A simplified derivation of the macroscopic electrodynamic equations of Umezawa, Hancini et al. for superconductors is given in the framework of the closed time path Green's functions (CTPGF)using generalized Ward-Takahashi identities. It is shown that the forms of the equations obtained are the same for both thermoe quilibrium and nonequilibrium stationary states provided the electromagnetic field is weak and its effect on the modulus of the order parameter can be neglected. The statistical behavior of the states is completely specified in the equations by parameters which can be calculated by the method of CTPGF. 相似文献

Some new exact solutions of an auxiliary ordinary differential
equation are obtained, which were neglected by Sirendaoreji {\it et
al in their auxiliary equation method. By using this method and
these new solutions the combined Korteweg--de Vries (KdV) and
modified KdV (mKdV) equation and (2+1)-dimensional
Broer--Kaup--Kupershmidt system are investigated and abundant exact
travelling wave solutions are obtained that include new solitary wave

This Letter emphasizes that nonlinear rotational or diamagnetic susceptibility is characteristic of Bose fluids above their superfluid T(C)'s. For sufficiently slow rotation or, for superconductors, weak B fields, this amounts to an incompressible response to vorticity. The cause is that there are terms missing in the conventionally accepted model Hamiltonian for quantized vortices in the Bose fluid. The resulting susceptibility can account for recent observations of Chan et al. [Nature (London) 427, 225 (2004); Science 305, 1941 (2004)] on solid He and Ong et al. [Europhys. Lett. 72, 451 (2005) on cuprate superconductors. 相似文献

We comment on the recent Letter by Jiao et al. [Opt. Lett. 28, 1206 (2003)] in which a polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography system was presented. Interrogating a sample with two orthogonal incident polarization states cannot always recover birefringence correctly. A previously presented fiber-based polarization-sensitive system was inaccurately characterized, and its method of eliminating the polarization distortion caused by single-mode optical fiber was presented earlier by Saxer et al. [Opt. Lett. 25, 1355 (2000)]. 相似文献

The Zwislocki et al. ["Earphones in Audiometry," J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 83, 1688-1689 (1988)] Letter to the Editor states that insert earphones have some unresolved technical problems, such as limited frequency response, limited dynamic range and power handling capability, intersubject variability, and hygiene safety. In evaluating circumaural earphones, Zwislocki et al. say that the lack of a standard coupler disqualifies them for audiometry. Since this letter carries the weight of a CHABA committee recommendation, these issues are commented on herein. Section I was written primarily by Mead Killion and Sec. II primarily by Edgar Villchur. For brevity throughout, the authors of the Zwislocki et al. letter will be referred to as "the authors." 相似文献

It is shown that energy/length scaling complicates maximizing the first hyperpolarizability of a single electron as a function of the potential. A more transparent formula for this hyperpolarizability is given. Examining this formula demonstrates that Zhou et al.(1) have not proved that modulated conjugation results in large hyperpolarizability. 相似文献

In this paper we have considered a cosmological model representing a flat viscous universe with variable G and in the context of higher dimensional spacetime. It has been observed that in this model the particle horizon exists and the cosmological term varies as inverse square of time. The deceleration parameter and temperature are well within the observational limits. The model indicates matter and entropy generation in the early stages of the universe. Further, it is shown that our model generates all models obtained by Arbab and Singh et al. in four-dimensional space-time. 相似文献

The probability of Color Rearrangement at partonic level in e+e-→W+W-→h,s process is studied using the Color Effective Hamiltonian. The comparison between our results and those of Gutafson and Sjostrand et al. is also given. It is found that this probability cannot be neglected, and it is pointed out that to investigate the Color Rearrangements, the hadronization models should be developped and improved. 相似文献

We comment on the recent Letter by Cai et al. [Opt. Lett. 28, 1808 (2003)] in which an approach to phase-shifting interferometry with arbitrary phase steps was proposed. Cai et al. based their method of phase shifting on the idea that the intensities of the reference and object beams can be measured previously, which actually makes the whole posterior phase-shifting procedure absolutely unnecessary. Their method is also based on the statement that the phase of the Fresnel diffraction pattern of a test object if generally a spatially random distribution, which in most situations is wrong. 相似文献

We comment on the recent Letter by S. P. Jamison et al. [Opt. Lett.31, 1753 (2006)] where the analysis of a chirped probe pulse that is electro-optically modulated by a terahertz pulse reportedly results in a new expression for the electric field. While in principle the derived expressions for the total field after the crystal are correct, in their treatment the authors implicitly assumed that the derived total field is identical to the measured field, without regard to the residual birefringence of a typical electro-optic crystal or a crossed analyzer. Based on this analysis neglecting birefringence, they report that earlier expressions of the temporal field are incorrect. Here we show, on the contrary, that for chirped single-shot terahertz measurement schemes that include residual birefringence, the temporally resolved electro-optic effect is described correctly by the commonly used expression in the literature. We verify this result with our experimental data. 相似文献

It was shown that N=1 super-symmetry algebra can be constructed in de Sitter space (Pahlavan et al. in Phys Lett. B 627:217–223, 2005), through calculation of charge conjugation in the ambient space notation (Moradi et al. in Phys. Lett. B 613:74, 2005; Phys. Lett. B 658:284, 2008). Calculation of N=2 super-symmetry algebra constitutes the main frame of this paper. N=2 super-symmetry algebra was presented in Pilch et al. (Commun. Math. Phys. 98:105, 1985). Recently, Mamun, Shukla, and Bingham [2] claimed that Havnes and his collaborators [1] mistakenly neglected magnetic fields in their work on Mach cones as potentially powerful diagnostics of properties in Saturn’s rings. We show that the magnetic force on a charged particle is entirely negligible in comparison with the electric force on the particle in a wave with a wavenumber relevant to the Saturnian Mach cone problem. We comment on the recent Letter by Argyros et al. [Opt. Lett. 29, 1882 (2004)] in which a microstructured polymer fiber doped with the dye Rhodamine 6G was discussed as a possible fiber laser source.
