We define Schrödinger cat states as superpositions of q-deformed Barut–Girardello su(1, 1) coherent states with an adjustable angle φ in a q-deformed Fock space. We study the statistical properties of the q-deformed Barut–Girardello su(1, 1) coherent states and Schrödinger cat states. The statistical properties of photons are always sub-Poissonian for q-deformed Barut–Girardello su(1, 1) coherent states. For Schrödinger cat states in the cases φ = 0, π/2, π, the statistical properties of photons are always sub-Poissonian if φ = π/2, and the other cases are hard to determine because they depend on the parameters q and k. Moreover, we find some interesting properties of Schrödinger cat states in the limit |z| → 0, where z is the parameter of those states. We also derive that the statistical properties of photons are sub-Poissonian in the undeformed case where π/2 ≤ φ ≤ 3π/2.  相似文献

A remarkable result by Shelah states that if κ is a singular strong limit cardinal of uncountable cofinality, then there is a subset x of κ such that HODx contains the power set of κ. We develop a version of diagonal extender-based supercompact Prikry forcing, and use it to show that singular cardinals of countable cofinality do not in general have this property, and in fact it is consistent that for some singular strong limit cardinal κ of countable cofinality κ+ is supercompact in HODx for all x ? κ.  相似文献

We give the new inequality related to the J. C. C. Nitsche conjecture (see [6]). Moreover, we consider the two- and three-dimensional case. LetA(r, 1)={z:r<|z|<1}. Nitsche's conjecture states that if there exists a univalent harmonic mapping from an annulusA(r, 1), to an annulusA(s, 1), thens is at most 2r/(r 2+1).Lyzzaik's result states thats<t wheret is the length of the Grötzsch's ring domain associated withA(r, 1) (see [5]). Weitsman's result states thats≤1/(1+1/2(r logr)2) (see [8]).Our result for two-dimensional space states thats≤1/(1+1/2 log2 r) which improves Weitsman's bound for allr, and Lyzzaik's bound forr close to 1. For three-dimensional space the result states thats≤1/(r?logr).  相似文献

The reduced C*-algebra of the interior of the isotropy in any Hausdorff étale groupoid G embeds as a C*-subalgebra M of the reduced C*-algebra of G. We prove that the set of pure states of M with unique extension is dense, and deduce that any representation of the reduced C*-algebra of G that is injective on M is faithful. We prove that there is a conditional expectation from the reduced C*-algebra of G onto M if and only if the interior of the isotropy in G is closed. Using this, we prove that when the interior of the isotropy is abelian and closed, M is a Cartan subalgebra. We prove that for a large class of groupoids G with abelian isotropy—including all Deaconu–Renault groupoids associated to discrete abelian groups—M is a maximal abelian subalgebra. In the specific case of k-graph groupoids, we deduce that M is always maximal abelian, but show by example that it is not always Cartan.  相似文献

We examine the p-adic hard-core model with three states on a Cayley tree. Translationinvariant and periodic p-adic Gibbs measures are studied for the hard-core model for k = 2. We prove that every p-adic Gibbs measure is bounded for p ≠ 2. We show in particular that there is no strong phased transition for a hard-core model on a Cayley tree of order k.  相似文献

The fundamental theorem on functional identities states that a prime ring R with \(\deg (R)\ge d\) is a d-free subset of its maximal left ring of quotients Q m l (R). We consider the question whether the same conclusion holds for symmetric rings of quotients. This indeed turns out to be the case for the maximal symmetric ring of quotients Q m s (R), but not for the symmetric Martindale ring of quotients Q s (R). We show, however, that if the maps from the basic functional identities have their ranges in R, then the maps from their standard solutions have their ranges in Q s (R). We actually prove a more general theorem which implies both aforementioned results. Its proof is somewhat shorter and more compact than the standard proof used for establishing d-freeness in various situations.  相似文献

We give all solutions of the equation f(n) = g(n) + h(n) for every n ∈ ?, where f is a completely multiplicative, g is a 2-additive, and h is a 3-additive function. We also determine all completely multiplicative functions f and all q-additive functions g for which f(n) = g 2(n) for every n ∈ ?.  相似文献

We consider a boundary value problem for the wave equation with given initial conditions and with boundary conditions of the second kind at one end of the string and boundary conditions of the first kind at the other end of the string. We assume the boundary conditions to ensure that the solution of the problem (in the class of generalized functions) satisfying the initial conditions at the initial time t = 0 satisfies given terminal conditions at the terminal time t = T. We clarify the relationship between the functions µ(t) and ν(t) in the boundary conditions and the given functions specifying the initial and terminal states. We obtain closed-form analytic expressions for the functions µ(t) and ν(t) minimizing the boundary energy functional.  相似文献

A theorem due to Nakayama and Skornyakov states that “a ring R is an Artinian serial ring if and only if all left R-modules are serial” and a theorem due to Warfield state that “a Noetherian ring R is serial if and only if every finitely generated left R-module is serial”. We say that an R-module M is prime uniserial (?-uniserial, for short) if for every pair P, Q of prime submodules of M either \(P\subseteq Q\) or \(Q\subseteq P\), and we say that M is prime serial (?-serial, for short) if it is a direct sum of ?-uniserial modules. Therefore, two interesting natural questions of this sort are: “Which rings have the property that every module is ?-serial?” and “Which rings have the property that every finitely generated module is ?-serial?” Most recently, in our paper, Prime uniserial modules and rings (submitted), we considered these questions in the context of commutative rings. The goal of this paper is to answer these questions in the case R is a Noetherian ring in which all idempotents are central or R is a left Artinian ring.  相似文献

The problem of realization of Boolean functions by initial Boolean automata with two constant states and n inputs is considered. An initial Boolean automaton with two constant states and n inputs is an initial automaton with output such that in all states the output functions are n-ary constant Boolean functions 0 or 1. The maximum cardinality of set of n-ary Boolean functions, where n > 1, realized by an initial Boolean automaton with two constant states and n inputs is obtained.  相似文献

A Hölder regularity index at given points for density states of (α,1,β)-superprocesses with α>1+β is determined. It is shown that this index is strictly greater than the optimal index of local Hölder continuity for those density states.  相似文献

Central subsets of a discrete semigroup S have very strong combinatorial properties which are a consequence of the Central Sets Theorem . We investigate here the class of semigroups that have a subset with zero Følner density which satisfies the conclusion of the Central Sets Theorem. We show that this class includes any direct sum of countably many finite abelian groups as well as any subsemigroup of (?,+) which contains ?. We also show that if S and T are in this class and either both are left cancellative or T has a left identity, then S×T is in this class. We also extend a theorem proved in (Beiglböck et al. in Topology Appl., to appear), which states that, if p is an idempotent in β? whose members have positive density, then every member of p satisfies the Central Sets Theorem. We show that this holds for all commutative semigroups. Finally, we provide a simple elementary proof of the fact that any commutative semigroup satisfies the Strong Følner Condition.  相似文献

The initial algebra for a set functor can be constructed iteratively via a well-known transfinite chain, which converges after a regular infinite cardinal number of steps or at most three steps. We extend this result to the analogous construction of relatively initial algebras. For the dual construction of the terminal coalgebra Worrell proved that if a set functor is α-accessible, then convergence takes at most α + α steps. But until now an example demonstrating that fewer steps may be insufficient was missing. We prove that the functor of all α-small filters is such an example. We further prove that for βα the functor of all α-small β-generated filters requires precisely α + β steps and that a certain modified power-set functor requires precisely α steps. We also present an example showing that whether a terminal coalgebra exists at all does not depend solely on the object mapping of the given set functor. (This contrasts with the fact that existence of an initial algebra is equivalent to existence of a mere fixed point.)  相似文献

We study the spectrum of a model three-particle Schrödinger operator H(ε), ε > 0. We prove that for a sufficiently small ε > 0, this operator has no bound states and no two-particle branches of the spectrum. We also obtain an estimate for the small parameter ε.  相似文献

Edge-colourings of graphs have been studied for decades. We study edge-colourings with respect to hereditary graph properties. For a graph G, a hereditary graph property P and l ? 1 we define \(X{'_{P,l}}\)(G) to be the minimum number of colours needed to properly colour the edges of G, such that any subgraph of G induced by edges coloured by (at most) l colours is in P. We present a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of \(X{'_{P,l}}\)(G). We focus on edge-colourings of graphs with respect to the hereditary properties Ok and Sk, where Ok contains all graphs whose components have order at most k+1, and Sk contains all graphs of maximum degree at most k. We determine the value of \(X{'_{{S_k},l}}(G)\) for any graph G, k ? 1, l ? 1, and we present a number of results on \(X{'_{{O_k},l}}(G)\).  相似文献

A group G has all of its subgroups normal-by-finite if H/H G is finite for all subgroups H of G. The Tarski-groups provide examples of p-groups (p a “large” prime) of nonlocally finite groups in which every subgroup is normal-by-finite. The aim of this paper is to prove that a 2-group with every subgroup normal-by-finite is locally finite. We also prove that if |H/H G | 6 2 for every subgroup H of G, then G contains an Abelian subgroup of index at most 8.  相似文献

Let R be a ring with identity. We use J(R); G(R); and X(R) to denote the Jacobson radical, the group of all units, and the set of all nonzero nonunits in R; respectively. A ring is said to be Abelian if every idempotent is central. It is shown, for an Abelian ring R and an idempotent-lifting ideal N ? J(R) of R; that R has a complete set of primitive idempotents if and only if R/N has a complete set of primitive idempotents. The structure of an Abelian ring R is completely determined in relation with the local property when X(R) is a union of 2; 3; 4; and 5 orbits under the left regular action on X(R) by G(R): For a semiperfect ring R which is not local, it is shown that if G(R) is a cyclic group with 2 ∈ G(R); then R is finite. We lastly consider two sorts of conditions for G(R) to be an Abelian group.  相似文献

By classical results of Hurewicz, Kechris and Saint-Raymond, an analytic subset of a Polish space X is covered by a Kσ subset of X if and only if it does not contain a closed-in-X subset homeomorphic to the Baire space ww. We consider the analogous statement (which we call the Hurewicz dichotomy) for ∑11j subsets of the generalized Baire space κκ for a given uncountable cardinal κ with κ = κ<κ. We show that the statement that this dichotomy holds at all uncountable regular cardinals is consistent with the axioms of ZFC together with GCH and large cardinal axioms. In contrast, we show that the dichotomy fails at all uncountable regular cardinals after we add a Cohen real to a model of GCH. We also discuss connections with some regularity properties, like the κ-perfect set property, the κ-Miller measurability, and the κ-Sacks measurability.  相似文献

The dominion of a subgroup H of a group G in a class M is the set of all aG that have the same images under every pair of homomorphisms, coinciding on H from G to a group in M. A group H is n-closed in M if for every group G = gr(H, a1,..., an) in M that includes H and is generated modulo H by some n elements, the dominion of H in G (in M) is equal to H. We prove that the additive group of the rationals is 2-closed in every quasivariety of torsion-free nilpotent groups of class at most 3.  相似文献

Let x 0 be a nonzero vector in \({\mathbb{C}^{n}}\) , and let \({U\subseteq \mathcal{M}_{n}}\) be a domain containing the zero matrix. We prove that if φ is a holomorphic map from U into \({\mathcal{M}_{n}}\) such that the local spectrum of TU at x 0 and the local spectrum of φ(T) at x 0 have always a common value, then T and φ(T) have always the same spectrum, and they have the same local spectrum at x 0 a.e. with respect to the Lebesgue measure on U. If \({\varphi \colon U\rightarrow \mathcal{M}_{n}}\) is holomorphic with φ(0) = 0 such that the local spectral radius of T at x 0 equals the local spectral radius of φ(T) at x 0 for all TU, there exists \({\xi \in \mathbb{C}}\) of modulus one such that ξT and φ(T) have the same spectrum for all T in U. We also prove that if for all TU the local spectral radius of φ(T) coincides with the local spectral radius of T at each vector x, there exists \({\xi \in \mathbb{C}}\) of modulus one such that φ(T) = ξT on U.  相似文献
