In this paper we discuss, in terms of quiver with relations, su?cient and necessary conditions for an algebra to be a quasitilted algebra. We start with an algebra with global dimension at most two and we give a su?cient condition to be a quasitilted algebra. We show that this condition is not necessary. In the case of a strongly simply connected schurian algebra, we discuss necessary conditions, and combining both types of conditions, we are able to analyze if some given algebra is quasitilted. As an application we obtain the quiver with relations of all the tilted and cluster tilted algebras of Dynkin type Ep.  相似文献

We define the socle of an n-Lie algebra as the sum of all the minimal ideals. An n-Lie algebra is called metric if it is endowed with an invariant nondegenerate symmetric bilinear form. We characterize the socle of a metric n-Lie algebra, which is closely related to the radical and the center of the metric n-Lie algebra. In particular, the socle of a metric n-Lie algebra is reductive, and a metric n-Lie algebra is solvable if and only if the socle coincides with its center. We also calculate the metric dimensions of simple and reductive n-Lie algebras and give a lower bound in the nonreductive case.  相似文献

We prove that a real function is operator monotone (operator convex) if the corresponding monotonicity (convexity) inequalities are valid for some normal state on the algebra of all bounded operators in an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space. We describe the class of convex operator functions with respect to a given von Neumann algebra in dependence of types of direct summands in this algebra. We prove that if a function from ℝ+ into ℝ+ is monotone with respect to a von Neumann algebra, then it is also operator monotone in the sense of the natural order on the set of positive self-adjoint operators affiliated with this algebra.  相似文献

We define the new algebra. This algebra has a parameter q. The defining relations of this algebra at q = 1 coincide with the basic relations of the alternating group. We also give the new subalgebra of the Hecke algebra of type A which is isomorphic to this algebra. This algebra is free of rank half that of the Hecke algebra. Hence this algebra is regarded as a q-analogue of the alternating group.All the isomorphism classes of the irreducible representations of this algebra and the q-analogue of the branching rule between the symmetric group and the alternating group are obtained.  相似文献

We define a higher level version of the affine Hecke algebra and prove that, after completion, this algebra is isomorphic to a completion of Webster's tensor product algebra of type A. We then introduce a higher level version of the affine Schur algebra and establish, again after completion, an isomorphism with the quiver Schur algebra. An important observation is that the higher level affine Schur algebra surjects to the Dipper-James-Mathas cyclotomic q-Schur algebra. Moreover, we give nice diagrammatic presentations for all the algebras introduced in this paper.  相似文献

We prove that, if H is a finite-dimensional semisimple Hopf algebra, and A is an FCR H-module algebra over an algebraically closed field, then A is a PI-algebra, provided the subalgebra of invariants is a PI-algebra. We also show that if A is an affine algebra with an action of a finite group G by automorphisms, the subalgebra of the fixed points AG is in the center of A, and the characteristic of the ground field is either zero or relatively prime to the order of G, then AG is affine. Analogous results are proved for graded algebras and H-module algebras over a semisimple triangular Hopf algebra over a field of characteristic zero. We prove also that, if A is an H-module algebra with an identity element, and H is either a semisimple group algebra or its dual, then, if A is semiprimitive (semiprime), then so is AH.  相似文献

The standard reduced bar complex B(A) of a differential graded algebra A inherits a natural commutative algebra structure if A is a commutative algebra. We address an extension of this construction in the context of E-infinity algebras. We prove that the bar complex of any E-infinity algebra can be equipped with the structure of an E-infinity algebra so that the bar construction defines a functor from E-infinity algebras to E-infinity algebras. We prove the homotopy uniqueness of such natural E-infinity structures on the bar construction.We apply our construction to cochain complexes of topological spaces, which are instances of E-infinity algebras. We prove that the n-th iterated bar complexes of the cochain algebra of a space X is equivalent to the cochain complex of the n-fold iterated loop space of X, under reasonable connectedness, completeness and finiteness assumptions on X.  相似文献

We study the cluster automorphism group of a skew-symmetric cluster algebra with geometric coefficients. We introduce the notion of gluing free cluster algebra, and show that under a weak condition the cluster automorphism group of a gluing free cluster algebra is a subgroup of the cluster automorphism group of its principal part cluster algebra (i.e., the corresponding cluster algebra without coefficients). We show that several classes of cluster algebras with coefficients are gluing free, for example, cluster algebras with principal coefficients, cluster algebras with universal geometric coefficients, and cluster algebras from surfaces (except a 4-gon) with coefficients from boundaries. Moreover, except four kinds of surfaces, the cluster automorphism group of a cluster algebra from a surface with coefficients from boundaries is isomorphic to the cluster automorphism group of its principal part cluster algebra; for a cluster algebra with principal coefficients, its cluster automorphism group is isomorphic to the automorphism group of its initial quiver.  相似文献

Let A be a Banach algebra. The second dual A** can be equipped with two multiplications, each of which is a natural extension of the original multiplication in A. The algebra A is said to be Arens regular if these two multiplications coincide. We give necessary (and, for some classes of algebras, sufficient) conditions for the regularity of a Segal algebra. A hom-associative algebra is an algebra whose associativity is twisted by an algebra homomorphism. We show that the Hochschild type cochain complex of a hom-associative algebra carries a homotopy G-algebra structure. As a consequence, we get a Gerstenhaber algebra structure on the cohomology of a hom-associative algebra. We also find similar results for hom-dialgebras.  相似文献

We introduce the spin Hecke algebra, which is a q-deformation of the spin symmetric group algebra, and its affine generalization. We establish an algebra isomorphism which relates our spin (affine) Hecke algebras to the (affine) Hecke-Clifford algebras of Olshanski and Jones-Nazarov. Relation between the spin (affine) Hecke algebra and a nonstandard presentation of the usual (affine) Hecke algebra is displayed, and the notion of covering (affine) Hecke algebra is introduced to provide a link between these algebras. Various algebraic structures for the spin (affine) Hecke algebra are established.  相似文献

We consider the permutation group algebra defined by Cameron and show that if the permutation group has no finite orbits, then no homogeneous element of degree one is a zero-divisor of the algebra. We proceed to make a conjecture which would show that the algebra is an integral domain if, in addition, the group is oligomorphic. We go on to show that this conjecture is true in certain special cases, including those of the form H Wr S and H Wr A, and show that in the oligormorphic case, the algebras corresponding to these special groups are polynomial algebras. In the H Wr A case, the algebra is related to the shuffle algebra of free Lie algebra theory.  相似文献

We define and study the property finite presentability in the category  of Hopf algebras that are smash product of universal enveloping algebra of a Lie algebra by a group algebra. We show that for such Hopf algebras finite presentability is equivalent with finite presentability as an associative k-algebra.  相似文献

We develop the homology theory of the algebra of a regular semigroup, which is a particularly nice case of a quasi-hereditary algebra in good characteristic. Directedness is characterized for these algebras, generalizing the case of semisimple algebras studied by Munn and Ponizovksy. We then apply homological methods to compute (modulo group theory) the quiver of a right regular band of groups, generalizing Saliola’s results for a right regular band. Right regular bands of groups come up in the representation theory of wreath products with symmetric groups in much the same way that right regular bands appear in the representation theory of finite Coxeter groups via the Solomon-Tits algebra of its Coxeter complex. In particular, we compute the quiver of Hsiao’s algebra, which is related to the Mantaci-Reutenauer descent algebra.  相似文献

We give a unified explanation of the geometric and algebraic properties of two well-known maps, one from permutations to triangulations, and another from permutations to subsets. Furthermore we give a broad generalization of the maps. Specifically, for any lattice congruence of the weak order on a Coxeter group we construct a complete fan of convex cones with strong properties relative to the corresponding lattice quotient of the weak order. We show that if a family of lattice congruences on the symmetric groups satisfies certain compatibility conditions then the family defines a sub Hopf algebra of the Malvenuto–Reutenauer Hopf algebra of permutations. Such a sub Hopf algebra has a basis which is described by a type of pattern avoidance. Applying these results, we build the Malvenuto–Reutenauer algebra as the limit of an infinite sequence of smaller algebras, where the second algebra in the sequence is the Hopf algebra of non-commutative symmetric functions. We also associate both a fan and a Hopf algebra to a set of permutations which appears to be equinumerous with the Baxter permutations.  相似文献

A synaptic algebra is an abstract version of the partially ordered Jordan algebra of all bounded Hermitian operators on a Hilbert space. We review the basic features of a synaptic algebra and then focus on the interaction between a synaptic algebra and its orthomodular lattice of projections. Each element in a synaptic algebra determines and is determined by a one-parameter family of projections—its spectral resolution. We observe that a synaptic algebra is commutative if and only if its projection lattice is boolean, and we prove that any commutative synaptic algebra is isomorphic to a subalgebra of the Banach algebra of all continuous functions on the Stone space of its boolean algebra of projections. We study the so-called range-closed elements of a synaptic algebra, prove that (von Neumann) regular elements are range-closed, relate certain range-closed elements to modular pairs of projections, show that the projections in a synaptic algebra form an M-symmetric orthomodular lattice, and give several sufficient conditions for modularity of the projection lattice.  相似文献

We consider the M(2, 3) minimal Liouville gravity, whose state space in the gravity sector is realized as irreducible modules of the Virasoro algebra. We present a recursive construction for BRST cohomology classes based on using an explicit form of singular vectors in irreducible modules of the Virasoro algebra. We find a certain algebra acting on the BRST cohomology space and use this algebra to find the operator algebra of physical states.  相似文献

We extend the Larson–Sweedler theorem [Amer. J. Math. 91 (1969) 75] to weak Hopf algebras by proving that a finite dimensional weak bialgebra is a weak Hopf algebra iff it possesses a non-degenerate left integral. We show that the category of modules over a weak Hopf algebra is autonomous monoidal with semisimple unit and invertible modules. We also reveal the connection of invertible modules to left and right grouplike elements in the dual weak Hopf algebra. Defining distinguished left and right grouplike elements, we derive the Radford formula [Amer. J. Math. 98 (1976) 333] for the fourth power of the antipode in a weak Hopf algebra and prove that the order of the antipode is finite up to an inner automorphism by a grouplike element in the trivial subalgebra AT of the underlying weak Hopf algebra A.  相似文献

The automorphism groups of algebras are found in many papers. Using auto-invariance, we find the automorphism groups of the Laurent extension of the polynomial ring and the quantum n-plane (respectively, twisting polynomial ring) in this work. As an application of the results of this work, we can find the automorphism group of a twisting algebra. We define a generalized Weyl algebra and show that the generalized Weyl algebra is simple. We also find the automorphism group of a generalized Weyl algebra. We show that the generalized Weyl algebra A m,m+n is the universal enveloping algebra of the generalized Witt algebra W(m,m + n).
