The surface composition and surface microtopography of corn starch cryogels obtained from a 3% starch sol containing organic flavoring agents were studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The cryogels withn-octanol,n-octyl methyl ketone, andn-octyl acetate have a well-developed microtopography and their surface layer (5–20 nm) is enriched in sorbed compounds.n-Octyl acetate, unliken-butyl acetate, influences the composition and microstructure of the cryogel surface. The sorbedn-octyl acetate occupies 20–25% of the surface, which has a well-developed topography and a porous structure. Drying and evacuation do not change the concentration of the organic sorbates having a C8 alkyl group in the surface layer. Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Capillary gas chromatography was used to study noncovalent sorption ofn-butyl,n-hexyl, andn-octyl acetates from aqueous solutions by corn starch cryotextures. In the concentration range of 0.5–15.0 mmol L−1, about 38%n-butyl acetate, 70%n-hexyl acetate, and 98%n-octyl acetate are extracted from aqueous solutions. The sorption of the alkyl acetates depends on the alkyl chain length, indicating the hydrophobic character of their interaction with the corn starch cryotexture. No competitive sorption between acetates in the mixture was observed. Binding of alkyl acetates occurs during the cryosponge formation, due probably to the templation at the stage of starch sol, fixation in the cryosponge, and sorption on the surface of its walls. The microstructure of a corn starch sol was studied by scanning tunneling microscopy. The influence ofn-octyl acetate on the microstructure was found. The original starch sol contains compact anisodiametric particles 500–800 nm in size. The addition ofn-octyl acetate produces friable oval associates consisting of fine spherical particles 50–20 nm in size. Published inIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Slow evaporation of hydrochloric acid solutions of zirconium(iv) or hafnium(iv) oxochlorides and cucurbituril in air afforded compounds with composition [M4(OH)8(H2O)16]Cl8·(C36H36N24O12)·16H2O, where M = Zr (1) or Hf (2). According to the X-ray diffraction data, complexes 1 and 2 are isostructural. Their crystal structures can be described as packings of polymer chains consisting of alternating cucurbituril molecules and tetranuclear cations [M4(OH)8(H2O)16]8+ linked to each other via an extensive network of hydrogen bonds. Compound 2 is the first structurally characterized tetranuclear hafnium aqua complex.  相似文献

Supramolecular compounds of the di-, trideca-, and triacontanuclear aluminum aqua hydroxo complexes, viz., [Al2(OH)2(H2O)8]4+, [Al12(AlO4)(OH)24(H2O)12]7+, and [Al30O8(OH)56(H2O)26]18+, respectively, with the organic macrocyclic cavitand cucurbit[6]uril (C36H36N24O12) were prepared by evaporation of aqueous solutions of aluminum nitrate and cucurbit[6]uril after the addition of pyridine, ammonia, KOH, or NaOH at pH 3.1–3.8. X-ray diffraction study demonstrated that the aqua hydroxo complexes are linked to the macrocycle through hydrogen bonds between the hydroxo and aqua ligands of the polycations and the portal oxygen atoms of cucurbit[6]uril. The reaction of hydrated magnesium or calcium 4-nitrobenzoate (4-nba) generated in situ, with imidazole (Im) results in the formation of the complexes [Mg(H2O)2(Im)2(4-nba)2] 1 and [Ca(H2O)3(Im)(4-nba)2]·Im 2, which exhibit the same metal:4-nba:Im ratio but different degrees of hydration. Complex 1 crystallizes in the triclinic space group and the Mg atom is located on an inversion centre, while 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic P21/c space group and all atoms are located in general positions. In 1 the Im ligands, which are trans to each other, are coordinated to Mg, while 2 contains coordinated as well as free Im. The monodentate 4-nba ligands are disposed trans to each other in 1, while they adopt a cis orientation in 2 resulting in different supramolecular structures. Complex 1 exhibits two types of H-bonding interactions namely O-H···O and N-H···O, while in 2 three varieties of H-bond, viz. O-H···O, N-H···O and O-H···N are observed. The Im ligand ligand functions as a bifurcated H-bond donor in 1 while the O atom of the nitro group functions as a H-bond acceptor. In contrast, the nitro group in 2 is not involved in any H-bonding interactions. The free Im in 2 functions as a bifurcated acceptor and forms an extended chain linking adjacent complex molecules. The chains thus formed are further cross-linked with the aid of H-donor bonds from both the free as well as the coordinated Im. Both 1 and 2 exhibit π-π stacking interactions. Complex 1 is thermally more stable as compared to 2, and both complexes can be dehydrated to the corresponding anhydrous complexes by heating at 140 and 100°C respectively. At elevated temperatures, both the complexes can be pyrolysed to the corresponding oxide. The anhydrous complexes can be rehydrated to obtain the starting hydrated materials.  相似文献

11 and 12 molar reactions of dioxouranium(VI) acetate dihydrate with the monobasic bidentateSchiff bases,o-HOC6H4CH=NR oro-HOC10H6CH=NR (R=C2H5,n-C3H7,n-C4H9 or C6H5) and bibasic tridentateSchiff bases,o-HOC6H4CH=NR(OH) oro-HOC10H6CH=NR(OH) (R=–CH2CH(CH3)- or —CH2CH2CH2–) have been studied and derivates of the type UO2(OAc)2(SBH), UO2(OAc)2(SBH)2, UO2(OAc)2(SBH 2) and UO2(OAc)2(SBH 2)2 (whereSBH andSBH 2 represent monobasic bidentate and bibasic tridentateSchiff base molecules respectively) have been isolated. These have been characterized by elemental analysis, conductance measurements and IR spectral studies.

The complex of cupric chloride with DMF immobilized on the surface of silica gel exhibits high catalytic activity in the reaction of tetrachloromethane withn-decane. The fact that the reaction is inhibited by phenols and oxygen implies that it occurs by a radical mechanism. The immobilized catalyst that contains copper atoms connected through chlorine bridges and organic donor ligands is the most effective. The reactions of o-semiquinonediimine complexes M[o-(NH)(NPh)C6H4]2 (M = Ni (1) or Pt (2)) with carbonyl-containing iron and rhenium compounds were studied. The reactions of complexes 1 or 2 with Fe(CO)5 afforded the Fe2(CO)6[-(NH)(NPh)C6H4] complex (3) containing the bridging N-phenyl-o-phenylenediamide ligand in high yield. The reaction of the Re(CO)2(NO)Cl2(thf) complex with complex 2 gave rise to the unusual mononuclear rhenium(iii) complex, viz., Re(Ph)[-1-o-(NH)(NHPh)C6H4](CO)(NO)Cl2 (4), no changes in the geometry of N-phenyl-o-phenylenediamine bound to the Re(NO)(CO)2Cl2 fragment being observed. The reaction of complex 2 with the Re(CO)5Cl complex, which has been preliminarily treated with silver triflate, afforded the heterometallic complex (CO)Pt[-N,N-o-(N)(NPh)C6H4]2ReCl[(NH)(NPh)C6H4]. The structures of the resulting complexes were established by X-ray diffraction analysis.  相似文献

Two new neodymium complexes, [Nd2(abglyH)6(2,2′-bipy)2(H2O)2] · 4H2O 1 and {[Nd(abglyH)3(H2O)2] · (4,4′-bipy) · 7H2O}n 2 (abglyH2 = N-P-acetamidobenzenesulfonyl-glycine acid, 2,2′-bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine, 4,4′-bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine), have been synthesized and their structures have been measured by X-ray crystallography. In 1, nine-coordinated Nd(III) ions are bridged by two synsyn bidentate and two tridentate bridging carboxylate groups from four different abglyH anions to form dinuclear motifs, which are further connected into a 3-D supramolecular framework via hydrogen bonds between the binuclear motifs and the uncoordinated water molecules. In 2, eight-coordinated Nd(III) ions are linked by six carboxylate groups adopting a synsyn bidentate bridging fashion to form a 1-D inorganic–organic alternating linear chain. These polymeric chains generate microchannels extending along the a direction, and these cavities are occupied by discrete tetradecameric water clusters, which interact with their surroundings and finally furnish the 3-D supramolecular network via hydrogen bonds. At the same time, π–π stacking interactions between benzene rings from abglyH anions also play an important role in stabilizing the network.  相似文献

Previously unknown N-(2-nitroxyethyl)isonicotinamide was synthesized by the reaction of isonicotinoyl chloride with 2-nitroxyethylamine and was used as a ligand in the reactions with PdCl2 and PtCl2 to prepare new complexes, viz., trans-bis[(2-nitroxyethyl)isonicotinamide-N]dichloropalladium(ii) and cis-bis[(2-nitroxyethyl)isonicotinamide-N]dichloroplatinum(ii), respectively. The structure of the dimer associates of aniline and n-propylamine with dimethylsulfoxide, isobutyronitrile, and N-methylpiperidone was investigated by ab initio calculations. Stable configurations of the complexes and their structural and energy characteristics have been determined. The reaction of Cp′(CpB)ZrCl2 [CpB5-C5H4B(C6F5)2] with LiNHCMe3 gave Cp′(CpB)(μ-NHCMe3)ZrCl, with a constrained-geometry type Cp---B---N chelate ligand. The 19F-NMR spectrum of the zirconium complexes, as well as that of the titanium analogue, reveals C---FH---N hydrogen bonding to one of the ortho-F atoms of a C6F5 ring, strong enough to persist in solution at room temperature. The reaction of Cp′(CpB)TiCl2 with LiPPh2 affords the Cp---B---P chelate complex Cp′(CpB)(μ-PPh2)TiCl, the first example of a crystallographically characterised Ti(IV) phosphido compound. A 19F-NMR study of a number of adducts of B(C6F5)3 with prim- and sec-amines demonstrates the importance of intramolecular hydrogen bonding to C6F5 in this class of compounds, while there are no such interactions in B(C6F5)3(PHR2) (R=Cy, Ph). The crystal structures of Cp′(CpB)(μ-PPh2)TiCl, B(C6F5)3(NHMe2) and B(C6F5)3(PHCy2) are reported.  相似文献

Pt/SO4 2−−ZrO2 calcined at 873 K shows the same catalytic activity forn-hexane isomerization as the calcined and reduced sample. A platinum reduction peak did not appear in the TPR profile and the presence of Pt0 was detected by XPS on the only calcined Pt/SO4 2−−ZrO2. Nevertheless, this calcined material does not show hydrogen chemisorption and cyclohexane dehydrogenation activity.  相似文献

The molecular structures, the energies of complex formation, and the vibrational spectra of the binary molecular complexes of SiF4 with water, methanol, and dimethyl ether were calculated by the ab initio MP2 method with the basis sets up to 6-311++G(2d,2p). In the complexes, which have been detected previously by IR spectroscopy in low-temperature (12—15 K) inert matrices, the five-coordinate Si atom is in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal environment, which is formed through the donor-acceptor interaction of the O atom with the Si atom and is additionally stabilized by the H...F hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

New Schiff base (H2L) ligand is prepared via condensation of o-phthaldehyde and 2-aminophenol. The metal complexes of Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) with the ligand are prepared in good yield from the reaction of the ligand with the corresponding metal salts. They are characterized based on elemental analyses, IR, solid reflectance, magnetic moment, electron spin resonance (ESR), molar conductance, 1H NMR and thermal analysis (TGA). From the elemental analyses data, the complexes are proposed to have the general formulae [M(L)(H2O)nyH2O (where M = Mn(II) (n = 0, y = 1), Fe(II) (n = y = 0), Co(II) (n = 2, y = 0), Ni(II) (n = y = 2), Cu(II) (n = 0, y = 2) and Zn(II) (n = y = 0), and [MCl(L)(H2O)]·yH2O (where M = Cr(III) and Fe(III), y = 1–2). The molar conductance data reveal that all the metal chelates are non-electrolytes. IR spectra show that H2L is coordinated to the metal ions in a bi-negatively tetradentate manner with ONNO donor sites of the azomethine N and deprotonated phenolic-OH. This is supported by the 1H NMR and ESR data. From the magnetic and solid reflectance spectra, it is found that the geometrical structures of these complexes are octahedral (Cr(III), Fe(III), Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes), tetrahedral (Mn(II), Fe(II) and Zn(II) complexes) and square planar (Cu(II) complex). The thermal behaviour of these chelates is studied and the activation thermodynamic parameters, such as, E*, ΔH*, ΔS* and ΔG* are calculated from the DrTGA curves using Coats-Redfern method. The parent Schiff base and its eight metal complexes are assayed against two fungal and two bacterial species. With respect to antifungal activity, the parent Schiff base and four metal complexes inhibited the growth of the tested fungi at different rates. Ni(II) complex is the most inhibitory metal complex, followed by Cr(III) complex, parent Schiff base then Co(II) complex. With regard to bacteria, only two of the tested metal complexes (Mn(II) and Fe(II)) weakly inhibit the growth of the two tested bacteria.  相似文献

Two new 3,6-di-tert-butyl-o-benzosemiquinone complexes of copper(i) (2a and2b) with 1,3,5,7-tetraphenyl-1,5-diaza-3,5-diphosphacyclooctane (1a) and 1,5-dibenzyl-3,7-diphenyl-1,5-diaza-3,7-diphosphacyclooctane (1b), respectively, were synthesized. Their structures in solution and in the crystalline state were studied. According to the results of X-ray diffraction analysis, the copper(i) atom in molecules2a and2b is in a pseudotetrahedral environment and is directly coordinated to two P atoms of the diazadiphosphacyclooctane ligand and two O atoms of the benzosemiquinone ligand. In complex2a, ligand1a adopts a chair-boat conformation typical of all complexes with eight-membered cyclic 1,5-donors studied previously. Unlike ligand1a, the ligand in complex2b adopts a chair-chair (crown) conformation identical with that of the free ligand. Both complexes are paramagnetic in the solid state and in solutions. The parameters of the isotropic ESR spectra of complexes2a and2b are typical of four-coordinateo-semiquinone copper(i) complexes with bidentate bisphosphine ligands. Based on analysis of the isotropic ESR spectra, it was suggested that compound2b in solutions exists as two isomers, which differ in the conformation of the eight-membered heterocycle (chair-boat or chair-chair). The dissolution of DyI2 in diamine Me2N(CH2)3NH2 (DMDA) is accompanied by the disproportionation of the salt, hydrogen evolution, and oxidation of DyII to DyIII. The [Dy(DMDA)8]I3 complex (1) was isolated from the solution. The neodymium amide amine complex (PriNH)NdI2(IPA)4 was produced by the reaction of NdI2 with isopropylamine (IPA). The recrystallization of this complex from IPA afforded the NdI3(IPA)4 complex (2). The recrystallization of (PriNH)NdI2(IPA)4 from a toluene-IPA mixture gave the complex with five amine ligands, NdI3(IPA)5 (3). The structures of compounds 1, 2, and 3 were established by X-ray diffraction. Dedicated to Academician G. A. Abakumov on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
