The dynamic behaviour of a rigid rotor supported on plain journal bearings was studied, focusing particular attention on its nonlinear aspects. Under the hypothesis that the motion of the rotor mass center is plane, the rotor has five Lagrangian co-ordinates which are represented by the co-ordinates of the mass center and the three angular co-ordinates needed to express the rotor's rotation with respect to its center of mass. In such conditions, the system is characterised not only by the nonlinearity of the bearings but also by the nonlinearity due to the trigonometric functions of the three assigned angular co-ordinates. However, if two angular co-ordinates have values that are generally quite small because of the small radial clearances in the bearings, the system is de facto linear in these angular co-ordinates. Moreover, if the third angular co-ordinate is assumed to be cyclic [18], the number of degrees of freedom in the system is reduced to four and nonlinearity depends solely on the presence of the journal bearings, whose reactions were predicted with the -film, short bearing model. After writing the equations of motion in this way and determining a numerical routine for a Runge–Kutta integration the most significant aspects of the dynamics of a symmetrical rotor were studied, in the presence of either pure static or pure couple unbalance and also when both types of unbalance were present. Two categories of rotors, whose motion is prevailingly a cylindrical whirl or a conical whirl, were put under investigation.  相似文献

The nonlinear synchronous full annular rub motion of a flexible rotor induced by the mass unbalance and the contact-rub force with rigid and flexible stator is studied analytically. The nonlinear property is due to the dry friction force between stator and rotor. The exact solutions of the synchronous full annular rub motion and its run speed regions are obtained. The stability of the synchronous full annular rub motion is discussed analytically. The stability criterion and the stability regions of the synchronous full annular rub motion are obtained. A simplified approximate criterion formula for dynamic stability is also derived under the conditions of large impact stiffness, small damping and small friction. The simplified criterion formula can be used conveniently in engineering and matches the real situations of industry.  相似文献

This paper deals with the long term behaviour of flexible rotor systems, which are supported by nonlinear bearings. A system consisting of a rotor and a shaft which is supported by one oil journal bearing is investigated numerically. The shaft is modelled using finite elements and reduced using a component mode synthesis method. The bearings are modelled using the finite-length bearing theory. Branches of periodic solutions are calculated for three models of the system with an unbalance at the rotor. Also self-excited oscillations are calculated for the three models if no mass unbalance is present. The results show that a mass unbalance can stabilize rotor oscillations.  相似文献

汽车涡轮增压器广泛采用浮环轴承支承的小型轻质转子系统,以实现100 000~300 000 r/min的工作转速,提高发动机功率和动力性能,并降低燃油消耗和排放. 在此超高速工况下,动压油膜的强非线性作用和转子固有的不平衡效应使该系统呈现出复杂的动力学现象,其中油膜涡动、振荡、跳跃、倍周期分岔和混沌等非线性动力学行为对增压器的健康运转意义重大,因而备受关注. 本文作者从摩擦学动力学耦合的角度出发,基于流体动压轴承润滑理论和有限差分法计算非稳态油膜压力,结合达朗贝尔原理和传递矩阵法建立了转子离散化动力学方程,提出了一种由双油膜浮环支承的涡轮增压器转子系统动力学模型,并从转子轨迹、轴承偏心率、频谱响应、庞加莱映射和分岔特性等方面比较分析,描述了该非线性轴承-转子系统的不平衡效应及油膜失稳特征. 结果表明:转子一般在相对低速下作稳定的单周期不平衡振动,在高转速下其被油膜失稳引起的次同步涡动所抑制,但不平衡量的增加可阻碍转子以拟周期运动通向混沌运动的路径;适当不平衡补偿下,由于内、外油膜间交互的非线性刚度和阻尼作用,在油膜失稳区间之间的中高速区会出现适合增压器健康运转的稳定区间.   相似文献

Interaction of a rotor with a stationary part is a kind of serious malfunction that could result in a catastrophic failure if remained undetected. Past analytical and numerical simulation work on rotor?Cstator interactions mainly focus on the vibrations along the lateral directions. The torsional degree of freedom (dof) is usually ignored. The present work is aimed to study the influence of a rotor to stator contact on the lateral-torsional coupled vibrations. A mathematical model consisting of interacting vibratory systems of rotor and stator is presented. The contact is modeled using contact stiffness, damping and Coulomb friction. Equations derived for kinetic, potential and dissipation energies and non-conservative external forces are used in the Langrange??s equations for deriving the motion equations for the rotor?Cstator system. Equations revealed that the lateral-torsional motion coupling exists twofold for the rotor. The unbalance couples lateral-torsional motion of rotor through inertia and damping matrices. Coupling due to the rotor?Cstator friction occurs through a force vector. The nonlinear equations are solved using a Runge?CKutta fourth-order numerical integration scheme using relatively small time step. Results obtained through the proposed model are compared with the identical rotor?Cstator system without torsional dof and differences are identified. Effect of several parameters such as speed, relative inertia, coefficient of friction and contact damping on the bifurcation behavior of the rotor?Cstator motion has been investigated. Vibration motions presented in the forms of spectrum cascade of the coast-up response, and orbit and Poincaré plots of the steady-state response are exhibiting rich dynamic behavior of the system.  相似文献

Recently, the constructions of rotors rotating on passive-type magnetic bearings designed with the use of high-temperature superconductors have been developed [1, 2]. One still open problem in the stability analysis of rotors on such bearings is the problem on the influence of the bearing rigidity characteristic on the system dynamics. The stability of a steady-state motion of a rotor with arbitrary eccentricity is studied in [3]. The present paper deals with the dynamics of a steady-state motion of a balanced rotor rotated by an infinite-power motor; in this case, the elastic force acting on the rotor has a hysteresis characteristic [4]. The equations of motion are described by a nonautonomous system of differential equations which is reduced with prescribed accuracy to an autonomous system, and the latter is then analyzed [5].  相似文献

Based on the nonlinear theory, the unbalanced responses of a fixed-tilting-pad gas-lubricated journal bearing-rigid rotor system are investigated. A?time-dependent mathematical model is established to describe the pressure distribution of gas-lubricated journal bearing with nonlinearity. The rigid rotor supported by a fixed-tilting-pad self-acting gas-lubricated journal bearing is modeled. The differential transformation method has been employed to solve the time-dependent gas-lubricated Reynolds equation, and the dynamic motion equation has been solved by the direct integral method. The unbalanced responses of the rotor system supported by fixed-tilting-pad gas-lubricated journal bearings are analyzed by the orbit diagram, Poincaré map, time series, and spectrum diagram. The numerical results reveal periodic, period-3, and quasiperiodic motions of nonlinear behaviors of the system. Finally, the effects of pivot ratio and preload coefficient on the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of the fixed-tilting-pad self-acting gas-lubricated journal bearing-rotor system are investigated.  相似文献

首先将转子系统的动力响应问题归结为2n维未知向量v的一阶非线性动力学方程dv/dt=Hv+f(v,t),并给出了求解这一方程的一次近似式法和三次多项式迫近法。在非稳态、非线性油膜力等作用下,以刚性Jeffcott转子与112个自由度的汽轮发电机组低压转子系统为例,用上述求解方法分析了它们的动力响应及非线性动力学特性;其问,还将计算结果与Runge—Kutta法、Newmark法的相应结果进行了比较,并深入讨论了数值稳定性问题。汽轮发电机组的算例表明对一些具有较复杂的非线性右端项,、同时规模又较大的问题,如果采用四阶Runge—Kutta法,才算几步就因数值骤然增大而失控;但若用同样步长的一次近似式,由于它是一种显式的无条件稳定算式,则计算过程迅速且结果合理可靠。  相似文献

本文提供了一个闭环控制电磁轴承-转子试验系统,在电磁力的控制作用下,重量为4公斤、直径为50毫米的转子完全悬浮于二个径向电磁轴承之中,转速可达3000转/分。本文还建立了此闭环控制系统的数学模型,通过数字仿真分析了其动态特性,探讨了控制器参数对转子运动的控制效果以及与电磁轴承动刚度之间的变化关系。  相似文献

Transient and steady state dynamic response of a class of slider-crank mechanisms is investigated. Specifically, the class of mechanisms examined involves rigid members but compliant supporting bearings. Moreover, the mechanisms are subjected to non-ideal forcing. Namely, both the driving and the resisting loads are expressed as a function of the angular coordinate describing the crank rotation. First, an appropriate set of equations of motion is derived by applying Lagrange's equations. These equations are strongly nonlinear due to the large rigid body rotation of the crank and the connecting rod, as well as due to the nonlinearities associated with the bearing action and the form of the driving and the resisting loads. Consequently, the dynamics of the resulting dynamical system is examined by solving the equations of motion numerically. More specifically, transient response is captured by direct integration, while determination of complete branches of steady state response is achieved by applying appropriate numerical methodologies. Initially, mechanisms whose crankshaft is supported by bearings with rolling elements and linear stiffness characteristics are examined. Then, numerical results are presented for rolling element bearings with nonlinear stiffness characteristics. Finally, the study is focused on mechanisms supported by hydrodynamic bearings. In all cases, the attention is focused on investigating the influence of the system parameters on its dynamics. Moreover, models with constant crank angular velocity are first analysed, since they provide valuable insight into some aspects of the system dynamics. Eventually, the emphasis is shifted to the general case of non-ideal forcing, originating from the dependence of the driving and the resisting moments on the crankshaft motion.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the dynamics of a so-called fluid balancer; a hula hoop ring-like structure containing a small amount of liquid which, during rotation, is spun out to form a thin liquid layer on the outermost inner surface of the ring. The liquid is able to counteract unbalanced mass in an elastically mounted rotor. The paper derives the equations of motion for the coupled fluid–structure system, with the fluid equations based on shallow water theory. An approximate analytical solution is obtained via the method of multiple scales. For a rotor with an unbalance mass, and without fluid, it is well known that the unbalance mass is in the direction of the rotor deflection at sub-critical rotation speeds, and opposite to the direction of the rotor deflection at super-critical rotation speeds (when seen from a rotating coordinate system, attached to the rotor). The perturbation analysis of the problem involving fluid shows that the mass center of the fluid layer is in the direction of the rotor deflection for any rotation speed. In this way a surface wave on the fluid layer can counterbalance an unbalanced mass.  相似文献

Auxiliary bearings are utilized in practical installations of magnetically suspended rotating machines with the main functions to provide support to the rotating machines during their non-operational period, and to protect the magnetic bearings and the rotating assembly from being damaged due to power loss during operation. The relatively small clearances of these bearings, which are typically half of that of the magnetic bearings, may at time cause contact between the rotor and these bearings to occur even during normal operation of the rotating machines. The work presented herein examines the bifurcations in the response of a rigid rotor supported by load sharing between magnetic and auxiliary bearings, which occurs during contact between the rotor and the auxiliary bearings. Numerical results revealed the occurrence of period-doubling bifurcation resulting in vibrations of period-2, -4, -8, -16 and -32, as well as quasi-periodic and chaotic vibrations. The results further showed that for a relatively small rotor imbalance magnitude, which is within the prescribed level of certain classes of practical rotating machinery, such nonlinear dynamical phenomena would not have been discovered had the auxiliary bearings forces been omitted in the model of the rotor-bearing system. As these bearings are essential elements in practical installations of magnetically supported rotating machines, failure to include them in the rotor-bearing model may result in incorrect prediction of the rotor’s vibration response.  相似文献

The performance of a ball bearing–rotor system is often limited by the occurrence of subharmonic resonance with considerable vibration and noise. In order to comprehend the inherent mechanism and the feature of the subharmonic resonance, a symmetrical rotor system supported by ball bearings is studied with numerical analysis and experiment in this paper. A 6DOF rotordynamic model which includes the non-linearity of ball bearings, Hertzian contact forces and bearing internal clearance, and the bending vibration of rotor is presented and an experimental rig is offered for the research of the subharmonic resonance of the ball bearing–rotor system. The dynamic response is investigated with the aid of orbit and amplitude spectrum, and the non-linear system stability is analyzed using the Floquet theory. All of the predicted results coincide well with the experimental data to validate the proposed model. Numerical and experimental results show that the resonance frequency is provoked when the speed is in the vicinity of twice synchroresonance frequency, while the rotor system loses stability through a period-doubling bifurcation and a period-2 motion i.e. subharmonic resonance occurs. It is found that the occurrence of subharmonic resonance is due to the together influence of the non-linear factors, Hertzian contact forces and internal clearance of ball bearings. The effect of unbalance load on subharmonic resonance of the rotor system is minor, which is different from that of the sliding bearing–rotor system. However, the moment of couple has an impact influence on the subharmonic resonances of the ball bearing–rotor system. The numerical and experimental results indicate that the subharmonic resonance caused by ball bearings is a noticeable issue in the optimum design and failure diagnosis of a high-speed rotary machinery.  相似文献

This paper considers the stability and eigenvalue analyses for a bladed rotor which goes under cylindrical and conical whirling. The model consists of a group of flexible blades which are modeled by beams and rigid disk on the elastic bearings. The model is a Hamiltonian system which is perturbed by small dissipative forces. Krein’s theorem reveals that the forward whirling mode and the blade collective motion may cause instability when their frequencies cut themselves in the Campbell diagram. An unstable interaction between the blades and the conical whirling is discovered. The eigenmode and eigenvalue evolutions are determined on the stability boundary. The bifurcation analysis is performed by applying multiple scales method around the stability boundary. It is shown that the damping distribution between the blades and the bearings may shift the unstable mode.  相似文献

The modal interaction which leads to Hamiltonian Hopf bifurcation is studied for a nonlinear rotating bladed-disk system. The model, which is discussed in the paper, is a Jeffcott rotor carrying a number of planar blades which bend in the plane of the motion. The rigid rotating disk is supported on nonlinear bearings. It is supposed that this dynamical system is a Hamiltonian system which is perturbed by small dissipative and nonlinear forces. Krein’s theorem is employed for obtaining a stability criterion. The nonlinear eigenvalue equations on the stability boundary are turned into ordinary differential equations (ODEs) by differentiating them over the rotating speed. By solving these ODEs, the eigenmodes and the eigenvalues on the stability boundary are obtained. The bifurcation analysis is performed by applying multiple scales method around the boundary. The rotor nonlinear behavior and damping effects are studied for different conditions on the rotating speed and nonlinearity type by the bifurcation equation. It is shown that the damping distribution between the blades and bearings may shift the unstable mode. Depending on the nonlinearity type, subcritical and supercritical Hopf bifurcation are possible.  相似文献

An approximate method for nonlinear dynamic analysis of turbulent journal bearings supporting an unbalanced rigid shaft is proposed. The method is based on two assumptions: the separation of variables for pressure and a parabolic pressure distribution in the axial direction of the bearing. To take into account inertia effects, the well-known algebraic turbulent model based on the Prandtl mixing length hypothesis is used. Using the Constantinescu's approach, the pressure equation is modified by introducing two turbulent coefficients which are depending on the local Reynolds number. The nonlinear equations of motion for the rotor-bearing system are solved by means of the Euler's scheme, and the journal centre trajectories are examined for cases with and without unbalance forces. To illustrate the validity of the present study, three cases of journal bearings are analysed. The accuracy of the minimum film thickness, the dynamic transmissibility coefficient and the peak-to-peak displacement amplitudes obtained by the proposed methodology are comparable to the more elaborate and time consuming 2-D finite difference solution, while the turbulent journal centre orbits are comparable to those obtained experimentally.It is concluded that the optimised short bearing theory shows the advantage of minimising the computation time required for nonlinear dynamic analysis of laminar and turbulent journal bearings without any significant loss of accuracy.  相似文献

This paper presents a new class of globally asymptotic stabilizing control laws for dynamics and kinematics attitude motion of a rotating rigid body. The rigid body motion is controlled with the help of a rotor system with internal friction. The Lyapunov technique is used to prove the global asymptotic properties of the stabilizing control laws. The obtained control laws are given as functions of the angular velocity, Cayley–Rodrigues and Modified-Rodrigues parameters. It is shown that linearity and nonlinearity of the control laws depend not only upon the Lyapunov function structure but also the rotors friction. Moreover, some of the results are compared with these obtained in the literature by other methods. Numerical simulation is introduced.  相似文献

This paper presents the study of axial gyrostats dynamics. The gyrostat is composed of two rigid bodies: an asymmetric platform and an axisymmetric rotor aligned with the platform principal axis. The paper discusses three types of gyrostats: oblate, prolate, and intermediate. Rotation of the rotor relative to the platform provides a source of small internal angular momentum and does not affect the moment of inertia tensor of the gyrostat. The dynamics of gyrostats without external torque is considered. The dynamics is described by using ordinary differential equations with Andoyer–Deprit canonical variables. For undisturbed motion, when the internal moment is equal to zero, the stationary solutions are found, and their stability is studied. General analytical solutions in terms of elliptic functions are also obtained. These results can be interpreted as the development of the classical Euler case for a solid, when to one degree of freedom—the relative rotation of bodies—is added. For disturbed motion of the gyrostats, when there is a system with slowly varying parameters, the adiabatic invariants are obtained in terms of complete elliptic integrals, which are approximately equal to the first integrals of the disturbed system. The adiabatic invariants remain approximately constant along a trajectory for long time intervals during which the parameter changes considerably. The results of the study can be useful for the analysis of dynamics of dual-spin spacecraft and for studying a chaotic behavior of the spacecraft.  相似文献
