A transferable utility (TU) game with n players specifies a vector of \(2^n-1\) real numbers, i.e. a number for each non-empty coalition, and this can be difficult to handle for large n. Therefore, several models from the literature focus on interaction situations which are characterized by a compact representation of a TU-game, and such that the worth of each coalition can be easily computed. Sometimes, the worth of each coalition is computed from the values of single players by means of a mechanism describing how the individual abilities interact within groups of players. In this paper we introduce the class of Generalized additive games (GAGs), where the worth of a coalition \(S { \subseteq } N\) is evaluated by means of an interaction filter, that is a map \(\mathcal {M}\) which returns the valuable players involved in the cooperation among players in S. Moreover, we investigate the subclass of basic GAGs, where the filter \(\mathcal {M}\) selects, for each coalition S, those players that have friends but not enemies in S. We show that well-known classes of TU-games can be represented in terms of such basic GAGs, and we investigate the problem of computing the core and the semivalues for specific families of GAGs.  相似文献

We study a q-player variation of the impartial avoidance game introduced by Anderson and Harary, where q is a prime. The game is played by the q players taking turns selecting previously-unselected elements of a finite group. The losing player is the one who selects an element that causes the set of jointly-selected elements to be a generating set for the group, with the previous player winning. We introduce a ranking system for the other players to prevent coalitions. We describe the winning strategy for these games on cyclic, nilpotent, dihedral, and dicyclic groups.  相似文献

In Sigman (J. Appl. Probab. 48A:209–216, 2011b), a first exact simulation algorithm was presented for the stationary distribution of customer delay for FIFO M/G/c queues in which ρ=λ/μ<1 (super stable case). The key idea involves dominated coupling from the past while using the M/G/1 queue under the processor sharing (PS) discipline as a sample-path upper bound, taking advantage of its time-reversibility properties so as to be able to simulate it backwards in time. Here, we expand upon this method and give several examples of other queueing models for which this method can be used to exactly simulate from their stationary distributions. Examples include sojourn times for single-server queues under various service disciplines, tandem queues, and multi-class networks with general routing.  相似文献

This paper establishes consistency and asymptotic normality of the generalized quasi-maximum likelihood estimate (GQMLE) for a general class of periodic conditionally heteroskedastic time series models (PCH). In this class of models, the volatility is expressed as a measurable function of the infinite past of the observed process with periodically time-varying parameters, while the innovation is an independent and periodically distributed sequence. In contrast with the aperiodic case, the proposed GQMLE is rather based on S instrumental density functions where S is the period of the model while the corresponding asymptotic variance is in a “sandwich” form. Application to the periodic asymmetric power GARCH model is given. Moreover, we also discuss how to apply the GQMLE to the prediction of power problem in a one-step framework and to PCH models with complex periodic patterns such as high frequency seasonality and non-integer seasonality.  相似文献

Using a black hole with scalar hair, we construct a scalar thin-shell wormhole (TSW) in 2+1 dimensions by applying the Visser cut and paste technique. The surface stress, which is concentrated at the wormhole throat, is determined using the Darmois–Israel formalism. Using various gas models, we analyze the stability of the TSW. The stability region is changed by tuning the parameters l and u. We note that the obtained TSW originating from a black hole with scalar hair could be more stable with a particular value of the parameter l, but it still requires exotic matter.  相似文献

A digraph is associated with a finite group by utilizing the power map f: GG defined by f(x) = xkfor all xG, where k is a fixed natural number. It is denoted by γG(n, k). In this paper, the generalized quaternion and 2-groups are stud- ied. The height structure is discussed for the generalized quaternion. The necessary and sufficient conditions on a power digraph of a 2-group are determined for a 2-group to be a generalized quaternion group. Further, the classification of two generated 2-groups as abelian or non-abelian in terms of semi-regularity of the power digraphs is completed.  相似文献

Let a be a regular element of a ring R. If either K:=r R (a) has the exchange property or every power of a is regular, then we prove that for every positive integer n there exist decompositions
$$R_{R} = K \oplus X_{n} \oplus Y_{n} = E_{n} \oplus X_{n} \oplus aY_{n}, $$
where \(Y_{n} \subseteq a^{n}R\) and E n ?R/a R. As applications we get easier proofs of the results that a strongly π-regular ring has stable range one and also that a strongly π-regular element whose every power is regular is unit-regular.

Let IK be an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0 complete for an ultrametric absolute value. Following results obtained in complex analysis, here we examine problems of uniqueness for meromorphic functions having finitely many poles, sharing points or a pair of sets (C.M. or I.M.) defined either in the whole field IK or in an open disk, or in the complement of an open disk. Following previous works in C, we consider functions fn(x)fm(ax + b), gn(x)gm(ax + b) with |a| = 1 and nm, sharing a rational function and we show that f/g is a n + m-th root of 1 whenever n + m ≥ 5. Next, given a small function w, if n, m ∈ IN are such that |n ? m| ≥ 5, then fn(x)fm(ax + b) ? w has infinitely many zeros. Finally, we examine branched values for meromorphic functions fn(x)fm(ax + b).  相似文献

A formation F is superradical provided that: (1) F is a normally hereditary formation; (2) each group G = AB, where A and B are F-subnormal F-subgroups in G, belongs to F. We give an example of a hereditary superradical formation that is not soluble saturated. This gives a negative answer to Problem 14.99(b) in The Kourovka Notebook.  相似文献

Given a rank r stable bundle over a smooth irreducible projective curve C,  there is an associated rank 2r bundle over \(S^2(C),\) the second symmetric power of C. In this article we study the slope (semi-)stability of this bundle.  相似文献

Let G be a nonabelian group, and associate the noncommuting graph ?(G) with G as follows: the vertex set of ?(G) is G\Z(G) with two vertices x and y joined by an edge whenever the commutator of x and y is not the identity. Let S 4(q) be the projective symplectic simple group, where q is a prime power. We prove that if G is a group with ?(G) ? ?(S 4(q)) then G ? S 4(q).  相似文献

In the field of cooperative games with restricted cooperation, various restrictions on coalition formation are studied. The most studied restrictions are those that arise from restricted communication and hierarchies. This survey discusses several models of hierarchy restrictions and their relation with communication restrictions. In the literature, there are results on game properties, Harsanyi dividends, core stability, and various solutions that generalize existing solutions for TU-games. In this survey, we mainly focus on axiomatizations of the Shapley value in different models of games with a hierarchically structured player set, and their applications. Not only do these axiomatizations provide insight in the Shapley value for these models, but also by considering the types of axioms that characterize the Shapley value, we learn more about different network structures. A central model of games with hierarchies is that of games with a permission structure where players in a cooperative transferable utility game are part of a permission structure in the sense that there are players that need permission from other players before they are allowed to cooperate. This permission structure is represented by a directed graph. Generalizations of this model are, for example, games on antimatroids, and games with a local permission structure. Besides discussing these generalizations, we briefly discuss some applications, in particular auction games and hierarchically structured firms.  相似文献

For a countable, weakly minimal theory T, we show that the Schröder-Bernstein property (any two elementarily bi-embeddable models are isomorphic) is equivalent to each of the following:
  1. 1.
    For any U-rank-1 type qS(acl eq (?)) and any automorphism f of the monster model C, there is some n < ω such that f n (q) is not almost orthogonal to q ? f(q) ? … ? f n?1(q)

  2. 2.
T has no infinite collection of models which are pairwise elementarily bi-embeddable but pairwise nonisomorphic.

We conclude that for countable, weakly minimal theories, the Schröder-Bernstein property is absolute between transitve models of ZFC.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of a (stable) dimension scale d-sc(X) of a space X, where d is a dimension invariant. A bicompactum X is called dimensionally unified if dim F = dimG F for every closed F ? X and for an arbitrary abelian group G. We prove that there exist dimensionally unified bicompacta with every given stable scale dim-sc.  相似文献

Orthogonal or symplectic Yangians are defined by the Yang–Baxter RLL relation involving the fundamental R-matrix with the corresponding so(n) or sp(2m) symmetry. We investigate the second-order solution conditions, where the expansion of L(u) in u ?1 is truncated at the second power, and we derive the relations for the two nontrivial terms in L(u).  相似文献

A class of groups F is called MP-closed, if it contains every group G = AB such that the F-subgroup A permutes with every subgroup of B and the F-subgroup B permutes with every subgroup of A. We prove that the formation F that contains the class of all supersoluble groups is MP-closed if and only if the formation F(p) is MP-closed for any prime number p, where F is a maximal inner local screen of F. In particular, we prove that the formation of all groups with supersoluble Schmidt subgroups is MP-closed.  相似文献

Consider the resource allocation problem:minimize ∑ni=1 fi(xi) subject to ∑ni=1 xi = N and xi's being nonnegative integers, where each fi is a convex function. The well-known algorithm based on the incremental method requires O(N log n + n) time to solve this problem. We propose here a new algorithm based on the Lagrange multiplier method, requiring O[n2(log N)2] time. The latter is faster if N is much larger than n. Such a situation occurs, for example, when the optimal sample size problem related to monitoring the urban air pollution is treated.  相似文献

We start with a Riemann–Hilbert problem (RHP) related to BD.I-type symmetric spaces SO(2r + 1)/S(O(2r ? 2s+1) ? O(2s)), s ≥ 1. We consider two RHPs: the first is formulated on the real axis R in the complexplane; the second, on R ? iR. The first RHP for s = 1 allows solving the Kulish–Sklyanin (KS) model; the second RHP is related to a new type of KS model. We consider an important example of nontrivial deep reductions of the KS model and show its effect on the scattering matrix. In particular, we obtain new two-component nonlinear Schrödinger equations. Finally, using the Wronski relations, we show that the inverse scattering method for KS models can be understood as generalized Fourier transforms. We thus find a way to characterize all the fundamental properties of KS models including the hierarchy of equations and the hierarchy of their Hamiltonian structures.  相似文献

Let M be a compact connected Kähler manifold and G a connected linear algebraic group defined over \({\mathbb{C}}\) . A Higgs field on a holomorphic principal G-bundle ε G over M is a holomorphic section θ of \(\text{ad}(\epsilon_{G})\otimes {\Omega}^{1}_{M}\) such that θθ = 0. Let L(G) be the Levi quotient of G and (ε G (L(G)), θ l ) the Higgs L(G)-bundle associated with (ε G , θ). The Higgs bundle (ε G , θ) will be called semistable (respectively, stable) if (ε G (L(G)), θ l ) is semistable (respectively, stable). A semistable Higgs G-bundle (ε G , θ) will be called pseudostable if the adjoint vector bundle ad(ε G (L(G))) admits a filtration by subbundles, compatible with θ, such that the associated graded object is a polystable Higgs vector bundle. We construct an equivalence of categories between the category of flat G-bundles over M and the category of pseudostable Higgs G-bundles over M with vanishing characteristic classes of degree one and degree two. This equivalence is actually constructed in the more general equivariant set-up where a finite group acts on the Kähler manifold. As an application, we give various equivalent conditions for a holomorphic G-bundle over a complex torus to admit a flat holomorphic connection.  相似文献

A ring R is called a right PS-ring if its socle, Soc(R R ), is projective. Nicholson and Watters have shown that if R is a right PS-ring, then so are the polynomial ring R[x] and power series ring R[[x]]. In this paper, it is proved that, under suitable conditions, if R has a (flat) projective socle, then so does the skew inverse power series ring R[[x ?1; α, δ]] and the skew polynomial ring R[x; α, δ], where R is an associative ring equipped with an automorphism α and an α-derivation δ. Our results extend and unify many existing results. Examples to illustrate and delimit the theory are provided.  相似文献
