The THGEM detector without and with a CsI has been tested successfully. The optimal parame- ters of THGEM have been determined from eight samples. The UV photoelectric effect of the CsI photocathode is observed. The changing tendency related to the extraction efficiency (ε<,extr>) versus the extraction electric field is measured, and several electric fields influencing the anode current are adjusted to adapt to the THGEM detector with a reflective CsI photocathode.  相似文献

The gas gain and energy resolution of single and double THGEM detectors (5 cm×5 cm effective area) with mini-rims (rim less than 10 μm) were studied. The maximum gain was found to reach 5×103 and 2×105 for single and double THGEMs respectively, while the energy resolution for 5.9 keV X-rays varied from 18% to 28% for both single and double THGEM detectors of different hole sizes and thicknesses. Different combinations were also investigated of noble gases (argon, neon) mixed with a quantity of other gases (isobutane, methane) at atmospheric pressure.  相似文献

为了满足10-100 keV高能X射线光电探测器研究的需要,对CsI光阴极在该能量范围的响应灵敏度进行了研究.基于高能量X射线光子与材料相互作用的物理过程,分析了康普顿散射等效应对CsI响应灵敏度的影响.推导了CsI的响应灵敏度与二次电子平均逃逸深度和光阴极厚度的关系式和二次电子平均逃逸深度与入射光子能量的关系式,计算了CsI在10-100 keV范围内的响应灵敏度,计算结果与实验测试数据相符,验证了分析与推导的可靠性.根据计算可以获得不同入射X射线能量下CsI光阴极的最佳厚度,从而为高能X射线光电探测器的设计优化提供了理论参考.  相似文献

为解决采用Au光电阴极、开放式结构的分幅变像管探测效率低、稳定性差的问题,研制了一种采用CsI光电阴极的密封式分幅变像管。为了对比不同光电阴极对X射线的响应强度,密封式分幅变像管制作有一条Au微带阴极和一条CsI微带阴极。完成了密封式分幅变像管的结构设计、工艺制作和实验测试。研究结果表明:当加载半高宽度200 ps、幅值−2.7 kV的选通脉冲时测得其时间分辨为65 ps;在非单色高能X射线源照射下,CsI阴极的静态响应强度是Au阴极的3.4倍;大气环境中存储1000 h后密封式分幅变像管的静态响应强度仅降低到完成制作时的83%。上述结果表明采用CsI阴极的密封式分幅变像管具有更高的探测效率和稳定性,可有效提升X射线分幅成像质量和可靠性。  相似文献

借助指数掺杂与均匀掺杂光电阴极的量子效率公式,提出了采用加权平均法表示的反射式变掺杂光电阴极量子效率理论模型.使用该模型对某掺杂结构的反射式GaAs光电阴极量子效率曲率进行了拟合,获得了最佳的拟合效果,且模型的拟合结果能够定量地揭示材料的变掺杂结构,在不同入射光波段对阴极量子效率的贡献不相同这一现象.针对此现象进行了深入地分析和探讨. 关键词: GaAs 变掺杂 光电阴极 量子效率  相似文献

We have developed a superior solar-blind ultraviolet (UV) photocathode with an AlxGa1-xN photocathode (x ~ 0.45) in semi-transparent mode, and assessed spectra radiant sensitivity related to practical use. Before being grown over a basal plane sapphire substrate by low-pressure metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD), a reasonable design was made to the photocathode epitaxy structure, focusing on the AlxGa1-xN: Mg active layer, then followed by a comprehensive analysis of the structural and optical characterization. The spectra radiant sensitivity is peaked of 41.395 mA/W at wavelength 257 nm and then decreases by about 3 to 4 decades at 400 nm demonstrating the ability of this photocathode for solar-blind application prospects.  相似文献

提出了一种测量金阴极的紫外光谱响应特性的方法.利用微通道板(microchannel plate,简称MCP)对电子的高增益特性,通过直接测量金阴极MCP探测器输出电流表征金阴极的紫外光响应.测量金阴极MCP探测器在200—340 nm波段的光谱响应,得到金阴极的谱响应特性:金作为逸出功较大的金属,也具有碱金属才有的选择性光电效应. 其选择峰值位于5.72 eV处,通过理论验证了该峰值的位置.  相似文献

To investigate the configurations of the valence protons in Borromean nucleus 17Ne, a CsI(Tl) detector array, which consists of 9 CsI crystals (26×26×20mm3) coupled with photodiodes, has been successfully used in the 17Ne experiment to measure the energy of protons. In order to find the optimal working conditions and get the best energy resolutions, several technologies (including various wrapping materials, wrapping and coupling methods) have been used. The testing results showed that the best energy resolution of the CsI(Tl) is about 3.3% using the 241 Am α-source. The primary testing results with the proton beam were also provided.  相似文献

The stability of a reflection-mode GaAs photocathode has been investigated by monitoring the photocurrent and the spectral response at room temperature.We observe the photocurrent of the cathode decaying with time in the vacuum system under the action of Cs current,and find that the Cs atoms residing in the vacuum system are helpful in prolonging the life of the cathode.We examine the evolution and analyse the influence of the barrier on the spectral response of the cathode.Our results support the double dipolar model for the explanation of the negative electron affinity effect.  相似文献

With new generation neutron sources, traditional neutron detectors cannot satisfy the demands of the applications, especially under high flux. Furthermore, facing the global crisis in ~3He gas supply, research on new types of neutron detector as an alternative to ~3He is a research hotspot in the field of particle detection. GEM(Gaseous Electron Multiplier) neutron detectors have high counting rate, good spatial and time resolution, and could be one future direction of the development of neutron detectors. In this paper, the physical process of neutron detection is simulated with Geant 4 code, studying the relations between thermal conversion efficiency, boron thickness and number of boron layers. Due to the special characteristics of neutron detection, we have developed a novel type of special ceramic n THGEM(neutron THick GEM) for neutron detection. The performance of the n THGEM working in different Ar/CO_2 mixtures is presented, including measurements of the gain and the count rate plateau using a copper target X-ray source. A detector with a single n THGEM has been tested for 2-D imaging using a ~(252)Cf neutron source. The key parameters of the performance of the n THGEM detector have been obtained, providing necessary experimental data as a reference for further research on this detector.  相似文献

运用以密度泛函理论为基础的相对论性离散变分方法(DV-Xα)模拟计算了完整的和含有F心、F+心以及F2心的碘化铯(CsI)晶体的电子结构,得到了含F心和F+心以及F2心的CsI晶体电子态密度分布以及它们可能产生的光学跃迁模式.计算结果表明,含F心和F2心的CsI晶体的禁带宽度明显变窄,F心和F2心的能级都出现在禁带中并且作为施主能级位于导带底部,利用过渡态理论计算得到其能级向Cs的5d轨道发生光学跃迁,能量跃迁值分别为1.69eV和1.15eV,该结果与实验结果完全一致,F+心没有能级出现在禁带中.计算结果从理论上成功地解释了碘化铯晶体经过辐照后电子型色心所产生的吸收带起源问题.  相似文献

为获得高亮度低发射度的电子束,研制高重复频率高平均功率的光阴极驱动激光系统非常关键。利用光纤激光技术,设计了100 MHz和1.3 GHz的激光系统。激光系统为全光纤结构,采用了掺镱光子晶体光纤作为放大器增益介质。在初步验证实验中,红外激光输出27 W,倍频后绿光达到6 W。  相似文献

In this paper, the performance of a type of domestic THGEM (THick Gaseous Electron Multiplier) working in Ar/CO2 mixtures is reported in detail. This kind of single THGEM can provide a gain range from 100 to 1000, which is very suitable for application in neutron detection. In order to study its basic characteristics as a reference for the development of a THGEM based neutron detector, the counting rate plateau, the energy resolution and the gain of the THGEM have been measured in different Ar/CO2 mixtures with a variety of electrical fields. For the Ar/CO2(90%/10%) gas mixture, a wide counting rate plateau is achieved from 720 V to 770 V, with a plateau slope of 2.4%/100 V, and an excellent energy resolution of about 22% is obtained at the 5.9 keV full energy peak of the 55Fe X-ray source.  相似文献

Unstable mechanical structure, low energy efficiency, and cooling requirements limit the application of conventional x-ray tubes based on filament as cathode in several academic areas. In this paper, we demonstrate a light-controlled pulsed x-ray tube using multialkali cathode as electron generator. The photocathode active area of the light controlled x-ray tube is 13.2 cm2 (41 mm in diameter), which provides high photoelectron-emitting efficiency up to 0.288 mA/lm in 460-nm LED and 2.37-mA maximum tube current. Furthermore, the modulation ability from 1 kHz to 100 kHz of the x-ray tube is tested. The results suggest that the light-controlled pulsed x-ray tube has easy modulation and short x-ray pulse properties and is promising to be the next generation x-ray tube with wide applications in medical radiation therapy as well as the calibration for detectors and scintillators.  相似文献

介绍了一种基于THGEM的X射线光斑寻迹探测器,用于X射线单光子计量技术研究和测量,探测器有效面积200 mm×200 mm,采用128路基于ASIC和FPGA的高速读出电子学,探测器分为中间高分辨区和外围低分辨区两部分,两部分共用一套读出电子学。实验在中国计量科学研究院利用X光机产生的束线,测试光斑位置、光斑精细分布以及探测器的位置分辨。实验结果表明,探测器实现了同时对光斑寻迹和光斑的精细测量,探测器中间高分辨区x方向的位置分辨率为0.63 mm(FWHM),y方向位置分辨率为0.62mm(FWHM),探测器各项性能指标均达到了预期目标。This paper introduces the detector of X-ray spot tracing based on the THGEM. It is used for X ray single photon measurement technology research and measurement with an effective area of 200 mm×200 mm. The circuit board has 128 array of high speed readout electronics based on ASIC and FPGA. And it is divided into two parts:the middle area of high sensitive and the peripheral area of low sensitive. The two parts share a set of readout electronics. The experiment tests the position and the fine structure of the beam line produced by X ray machine in National Institute of Metrology. The results of the experimental show that the detector realizes both the spot tracing and the fine structure of the spot. The position resolution is 0.63 mm in x direction and 0.62 mm in y direction in high sensitive of the detector, which achieve the desired goal of preliminary design.  相似文献

能量回收型直线加速器(ERL)可能提供低发射度、高平均流强的连续电子束团,其电子枪的光阴极需要高重复频率、高平均功率的驱动激光系统。采用先进的光纤激光技术,特别是在激光系统中采用了掺镱光子晶体增益光纤,能实现高重复频率高平均功率激光输出。利用啁啾脉冲放大(CPA)技术,通过优化设计,将重复频率100 MHz和1.3 GHz的两套激光振荡源集成到同一个激光系统,整个激光系统的结构简化,使用方便。两种重复频率激光倍频效率分别达到50%和30%,绿光能达到5 W以上,满足光阴极实验平台的使用要求。  相似文献
