We investigated the complex formation between various underivatized carbohydrates and the binuclear copper(II) complex 1, Cu(2)(bpdpo). A combined approach of UV/vis and CD spectroscopic investigations shows a large discrimination ability of 1 for structurally closely related monosaccharides in alkaline solution. The dominating form of the binuclear copper(II) complex consists of a [Cu(2)L(-)(H)(OH)(2)](+) species between pH 11 and 13, as determined from pH-dependent spectrophotometric titration experiments. The binding strengths of the 1:1 sugar-1 complexes, derived from the biologically important monosaccharides d-mannose (3) and d-glucose (5), is about 1.5 orders of magnitude different at pH 12.40. Moreover, a blue- or a red-shift of the absorption maximum of 1 accompanies the sugar binding and highlights the ability of 1 to discriminate carbohydrates. This phenomenon is due to the number of hydroxyl groups of the particular monosaccharide involved in chelation to the binuclear metal complex.  相似文献

A binuclear copper(II) complex [Cu2 (μ-pyo)2Br4] n (where pyo = pyridine N-oxide) has been synthesized and its structure determined by X-ray crystallography. This complex crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/c, with unit cell dimensions a = 11.020(3) Å, b = 10.049(3) Å, c = 7.905(2) Å, β = 110.609(3)°, and Z = 2. The structure was refined to final R = 0.0311 and wR = 0.0721 for 1302 observed reflections (I > 2σ(I)). In the complex, two Cu(II) ions are bridged by two pyo ligands and four bromides coordinate the Cu(II); the distance between the bridged Cu(II) ions is 3.261 Å. The variable-temperature (4–300 K) magnetic susceptibility data show that the magnetic moment is zero. Thus, there exists very strong anti-ferromagnetic coupling between the bridged binuclear Cu(II) ions. Density functional calculations yield a singlet-triplet splitting 2J = ?1355 cm?1.  相似文献

A MeOH solution of 1,10-phenanthroline reacts with Cu(fum)[fum = (OOCCH = CHCOO)2–] to yield a novel binuclear copper(II) unsaturated dicarboxylate complex of general formula [Cu2(fum)(phen)4](fum) · 11H2O, whose crystal structure has been determined by X-ray diffraction. Two copper(II) atoms are bridged by a fumarate group, and each copper(II) atom is coordinated to two 1,10-phenanthroline molecules in a distorted trigonal bipyramidal configuration. The i.r. spectrum shows the presence of the monodentate carboxylate ligand. The electronic reflectance spectrum in the solid state suggest that the d–d transitions of the complex is in a trigonal bipyramidal ligand field. The temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility studies suggest that a weak ferromagnetic interaction exists between the two copper(II) atoms when the temperature exceeds 130 K.  相似文献

The heterobinuclear complex, [CuMn(L)(phen)2](ClO4)2· H2O, [L = N,N-bis(N-hydroxyethyleneamine)oxamido, phen=1,10-phenanthroline], has been synthesized with N,N-bis(N-hydroxyethylaminoethyl)oxamido as the bridging ligand. The electronic reflectance spectrum indicates the presence of exchange-coupling interaction between bridging MnII and CuII ions. The variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility of the complex was measured over the 4–300K range. The magnetic coupling parameter is consistent with an antiferromagnetic exchange between the MnII ion and CuII ion and fits the data for a heterobinuclear CuII–MnII magnetic exchange model based on the Hamiltonian operator (H= –2JS1S2, S1=1/2, S2=5/2), giving the antiferromagnetic coupling parameter of 2J=–74.0cm–1.  相似文献

A binuclear complex [Cu2(DTB)(DMF)4(H2O)]·2DMF (DTB = 1,4-dinitro-2,3,5,6-tetracarboxylatobenzenic anion; DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide) has been synthesized and its crystal structure determined by X-ray crystallography. In the complex Cu ion is located in a distorted square pyramidal environment with two oxygen atoms O(1) and O(3) from two carboxylate groups, another two oxygen atoms O(7) and O(8) from terminal ligands of two DMF molecules, and a fifth coordinated oxygen atom O(9) from the terminal ligand of one H2O molecule, in which the O(8) atom is situated in the apex of the pyramid. DTB as bridging ligand coordinates two Cu ions through its four carboxylate groups. The variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility of the complex was measured in the 5–300 K range. The magnetic coupling parameter is consistent with a ferromagnetic exchange between the two copper(II) centers and the data fit a binuclear magnetic exchange model based on the Hamiltonian operator ( = -2J12, 1 = 2= 1/2), giving the ferromagnetic coupling parameter of 2J = 1.80 cm- 1. This is the first example of a tetracarboxylatobenzenic bridging complex exhibiting ferromagnetic interaction.  相似文献

A new binuclear copper complex [CuLCl2]2, [L = 1-(p-tolylsulfonyl)-1,4,7- triazacyclononane], has been synthesized and structured as well as magnetically characterized. In the complex, each copper(II) atom is located in the center of a distorted square pyramidal configuration of five coordinating atoms (two nitrogen atom and three chlorine atom). Two copper(II) atoms were bridged by two chlorine anions (Cl1 and Cl1a). The distance between two copper(II) atoms is 3.483 Å. An antiferromagnetic exchange coupling effect exists in the complex.  相似文献

At room temperature, dibenzoyl peroxide undergoes oxidative addition reaction with metallic copper powder and pyridine N-oxide (triphenylphosphine oxide or 2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthrolin) which affords the last products as binuclear copper(II) complexes, [Cu(C5H5NO)-(C6H5COO)2]2(1), [Cu(OPPh3)(C6H5COO)2]2(2) and [Cu(C6H5COO)(C26H2oN2)](3, C26H2oN2 is 2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthrolin). The structure of the complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra, TG-DTA and magnetic property. Crystals(1) are triclinic, space group P1,a=0.92617(36),b=1.06973(17), c=1.08813(29) nm, a=59.60(2)°, β=74.83(3)°,γ=72.80(2)°, V=0.880 nm3, Dc=1.520 g/cm3, Z=1, R=0.044, Rw=0.048, Mr=805.78, 3477 reflections with I > 3σ(I). Each copper(Ⅱ) ion is coordinated by two bridging bidentate benzoate ligands and one pyridine N-oxide or triphenylphosphine oxide to form dimeric binuclear molecules. The structure of the compound(1) shows a clear centre of symmetry.  相似文献

N-benzesulfonyl-L-glutamic acid-bridged binuclear nickel(II) complex, [Ni2(Bs-Glu)2(bipy)2 (H2O)2]?·?3H2O (Bs-Glu?=?N-benzesulfonyl-L-glutamic acid dianion, bipy?=?2,2′-bipyridine), has been synthesized and characterized structurally and magnetically. It crystallizes in the triclinic space group P 1. The α-carboxyl group coordinates to Ni(II) in a monodentate mode, while the γ-carboxyl group coordinates in a chelating mode. In the temperature range 2–300?K, magnetic measurements show that the exchange interaction of the two Ni(II) ions is antiferromagnetic, and the values for J, g are ?2.47?cm?1 and 2.18, respectively.  相似文献

Extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) measurements have been recorded at the K-edge of copper in binuclear monohydroxo-bridged copper(II) complexes [(bpy)2Cu–OH–Cu(bpy)2](ClO4)3 (1) and [(phen)2Cu–OH–Cu(phen)2](C1O4)3 (2) and dihydroxo-bridged copper(II) complexes [Cu2(μ–OH)2(bipy)2]SO4?·?5H2O (3) and [Cu2(μ–OH)2(phen)2]SO4?·?5H2O (4) (where bpy and phen are 2,2′-bipyridine and 1,10-phenanthroline, respectively) using the dispersive EXAFS beamline at 2?GeV Indus-2 synchrotron source at RRCAT, Indore, India. The EXAFS data have been analyzed using the software, Athena and Artemis. Theoretical models have been generated for 1 and 3 using available crystallographic data and then fitted to their experimental EXAFS data to obtain the structural parameters, which include bond-lengths, coordination numbers, and thermal disorders. The results obtained have been found to be comparable with their crystallographic results. As the crystallographic data for 2 and 4 are not available in the literature, we have determined their structural parameters by fitting their experimental EXAFS data with the same theoretical models which were generated for their corresponding analogous complexes 1 and 3, respectively. The structural parameters thus determined have been reported. Also, on the basis of the analysis of the EXAFS data, these four complexes have been shown to be binuclear, i.e. they contain two metals. Further, the values of the chemical shifts suggest that copper is in +2 oxidation state in these complexes.  相似文献
