Doppler ultrasound is widely used in medical applications to extract the blood Doppler flow velocity in the arteries via spectral analysis. The spectral analysis of non-stationary signals and particularly Doppler signals requires adequate tools that should present both good time and frequency resolutions. It is well-known that the most commonly used time-windowed Fourier transform, which provides a time-frequency representation, is limited by the intrinsic trade-off between time and frequency resolutions. Parametric methods have then been introduced as an alternative to overcome this resolution problem. However, the performance of those methods deteriorates when high non-stationarities are present in the Doppler signal. For the purpose of accurately estimating the Doppler frequency shift, even when the temporal flow velocity is rapid (high non-stationarity), we propose to combine the use of the time-varying autoregressive (AR) method and the (dominant) pole frequency. This proposed method performs well in the context where non-stationarities are very high. A comparative evaluation has been made between classical (FFT based) and AR (both block and recursive) algorithms. Among recursive algorithms we test an adaptive recursive method as well as a time-varying recursive method. Finally, the superiority of the time-varying parametric approach in terms of frequency tracking and delay in the frequency estimate is illustrated for both simulated and in vivo Doppler signals.  相似文献

衍射光的多普勒频移是与光栅运动速度有关的量.激光束依次通过动光栅、静光栅衍射,然后使1对光频不同、彼此平行又能部分重叠的衍射光束通过硅光电池进行光电转换,得到的信号电流的频率等于多普勒频移.信号电流经I/V转换、f/V转换和A/D转换后,由单片机测出电压,由此就可以确定动光栅的运动速度.最后对利用双光栅的多普勒频移测气垫导轨上滑块的速度进行分析和讨论.  相似文献

We demonstrate a technique to reduce first-order Doppler shifts in crossed atomic/molecular and laser beam setups by aligning two counterpropagating laser beams as part of a Sagnac interferometer. Interference fringes on the exit port of the interferometer reveal minute deviations from perfect antiparallelism. Residual Doppler shifts of this method scale with the ratio v/(4d) of the typical atomic/molecular velocity v and the laser beam diameter d. The method is implemented for precision frequency calibration studies at deep-UV wavelengths, both in one- and two-photon excitation schemes: the 6s(2) --> 6s30p(3/2)J=1 line in Yb at 199 nm and the 4p(6) --> 4p(5)p[1/2](0) transition in Kr at lambda=212 nm. The achieved precision of 6 x 10(-10) is limited by the characteristics of the laser system.  相似文献

Bacterial biofilm accumulation around dental implants is a significant problem leading to peri-implant diseases and implant failure. Cavitation occurring in the cooling water around ultrasonic scaler tips can be used as a novel solution to remove debris without any surface damage. However, current clinically available instruments provide insufficient cavitation around the activated tip surface. To solve this problem a critical understanding of the vibro-acoustic behaviour of the scaler tip and the associated cavitation dynamics is necessary. In this research, we carried out a numerical study for an ultrasound dental scaler with a curved shape tip vibrating in water, using ABAQUS based on the finite element method. We simulated the three-dimensional, nonlinear and transient interaction between the vibration and deformation of the scaler tip, the water flow around the scaler and the cavitation formation and dynamics. The numerical model was well validated with the experiments and there was excellent agreement for displacement at the free end of the scaler. A systematic parametric study has been carried out for the cavitation volume around the scaler tip in terms of the frequency, amplitude and power of the tip vibration. The numerical results indicate that the amount of cavitation around the scaler tip increases with the frequency and amplitude of the vibration. However, if the frequency is far from the natural frequency, the cavitation volume around the free end decreases due to reduced free end vibration amplitude.  相似文献

Studded snow tyres are used to prevent automobiles from slipping on ice-covered roads. In this paper, the noise generated by a passenger automobile equipped with studded snow tyres is studied and compared with the noise generated when regular snow tyres are used. One-third octave band spectrum analysis reveals the existence of two distinct frequency regions, one above, and the other below, 200 Hz. In the higher frequency region, the spectral levels are dependent on the tyre type. In contrast, in the lower frequency region, the spectral levels are independent of tyre type.  相似文献

Based on laser radar equations, a Doppler shift model of a laser pulse beam scattered by a rotating arbitrary convex target is reported in this paper. The boundary relations between an incident pulse beam and the detected area elements are analyzed by geometric methods. The Doppler shift characteristics of the rotating cone and cylinder are discussed and the difference between the laser pulse beam and the plane wave scattered from the same rotating target is compared accordingly. Numerical simulations show that the Doppler shift is tightly relevant to their dimensions, speeds, and so on. In the same incidence conditions, the pulse beam and plane wave have difference peak values and the same Doppler shift bandwidth. If the waist radius of the pulse beam is larger, the peak value is higher, and the Doppler shifts are proportional to the speed of the rotating target. By virtue of our theoretical model, we probe into the scattered characteristics of the Doppler shifts of a laser pulse beam, which would benefit target identification in national defense.  相似文献

We report on measurements of the energy loss of ions in matter by “Inverted Doppler Shift Attenuation” (IDSA). This new method is an inversion of the “Doppler Shift Attenuation” (DSA) method for the determination of lifetimes of nuclear states. While in DSA the exact knowledge of the velocity dependent energy loss functiondE/ds is required, it is shown that in IDSA this function or the absolute collision cross section, respectively, can be determined from the Doppler spectrum of an excited nuclear fragment recoiling in matter, whose lifetime is known. No corrections or assumptions concerning the collision processes are necessary. 7Li* fragments (E γ=478 keV) from the10B(n, α)7Li* reaction produce an easily observable and analysable Doppler spectrum. Here boron must be a constituent or an implanted impurity of the material to be investigated. The experimental set-up is described. An exact relativistic analysis of the Doppler spectrum is given. The measured collision cross sections turn out (a) to be proportional tov within the range 1.5 · 108v≦4.8 · 108 cm/sec, (b) are thus only due to pure “electronic” collisions, and (c) sensitively dependent on the charge distributions of the target atoms.  相似文献

Accurate estimation of flow velocity requires measurement of Doppler angle, which is not available in general clinical applications. We describe a novel method of direct Doppler angle and flow velocity mapping that uses a conventional single-beam optical Doppler tomography system. The Doppler angle is estimated by combination of Doppler shift and Doppler bandwidth measurements, and flow velocity is calculated from the Doppler shift and the estimated Doppler angle. In vivo study of lip microvascularization demonstrates that this method is capable of providing both flow speed and flow direction information.  相似文献

The longitudinal optical field is a peculiar physical phenomenon that is always involved with the domain of near-field optics. Due to its extraordinary properties, it has recently attracted increasing attention in research and application. In this work, the longitudinal fields generated by the evanescent illumination of tightly focused, different polarized hollow beams are investigated. The focused light fields are numerically simulated according to vector diffraction theory, and their vector analysis is also carried out. The longitudinal fields on the focal plane are demonstrated experimentally using tip-enhanced scanning near-field microscopy. The simulation and experimental results show that the tightly focused radially polarized beam is suited to generating a stronger and purer longitudinal optical field at the focus.  相似文献

Optical holographic interference fringe patterns on rods and bars vibrating in ultrasonic resonance (standing waves) are predicted by computer simulations. The simulations are based on a combination of finite element calculations with calculations based on the theory of holographic interference fringe generation. The hypothetical fringe patterns are then compared to holographic fringe images obtained by the experiment (time average holograms). The holographic arrangement and the mechanical part of the ultrasonic system (transducer, horn and specimen) were fixed on a commercial rigid optical table supported on air bags to isolate it from ground vibrations. Thus it is shown that the scope of the study can be reached with a minimum of experimental effort, i.e., with basic laser optical equipment. It is shown that provided the system operates in the desired mode, good agreement between the theoretical and the real image is given. Finally examples of the possible influence of defects or of parasitic modes of vibration on the appearance of the fringe patterns are given.  相似文献

We investigate the spontaneously generated coherence (SGC) in a Doppler broadened four-level atomic system driven by two coherent fields. We plot the spontaneous emission spectra with different parameters and discuss how the initial atomic conditions and parameters of both fields change the number of peaks and dark lines of spontaneous emission spectra. Furthermore, we also show how the spontaneous emission spectrum is modified by Doppler effects in the viewed direction. Our results have important references to the experimental observation of SGC in hot atomic vapors.  相似文献

The strong paramagnetic susceptibility of liquid oxygen (LOX) has established it as a good candidate for a cryogenic magnetic fluid system. While its properties have been known for several decades, a fundamental understanding of the behavior of LOX in a magnetically controlled fluid system is needed for the development of a suitable space application that can operate reliably and efficiently. This study conducted quantitative experiments on the dynamics of a LOX slug in a tube when subjected to electrically-induced magnetic fields within a solenoid. The experiments used a quartz tube with an inner diameter of 1.9 mm and LOX slugs of 0.6, 1.3, 1.9, 2.5, and 3.2 mm length at various initial positions relative to the solenoid. The pressures generated by the motion of the LOX slug under the magnetic force were recorded to characterize the pressure differential generated and the breakdown of the slug. The highest attainable pressure differential was found to be 1.45 kPa, which correlated well to theoretical predictions once the analysis accounted for the resistance heating of the solenoid. The noted differences between experimental results and theory could also be attributed to impeded slug motion from shear and mass forces. Within the workable pressure range, however, an optimal slug length was found which appropriately balances the pressure, shear, and magnetic forces in the system. This paper presents the experimental data on the dynamics and the maximum pressure differential generated by a LOX slug in a magnetic field and discusses the viability of LOX in a magnetic fluid management system intended for space applications.  相似文献

针对散射体均匀分布以及三维空间域(3 dimension,3D)移动通信环境,提出了3D空间统计信道模型.对在指向性天线覆盖下的室内微小区移动通信环境,模型能够估计多径衰落信道的重要空时信道参数,如波达信号在水平面以及垂直面的信号到达角度(angle of arrival,AOA)以及多普勒效应(Doppler spectra,DS)等.移动台(mobile station,MS)的移动特性会使接收信号产生多普勒效应,根据运动的相对性理论,基站(base station,BS)也会有相对运动,因此也会有多普勒效应产生.本文引入控制变量法导出三维空间域在MS以及BS端的多普勒效应,数值仿真结果与室外3D多径衰落信道对比表明,本模型的信道参数估计结果符合理论和经验,扩展了3D空间统计信道模型的研究和应用.  相似文献

为了探究声表面波与不同深度微裂纹缺陷相互作用的关系,将脉冲激光作用于一系列不同缺陷的试件铝板上进行线光源激励,激发激光超声波。用超声传感器接收在铝板中传播的激光超声信号,通过数字荧光示波器采集激光超声在铝板中的传播数据。对采集到的反射波数据进行分离谱分离过程得到的铝板中激光超声的时域分布和透射波数据进行频域分析。实验发现:缺陷深度影响着反射回波两峰值特征点到达时间差,两者之间近似线性关系,也影响着透射波的截止频率且二者呈现递减关系。  相似文献

We report the experimental observation of a light polarization rotation in vacuum in the presence of a transverse magnetic field. Assuming that data distribution is Gaussian, the average measured rotation is (3.9 +/- 0.5) x 10(-12) rad/pass, at 5 T with 44 000 passes through a 1 m long magnet, with lambda = 1064 nm. The relevance of this result in terms of the existence of a light, neutral, spin-zero particle is discussed.  相似文献

Optical heterodyne interfering is used to measure the Doppler shift of diffraction beam of moving plane grating. By introducing Doppler shift in reference beam and contrasting the final beat frequency, the Doppler shift is measured to be normal when incident light and diffraction light are in the same side of the normal of periodic plane grating, which shows that abnormal Doppler shift can not occur on the material with “negative refraction phenomenon” caused by periodicity. Periodic two-dimensional photonic crystal with the property of abnormal Doppler shift has equivalent negative refractive index, and the abnormal properties of left-handed materials are not only caused by periodicity.  相似文献

With a pulsed Doppler system, the recorded Doppler spectrum is expected to vary depending upon the sample volume size relative to the diameter of the vessel, the position of the sample volume in the vessel and the velocity profile. In the in vitro experiments described in this paper, the velocity profile was kept constant by using steady parabolic flow in a flow model. As the Doppler sample volume size and position were changed, the maximum variations of quantitative measurements from the Doppler spectrum were determined. The maximum, mean and mode frequencies and spectral broadening index (SBI) were affected by the position of the sample volume but to a lesser degree by its length (1.5-5.0 mm) relative to the 9.5 mm beam path length across the tube. When the centre of the Doppler sample volume was moved within the central 25% of the tube, the maximum variations were as follows: maximum frequency 3-5%, mean frequency 8-9%, mode frequency 8-9% and SBI 16-18%, where the range indicates the effect of increasing the sample volume size. Based on these results obtained under steady flow conditions in vitro, it is concluded that quantification of pulsed Doppler spectra may be feasible if the sample volume is positioned within the central 25% of the vessel.  相似文献
