initial data. For compactly supported initial data, which have a small energy we shall derive global in time existence results in the case when the power of the nonlinearity satisfies 2<p<+∞. This article discusses spherical pulse like solutions of the system of semilinear wave equations with the pulses focusing at a point and emerging outgoing in three space variables. In small initial data case, it shows that the nonlinearities have a strong effect at the focal point. Scattering operator is introduced to describe the caustic crossing. We study the exact controllability of q uncoupled damped string equations by means of the same control function. This property is called simultaneous controllability. An observability inequality is proved, which implies the simultaneous controllability of the system. Our results generalize the previous results on the linear wave without the dampings.
