Oscillatory motions can cause injury in transport when standing passengers or crew lose balance and fall. To predict the loss of balance of standing people, a model is required of the relationship between the input motion and the stability of the human body. This experimental study investigated the effect of frequency, magnitude and direction of oscillation on the postural stability of standing subjects and whether response to rotational oscillation can be predicted from knowledge of response to translational oscillation.Twelve male subjects stood on a floor that oscillated in either horizontal (fore-and-aft or lateral) or rotational (pitch or roll) directions. The oscillations were one-third octave bands of random motion centred on five preferred octave centre frequencies (0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 Hz). The horizontal motions were presented at each of four velocities (0.04, 0.062, 0.099, and 0.16 ms−1 rms) and the rotational motions were presented at each of four rotational angles (0.73, 1.46, 2.92, and 5.85° rms) corresponding to four accelerations (0.125, 0.25, 0.5, and 1.0 ms−2 rms), where the acceleration is that caused by rotation through the gravitational vector. Postural stability was determined by subjective methods and by measuring the displacement of the centre of pressure at the feet during horizontal oscillation.During horizontal oscillation, increases in motion magnitude increased instability and, with the same velocity at all frequencies from 0.125 to 2.0 Hz, most instability occurred in the region of 0.5 Hz. Fore-and-aft oscillation produced more instability than lateral oscillation, although displacements of the centre of pressure were similar in both directions. With the same angular displacement at all frequencies from 0.125 to 2.0 Hz, pitch oscillation caused more instability than roll oscillation, but in both directions instability increased with increased frequency of oscillation. Frequency weightings for acceleration in the plane of the floor during translational and rotational excitation show the significance of low-frequency translational oscillation and high-frequency rotational motion, and show that it is necessary to know whether the measured acceleration is caused by translation or rotation through gravity.  相似文献

Most human response to vibration standards imply that low vibration levels are acceptable for longer periods than higher levels. In such standards it is usually assumed that the relationship between exposure duration and vibration level is of a similar form for a wide range of different types of motion. The experiment described in this paper was conducted to determine whether the relative discomfort produced by 4 Hz and 16 Hz sinusoidal whole-body vertical (az) vibration was dependent on the duration of the vibration exposure.Each of eight seated subjects was exposed to two 36-minute vibration sessions. Both sessions consisted of ten-second periods of 4 Hz and 16 Hz vibration alternating continuously. In one session the 4 Hz motion was set at the “standard” level of 0·75 m/s2 r.m.s. while the level of the 46 Hz “test” motion could be adjusted by the subjects. In the other session the 16 Hz motion was the standard at 0·75 m/sl r.m.s. and the level of the 4 Hz motion could be adjusted. The subjects were required to control the intensity of the test motion to compensate for periodic changes in its intensity made by the experimenter and so to maintain it at a level which produced similar discomfort to that caused by the standard motion.It was found that the relationship between the average levels of the two motions when adjusted to produce similar discomfort was independent of the vibration duration. The findings are discussed in relation to other laboratory research and the need for a better understanding of the effects of the duration of a vibration on its acceptability.  相似文献

太赫兹时域光谱技术是基于飞秒超快激光技术的有效的光谱检测技术,太赫兹波独特的优势使其成为一种有效的无损检测手段,并被广泛地应用到各个领域。然而在样品检测尤其是液体样品检测过程中,由于Fabry-Perot效应的存在,太赫兹波在样品、样品容器、以及光学元件之间的多次反射,使时域信号产生回波,样品的吸收光谱在频域内产生振荡,有可能会隐藏一些重要的吸收特征。为了解决这一问题,对解卷积算法进行改进,在传统计算模型的基础上,考虑系统中液体池窗片和光学元件对太赫兹波的非线性吸收,将包含回波的太赫兹时域信号描述为太赫兹主脉冲与一系列冲击信号和非线性传递函数的卷积。通过分析,有效去除回波引起的频谱振荡,进一步提高太赫兹波段豆油光学参数的测定精度。实验对比了改进前后0.2~2 THz波段豆油的频谱及吸收谱,实验结果证明,与传统的主脉冲截取法相比,本算法不仅能有效去除回波引起的频谱振荡,且在相同检测条件下,可将太赫兹波段豆油样品的频率分辨率由50 GHz有效提高至10 GHz。该算法不受被测对象参数的影响,同样适用于其他液体的太赫兹时域光谱测量。最后对吸收谱中残余的频谱振荡进行了深入分析。  相似文献

For practical-purpose studies in underwater acoustics, a new method is proposed to determine the bottom reflection coefficient on the basis of multiple bottom-surface reflections. The method allows one to obtain the angular dependence of the bottom reflection coefficient at grazing angles from several degrees to several tens of degrees in the audio and infrasonic frequency bands. The sound field structure is studied in deep-water regions of the Black (2000 m) and Arabian (4000 m) seas at frequencies within 10–400 Hz. For the regions under investigation, the frequency-angular dependence of the reflection coefficient is obtained with the use of the proposed method. The data for the Black Sea are compared with those provided by the conventional method based on the use of single and double bottom and bottom-surface reflections. Experimental data on the values and variations of the bottom reflection coefficient are presented for different deepwater and shallow-water regions of the World Ocean. The presence of shear waves in the bottom sediments is revealed, and the effect of these waves on the frequency-angular dependence of the reflection coefficient is demonstrated.  相似文献

We introduce a dynamic light scattering technique capable of resolving motion that changes systematically, and rapidly, with time. It is based on the visibility of a speckle pattern for a given exposure duration. Applying this to a vibrated layer of glass beads, we measure the granular temperature and its variation with phase in the oscillation cycle. We observe several transitions involving jammed states, where the grains are at rest during some portion of the cycle. We also observe a two-step decay of the temperature on approach to jamming.  相似文献

We present results of a study of neutrino oscillation based on a 766 ton/year exposure of KamLAND to reactor antineutrinos. We observe 258 nu (e) candidate events with energies above 3.4 MeV compared to 365.2+/-23.7 events expected in the absence of neutrino oscillation. Accounting for 17.8+/-7.3 expected background events, the statistical significance for reactor nu (e) disappearance is 99.998%. The observed energy spectrum disagrees with the expected spectral shape in the absence of neutrino oscillation at 99.6% significance and prefers the distortion expected from nu (e) oscillation effects. A two-neutrino oscillation analysis of the KamLAND data gives Deltam(2)=7.9(+0.6)(-0.5)x10(-5) eV(2). A global analysis of data from KamLAND and solar-neutrino experiments yields Deltam(2)=7.9(+0.6)(-0.5)x10(-5) eV(2) and tan((2)theta=0.40(+0.10)(-0.07), the most precise determination to date.  相似文献

We present data on the effect of polarized laser radiation in the near IR region of the spectrum with wavelength 808 nm on the resistance of juvenile sturgeon to oxygen deficiency in the habitat when the fertilized roe are briefly exposed to radiation in the organogenesis stage. The magnitude of the stimulating effect depends on the exposure time (t) and power density (P) of the radiation and also on its modulation frequency (F). For optimal irradiation parameters (cw mode, P = 2.9 mW/cm2, t = 60 sec), the hardiness of the juveniles increases by a factor of ∼1.5 compared with the control group. The maximum differences in the sensitivity of embryos to cw and pulsed radiation are observed for F = 1 Hz; as the modulation frequency increases up to F = 50 Hz, the magnitude of the photobiological effect approaches a level typical for cw exposure. We show that the duration of the dark period (pause time) between pulses is the critical parameter determining the dependence of the stimulating effect on the modulation frequency. 运用基于最大Lyapunov指数的混沌预测方法对摇摆条件下自然循环系统的流量脉动进行了预测. 对不规则复合型脉动的流量脉动实验数据进行相空间重构, 计算关联维数、二阶Kolmogorov熵和最大Lyapunov指数等几何不变量, 在说明不规则复合型脉动是混沌运动的基础上, 根据最大Lyapunov指数对不规则复合型脉动进行了预测. 通过预测结果和实验结果对比发现: 对于复杂的两相自然循环流动不稳定性, 预测结果具有较高的精度, 说明预测方法的可行性. 同时, 确定了混沌系统可预测的尺度, 提出用动态预测的方式监测系统流量脉动. 本文的研究方法为两相流复杂的流动不稳定性研究提供了新的思路. 关键词: 混沌时间序列 实时预测 最大Lyapunov指数 两相流动不稳定性  相似文献

Hearing losses estimated for exposure to industrial and gun noise and for "typical" nosocusis are applied to the distributions of the hearing levels of adult males and females of the general population of an industrialized society unscreened for exposure to noise or ear disease. Noise exposure and demographic data applicable to the United States, and procedures for predicting noise-induced permanent threshold shift (NIPTS) and nosocusis, were used to account for some 8.7 dB of the 13.4 dB average difference between the hearing levels at high frequencies for otologically and noise screened versus unscreened male ears; (this average difference is for the average of the hearing levels at 3000, 4000, and 6000 Hz, average for the 10th, 50th, and 90th percentiles, and ages 20-65 years). According to the present calculations, this difference is due, in order of importance, to (1) nosocusis, (2) exposure to gun noise, and (3) exposure of workers to industrial noise. For these same frequencies and overall average, adjustments for nosocusis accounts for 2 dB of the 5.9-dB difference between the hearing levels of screened and unscreened female ears. For the average at 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz, the overall differences between the screened and unscreened populations is but 3.4 dB for males and 2.9 dB for females. The adjustment procedures reduced these differences to -0.5 and 0.9 dB, respectively.  相似文献

Minimum audible movement angles (MAMAs) were measured in the horizontal plane for four normal-hearing adult subjects in a darkened anechoic chamber. On each trial, a single stimulus was presented, and the subject had to say whether it came from a stationary loudspeaker or from a loudspeaker that was moving at a constant angular velocity around him. Thresholds were established by adaptively varying stimulus duration. In experiment 1, MAMAs were measured as a function of center frequency (500-5000 Hz), velocity (10 degrees-180 degrees/s), and direction of motion (left versus right). There was no effect of direction of motion. MAMAs increased with velocity, from an average of 8.8 degrees of arc for a target moving at 10 degrees/s to an average of 20.2 degrees of arc for a target moving at 180 degrees/s. MAMAs were higher for a 3000-Hz tone than for tones of lower or higher frequencies, as has been previously reported [D. R. Perrott and J. Tucker, J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 83, 1522-1527 (1988)]. In experiment 2, minimum audible angles (MAAs) were measured with sequentially presented stationary tone pulses (500-5000 Hz), and were shown to exhibit the same dependence on signal frequency that the MAMAs showed (average MAA at 3000 Hz: 8.4 degrees; average MAA at the other frequencies: 3.4 degrees). In experiment 3, MAMAs and MAAs were measured as a function of stimulus bandwidth (centered at 3000 Hz) and listening azimuth (0 degrees vs 60 degrees). Average MAAs decreased monotonically as stimulus bandwidth increased from 0 Hz to wideband (from 8.4 degrees to 1.2 degrees at 0 degrees azimuth; from 11.3 degrees to 1.5 degrees at 60 degrees azimuth). As in experiment 1, MAMAs increased with stimulus velocity, from values comparable to the MAAs for the slowest-velocity (10 degrees/s) targets to 70 degrees of arc or more in the poorest condition (third-octave band of noise presented at a velocity of 180 degrees/s and an azimuth of 60 degrees). MAMAs obtained in the slower-velocity conditions depended in the same way on stimulus bandwidth and listening azimuth that MAAs depended on these variables. In no case was the MAMA ever smaller than the MAA. It is hypothesized that a minimum integration time is required to achieve optimal performance in a dynamic spatial resolution task. Quantitative measurement of the medial surface dynamics of the vocal folds is important for understanding how sound is generated within the larynx. Building upon previous excised hemilarynx studies, the present study extended the hemilarynx methodology to the in vivo canine larynx. Through use of an in vivo model, the medial surface dynamics of the vocal fold were examined as a function of active thyroarytenoid muscle contraction. Data were collected using high-speed digital imaging at a sampling frequency of 2000 Hz, and a spatial resolution of 1024 x 1024 pixels. Chest-like and fry-like vibrations were observed, but could not be distinguished based on the input stimulation current to the recurrent laryngeal nerve. The subglottal pressure did distinguish the registers, as did an estimate of the thyroarytenoid muscle activity. Upon quantification of the three-dimensional motion, the method of Empirical Eigenfunctions was used to extract the underlying modes of vibration, and to investigate mechanisms of sustained oscillation. Results were compared with previous findings from excised larynx experiments and theoretical models.  相似文献

We use an analytic method based on the expansion of the dynamical matrix to determine the thermal dependence of the mean-square displacements 〈u2〉 of volume, and (100) and (110) surface atoms of Cr. For the volume and (110) surface the results are in satisfactory agreement with previous X-ray and low-energy electron diffraction data. In particular, the zero-point thermal motion of Cr-volume atoms is approximately reached at temperatures as high as 170°K in accordance with experiments.A discussion about the temperature at which the atomic vibrations are strongly frozen is carried out for b.c.c. crystals.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the thermal expansion of polymers subjected to small harmonic temperature oscillations about certain base temperatures near the glass transition range is considered. The conformational component of the expansion as a function of temperature is calculated in terms of the conformational transition kinetics. The temperature dependences of the expansion and the expansion vs. oscillation phase shift are analyzed with allowance for the vibrationally anharmonic component. The thermal expansion of polyvinylacetate at base temperatures of 295–320 K, oscillation frequencies of 0.3 and 0.1 Hz, and an oscillation amplitude of 0.8 K are studied experimentally. The measured and calculated data for the expansion and expansion vs. temperature phase shift are shown to be in good agreement.  相似文献

利用替代数据法检验了摇摆条件下自然循环系统不规则复合型脉动的混沌特性, 并在此基础上进行混沌预测. 关联维数、最大Lyapunov指数等几何不变量计算结果表明不规则复合型脉动具有混沌特性, 但是由于计算结果受实验时间序列长度的限制和噪声的影响, 可能会出现错误的判断结果. 为了避免出现误判, 在提取流量脉动的非线性特征的同时, 需要用替代数据法进一步检验混沌特性是否来自于确定性的非线性系统. 本文用迭代的幅度调节Fourier 算法进行混沌检验, 在此基础上用加权一阶局域法进行混沌脉动的预测. 计算结果表明: 不规则复合型脉动是来自于确定性系统的混沌脉动, 加权一阶局域法对流量脉动进行混沌预测效果较好, 并提出动态预测方法. 关键词: 混沌时间序列 替代数据法 实时预测 两相流动不稳定性  相似文献

Abstract Nonlinear oscillations of magnetization (with a fundamental harmonic frequency of ≈0.5 GHz) emerging during 90°-pulsed magnetization of garnet ferrite films with easy-plane anisotropy are studied. Analysis of longitudinal and transverse magnetization signals and of the magnetization vector hodograph plotted on their basis shows that the weak dependence of the oscillation intensity on duration t f of the magnetizing magnetic field pulse (upon its variation from 0.4 to 6–8 ns), which is typical of these films, can be explained by the presence of biaxial anisotropy in the plane of actual films.  相似文献

A simple, non-invasive method for the measurement of eye vibrations above 30 Hz is described. The method can be used in either laboratory or natural conditions, and is based on the cancellation of an illusion of motion that occurs when two nearby light sources flickering in counterphase above the flicker fusion limit are observed during eye vibration. In these conditions, the light sources appear to oscillate in space at a frequency equal to the difference between the vibration and flicker frequencies. The frequency of eye vibration can be determined by adjusting the flicker frequency until the illusion disappears (i.e., until the difference frequency becomes zero). The same set-up can also be used to determine the amplitude of eye vibration, by adjusting the spatial separation between the two light sources until the oscillation appears to be the result of their bouncing off each other upon contact. The reliability and sensitivity of this method are illustrated with data from three observers whose eyes were vibrated with a commercial massager applied onto their neck, and using three different settings for the speed of the massager.  相似文献

基于图论的脑功能网络分析是近年来的一个研究热点,而相同步分析已被证实为揭示多导联脑电信号之间功能连接的有效工具.针对当脑电采集系统中导联数目较少而不适用于采用图论分析的情况,提出使用基于导联间相同步分析的网络连接度指标研究脑功能网络的关联特性和整体特性.采用新的频带划分方法,将0.5—30 Hz带宽内的脑电信号划分到5个子带上,计算了不同数据长度下各子带分量的网络连接度指标,并对比分析了各子带分量的相对功率.结果表明:在对脑梗死患者的脑电图和正常人的脑电图进行分析时,需要合理的数据长度量化不同动力学系统之间的差异;在合理的数据长度下,在网络连接度指标的区分效果方面,19—24 Hz分量信号优于其他分量,而且仅在19—24 Hz频带上,脑梗死患者组的所有导联出现了与对照组的所有导联相同趋势的变化.研究表明19—24 Hz频带是脑梗死最佳的脑电图诊断频段,可将该频段下的网络连接度指标作为脑梗死辅助诊断的新指标.  相似文献

详细讨论了旋涡动力学方程非定常动边界条件。给出了任意非定常运动边界上速度旋度的确定方法。并采用了“局部线性化及再校正”技术、时间滞后求解方法,求解每一时间步边界上速度旋度值。这样可以很大程度上节省计算时间。并讨论了数值实验结果,指出动边界问题的非线性特征,对这样复杂的非线性问题不宜作过份简化。  相似文献

将亚迭代技术引入流体动力学和刚体动力学方程的耦合求解,获得细长三角翼极限环运动的规律.探讨耦合时间精度对飞行器非定常运动特性的影响,细长三角冀的大迎角自由滚运动最终形成极限环振荡的周期性自维持运动,不同攻角自由滚振幅阶跃式的变化特点较好地吻合了自由滚试验的规律.对于多系统耦合问题,亚迭代耦合求解(耦合时间精度为二阶)对物理时间步长的依赖性不明显;而存在一阶时间滞后的解耦推进方法的数值结果强烈地依赖于物理时间步长选取,稍大的时间步长将导致非物理的数值结果.  相似文献
