The paper reports a theoretical study of phase transitions in antiferromagnetic superlattices. The boundaries of stability
of the ferro-and antiferromagnetic phases have been calculated by a model taking into account the layered structure of these
materials. The expressions obtained are precise in the limit of a large number of layers. In the case of a small number of
layers, the problem reduces to a simple numerical procedure of solving a transcendental equation. The critical field is shown
to depend substantially on the biquadratic non-Heisenberg exchange constant.

The broadening of the125Te Mössbauer spectral absorption with decreasing temperature in compounds of the type Cr2?x Fe x Te x TeO6 (x=0.4, 0.8, 1.0, 1.5) is attributed to the presence of a supertransferred magnetic hyperfine field. The origin of the supertransferred magnetic hyperfine field, which is not observed in antiferromagnetically ordered Cr2TeO6 or Fe2TeO6, is associated with an imbalance in the magnetic exchange interaction at tellurium which results from the replacement of chromium by iron. 相似文献

Numerous studies have been devoted to disordered magnetic phases which show the existence of several types of disorder in non-anisotropic systems. Semi-disordered systems which retain at least partially long-range order (reentrant properties and randomly canted structures) and fully disordered systems (spin cluster and soft transition systems, true spin glass state) are shortly reviewed. Several characteristic experiments and results are presented and commented on, such as alternative, nonlinear and static susceptibilities, thermoremanence, ageing effects, neutron diffraction and Mössbauer spectroscopy. The possible types of disordered magnetic phases are discussed as a function of a sharp (or soft) transition and of a more or less fast dynamics. In true spin glasses, some problems are still open while in the other disordered phases the unresolved questions are numerous. 相似文献

The upper critical field, the lower critical field and the critical magnetic field ratio of anisotropic magnetic superconductors are calculated by Ginzburg–Landau theory analytically. The effect of the Ginzburg–Landau parameter (κ0), magnetic susceptibility (χ) and magnetic-to-anisotropic parameter ratio (θ) on the critical field ratio are considered. We find that the value of critical field ratio increases with increasing κ0 and θ, and decreases with increasing χ. The highest and the lowest value of critical field ratio is found in the diamagnetic superconductors and the ferromagnetic superconductors, respectively. 相似文献

The hyperfine interaction of140Ce in nickel has been investigated by the time-differential perturbed-angular-correlation technique (TDPAC). The probe was produced by isotope separator implantation of the fission product140Xe, the - decay chain of which finally populates excited states of140Ce.Different spin rotation spectra were observed before and after an 8 h annealing at 415°C. The analysis of the spectra led to the conclusion that the Ce ions were in the diamagnetic 4+ state. The dominant contributions to the hyperfine interaction are two different magnetic hyperfine fields: |H
hf
1|=385±7 kOe and |H
hf
2|=276±12 kOe.H
hf
1 disappears after annealing. The fraction of nuclei which observeH
hf
2 is increased by the annealing procedure from 16% to 75%. It is assumed thatH
hf
1 is the hyperfine field of CeNi in an unperturbed substitutional site andH
hf
2 is attributed to Ce ions which have trapped a single vacancy. 相似文献

A detailed theoretical study of the magnetic moments and magnetic hyperfine fields in several Fe multilayers (Fe fcc(001)/5X fcc(001), X=Cu and Ag, and Fe bcc(001)/5X fcc(001), X=Ag and Au) as well as in bulk Fe is presented. The calculations have been performed using the spin-polarized, relativistic linear muffin-tin orbital (SPR-LMTO) method of band structure calculation. Therefore, not only the contribution to the hyperfine fields due to the conventional Fermi contact interaction but also due to the spin dipolar and orbital contributions induced by the crystal field and by spin-orbit coupling are accounted for. To decompose the hyperfine field of non-s-electrons into these contributions it has been assumed that they are proportional to the corresponding so-called magnetic dipole moment and the orbital magnetic moment, respectively. In contrast to previous results for pure metals and alloys not only the orbital but also the spin dipolar hyperfine field was found to be non-negligible. The anisotropy of the hyperfine field determined by calculations for in-plane and perpendicular orientation of the magnetisation was found to be very pronounced and closely connected with the corresponding anisotropy of the magnetic dipole moment and the orbital moment. 相似文献

The upper and lower critical fields, and the critical field ratio of an anisotropic two-band magnetic superconductor in the Ginzburg–Landau (GL) scenario is derived analytically. The temperature-dependent upper critical field is investigated and applied to Fe-based superconductors. We find that a very high value of zero-temperature upper critical field in Fe-based superconductors can be found in the negative differential susceptibility region. The temperature-dependent upper critical field is presented in two formulas, in the empirical view and in the GL two-band view, which agrees with the experimental results. 相似文献

The magnetic hyperfine field at dilute Hg impurities in Gd has been investigated by the conversion electron (e

Hg and199Tl were implanted into Gd foils by means of an isotope separator. TDPAC measurements were performed with the 165 keV-L-conversion electron—134 keV--cascade of197Hg at different temperatures and with the 334 keV--158 keV-K-conversion electron cascade of199Hg at 200 K.The regular site occupation probabilities were found to be 15(3)% for an annealed197m
HgGd sample and 29(5)% in unannealed199TlGd samples. From the magnetic hyperfine interaction frequencies measured for the regular sites at 200 K the magnetic hyperfine fields |H

We report a study on the magnetic nature of the two hyperfine fields observed in α-Mn by PAC. Both of the field sites behave
completely differently under the influence of an external field ranging from zero to 4 Tesla. The so-called high field originates
from the local moment antiferromagnetism of the matrix, while the low field should be associated with an itinerant magnetism. 相似文献

The asymmetric broadening of the Mössbauer absorption lines frequently observed in goethite is shown to be due to relaxation effects in the surface layers rather than being an intrinsic property of this material. The particle size determines entirely the shape of the observed M-spectrum at room temperature which can vary from a magnetically ordered spectrum to a pure paramagnetic one. 相似文献

We investigate the ground state of a two-dimensional quantum particle in a magnetic field where the field vanishes nondegenerately along a closed curve. We show that the ground state concentrates on this curve ase/h tends to infinity, wheree is the charge, and that the ground state energy grows like (e/h)2/3. These statements are true for any energy level, the level being fixed as the charge tends to infinity. If the magnitude of the gradient of the magnetic field is a constantb

The problem of the energy levels of a three-dimensional anisotropic harmonic oscillator in a uniform magnetic field with an arbitrary strength and orientation is exactly solved. It is shown that, in the magnetic field, the levels continue to be equidistant: the energy spectrum is a superposition of three groups of levels separated by the same spacing dependent on the field strength. The results obtained can be used in modeling the magneto-optical properties of diverse quantum-mechanical systems. 相似文献

A systematic study of the transverse voltage at zero magnetic field in the superconducting state is reported. The effects of warming rate, temperature, applied magnetic field, and electrical current on the transversal resistance (RXY) of polycrystalline superconducting sample are taken into account. At zero magnetic field two peaks are observed in RXY(T) curves which are related to the double superconducting transition in the RXX(T) component. In the superconducting (RXX = zero) and normal states no transverse voltage has been detected at zero magnetic field as expected. The results are discussed within the framework of the motion of Abrikosov and Josephson vortices and anti-vortices. A new scaling relation between transverse and longitudinal components given by RXY ~ dRXX/dT has been confirmed. 相似文献

We demonstrate coherent control of two nuclear spins mediated by the magnetic resonance of a hyperfine-coupled electron spin. This control is used to create a double-nuclear coherence in one of the two electron spin manifolds, starting from an initial thermal state, in direct analogy to the creation of an entangled (Bell) state from an initially pure unentangled state. We identify challenges and potential solutions to obtaining experimental gate fidelities useful for quantum information processing in this type of system. 相似文献

Time-differential perturbed angular correlation measurements have been performed on the 91–1095 keV -ray cascade emitted by172Yb nuclei in the capture decay of172Lu, using implanted sources of172Lu in Fe and Ni. From these measurements hyperfine field valuesB(YbFe)=–1253±83 kG andB(YbNi)=–143±12 kG follow at room temperature. From the modulation amplitude of the spectra it follows that only about 20% of the ytterbium nuclei participate in the precession. 相似文献

The time-differential perturbed angular correlation (TDPAC) technique was applied to study the hyperfine magnetic field in amorphous Fe-Hf alloys with different Hf contents at low temperatures. The Hf content was changed from 20 to 40 at% andthe TDPAC measurements were carried out in the temperature range from room temperature down to 18 K. Very strong perturbations were observed for the specimen of low Hf content at low temperatures due to a strong hyperfine magnetic field. The characteristic feature observed by the present study is that the temperature dependence of the perturbation for the Fe-30 at% Hf source is quite different from that for other sources, indicating a maximum around 80 K. Discussions have been given on the explanation of the experimental results in the light of magnetic properties of these alloys. 相似文献

The temperature dependence of the magnetic and electric hyperfine interactions at the site of 181Ta impurities in polycrystalline Dy has been measured between 4.2 and 178 K using the time differential perturbed angular correlation technique. The value of the magnetic hyperfine field at 4.2 K is: |Hhf(TaDy)| = 212(9) kG The temperature dependence of the magnetic hyperfine field follows closely the prediction of the molecular field model. 相似文献

We argue that recent neutron scattering measurements by Lake et al. [Science 291, 1759 (2001)] of the spin excitation spectrum of La(2-delta)Sr(delta)CuO4 in a magnetic field can be understood in terms of proximity to a phase with co-existing superconductivity and spin density wave order. We present a general theory for such quantum transitions, and argue that their low energy spin fluctuations are controlled by a singular correction from the superflow kinetic energy, acting in the region outside the vortex cores. We propose numerous experimental tests of our theory. 相似文献
