In this paper, we prove the existence of Hermitian-Einstein metrics for holomorphic vector bundles on a class of complete Kähler manifolds which include Hermitian symmetric spaces of noncompact type without Euclidean factor, strictly pseudoconvex domains with Bergman metrics and the universal cover of Gromov hyperbolic manifolds etc. We also solve the Dirichlet problem at infinity for the Hermitian-Einstein equations on holomorphic vector bundles over strictly pseudoconvex domains.

We avoid the assumption given in the work of C. Pérez and R. Wheeden (2001) to prove boundedness properties of certain maximal functions in a general setting of the spaces of homogeneous type with infinite measure. In addition, an example shows that the result can be false if the space has finite measure.

The Lichnerowicz conjecture asserted that every harmonic Riemannian manifold is locally isometric to a two-point homogeneous space. In 1992, E. Damek and F. Ricci produced a family of counter-examples to this conjecture, which arise as abelian extensions of two-step nilpotent groups of type-H. In this paper we consider a broader class of Riemannian manifolds: solvmanifolds of Iwasawa type with algebraic rank one and two-step nilradical. Our main result shows that the Damek–Ricci spaces are the only harmonic manifolds of this type.  相似文献

We consider weighted function spaces of Sobolev-Besov type and Schrödinger type operators on noncompact Riemannian manifolds with bounded geometry. First we give characterization of the spaces in terms of wavelet frames. Then we describe the necessary and sufficient conditions for the compactness of Sobolev embeddings between the spaces. An asymptotic behavior of the corresponding entropy numbers is calculated. At the end we use the asymptotic behavior to estimate the number of negative eigenvalues of the Schrödinger type operators.  相似文献

We compute the Szegö kernel of the unit circle bundle of a negative line bundle dual to a regular quantum line bundle over a compact Kähler manifold. As a corollary we provide an infinite family of smoothly bounded strictly pseudoconvex domains on complex manifolds (disk bundles over homogeneous Hodge manifolds) for which the log-terms in the Fefferman expansion of the Szegö kernel vanish and which are not locally CR-equivalent to the sphere. We also give a proof of the fact that, for homogeneous Hodge manifolds, the existence of a locally spherical CR-structure on the unit circle bundle alone implies that the manifold is biholomorphic to a projective space. Our results generalize those obtained by Engli? (Math Z 264(4):901–912, 2010) for Hermitian symmetric spaces of compact type.  相似文献

Vector cross product structures on manifolds include symplectic, volume, G2- and Spin(7)-structures. We show that the knot spaces of such manifolds have natural symplectic structures, and relate instantons and branes in these manifolds to holomorphic disks and Lagrangian submanifolds in their knot spaces.For the complex case, the holomorphic volume form on a Calabi-Yau manifold defines a complex vector cross product structure. We show that its isotropic knot space admits a natural holomorphic symplectic structure. We also relate the Calabi-Yau geometry of the manifold to the holomorphic symplectic geometry of its isotropic knot space.  相似文献

In this paper, using the discrete Calderon reproducing formula on spaces of homogeneous type obtained by the author, we obtain the Plancherel-Pôlya type inequalities on spaces of homogeneous type. These inequalities give new characterizations of the Besov spaces and the Triebel-Lizorkin spaces on spaces of homogeneous type introduced earlier by the author and E. T. Sawyer and also allow us to generalize these spaces to the case where . Moreover, using these inequalities, we can easily show that the Littlewood-Paley -function and -function are equivalent on spaces of homogeneous type, which gives a new characterization of the Hardy spaces on spaces of homogeneous type introduced by Macias and Segovia.

This paper is devoted to the analysis of function spaces modeled on Besov spaces and their applications to non-linear partial differential equations, with emphasis on the incompressible, isotropic Navier-Stokes system and semi-linear heat equations. Specifically, we consider the class, introduced by Hideo Kozono and Masao Yamazaki, of Besov spaces based on Morrey spaces, which we call Besov-Morrey or BM spaces. We obtain equivalent representations in terms of the Weierstrass semigroup and wavelets, and various embeddings in classical spaces. We then establish pseudo-differential and para-differential estimates. Our results cover non-regular and exotic symbols. Although the heat semigroup is not strongly continuous on Morrey spaces, we show that its action defines an equivalent norm. In particular, homogeneous BM spaces belong to a larger class constructed by Grzegorz Karch to analyze scaling in parabolic equations. We compare Karch's results with those of Kozono and Yamazaki and generalize them by obtaining short-time existence and uniqueness of solutions for arbitrary data with subcritical regularity. We exploit pseudo-differential calculus to extend the analysis to compact, smooth, boundaryless, Riemannian manifolds. BM spaces are defined by means of partitions of unity and coordinate patches, and intrinsically in terms of functions of the Laplace operator.

A rigidity theorem is proved for principal Eschenburg spaces of positive sectional curvature. It is shown that for a very large class of such spaces the homotopy type determines the diffeomorphism type.

In this article we study variable exponent Sobolev spaces on Riemannian manifolds. The spaces are examined in the case of compact manifolds. Continuous and compact embeddings are discussed. In this paper we show that for Riemannian manifolds with boundary the natural restriction map is a quasifibration between spaces of metrics of positive scalar curvature. We apply this result to study homotopy properties of spaces of such metrics on manifolds with boundary.

We consider a generalization of entire functions of spherical exponential type and Lagrangian splines on manifolds. An analog of the Paley-Wiener theorem is given. We also show that every spectral entire function on a manifold is uniquely determined by its values on some discrete sets of points.

The main result of the paper is a formula for reconstruction of spectral entire functions from their values on discrete sets using Lagrangian splines.

We study asymptotically harmonic manifolds of negative curvature, without any cocompactness or homogeneity assumption. We show that asymptotic harmonicity provides a lot of information on the asymptotic geometry of these spaces: in particular, we determine the volume entropy, the spectrum and the relative densities of visual and harmonic measures on the ideal boundary. Then, we prove an asymptotic analogue of the classical mean value property of harmonic manifolds, and we characterize asymptotically harmonic manifolds, among Cartan–Hadamard spaces of strictly negative curvature, by the existence of an asymptotic equivalent \(\tau (u)\mathrm {e}^{Er}\) for the volume-density of geodesic spheres (with \(\tau \) constant in case \(DR_M\) is bounded). Finally, we show the existence of a Margulis function, and explicitly compute it, for all asymptotically harmonic manifolds.  相似文献

Riemannian manifolds for which a natural curvature operator has constant eigenvalues on circles are studied. A local classification in dimensions two and three is given. In the 3-dimensional case one gets all locally symmetric spaces and all Riemannian manifolds with the constant principal Ricci curvatures r 1 = r 2 = 0, r 3= 0 , which are not locally homogeneous, in general.  相似文献
